ONE CAN'T SAY THE REST OF THE DAY WAS SMOOTH, but from the first period till Lunch, the day was normal. Well as normal as it can get in a school of magic. The girls (In addition to their new members) were currently at the Ravenclaw table with Ced and Leo for lunch. They were laughing and gossiping about lots of stuffs. Scarlet and Athena though new to the group had never felt more comfortable and chirpy since the day they joined but they wouldn't change the world for what they're feeling now.

Everyone except Cat was in a good mood. For some reason Nat's vision and her dream seemed to have completely taken over her thoughts. She was so consumed in her thoughts that she didn't even notice that the juice someone had pushed towards her wasn't regular pumpkin juice. So still being completely oblivious she took a sip from her glass. Looking up and towards the Gryffindor table she notice the twins with smirks, those annoyingly playful smirks that she very well knew. She raised her eyebrow at them. It took her a few seconds to realise until she completely spat out the rest of her drink in her glass. But it was too late. Her face had started to erupt alot of boils. She So much that one couldn't see an inch of her pale skin. She shrieked in pain and surprise and she got up and tried to bring her face back to normal with her metamorphamagus powers. But it was useless.

Really! After she tried to be nice to them, they humiliate her in return!?

She felt her blood boil as her hair and eyes turned firey red and her eyes burning with hatred. One can't say this hasn't happened before, but Cat wasn't in the mood for pranks or jokes today especially when her head was searching for answers. She also hated being humiliated in public. Three years of the twins harassing pranks and taunts, Cat had enough. Nat and Cat only ever pranked the twins in retaliation.

She could feel her powers radiating through her body , through her veins. Her powers were fueld by her anger as she stood there in the Slytherin table arms raised and her eyes glazes with fire. She could feel the surge to blast everything out of her way with a wave of her hand. In short, she was controlled by her anger to destroy everything and everyone near her. All she needed was to let that power out expelling everything in its path, like a pipe about to burst.

This is because in the course of the last two years, Cat and Nat have been learning how to control her powers. But Cat still had a flare of anger that could destroy everything.

Nat stood there helpless, looking at Cat. She knew Cat was acting strange since their conversation that morning and right now she knew how Cat's powers could go out of hand- literally and she couldn't risk it. All she wanted was to help Cat with her powers because she knows Cat will regret it. She'll blame herself for everything and end up bottling her emotions. Nat can't let that happen.

Her powers weren't strong to shield everyone at the great hall so she decided to do the next best things. Nat walked infront of the furious girl , placed her hands on her shoulders and telepathically told her Cat. Look at me.

Cat looked into Nat's green eyes and suddenly she wasn't in the great hall anymore. It was like she was in a different dimension. Her surroundings were a blur except for Nat. It seemed like Nat took her on a ride to different places. She didn't quite know how to explain it, but all around her was filled with memories.

It then clicked her. Nat was taking her through her memories. It was alot of different things starting from the time they met to their time at Hogwarts. It seemed like a video without sound playing.

She felt calm. Like her life was perfect. She was surrounded by people who love her.

She felt her anger deflate and soon the flames around her started to fade. A gentle breeze was felt throughout the hall, like everything was calm and in touch with nature.

Dumbledore had walked towards the girls with his kind smile. Even after everything, Dumbledore seemed so calm. Nat was wondering if he didn't know what just happened. But she quickly brushed the thought away as she knew that Dumbledore knows almost everything that happens at Hogwarts.

"Miss. Potter, Miss. Tonks. Would you please follow me to my office" he told them with a warm smile.

Glaring at the twins, The girls walked behind the headmaster without a word and within a few minutes they were sitting at Dumbledore's office

"Girls, I know controlling your powers is hard for you, especially you Catherine." the headmaster spoke in a serious yet soft tone. Yes he called her Catherine - get over it.

"But sir! I just cant control my anger. I mean its like I can't even get angry anymore, which angers me even more. I never asked for these powers." Cat told him in an annoyed tone. She was always feelings like this. She shouldn't loose her temper even if her life depended on it. Over time she just decided to bury her powers deep within her, but the more she bottles up the more she is on the verge of just exploding with rage . How much anger can a teenage girl with annoying enemies keep bottled up..

"I know, you feel scared Catherine and its natural. But this just proves to show how much you care for the people around you. All I'm asking you to do is trust yourself. Believe that you can control them - because once you do that, you'll find them quite useful." he replied kindly.

Sighing in frustration, she nodded in agreement. She didn't need to ask how to control them because she knew that's why the are here.

He the turned to Nat and told her "Natalie for you, the situation affects you mentally mostly since most of your powers are in connection with your mind , in contrast to Catherine's here because her's is more physical. This is what you need to understand. There is a reason the both of you are connected."

