It was often best to let Rito explain things to Mikan first.

Then, the second step was to give her enough time to cool down, so that she was a lot less angry for Naruto getting himself hurt. Though, she was less angry when he did something to protect others, Naruto getting his head and hand injured was half his fault. Looking back on his fight, he was going over where he succeeded and failed.

He should have been more aware of his surroundings.
He should have grabbed the man's wrist and not his knife.
He shouldn't have allowed himself to be put into a situation where he wasn't able to dodge or block without injury.
He should have kept a cool head, but he lost his cool a couple of times during the fight.

'I've still got work to do to get stronger... but why the hell do I even care about strength?' Naruto thought as he laid back on the grass. His stomach was growling, and he was very hungry, but he just enjoyed looking up at the sky during the night. The moon was full, and very beautiful, and now he had knowledge that beyond that moon, existed more life. '... Lala is a Princess, I've got to get stronger to protect her... but she's way stronger than I am.' Naruto thought to himself as he sat up.

He felt small.

There were entire species stronger than him, he was human, and he knew that Lala was just so much stronger than him. He didn't need to protect her, she could protect herself. Even before meeting Lala, even before swearing to protect her, he had always worked hard to get stronger. To do right by his parents by getting stronger.

"... but how... how can I help everyone?" Naruto asked himself. Naruto closed his eyes, and he thought about how his parents had died to protect his life. Naruto kept his eyes closed and stopped thinking for a couple of minutes, all of the rampant thoughts in his head started to cool off one by one as he just tried to empty his mind. "... I need to live my life for them, and make them proud. Well, I need to marry Lala to do right by her, I swore to protect her, and I've got to protect her honor." Naruto kept his eyes closed.

Sometimes he just needed to vent, to get things off of his chest, but this was not that. He wasn't venting her troubles.

How?

"Heeeeeey! Naruto! I found yoooouuu!"

There was a heavy thud on the grass next to him, and he could feel that Lala had not run to find him, but she had used flight. Her costume must have had wings on it somewhere, of she must have done something to allow herself to fly. Naruto kept his eyes closed for a moment to try and keep his mind on the track that he was going with.

"Naaaaruto?"

"Sup Lala, hey, can you help me figure something out?" Naruto asked her as he turned towards her, opening his eyes and sitting up. She looked confused for a moment, that instead of being happy to see her, he just seemed to have a more laid back smile than his more determined one. "Actually, it's really nice out, want to walk home? The thing I want to ask, I don't really think I can explain it to well right now." Naruto changed his mind on asking for her help in figuring out everything that he had on his mind.

Lala beamed at him.

"Yeah, it's really nice outside, I was flying and it was breezy up there, but down here it's just perfect! I want to see more of this planet!" Lala was excited as she grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet.

Naruto winced in pain.

"Yeah, it's a good night." Naruto rubbed the top of his injured hand. He had not offered his hand to her, she just took his invite to walk as her chance to pull him off the ground. By the way, he would not need switches for his hand thankfully, AND his hand shouldn't have any scars. The doctor was worried about what happened to his head, but other than saying to just take things easy and not to get hit in the head again too hard too quickly.

Naruto offered Lala his hand with blushing cheeks, a cheesy smile, because what he was doing was super embarassing for him. Everything he did with Lala in what he believed had been a dream, that was super easy when you didn't think it was real. His heart was beating a lot faster now that.

Lala didn't grab his hand, she grabbed his entire arm and pulled it between her breasts as she snuggled up close to him.

"Lets go!" Lala was excited, happy, and if she were a puppy she might have pee'd herself. That was the levels of adorable puppy energy that she was showing off. They walked up the grassy mound together and left the river-side, and started to walk with a growing sync of their steps.

They were about the same height, but because she was a woman, her legs were longer and torso shorter, with the opposite for him. They had no problems though, and Lala didn't say a word as she just snuggled up closer to him with a super happy smile.

Her tail was even wagging.

"I really like this part of the city, I always come here when I've got stuff on my mind." Naruto stated as he looked towards an empty lot in between two houses. Naruto smiled to himself when he saw the lot.

In his mind, he could hear fire truck sirens going off when he looked at that lot, and it wiped the smile from his face for a moment. Naruto felt out of sync with Lala, and he noticed that she looked at his changing expression with confusion for a moment. She cheered back up when he put a large smile on his face and showed it to her.

"Do you have a lot on your mind right now?" Lala asked him curiously.

They continued walking as they walked.

