Chapter 10: Three Kings
Shirou just stood there completely petrified on the spot, his mind unable to understand what he was seeing. He expected at this moment fighting for his life, getting his loved ones out of danger. Noble Phantasms should be blitzing through the air and tearing apart the ground as each side was trying to blast each other with the barrages of them. A highly destructive battle that would force Shirou and his fellow Campione to relocate far from civilization as they bring out the full brunt of their respective Authorities against an arrogant but extremely powerful king of old out for blood. An ensuing fight to scar Japan was what Shirou was expecting.
Not a girl his age to knock on his door and fucking say hello with an honest-to-Akasha-and-possibly-God smile on her face. There was no hidden malice in it like when Illya and himself first met up before she sent an angry Heracles barreling down on him. Oh, the girl before him had the same golden hair, sharp features, and the crimson in her eye particular to Sumerian deities, but that's where the similarities between Gilgamesh and this girl ended. Even if Gilgamesh had the 'audacity' to make himself a girl if it meant to get back at him, Shirou had to scream to himself this was not Gilgamesh!
The others behind him in the manor were of similar shock. Kusanagi was the best coping having relaxed his stance and calming himself down glad that there wasn't some catostrophe upon him again. The same could not be said for the girls close to Shirou, who had all at least seen Gilgamesh during the Holy Grail War. Rin and Illya canceled their magecraft out of shock, dropping glowing gems and locks of white hair respectively to the floor. Medusa looked she had frozen herself with her Mystic Eyes, but none could see the sheer disbelief in her eyes behind her blindfold. Sakura's face was stuck with an open mouth with wide eyes and no movement whatsoever from her.
Finally, one them managed to get their wits back. It was the snow fairy herself lifting up her right hand to point her index finger straight at Ruby, albeit with a shaky arm.
"EHHH!?" Illya exclaimed. "N-Nani!? What sort of damn twist is this? We were expecting the fight for our lives, and you just came here to say hi!?"
Ruby blinked in confusion as she glanced at the occupants apart from Shirou. In meantime, her eyes took in their soul through King of All. The little girl that addressed her was interesting as her soul appeared as a mass of golden flesh shaped into a goblet. Her gaze switched to Rin seeing her as five elements surrounding a formless source and Sakura was literal outlined in a shell of darkness veined red that was completely hollow within. Medusa was the most likely, identifying the former Servant as a goddess from the divinity Ruby saw, and her soul appeared as a beautiful snake of beautiful scales and eyes with a freshly broken manacles. Compared to Ishtar's ugly visage of her soul, Medusa was truly divine for an earth goddess. Kusanagi was ordinary as they come, albeit influenced by his Authorities of a zodiac.
But when Ruby glanced back to Shirou, it was his soul that took her back the most. When Ruby looked at her fellow Campione, she could hardly pry her eyes off of him. His soul to her appeared as confusing and amazingly enough a sword. Its shape was everchanging between different designs created through mankind's history, but the material was constant by the most pure of steel it left her in awe. If Ruby's soul was Light of the stars, then Shirou was Sword of all that is steel.
It was so breathtaking to look at it. Ruby never imagined, even from Gilgamesh's memories, to see a soul in any form to be so pure. The more Ruby looked at Shirou, she found herself lost as one sword became two. And two became a hundred then a thousand then millions of swords. Axes, spears, lances, rapiers, and the most constant of all them was sword. His soul was sword, a world of swords, a plain of sword, a hill of swords, infinite swords, unlimited swords, sword, swordswordswordswordswordswords - Unlimited Blade-
A visible wince made its way on Ruby's face as she was forced to look away. Whatever was Shirou Emiya was something that pushed the mental limits of Perfect Body to where she was starting to have a migraine. In the time she was staring at Shirou, almost glimpsing into his Reality Marble, only a second had passed since Illya's exclamation. Shirou himself felt something nuzzle at his Reality Marble if he can call it that as Ruby laid eyes on him, but he put it at the back of his mind too distracted at the fact his alarm of a possible calamity was unneeded. He wondered if this was the universe's punishment for him challenging fate of E-rank luck.
"While strange as this seems, my arrival here in this land is to simply meet my fellow kings above kings." Ruby spoke in a respectful manner, getting another sigh of relief from Godou. "I have no intention of fighting...however..."
