Here is the next chapter. I hope you like it. Please read and review thanks love Hermione xxx
Colin was actually at the dining table when a random owl landed outside the window knocking with its beak gently. His mother went and let the owl in. "Do you know this owl sweetie? Is it a friend from school!?" she asked as he blushed.
"I don't have many of those to be honest but let's see. Hello sweetie do you have a letter for me?" he asked tenderly stroking the owl in a loving way which made his mother smile. They'd always been very loving towards animals. Currently they lived in Streatham London in a two bed apartment. He shared his bedroom with his brother Dennis. At least Dennis went to the same school as him so they could discuss all things magical and political without needing to hide it. He stood up to let the owl out again after feeding her some water and a treat. She was exceptionally happy and gently nuzzled his cheek to show him this. He opened the letter and soon his mother heard a loud OH FUCK ME before he fainted out cold. She shrieked as her husband ran in.
"Quick Sam get Colin to the couch and I'll read this!" she said as her husband lifted Colin onto the couch where he then heard his wife shout an expletive herself.
"My sons are rich! Someone in their world has a load of money and has given it to my boys. It even says that whoever this is had so much money that the money he or she gave to my boys is nothing!" she said as Sam read the letter. Colin woke up crying tears of joy.
"I can finally have some nice things. We might even be able to live somewhere better. I must go to Gringotts tomorrow and check it out!" he said still crying over how much his life had changed. The stunned family thanked god for their random luck and went to bed. The next morning they woke up and went to the bank. Colin entered the letter in his hands which he presented to the nearest goblin politely who took it and smiled slightly.
"Yes Mister Creevy this is legitimate and we do in fact know about it. Do you wish to visit your vault?" he asked as Colin smiled a kilowatt smile.
"Actually yes I do but I was wondering if it would be possible to use some of these funds to buy a new home in the muggle world. Nothing fancy just a three bedroom property. It would be nice to have my own bedroom! Thank you so much for your help" he said madly blushing as his parents looked mortified too. They had always done the best they could with what they had but had never thought it bothered him as much as it apparently did. Colin was such a good boy.
"Fill in this slip please. It is rare we see a wizard with such good manners. May I say ma'am your breeding efforts were successful. You have raised a strong boy. Congratulations to you. Which area of London do you live we have limited properties available!" he asked producing a huge looking file.
"We live in Streatham. It's very close to work for mum and dad so we would need to live there. Thank you sir!" he said as the Goblin who told them his name was grinder nodded. He lifted up the huge looking file and flipped it open. He seemed to be scanning it for a moment before he seemed satisfied.
"We have one property in your area. It has four bedrooms in it. It comes fully furnished and can have whatever you desire in it. I will have to take ten thousand galleons from the accounts of yourself and brother totalling twenty thousand galleons. Would you like us to sell your current home?" he asked Colin who turned to his gushing parents who were stunned at the compliments they'd received about their son from the goblins.
"Yes Grinder please sell the house. Can this be done quickly? Do we need to put charm thingies on the house son?" Hannah asked her son with a smile.
"Well actually I would like to check about some. Could we please have some safety wards on the new home and can I have the charm on my house which means I can perform magic there? I heard some of my dorm mates talking last year about they have those in their own houses and I want one in mine!" he said as Grinder laughed at his enthusiasm.
"Well yes you can have both of those and I will also be setting you up with the floo network too. I would suggest a vacation while we get everything done or if that is not your cup of tea you could go to a London hotel for a few days. That is up to you!" he said getting everything ready. A few minutes later they were walking through the alley towards the plaza hotel where they would be staying for the five days it would take everything to be ready. Mr and Mrs Creevy however were in for more surprises as the money they got from selling their home which was eighty five thousand pounds once all other charges had been removed went straight into their joint account. The house had four bedrooms. The bedrooms of Dennis and Colin had a Jack and Jill bathroom in the middle which they had to share but they didn't mind that at all. They both had their own toilets and sink. It was the bath and shower they needed to share which was fair enough. His parents were relieved too as they knew how they boys had suffered last year what with not being able to afford the appropriate dress robes to attend the yule ball.
Dress robes were one hundred and fifty galleons for the cheapest ones so you could see why they couldn't afford it. Elsewhere Harry woke up late and was delighted with what he'd done yesterday. That money was only wasting away in his vaults and so it seemed good to help out. Besides which the money he'd given out had not even dented the fortunes in his accounts. Elsewhere Ronald was taken into the kitchen at Grimmauld place and told by his parents to view the memories in the pensive which he did. He was screamed at by his father for it who not only screamed at him but Molly when she tried to scream.
"We don't need you flying off the handle too. Just leave this to me. Now Ronald what I want to know is why when Harry explained to you himself that he did not put his name in the Goblet of fire you did not believe him? Had you ever known him to lie before huh?" he snapped as Ron rounded on him looking so angry it momentarily stumped Arthur.
"Why the hell do you care? Why does she care? She heard how he was being treated in our second year and instead of doing anything about it she chose to lecture us about using your car! Suddenly you care is it! I was mortified last year about my robes and so were the staff. Did you know they asked me why I'd bothered to come if it was to look like that. McGonagall said I'd embarrassed Gryffindor by looking like that. I am so tired of being poor and useless!" he snapped as Molly went red in her face and then cried loudly. She looked completely defeated unlike he had seen her before.
"You know what Arthur he is right. I didn't care about Harry like that and I should have. I was so scared about them breaching the statute of secrecy however that I couldn't care about him in that moment and in everything which followed I did forget about it. I am sorry about that. As for Minerva I will be having words with her about her words because I know she had them with the twins too. I am very sorry we can't afford better things but such is life. Did you know that Harry wrote to me about the yule ball asking why you complained about how looked when someone called Colin Creevy couldn't even go to the ball? You are a very lucky young man!" she snapped at Ron who shrunk back slightly. She could be very intimidating when she wanted to be.
"Yes well be that as it may it's not actually the point. Members of the order were in a meeting Ron where Harry wrote to Hermione. We all read that letter with her permission of course. Now what I ask next I find very difficult indeed however from reading his letter it did stick with me. Did you ever take money from Harry Potter?" he asked as Ron nodded yes.
"Yes of course I did. I mean he didn't give it to me himself of course but said I could have it. Why are you looking at me like that? He told Professor Dumbledore I could have that money. He gave me and Hermione a thousand galleons each. What's with the face?" he asked in pure confusion as Arthur had gone from red anger to pale sheet in colour in a matter of mere moments. It was quite clear that if he had expected any answer from his son it had not been the answer he'd given him. He grabbed his wand and waved it over Ron casting on him silently and asked the question again with the same answer except this time Ron said he thought it was one thousand galleons but could have been more and that he didn't care either way. It had been a familial truth charm which meant that he couldn't lie to the head of the family Arthur.
"You will keep that money in your account Ronald and you will not spend one knut of it are we clear?" he asked seriously as Ron paled.
"I already bought a top of the line broomstick and quidditch supplies which they don't take back once you've purchased them!" he said desperately as Arthur reeled in rage.
"Well then I hope to fuck for all of our sakes Harry Potter is a forgiving young man. Get the fuck out of my face before I curse you to oblivion. Right now I do not even recognise my own son. I am a failure!" he shouted as he burst into tears. Harry and Draco who had been watching while making some breakfast together were stunned. They hadn't seen that confrontation coming. Dobby was busy cleaning and packing the car for their trip up north to Alton towers. It would be so exciting.