After a small pause he resumed to say "You both hold a special connection because together you are very powerful. More powerful than any ordinary witches. This power is stronger than lots of different types of magic. It is essential that you understand that you are one of most supreme forms of magic there is to exist. As such, there is always a greed for more power - a temptation. This sort of power has a control of most of natures forces which makes it equally dangerous in the wrong hands. The reason why both of you were chosen is because the source of your power comes from the light in your souls. But this doesn't mean either of you are indestructible. Your powers can be taken from you by corruption. If you are influenced by dark forces - your powers would perish."

The girl sat there listening in rapt attention, soaking everything he'd just told them. Everything he'd said up until that point made zero sense. It was bunch a sentences that was so confusing. The girls thought it was a series of half meaningful riddles. So many questions were left unanswered and what's terrible is that, Dumbledore - even though he's the greatest wizard - will make almost no sense most of the time.

After he finished, They felt as if the weight of the world was on their shoulder's. Both of them could feel each other's fear and anticipation. This is just too much weight to carry for two teenagers.

Looking at their faces Dumbledore realised what he'd just done, but he couldn't let them live in ignorance. But he wasn't finished.

"Girls, please listen to me. I know there is more. But I can't let you keep your guard down. I need you listen to me patiently. I want you to know, I'm here for both of you."

"We know sir. We were just shocked. Please go ahead. We want to know everything." Cat said.

"Thank you girls. Now where was I? Yes... I also need you to know if one of you is corrupted, then both of your powers becomes uncontrollable. This condition is worse, because without one the other won't survive." he told them gravely, like he was talking from experience which wont come as a surprise because Dumbledore knows everything.

"What do you mean sir?" Nat asked him completely confused with that statement.

"I mean, You need each other. Remember to always be there for each other because your powers are like they come from one body." He explained to them.

But that still made no sense to them. His explanation didn't make any sense. Looking at their puzzled faces he proceeded to explain further.

"Well ... Natalie like I said, your powers are mentally connected whereas Catherine's is more physical. So in a way, each of you is like the mind and body of nature's forces. You know - like the mentally controlled powers and one that required a physical approach. In other words, Natalie's powers stays within her mind but Catherine's affects actual physical change and changes her surroundings."

"So you are co-dependent on each other in terms of your powers. If the mind gets corrupt - the whole body is affected by it and vice versa. So if one of you is in some way affected then it takes a toll on the other as well. As a result causing severe damage in several ways." he concluded.

"Sir, what exactly do you mean by several ways?" Catherine asked him, dreading that the answer wouldn't be any good news.

"Don't worry about that Catherine. For now to control your powers , you need to know you are stronger together and that bond can be formed with the most powerful emotion." he told them with a twinkle in eyes.

"Love." Nat answered knowing very well how powerful Love is.

"Exactly Natalie. Love is most powerful tool of all. If you have that foundation of trust and love that each of you will always be there for each other then I'm sure any obstacle you face, you'll survive because you worked together." he softly told them, knowing that dropping something massive like this would be bad for their nerves, but better safe than sorry.

"Okay, so to control our powers ... we do what exactly?" Cat asked him the most important one of all.

"Remember how, Natalie communicated to you when you felt that rush of your powers? Similar to that. By reassuring each other they you are there. By building your confidence in each other. However, to have complete control you need to fully embrace your powers and let is just flow it through you."

Catherine felt like he had dropped a bomb at her. Embrace her powers? For years she tried to bury this horrible power and just lock it up in her, but now she has to embrace them? That was absolutely ballistic. He made it sound like it was supposed to come naturally. But having powers like this which gives you severe headaches and fire spitting arms is not fun to possess especially when your angry. Its annoying that you can get angry anymore!

This was exactly what was going on both of their heads.

Its just so not fair.

The girl's mind was swirling in a trail of thoughts. The things Prof. Dumbledore told them were racing through their heads like crazy. This is going to take a long time to come in terms with.

That evening Nat had quidditch tryouts, but her mind was nowhere near the game. As much as tried to concentrate, her focus wasn't 100%. She wanted the position badly but the rate at which her mind was losing focus she was sure her dream of playing for the Slytherin team this year was evaporating into thin air.

She changed into her gear and walked with Adrian who was trying out as well into the quidditch pitch. There she saw about twenty to twenty-five guys and about six girls.

Soon she started getting nervous at all these people who wanted to try out. She knew that her chances of making it through were almost nil now because all these people seemed to be fifth and sixth years who looked like they've been trying out almost every year because they failed the previous one.

'Great! Might as well just walk away now' she thought to herself. She knew that she wouldn't be able to focus anyways with everything that happened that afternoon.

Slumping her shoulders she turned the other way and almost walked away when some grabbed her hand and pulled her towards them.