She took a pause in her words and made direct contact with everyone's gazes. They all saw the change in those silver orbs ringed in red and it almost made Shirou summon Kanshou and Byakuya on instinct. The kind demeanor in them vanished to a much colder gaze looking down on them. A look that was very much the arrogance of Gilgamesh looking down on all mongrels.
"Unless you give me reason to ensue hostilities, such as attacking me or my close ones," Ruby said, her tone flat and menacing as she projected a fierce aura around herself, "then I shall show your place below that of the true king of this world."
'And there it is.' Thought Shirou.
This girl's demeanor was throwing Shirou through a loop. Ruby was obviously not Gilgamesh, but there was significant aspects that belonged to Gilgamesh. Then there was the issue that she definitely was in possession of Enuma Elish; he could not mistake that blast that killed both Gugalanna and Ishtar after seeing it firsthand. It begged the question just who is she, how is she a Campione, and what is her connection to Gilgamesh?!
Before a word could be said from Shirou's side, Ruby was suddenly blindsided several young women. He could hear a small scuffle from the side as a teenaged woman with white hair in a white skirt took the Campione's place. A 'friendly' smile was plastered on her face, but Shirou could not help but compare to the the type Rin used in her so-called negotiations.
"Please excuse my friend." Weiss said in a small bow. "Ruby really means best. It's just lately we have been very stressed after certain... violent complications. The last thing we want is to start a fight."
"That's perfectly fine." Shirou agreed, understanding the newest Campione's situation if the reports from the History Committee were correct. "Trust me, I know where you are coming from. As long as there is not hostility from either of us, we can be civil."
"Of course." Weiss said leaning her head to the side to peer what was out of Shirou's line of sight.
Where Weiss turned her sight, she saw Ereshkigal, Blake, and Yang holding back Ruby. The blonde Campione in question was not exactly struggling to break free from the grip of her sister, both blood and adoptive, but she wasn't cooperating either. It was more in the sense that Ruby was trying to understand the actions of her comrades. In her mind, it wasn't like she was going to cause a disaster. At least not yet.
Meanwhile, Shirou studied till his eyes caught the rapier at her waist. As soon as his eyes saw it, Unlimited Blade Works planted the blade to join the limitless. He instantly learned its name as Myrtenaster, the history it was forged in a place called - Atlas? - within the world of Remnant. The shock of such an abnormal detail that the sword did not belong from a planet called Earth only lasted a millisecond to understand the strange, yet similar predicament was in. Like himself and his loved ones, they were cut off from their own dimension.
'By Akasha, what are the chances of the same thing happening to two people and landing them in the same dimension different for their home?' Shirou thought.
"Hey, what's the big idea!?" Ruby exclaimed.
"How about starting a calamity in a fight with two Campione in there!?" Ereshkigal hissed in a panic.
Ruby blinked. "Ho? There were two in there. All the more reason to say hello and talk to them."
"In the 'not-totally-threatening' way, right?" Yang inquired before sighing. "Look, I'm probably the last person to tell you this, but we've been through enough shit and it hasn't even been a fucking week. So please, don't do anything to antagonize, especially when they are someone who has also killed a god."
Ruby waved off. "Don't worry. What I have planned will never lead to bloodshed. Trust me."
"I'll take your word for it." Yang relented.
When Ruby returned to the entrance of the Emiya manor, it was for Shirou to see the whole group belonging to the ninth Campione. His eyes took in their features and noted how none of them showed signs of forced coercion or hypnosis. A good sign to Shirou as that meant these people were truly close to the new Campione in some way shape or form. He was however stunned at when his eyes landed on Ereshkigal as his senses as a Campione revealed she was a divine entity.
"As I said," Ruby spoke, "there is no need for alarm. I have flown across the skies of the world simply to come and greet you as a fellow Campione. If that is alright with you."
Alright with him!? For Shirou, that was cause for celebration! He had to hold himself from making a smile deliriously or else have Rin scold him for not keeping a neutral facade. Finally, someone of the supernatural that had the sense that there didn't need to be bloodshed at all. After the events of the Holy Grail War and fighting gods that wanted a bone to pick with him, Shirou gladly welcomed this. Godou didn't count simply because he was just any ordinary citizen pushed into unwilling circumstances that made him a Campione.
"I'd be happy to." Shirou replied, his positive response causing Rin and Illya to somehow trip off their feet.
'He's too nice for his own good.' The pair thought for as far as they knew Shirou just invited a potential enemy.
