A/N sorry for the delay, some real life stuff came up that demanded my free time after work this week.
I do not own any part of My Hero Academia. This is a fanfiction for entertainment only.
Enjoy!
Izuku fiddled with the knobs in the shower, getting the temperature just right before stepping into the stream of hot water. He gently set Toga on her feet, although she was somewhat reluctant to leave his embrace.
"Sorry I only have my shampoo and bodywash combo. I wasn't expecting any girls in this shower."
"It's ok."
"Want me to wash your hair?"
Yes please."
Izuku gently took the hair ties out of her buns, letting her long blonde hair fall down her back. He ran his fingers through it, enjoying the feeling. Her back was to him, but Toga could hear Izuku squeezing the shampoo bottle, and a moment later, she felt him begin to rub it into her scalp. They stood in silence for a moment, steam swirling around them as he worked the shampoo into her hair.
"So, I know you just drank a bunch of my blood, which means you could transform into me if you wanted to. I don't mind if you do, just don't…what?"
Toga had whipped around, slinging suds in a line against the wall of the shower. She stared up at him, eyes huge and searching.
"What is it, Toga-chan?"
"You really mean that, don't you?"
"Mean what? Hey now, it's ok, why are you crying? Did I say something wrong?"
Tears had started running down her cheeks as she looked up at him. She buried her face against his chest, feeling the hot water and the suds running down her back and sides.
"You are really…" sniff… "ok with me being you…" sniff "No one has ever accepted me before, Izuku" sniff "No one has ever been ok with me looking like them before…"
He ran his hands through her hair, stroking her head and cheeks as he said, "Well, I'm responsible for you now, right? I claimed you, so I have to take care of you? All I was going to say was if you're going to be me while I'm in class, please just don't draw attention to yourself. Why are you crying?"
"Stupid… they arn't sad tears. I'm just a little overwhelmed. I never thought you'd accept me no matter how many times I told you I loved you. But then you went and claimed my heart even more."
"I've always wondered, if you don't mind me asking… Why do you want to become the people you fall in love with? I know you loved… O… I know you loved Ochako and that's part of why you went around as her sometimes."
"You're not the only one whos ever tried to kill themselves, Deku-baby. My first year of high-school, people called me a freak, a savage, a villain, just because of my quirk. I hadn't even used it in a long time, but because I had it, I was made fun of before school, ignored during school, and beaten up after school. I fall in love with people who are alive… and if I can become them, become people who are SO alive, like you usually are… then I forget that I want to be dead."
Izuku had no response for this. He held her while she cried until the water ran cold.
Izuku left for class, rushing to get to his homeroom early. The class filed in, noticing a distinct difference today. Izuku was already in his seat, head up, eyes alert. The bell rang and the class bowed to Aizawa sensei.
He bowed back before mumbling, "Alright everyone, before we begin, I believe there is some business to take care of…" he looked expectantly at Izuku.
Izuku took a deep breath before walking to the head of the class and bowing deeply, holding it while saying, "I thank you for your concern over the last few weeks. I'm sorry that I shut everyone out, and I appreciate your desires to comfort me, they did not go unnoticed."
The class was taken aback. Not only was he speaking clearly without stuttering, but he sounded calm. No one had ever heard him sound so calm and collected before.
He returned to his seat, flipping his notebook open and staring straight ahead. A few class members couldn't help but stare at him wondering, "is this for real?"
"Alright, now that that's over with, I have an announcement. Your final sports festival is rapidly approaching. This is your final chance to show the world who you are and what you're capable of, so make sure you train hard and put on a good show. Because it's your last one, the events will be the same as your first one, albeit, harder. This gives you the chance to show off how much you've improved since your first year."
The rest of the day passed as usual, but Izuku wasn't paying much attention. He was thinking about the sports festival. It was an important opportunity, and he had some big plans for it.
After school, he went to the training ground as usual, but this time, he sat, calmly, and meditated. He had been using his telekinesis like a sledge hammer, smashing and wrecking things in his way. It was time to get it truly under control.
