Last Day of Hell
'Finally I can go back to the dorm. I've missed that place.' Soma thought as he walked down the hallyways towards the hall where he was meant to serve the 200 breakfast dishes. As he walked towards his station Soma realised the person next wasn't even there yet. 'Hope they didn't sleep in or anything. Would be a terrible reason to be sent home.' As he was setting up his he was approached by two people. The first was a girl who had skin the colour of snow and hair that matched but it wasn't her or skin that stood out the most. What stood out most about her was her ruby red eyes that seemed to glow whenever you looked at them. Then there was the tall black haired boy standing behind her. He had a fiery red bandana wrapped around his wrist and a blank face with no emotions at all and he seemed kind of bored as if he would rather be anywhere else. The white haired girl walked over to Soma very slowly making sure that he knew she was there however Soma already used to the girl's antics just pointedly ignored her. Once the girl was directly in front of Soma she tried to distract Soma from his cooking and make him flustered by talking to him.
"Hey Soma kuuuun aren't you gonna say hi?" she asked in a tone that was borderline seductive.
Soma on the other hand just responded calmly without even looking at her.
"It's nice to see you again Alice. You too Ryo." Soma said which earned a small nod from the black haired boy whilst the girl just pouted and put her hands on her hips.
"I'm disappointed in you Soma kun you don't call you don't write I thought you didn't care about me anymore."
"You're right I don't."
As Soma said this Alice's lips began quivering and her eyes started to tear up
"You're so mean Soma kun. You only care about Erina."
"I don't know what you're complaining about. Unless you're not happy with Ryo?" Soma asked while raising an eyebrow.
Hearing this Alice huffed
"Of course not Ryo is such a good slave I would never let him go."
"Thank god not all Nakiri women are this much of a handful. I feel sorry for you Ryo." Soma replied as he rolled his eyes at Alice.
Before anyone could respond Erina stepped out of the shadows.
"Were you saying something bad about the Nakiri family Yukihira? I hope you weren't because that would be a really easy way to get expelled from Totsuki."
Now it was Alices's turn to roll her eyes.
"Like you would ever expel Soma kun you like him way too much Erina."
Hearing this Erina blushed and mumbled something inaudible but didn't say anything because else she knew it was true.
"Oh look. The two lovebirds are gonna be cooking next to each other." Alice said as she pointed towards the cooking stations.
"Ugh of course I'm stuck with him. Give me a break already." Erina groaned.
"What's the matter Erina? Scared I'll beat you?" Soma asked with a lopsided grin already on his face.
"Of course not. Like a lowly diner chef like you could ever beat me." Erina retorted back angrily.
"Since you're so confident how about we make this a informal shokugeki. The first to serve the 200 dishes win. The loser has to do whatever the winner says for a day how about it?"
"What an easy victory. Be prepared to be my slave Yukihira."
"Whatever you say princess."
Before Erina could say anything back Gin's voice once again came through the PA system.
"All Totsuki students. This is your final warning your last exam starts NOW!"
With that the doors to the dining halls opened and the guests rushed in eager to sample all the delicious dishes prepared for them.
"So what you making princess?" Soma said as he leaned in close to Erina and breathed in her ear.
Erina just shoved him away roughly making him almost drop his ingredients "Stay away from me peasant! Your commoner stench is ruining my dish."
"Wow your harsh words wound me Erina." Soma said mockingly as he dramatically placed both his hands above his heart. "I'm hurt."
The blonde just rolled her eyes and ignored him as she focused on her cooking. A few minutes later the delicious aroma of the food began to attract a crowd. Once the people realised the person cooking was the God Tongue the crowd tripled in size. Naturally some people were less patient then others and this when Soma decided to strike.
As the hungry customers were waiting Soma had all his equipment ready and began his cooking. He purposely exaggerated his every move from cracking the eggs to forming the omelette so that he could draw in a large audience. Just as he planned lots of the children watched the show in interest and they obviously brought their parents along with them. Erina could only watch in frustration as her customers slowly but surely trickled over to Soma's station. Before long Soma had attracted over half of Erina's customers with his live cooking show. Soma effortlessly breezed through the seemingly endless amount of orders.
"Yukihira Soma 400 dishes complete. Nakiri Erina 300 dishes complete. Students you have 5 minutes left before the challenge ends." Gin's loud voice once again boomed out.
The following morning
Erina was in the carpark on her way to the way to her limo when she suddenly stopped and started to search in her bag frantically. 'No no no no. No way I lost the photo of Joichiro sama. God I'm so stupid.' She began to run back towards the hotel but then suddenly stopped as she bumped into someone knocking the two of them over.
"Sorry. Places to be things to do." The blonde shouted as she scrambled to get up.
"Woah. Slow down there Erina where you rushing off to?" The person now identified as Soma asked.
"I uh lost something I think I left it at the hotel."
"Does it look something like this?" Soma asked as he waved a photo in his hands.
"Where did you find that? I spent so long looking for it." Erina said as she snatched the photo away from Soma.
"I found it near the exit of the hotel. I knew it was yours because no one else carries a picture of my dad around with them."
"Oh. I guess i should you thank you then." Erina said softly almost as if she was embarrased.
"Don't worry about it anything for you milady." Soma said with a mock bow "Now lets get you to your car before you start complaining about standing too much." All he got was a smack to the head as a response as Erina flipped her hair before walking away haughtily.