"Thank you... and well..." Ruby continued, her tone growing meek and nervous as she seemed to shrink, "There's also another matter that maybe you could do to help us. See, we... don't have a place to stay nor the means to do so. So... as one Campione to another... could I and my friends live in your home for an indefinite amount of time?"
Silence. Complete utter silence filled the whole manor and the outside once everyone heard and understood Ruby's words. Not even the world around them made a sound with a whistle of wind or a ruffle of leaves. After a few seconds did members of RWBY and the goddess Ereshkigal made a face fault with one thing screaming in their heads.
'That's her plan!?'
For those in the Emiya manor, their faces were stuck in a gobsmacked look. Shirou had told them that the coming Campione was in some relation to Gilgamesh, but Ruby did a very non-Gilgamesh by asking for help. As for Shirou, he could not help stop the smile on his face. Whatever doubts he had were washed away. He knew without doubt Ruby was nothing like Gilgamesh for the golden bastard would have sooner shoot a sword through his throat than ask for help.
Rin facepalmed. "Oh no, don't tell me..."
"He's going do it." Sakura confirmed with a sigh.
Illya groaned in exasperation. "Of course, onii-chan will do that."
Medusa gave a nod in agreement. All of the girls knew Shirou's response without even looking at his face. It was both frustrating yet endearing as well. It would not be Shirou because of it.
"I have no problem with that." Shirou answered in his usual kindness, welcoming into his home. "We have room to spare. You are welcome to stay as long as you want."
"Thank you!" Ruby said just below that of a scream, walking into the house.
'Why did that work!?' Was the common thought shared between Ereshkigal and (R)WBY.
"Don't worry about rooms." Shirou added as Ruby's group walked into the manor. "I'll have Oda handle that for you."
"Yeah, then we can have a chat over some tea." Yang said sarcastically.
"That's a great idea." Ruby exclaimed. "I want to get to know the ones who are a Campione as I am."
'THAT WAS FUCKING SARCASM!' Yang screamed in her head.
"I think we could use something like that to at least get acquainted." Shirou agreed as he closed the door. "I'll get started on that tea."
"Ano, let me do that, Shirou-koi, while we get our guests settled in the dining room." Sakura interrupted with a beaming smile.
"Are you sure?" Shirou wondered, only to meet with a nod from the purple-haired magus. "Thank you, Sakura."
"I'll join you." Medusa said, walking beside her surrogate sister to the kitchens.
Though both of them had more important reason for taking the job of preparing tea. They needed to have Shirou as close as possible to another Campione who may still possibly get into a fight. Perhaps it was paranoia, but they could not take the chance without someone who may be related to Gilgamesh or worse became a Campione by killing this world's version of Gilgamesh. As Ruby's group walked in, they met glances with that of Illya, Rin, and Godou. When Ereshkigal and Rin met their stares, they suddenly stilled as if in a trance. That soon caught on with the others glancing between the pair and seeing the obvious similarities they held. It was not inaccurate to label them as twins.
Even Rin and Ereshkigal could see it. They had the same height, the same body structure, same curves, and even the same facial features. If they had the same hair and eyes, no one would know who was who. Slowly, their eyes widened and the two lookalikes pointed an accusing finger at each other.
"EHHHH!?" Rin and Ereshkigal. "WHY DO YOU LIKE ME!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOOK LIKE ME!? STOP COPYING WHAT I AM SAYING!"
"This doesn't make sense!" Rin growled, her eyes looking frantically to find some flaw in their copied looks. "You shouldn't look exactly like me, even if it is some multiverse stupid logic."
"Me look like you!?" Argued Ereshkigal. "There's no way a mortal should look like me! And you certainly can't be some descendant of my sister with her many flings!"
"It's Rin Tohsaka to you." Rin exclaimed, not once having processed that before her was a goddess of the dead.
Before the pair would literally butt heads, a hand held them by their foreheads. They were forced apart where Ruby now stood between the pair of lookalikes.
"Now, now, there's no need to fight." Ruby said. "I for one find this incredibly amusing. Who would thought that you would have some estranged twin lookalike here."
Tension in the air lessened as the potential danger of a fight once again dissipated. Those like Godou and Weiss sighed in relief and mentally thanked Ruby for reigning in Rin and Ereshkigal going off the rails. At that moment Sakura and Medusa returned holding a teapot and a platter of cups respectively.
"Tea is ready." Sakura announced. "Did I miss something?"
"I am honestly shocked this is happening without a fight breaking out." Godou mumbled under his breath.
