Epilogue
Ash, Pikachu, Brock, and Misty left the mountain with Luna and Cullen staying back at their cabin and research spot. Eventually, the group decides to spend the night at a hotel in the bustling Goldenrod City as they were on their way to the sacred Ecruteak City of the Johto region. Ash looked out the window of their hotel at the glowing gold lights of the city, being brightened by the night sky. "Today has been such a big day, hasn't it…?" Ash said to his friends, "it all just started out as a rainy morning, but then we got to meet a forgotten old friend all over, got our memories back, and got to meet the leader of Team Rocket himself…", "Pikachu…" Pikachu gazed at the city lights with Ash. Brock looked over at Ash agreeing with him, "I never thought we'd ever get that far with Team Rocket, we've always been fighting those goofballs, but we almost took down the entire group in general". Misty petted Togepi, "Who knows what'll happen next, I can't imagine how bigger our days can get!" She said, "Togi Togi!" Togepi delightfully remarked. Ash went back to gazing at the city lights, "Maybe one day, we'll finally take down Giovanni, and the rest of Team Rocket for good…" "Pikachu!" Pikachu gleefully cheered.
Meanwhile outside, Mewtwo stood on top of a building, gazing out at the neon lit city, and the multitude of stars that surrounded the bigger moon. "I am finally free to go wherever I wish to go…" It thought to itself. "I will no longer isolate myself from this world, I shall go anywhere life takes me…". As the Pokemon gazed over at the moon, it could almost see the face of the child from its memories. "Amber...thank you for everything you have taught me about this world...even if my memories were stripped away by my creators, now that they are back, I can finally take what you have taught me to heart."
And so, the lives of our heroes continued. They went on new adventures, meeting new friends, discovering new Pokemon, and making new memories. Mewtwo continued on its own as well, secretly watching Ash and Pikachu, helping out when it could, though without them noticing the now remembered friend. Every now and then, Ash would hear Mewtwo's voice in his head, echoing the last words he ever remembered it say. "I will always remember you". Ash would be confused at first, but then give off a smile, telling himself, "It must've been my memory".