He reached out with his mind, eyes closed, feeling the shape of the gym around him. He began trying to pick things up and move them, not just big things, but everything he could find. Small movements at first; straight lines and easy movements. Then he tried to pick up as many individual objects as he could, just holding them in place until he let them fall, gasping for breath. He smiled to himself… He could do this.
After a few hours, he wrapped it up and headed back to the warehouse. He stepped inside to find some big changes… the piles of random boxes and crates that had been strewn everywhere had been organized and formed into a sort of wall, screening the bed from view of the door. There was a table, he had no idea where it had come from, pushed to one side, set with plates and napkins, and takeout containers. Next to it, a beaming Toga stood, looking proud of herself. "Welcome home!" she said.
"This is… wow," was all Izuku could muster.
Toga giggled, skipping over to him and planting a kiss on his cheek. Then she wrinkled her nose at him. "Go shower quick, and then we can have dinner."
He tilted his head down, looking at her and said wonderingly, "I never expected anything like this out of you. You always seemed to… excitable for things like this."
She gave him a stern look and replied, "I AM a girl, you know. I have standards of cleanliness for my living space. Go shower, you smell like hard work and boring people."
Izuku cleaned up quickly, rushing through the process once he realized how hungry he was. They ate quickly and in silence, him devouring the food and her looking proud of herself. He stopped partway through a bite and looked at it, frowning, "Do I want to know where you got this food or if you actually paid for it?"
"No."
"Ok."
After the food was gone and the dishes cleaned, they sat on the bed, cuddling as he said, "The sports festival is coming up. It would be a great opportunity for some things I've been thinking about today. It would be really hard to pull off, but I think, if I can, it would cement the next steps that I want to make in changing the world."
They spent the rest of the evening talking and planning, discussing what he wanted to do and how he could pull it off. Then they snuggled down and slipped into a restful sleep, her back pressed to his chest, feeling safe and protected.
After classes had ended the following day, Izuku made two stops before going to the training grounds again. The first was the Principal Nezu, who agreed that he could continue to live at the warehouse as he got his telekinesis under control, even though it wasn't acting up as badly anymore. Izuku didn't mention Toga.
The second stop was to the support department where he met with the pro hero in charge, Power Loader.
"Power loader sensei, I want to make some changes to my hero costume before the sports festival, would that be possible?"
"Well, what kind of changes?"
"Um… I actually want a completely new one."
He handed over a piece of paper. Power Loader looked at it for a moment before saying, "This shouldn't be a problem, but there's nothing special about this design, are you sure this is what you want?"
Izuku grinned, "Absolutely. Please keep it a secret though. It's going to be a surprise."
After that he went to the training ground, sitting down again and closing his eyes.
"Alright," he said out loud. "It's time to give this a shot." His eyes glowed green through his eyelids as he activated One for All. Reaching out with his mind, he tried to pick up a rock. It crumbled into dust. "Well, I guess I have the power portion down… now I have two and a half weeks to get the fine control in there."
Izuku fell into a new routine. Wake up and shower with Toga before heading to class. Class, where he paid just enough attention to pass, while sneakily using his telekinesis to move small objects and sense the people around him. Then off to the training grounds to continue to practice his telekinesis at full strength. Then home, where Toga would kiss him, make him shower, and then feed him. He still hadn't asked what she was doing during the day. He was a little scared to know. Some nights they would cuddle before bed making her feel safe. Some nights he would make sweet love to her making her feel accepted. And some nights, he would dominate her, fucking her like a piece of meat, reminding her that she was claimed. They both thoroughly enjoyed all three options.
His practice at full strength progressed steadily, aided by a significantly healthier lifestyle than he had had previously. After two days, he could pick up rocks without breaking them. After a week, he could thread a needle without looking at it. And the night before the sports festival, he had caught a fly with his mind, brought it to his hand, and released it, still alive and unharmed. He grinned to himself… He was ready to put on a show.