"And where do you think you're going?" Adrian asked her, his bright blue eyes looking sharply at hers.

This was the first time she realised how intense his eyes were. It was one of her favourite shades, like the depth of the ocean was swirling around his iris's. God they were gorgeous.

"WHA... NAT! SNAP OUT OF IT" She screamed at herself.

"You ok Nat?" he asked her in a soft concerned voice. Damn his voice was soo goood.

"SHUT UP!"

Blinking in surprise she stuttered "What? Yeah... just" she cleared her throat and said "Just a bit preoccupied. Nothing important."

What was happening to her? She can't be seriously crushing on her friend! 'Snap out of it Nat! You have a game to focus on!'

As expected quidditch tryouts were terrible. She had almost zero focus while playing, as a result she could only manage three goals. One could see that Nat was easily one of the worst players on the field. Her hand eye co-ordination was dropping rapidly as kept losing the quaffle to the other players out in the field. She just missed the buldgers by an inch almost everytime on came whizzling past her and her goals were very clumsy as most of them hit the rings, instead of passing through them.

Percy and the twins who'd come to watch the tryouts were shocked at Nat's performance. She was one of the best players at the field while they played quidditch at the burrow. But now she's almost as bad a Percy on a broomstick.

What is happening to her?

Cat was wondering why Nat was performing terribly.

"Come on Nat! You can do it!" she thought to her friend.

By then Nat had become a bit better and started focusing on the game. With Cat giving her a boost She whizzed past the other chasers who were trying out including Adrian and grabbed the quaffle from the guy who was currently rushing with it. It was swift grab that the guy didn't even notice the quaffle was gone for a good six seconds.

Ducking her opponents one by one and flying as fast as she could, she reached the opposing teams keeper and threw the quaffle with all her strength and BAM! She'd scored!

All her friends were cheering for her including Adrian who flew towards her and gave a high-five.

Nat felt as if someone had passed electricity through her hand as she touched Adrian's hand. She's never experienced such type of feelings.

So why is feeling this way now? What in the world is happening to her?

She gave Adrian a shy smile as she blushed slightly before she grabbed the quaffle again and rushed off to score another point.

Even though she did okay towards the end, she knew that her tryouts were horrible. She'd shown everyone that Natalie Lily Potter was not a quidditch prodigy like her dad. She disappointed all these people who'd come just to watch her play especially her friends. Moreover she made a fool of herself infront of Adrian.

'Wait. What? That last one was so not true! I couldn't care less if Adrian was impressed or not.'

She was so frustrated with her feelings that as soon as tryouts ended she stormed off to her dorm, ignoring all her friends and Percy and jumped into the bath for long warm and relaxing shower

Her mind completely preoccupied with the day's events. Everything Dumbledore had said was playing in her head like a tape being repeated again.

"There is always a greed for more power - a temptation"

"Your powers can be taken from you by corruption. If you are influenced by dark forces - your powers would perish."

This was all that was playing in her head as she scrubbed the dirt off her body.

She had a feeling that Dumbledore knew something she didn't. Infact he knew alot of stuff regarding her that he didn't inform her. For starters the day her parents died. Or about Sophia Black.

Sophia Black was another thing that she can't seem to shake off. For some reason she knew that name or rather she knew that lady. She swore she'd seen her somewhere along with her husband Sirius. Sirius was another thing she felt a connection to. Its like he was a distant memory or something.

All she wanted was answers and she got were people she had no clue about.

Taking a deep breath, Nat stepped out of the shower only to see her friends sitting there patiently waiting for her. She was in no mood to talk. All she wanted was some sleep and seems like that's not going to happen.

Cat who's read her thoughts just got up and gave her a hug.

"Get some sleep then. We'll talk tomorrow." She told her.

Smiling at her friend Nat skipped dinner and hit her head on the pillow. Thinking she was tired she closed her eyes but it seemed like as soon as she hit her pillow, she was wide awake thinking.

Now that's just not fair.

So as she lay on her bed thinking about Sirius and Sophia she started tracing back her memories to a day where she'd seen them first.

Where had she seen them first?

Nat suddenly jumped out of bed so fast that you couldn't say the word "Quidditch" in that amount of time. But the reason she'd jumped out of bed was because she knew she'd seen the man and woman named Sirius and Sophia Black some where.

She ran to her table and quickly pulled out her journal as she flipped through the pages in search of that memory. She felt utterly stupid for not realising this quicker. How could she not put the pieces together.

'Your so dumb Nat! You had the answer infront of you all this time! How did you not see this today morning when you looked at your journal?"

Flipping through her journal feeling so mad at herself for not being organised, she finally found what she was looking for!

It all started that day.

The day she met Cat.
