Tooru is at home reflecting, "I asked the two teachers I know best for advice... I could've asked my mom but it'd be too obvious what I was talking about. I need to keep this vague."

From Kamate Sensei, "Sounds like you really messed up huh?" She sits on the table, "I guess as your teacher, I should say to be honest and apologize. She might not accept it, but anything is better than not trying right?"

Then from Kitou Sensei, "I see..." she seems to go deep in thought, "It's a love split romance of torn hearts!" she falls hugging herself, "How terribly tragic." then stands up coughing. "I think the best thing for your friend to do is to openly say how she feels before she loses her chance. But hey! Even if she fails she can always end up a super adult like me, with the power of independence!" She beats her chest and Tooru shudders.

Back to the present: Tooru says to herself, "I still don't know what to do..." she gets a call from Yutaka speaking rapidly,

"Tooru, I'm so sooooory! Nagi started asking questions, and I felt like the whole room was squeezing me, and..." Tooru's eye's go to glass as she hears, "I told her everything and now she's going to tell Run tomorrow at school. Please-"

"I have to call you back."

Tooru hangs up, dropping the phone, before dropping herself, "Ah, why does this keep happening!" Her chest heaves as she lets out tears then wipes her face. "I have to do it. My teachers are right. I have to take my chance tomorrow before Nagi gets to her. It's my last opportunity, or I'll lose her forever."

...

The next day at school, Tooru rushes to Run as fast as she can meeting her in the halls.

Stepping to her, Run asks, "Tooru? Are you alright? Do you need to rest?"

"That doesn't matter right now." Tooru says, "Run... ah, it was me! I manipulated Yutaka! I called your brother to scare your boyfriend. I hurt your friends. But I love you, and it was all me. Will you accept it? Do you understand Run, I love you and always have. But now with everything behind us-"

Tooru stops speaking as she sees Run backing away from her, "You hurt my friends!?"

"Wait no!" Tooru says, "Not physically. I maybe just twisted their arms a little, tried to get them out of the way, or told a few lies..."

Run wipes her eyes, "Those things, don't sound like love at all. Love is something you feel when celebrating new years with your family, or being with someone you really like. It brings two people together, it doesn't drive them apart. It's what makes two people honestly know each-other."

Tooru gets up on her toes grabbing Run's collar, and yells "Come on Run, would you just stop it for one minute, and honestly listen to me! You've been doing this ever sense you met him. Where's the Run I know? I've told you what I've done, I've shown you my love, now can't you just act normal for a second and focus!? Tell me how you feel."

"I'm scared." she says without hesitation.

Tooru loosens her grip...

Now bursting in from the other hall, at the sound of Commotion, Nagi see's Tooru holding up a teary eye'd Run, and a crowd built around them.

"Tooru, let go of Run, RIGHT NOW!"

"I can't believe it, you were right!" Yuuko says.

Tooru lets go, leaving both her own hands in the air to defend herself, "No, this is, I... I..." she looks around at the crowd staring her and lowers her head, "I'll leave now." As she does, she takes one last look back to see Yuuko and Nagi rushing to Runs side, where she once was.

And this was only the beginning of her day. She'd spend the rest of it, burning over what happened, and hearing hushed whispers spread.

When school finally ends, she walks through the hallways pouting as she drags her bat along.

"Curse Nagi, thinking she knows more about Run in a mere year, than I do from a life-time of friendship. And Yuuko with her Large! Obnoxious! Constant annoyances, and crying making everything look worse than it is. It's all their fault. Why... Why couldn't she just listen to me! Dammit Run!" She swings her bat smoking a trashcan, sending trash and papers in the air.

When it all clears, she see's the worse person she possibly could. The same person she had just loudly cursed.

"I'm sorry, please Tooru, I'm just trying to go home. Please just let me go home." she kneels covering her face.

"Run..."

"What's going on!?" The door behind them opens, "I heard a bang!"

The teacher see's Tooru holding the bat, a large mess, and Run looking terrified.

Run has her friends walk her home, while Tooru is taken to the office. Her mom is called, and her bat confiscated. Somehow she'd entered a world, she thought she'd never even see... and it's dark, with nothing but glares and accusations to look at.