(Later)
Everyone was put into a more controlled, calm setting as they sat around a large table. On one end was Ruby's group with the Campione taking a seat at the end with Weiss and Yang sitting at her left and right side respectively, Blake sitting next to her partner, and Ereshkigal taking a seat next to Weiss. Sitting at the very end of the table was Shirou with Sakura and Illya taking a seat at his right and left side respectively. Next to Sakura was Rin which put her next to Ereshkigal, and with Illya was Medusa. Godou took a seat between Medusa and Blake where he glanced between both sides.
'Erica is going to run me through after this.' Godou thought, dreading how the girls were going to panic with the fact three Campione were sitting in the same room.
Each one of them had a cup full of tea Sakura had brewed. Some already had sips to calm their nerves, with the most prominent being Weiss and Rin. There wasn't exactly tension in the room, but the air was definitely still. Now that they had settled down to 'make an acquaintance', it now came to the challenge of starting a conversation. That challenge went up to Shirou.
"I guess we should make introductions before anything else." Shirou suggested. "I am Shirou Emiya, the eighth Campione."
When there was no sort of awkward reaction from RWBY and Ereshkigal, Rin decided. "Rin Tohsaka."
"Illyasviel von Einzbern." Chirped the snow fairy.
"Aww, aren't you just adorable~" Yang cooed, only to get a pinch from Blake.
"Sakura Matou-soon-to-be-Emiya." Sakura answered, slightly leaning closer to Shirou.
"Rin Tohsaka." The black-haired lookalike of Ereshkigal introduced before mumbling under her breath. "Also soon-to-be Emiya."
"...Medusa." Rider introduced, hesitant either to use her classification or her real name.
To her slight fear, Ereshkigal responded quite badly when she drank her tea only to spit it out in shock when Medusa's name clicked in her head. All eyes turned to the death goddess as she sputtered to find her words as well as to avoid a coughing fit. Crimson eyes locked onto the former Heroic Spirit with shock and a hint of pity.
"M-Medusa!?" Ereshkigal exclaimed. "I knew you were an Earth Goddess, but... to think I see you here on the physical world again after... what happened in your time. You... Are you okay?"
Medusa regarded her fellow goddess with small surprise from the genuine concern in Ereshkigal tone. "I am fine. Thanks to these people."
"Something we should know about?" Ruby asked.
Ereshkigal cringed as she hesitated to answer. "It's just that Medusa's tale is infamous in its tragedy brought on to her by the Greek goddess Athena. If you thought my sister was a cruel slut, then Athena is a vain bitch. She gives deities of wisdom a bad name."
For a moment, everyone saw a change in Ruby's eyes. While the silver in them glimmered pure, the red tint around them seem to smolder like hellfire. Shirou stilled recognizing the flash of rage from Gilgamesh when he, a 'mongrel', was pushing him to his full power. It soon disappeared, but her smile she adorned was lessened.
"That is something I shall have to remedy then." Ruby mumbled under her breath.
"Since I spoke, I guess I should go first for our side." Ereshkigal said, standing up to make flair with her cape-like purple robes. "Ereshkigal, Goddess of the Sumerian Underworld is here in all of her splendor."
No one said a word, but there was a small applause from Ruby as she repeatedly clapped her hands while giving her adopted sister. Rin paled considerably knowing she had antagonized a divine entity that purely coincidental looked like her. Godou momentarily choked on air and looked at the Sumerian deity with caution and slight fear. Not only was there another Campione in his town with himself and Emiya but another goddess to boot. Shirou remained passive and his silence allowed the rest of Ruby's group to continue with the introductions.
"I am Weiss Schnee, hei..." Weiss said, momentarily stopping when she was about to disclose her Schnee status until realizing it was pointless in a different universe. "Just Weiss Schnee."
Snickers from Yang made Weiss glare at the blonde, promising retribution. This led those on Shirou's side to turn their attention to Ruby's half-sister, forcing Yang to go next.
"Yang Xiao Long." She introduced.
"Blake Belladona." The cat Faunas went next.
"And of course." Ruby said, standing up from her seat with a hand to her chest. "I am Ruby Rose, ninth Campione and king above all. You have my permission to address me as Ruby if you wish."
It was barely noticeable, but Shirou slightly winced. Her mannerisms with their prideful flair brought up to many bad memories of the King of Heroes. At least to his Shirou's relief Ruby was far from being Gilgamesh's cruel and tyrannical self, but the arrogance was there. A pat of his mind was starting to regret letting them come into his home, but it was better to keep an eye on Ruby if they lived in the same house.