"Well, according to Mikan and Rito, my mind is always empty, so who knows. So, you were looking for me, did Mikan send you to find me for dinner or something?" Naruto questioned her. Usually he just got a text or call from the house when they needed him to head home, and usually that came at the start of dinner.

Naruto smoothly changed the subject, by the way.

"Nope, I just wanted to see you! It took me a long time to find you, Papa-Naruto gave his approval!"

Naruto sent her a strange look.

"Papa-Naruto?" Naruto asked her, since he had no idea who she was referring to. Naruto blinked when he realized that Lala had called his mother Mama-Naruto, so he figured out before she even needed to answer. The light of recognition in his eyes told Lala that, and she just grinned. "Oh... cool, the old man gave the a-okay, but you don't need to win their approval. Their approval isn't important here, so just let... hey Lala, can you wait here for a couple of moments?" Naruto asked her when he saw something coming up a few blocks ahead.

Lala watched as Naruto started to run without her, towards a fenced off area that was a couple of blocks away. She could see a lot of stones sticking out of the ground shaped like small rectangular towers with this nation's writing on it. She watched Naruto enter the fenced off area as she walked after him, and he approached one of the stones.

When she got close enough, she saw Naruto with a wooden ladle in his hand and a bucket near the stone, and he was pouring water over the stone. Naruto clapped his hands together after putting the ladle in the bucket, and as she got closer to the fenced off area, Naruto stood up and walked out of the place.

Naruto offered his arm to Lala, and she gladly took it.

She smiled.

"So what was all of that?" Lala asked as she looked at the spot Naruto visited, even as they started to pass it. She had some trouble with the words, but in a couple of days she would have the Japanese written language either mastered or to a point where she wouldn't have much trouble with much of anything.

If she put her mind to it that is.

"Just visiting, like I said, this part of the city is pretty important to me. I come here alone all the time, it really helps me put my heat at ease..." Naruto turned his eyes away from Lala. She must have taken a shower or bath somewhat recently, because she smelled just like Mikan's body soap. But combining that smell with Lala's own natural good smell, the softness of her breasts around his arm.

He wasn't Rito, his reactions were rarely overblown unless what was happening was just a major shock to him on a personal level. He could handle being embarassed pretty easily, and he wasn't going to become a stuttering mess.

He was just having some trouble thinking up what to say right now.

"Tomorrow, I'm going to fall more in love with you, even more after that. I've fallen head over heels for you. You're the first guy... the first person period to ever really get me. I really like the way you make my heart beat faster." Lala was completely honest, and had no such troubles saying what she was feeling or how she felt about her feelings with Naruto. He tail wagged happily behind her, swishing back and forth with excitement. She always had a natural blush to her cheeks, but her cheeks were stained pinker with her happiness.

She wasn't embarassed, this was just pure happiness given form.

"Ah... ah..." Naruto's jaw dropped at that, and his cheeks turned red for a moment. He lowered his head. "... Thanks Lala, that... I'll do my best to return your feelings." Naruto felt his heart pounding harder, and he couldn't help the dumb smile that refused to leave his face.

He wasn't in love with Lala.

Still, the genuine way she spoke that, it caused his heart to flutter, and a tight clenching in his stomach. Just the words she spoke to him, and the utter honesty they were spoken with, could invoke such a powerful reaction from his body.

Naruto grinned at Lala.

Naruto tripped while he was walking, but his quick reaction allowed him to grab onto the nearest object to steady himself. Naruto blinked when his arm hooked around Lala, and his face was pushed up against her breast. Naruto blinked again when he noticed that Lala left out a small noise of surprise when his injured hand grabbed her breast as he clung to her.

'... What the fuck was that?' Naruto thought to himself as he looked towards Lala, and he stood up straight. He had almost knocked both of them down to the ground, but his quick reactions had stopped a small accident from happening between them. He still ended up getting half a face full of a boob, and he grabbed her other boob. "Sorry about Lala... I've been a little bit clumsier lately. Guess my growth spurt is starting to kick in." Naruto grinned hopefully.

Did he eat or drink anything lately that was messing with him, because he couldn't remember eating or drinkinganything all that odd. Well, he did drink that pink liquid, but he did drink that lying bottle in his room that said it was ramen flavored, but it was actually cherry flavor.

A bottle of lies!

"It's fine, I don't mind, what did you trip on?" Lala asked as she looked at the ground, and saw that Naruto had stepped on a perfectly round and smooth rock that was on the ground. The only rock to be found anywhere, and she ignored it.

Naruto just shrugged.

He was sure he had nothing to be worried about.

Well, not counting a pissed Mikan with a baseball bat.
