Elsewhere on the far outskirts of Lastation Black Heart brought her sword down on the Fenrir killing it then turned to look behind her to see two more running after her. Though rather then being annoyed at the increase amount she instead smirked.
"Let's see if I can get two for the price of one!" she jumped into the air and brought her sword skyward which grew in size with white energy "Fall Slash!"
The crescent wave came down taking out one of the Fenrir leaving the other severely injured "Let's see you survive this! Lacy Dance!" Black Heart delivered a rising kick that sent it up a short distance off the ground then followed up with several more keeping it in the air and finished the monster off with a sword slash.
Taking in her surroundings she saw no more Fenrir around her, she took a small breath and thrusted her sword into the ground then sat down next to it 'I probably shouldn't have accepted that many monster quests all at once' Black Heart thought to herself closing her eyes then turned her head up to the sky and opened them 'No use dwelling on it now I'm almost done'.
She was definitely thankful God Eater was willing to watch her daughter this was just what the CPU needed to clear her mind. However there was of course the dreaded problem that would be difficult for her to face no matter how much she levelled up.
That was of course taking to Neptune.
'What am I even supposed to say 'Hey Neptune I've been in love with you for the past few months that's why I kissed you' like that'll go over well' she pondered for over that scenario in her mind for quite some time, though it wasn't helping her because her mind was producing the perfect little world where Neptune was happily returning her feelings and all of Gamindustri would accept the fact they had a child together with no objections to it whatsoever.
Black Heart shook her head and lightly slapped her cheeks in an attempt to heighten her focus 'I need to stop thinking like that. I can't stay here and hope a fantasy comes true'.
The CPU stood up and pulled her sword out from the ground and flew off 'I'll cross this bridge some other time I need to focus on the rest of these quests'.
"Tornado Sword" Black Heart shouted killing the Metal Naga to which she let out a breath of relief "Not taking on that many quests at once ever again".
"Noire?" A mature sounding female voice spoke from behind her.
She turned and recognize the familiar blue outfit the girl wore "Oh! C-Sha what are you doing here?"
"Hunter business mainly I'm searching for a monster that's been causing problems in Lowee recently, reports say it was spotted around here" C-Sha explained.
Black Heart recalled that Blanc had touched upon that subject briefly though didn't go into deeper detail other then the fact that it was causing her a lot of problems. Black Heart reverted back into her human form and said "Right I remember Blanc bringing that up one time" something else came to her "Wait if it's a problem in Lowee then why are you here in Lastation?"
"Umm… Did you not know you're pretty close to the border of Lowee" C-Sha informed.
"Oh… I… didn't realize" now that she took in her surroundings she saw that C-Sha was indeed right 'I guess I was too caught up in my thoughts to see'.
"Noire, are you alright?"
"Y-Yes I'm fine. So what exactly is this monster?" Noire asked attempting to change the subject.
Putting aside the CPUs odd behaviour C-Sha answered "Well it's a pretty simple for the most part it's just a robot lobster".
"That doesn't seem too difficult to take down" Noire thought out loud.
"It also happens to be giant and can spew fire and mini versions of itself from its claws" C-Sha added in.
"Oh…" was all Noire could let out upon hearing the last bit of information.
"Noire you sure you're okay it looks like something's bothering you?" C-Sha asked with a tone of concern.
"It's…" Noire trailed off but decided in the end it wouldn't hurt to confide a bit in her "I've… I've had a lot on my mind lately C-Sha".
"Like what?" C-Sha saw Noire's hesitant look and added "What we talk about will stay strictly between us. I promise" she assured.
"Well… I've been feeling a certain way toward someone… and I can't figure what to say to her" Noire contemplated being careful with what she said but in the end chose to not. At the rate things were going with her she was willing to accept any help.
"So… I take it you're probably scared of screwing things up with this person-"
"That's the thing C-Sha! I'm… scared I've already screwed things up" Noire tone was growing more sorrowful.
"Hey, hey, hey take a deep breath" C-Sha said which Noire followed "Alright now what's stopping you from telling them?"
"I… whenever I think about talking to her-them about this my mind makes up this fantasy where everything works out perfectly. I know it won't work out that way but I just… I don't even know" Noire admitted.
"I know this may not be the thing for you want to hear, but I think your best option is to just tell her how you feel right then and there. No thinking of anything" C-Sha suggested.
Noire gave her a look as if to tell her she was crazy "Now I know that may sound like a bad idea, but if your mind keeps making up a fantasy where everything works out then you're probably never gonna tell this person" C-Sha clarified.
"D-Do… Do you really think I should do that?" Noire was still unsure of C-Sha suggestion.
"You might hate to hear this but it's probably your best option. Either that or trap yourself in a fantasy and probably never tell them"
Noire had to admit she had a point. If she did doom herself by not talking to Neptune should most likely keep escaping to that fantasy world to ease herself. She closed her eyes and then was enveloped in white light and was in her HDD transformation "I hope you're right about this C-Sha" with that Black Heart flew off.
The Gold Third couldn't help but smile as she watched her "I know you can do this Noire" she said despite the fact that Black Heart probably couldn't even hear her.
However her little moment was interrupted when she heard some mechanical stomping off in the distance causing C-Sha to look in its direction and let out a sigh "Figures you'd rear your metal head after I give her that pep talk" she then ran off towards the commotion weapons drawn.
After a few minutes of flying Black Heart slowly descended onto the balcony of Planeptune's Basilicom and transformed back into her human form and walked to the doors and was about to place her hand on handle before that she closed her eyes and began to mentally prepare herself.
"I can do this" she said trying to motivate herself then looked at her and noticed it was shaking which she responded by grabbing her own wrist to steady it.
She took a deep breath "I need to do this I can't back out now" with a pull the doors opened and Noire let herself in.
It was time she finally confronted this.
A bit of a shorter chapter here but hey at least there's something to look forward to next time