All eyes turned to Godou as he raised his hand. "I guess I should finish it off if that's okay. My name is Godou Kusanagi. Just a regular highschool student who wants to live a normal but somehow became the seventh Campione in the process."
"Hey, at least you have a harem with it." Illya chirped. "Like onii-chan."
Godou made a complicated sound from his throat and his face met the table harshly to release a muffled groan. Smiling widely, Illya turned to Shirou only to met with a stern look with his eyes. She was not prepared for her brother pinch her cheeks as a punishment.
"Onii-chan!" Illya whined.
"That was not nice, Illya." Shirou said flatly. "We have people here, and it wouldn't be good to bully Godou by letting out that kind of information in public."
"Hai." Illya relented.
Yang laughed as she pointed at the Einzbern. "I like this girl."
Blake raised an eyebrow at a term Illya mentioned. "Harem?"
Another groan ellicited from Godou, who did not want the topic to be discussed at all. In fact, he would rather have Erica or Ena hounding him right about now, but they were still kept away from Emiya's manor by his Bounded Fields. Unfortunately, his hopes were crushed when Ereshkigal answered the question.
"Well, uh, you see," Ereshkigal answered, a bit uneasy as a blush appeared on her face, "Campione are quite favored among human society, especially the magical associations. It is not uncommon for a Campione to have multiple spouses for political purposes, creating and expanding their own legacies, or for simple carnal pleasures."
Differing expressions appeared on Yang, Weiss, and Blake as they stared at Godou with some glances to Shirou. Weiss looked at the seventh Campione with disgust; a typical reaction if one did not know the finer details. Yang had a wide grin on her face and her eyes held some interest. For Blake, she quickly glanced away with a blush appeared on her pale cheeks as she was reminded of her more erotic novels.
Ruby, however, had a look of understanding born from the mentality of Perfect Body and the residual memories of Gilgamesh. "That makes sense. It is a typical way for rulers to spread their influence and power for other resources."
"Can we please move on to a different topic?" Godou pleaded.
"I suppose so." Ruby said. "I believe there is no need to hide the fact that us Campione were mostly ordinary before our transformation. Perhaps we could share a what led to us becoming a Campione and who was the first god that we killed."
A raised brow was Shirou's response from Ruby's suggestion. It was not really what he was expecting, even if this was for friendly talks. More to the point that it wasn't exactly bad to say and this started to remind Shirou of that meeting of kings Saber mentioned when she was in the Fourth Holy Grail War.
"I can do that." Godou said, lifting his face from the table. "Like I said, I'm just a regular high school student who wants to get into professional baseball. But that went out the window the moment my grandpa gave me tablet and deliver it all the way to Italy. Unfortunately, it was at that time two gods decided to duke it out. The day after that, I was forced to confront one of them and became a Campione by defeating the Persian god Verenthraga."
Ereshkigal blinked in surprise. "That is... quite impressive. Even if it was pure luck, you still defeated a very powerful god of steel. The last I heard of Verenthraga was that he was trying to find someone that can defeat him."
Godou chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah. I almost died because of that. But I didn't want this."
"Whether you wanted or not is out of the question, Godou Kusanagi." Ruby lectured, the red around her silver pupils more pronounced. "You have done what is considered impossible: you, a mortal, having slain a god to become something greater. What about you, Shirou?"
The Incarnation of Sword stayed quiet for a moment before answering. "Unlike Godou, I had a better understanding of the Moonlit World. My father was a magus, and, well, I tried to follow in his footsteps. Skip to my time in high school, there was an incident that put a lot of people in danger."
As he spoke, an image of students becoming bedridden by Caster's manipulations appeared in Shirou's head.
"It would've taken away my loved ones if I didn't act." He continued, another image coming to his mind of Sakura in that twisted form complete with a malicious smile. "I lost count how many times I almost died or my body nearly ripping itself apart."
Another memory surfaced and with it the phantom pain of swords erupting all across his body and his magic circuits burning through his flesh. "And yet despite the unbelievable agony, I endured. Everyone needed to be saved. I did not stop until everyone was saved. Eventually, I came to the source and struck down the one who caused all the suffering. I became a Campione by killing All the World's Evil, Angra Mainyu."
This time when Ereshkigal raised her cup, she almost had it to her lips. But when she heard the name of the god Shirou killed to become a Campione, the goddess lost the grip on her cup, making it shatter on impact with the floor. Ereshkigal's complexion paled to a stark white and her whole body was shivering in terror. It was enough that Ruby looked to the ruler of Kur with worry.
"That's impossible!" Ereshkigal exclaimed, hugging herself as if she was cold. "No, that should not be possible! You shouldn't be alive or worse. It's one thing to defeat someone like Verenthraga as a regular human, but it's another if it's Angra Mainyu! How are you alive!? How are you even still sane!? How did you even beat the world's worst god of evil!?"
"Eresh, breathe!" Ruby cried, her words making the goddess pause in her panic. "Are you okay? What is this about a god of evil?"
"A god of evil is the worst kind anyone could face." Ereshkigal explained after some deep breaths. "They are an amalgamation of humanity's inherent evil. Sin, cruelty, and chaos molded into a being only meant to bring the apocalypse. Angra Mainyu is far beyond that. He is the source of all that is evil in the world, his legacy bringing about the demons and dark being for later pantheons. Even we gods fear him."
"And you killed someone like that?" Ruby said, not batting an eye at the description while her friends cowered at Ereshkigal's fear-ridden words.
"I did." Shirou answered sincerely. "I was less than an inch of death's door. I fully expected to die really, but I guess the universe finally took pity on me, allowing to live with my loved ones."
"I'd say we're in your life so you don't get yourself killed, baka!" Rin grumbled with a blush on her cheeks.
"Agreed." Illya chirped. "So what about you, Ruby-san? What god did you kill to become a Campione?"
"Gilgamesh." Ruby answered immediately, with Shirou's group barely hiding their shock. "My friends and I were exploring a ruin only to have us trapped in a chamber with no way to escape. You can imagine our surprise when we found a person alive in this ruin, body dried to a barely living husk, chained down to a throne, and forcefully kept alive. We would have starved to death, trapped in such an abandoned ruin unless we could kill him. I was able to do so in the end and, well, the rest is history. But unlike you two, I don't have any way to establish at least a temporary home, not without attracting attention. Which is why I request to let us stay in your household, King Emiya."
Shirou smiled. "It's perfectly fine. You are welcome to stay as much as you want."
"You have my gratitude." Ruby thanked Shirou.
"Question for you, Ruby-san." Illya said. "How did you meet up with a goddess like Ereshkigal?"
"It was just moments after my group and I found ourselves stranded in the middle of the desert." Ruby answered, glancing to Ereshkigal. "At that time, Ereshkigal was, for lack of a better word, bullied in following her sister Ishtar. The two of them ambushed, we fought in a heated battle, and ultimately I pushed Ishtar into summoning Gugalanna and killed them both in one fell swoop. Since then, I've had Ereshkigal under my direct protection. I like to dare any of the other Campione come for her."
Illya then stood up and clapped her hands. "This has been absolutely exciting meeting with you, Ruby-san and co, and as Shirou's little sister I hope we can be friends in the time we live together in the Emiya manor. As for you, Kusanaig-san, don't you think you should go to your harem and tell them the news?"
Godou's left twitched as he stared at the snow fairy before giving a sigh. He stood up from his seat and made his way out of the manor but not without a wave of goodbye to everyone. Until the front door opened and closed were there only two great kings under the same roof.
"That was pleasant." Weiss said with a sigh. "I speak for all of us that we do not mean trouble with our stay. We just need to get our bearings."
"I can understand." Shirou replied, leaning back into his chair. "After all, all of us are quite similar in our circumstances."
"How so?" Ruby asked.
"It's obvious you would be lost with all that has happened." Shirou said. "Especially when you are no longer in your home universe. The same happened to me when I landed here on a different Earth."
Let it be known that Perfect Body with all of its physical and mental enhancement that can allow one to rule a kingdom without fault by themselves, it had its limits. Such as the shock factor that can 'short-circuit' the Authority such as seeing the death of a loved one or seeing a parent once thought to be dead. A shock factor has happened now, and Ruby could not hide the gobsmacked look on her face as she looked at Shirou.
"Eh?"
And that's it! Shirou and Ruby have met and for the first time three Campione have sat under a house without fighting. The magic associations of the Campione world are going to shit their pants when they hear about this. Then they will cowering in fear and disbelief at the fact two Campione are living under the same house. It's going to be wonderful to write out how the entire supernatural world is going to freak out about that.
Up next is Chapter 11.
