The Snake and The Hand: Coming to Terms
Ginny was not giving up so easily. She couldn't come to terms with the fact that she had been so obviously rejected. It irked her. Normally Blaise would eat up a chance to be with her. She had never seen such a disgusted look on his face. It was the next day. She wore her tightest uniform, that showed off her very womanly curves, kept her robe open, did her make up. She was currently waiting for him in the common room to head to breakfast and her first class. He would be tagging along as per McGonnagal. However, he never came down the steps. Frowning, she ascended the steps and knocked on the boy's door. Draco answered a few moments later- his brow cocked.
"What do you want, Weaselette?" His voice was arrogant as he pinned the redhead with his gaze. Draco was smart enough to know she had some ulterior motive. It was weird that she was allowed to be Blaise's chauffeur as they were in different years. And he could assume by the outfit she had squeezed herself into that she most certainly had something to do with it. Ginny simply batted her eyes at him.
"I'm looking for Blaise." She folded her arms across her chest ass Draco barked out a laugh.
"He's been gone for two hours, try again next time." And with that he shut the door- not bothering to give the girl any information that she could later use against Blaise.
"Where is he?!" She practically screeched through the door, causing Draco to put his hands over his ears. He could hear the girls' door open across the hall, but Ginny's fist hitting the frame told him that Hermione was the one who had opened it.
"I have no idea, he didn't tell me. I just saw him leaving." He heard Ginny sigh harshly and stomp down the steps. He then heard the portrait slam close. Slowly, he walked back over to the door. Of course he knew where Blaise was, not that the Italian had made him privy to the situation. He saw the look in his eyes in the hospital wing. He figured that's where he had went. Ginny was probably on her way there, no doubt. It was starting to become obvious to anybody. Opening the door, he cast his eyes across to catch Hermione's, who had been standing there still.
"Do you really not know where he is?" She sounded slightly concerned. As if she didn't necessarily want Blaise to get in trouble. As if she were worried Ginny was about to start that trouble.
"We both know where he is, Granger." Despite the way he said it, there was no hostility in his voice. He was looking at her honestly. She nodded, stepping out into the hall.
"Do you think he has feelings for her or is just worried about his own arse?" His brow flicked up on that. When the two of them weren't at each other's throats (or lips), they weren't speaking. He had almost forgot how intelligent Hermione was, how quickly she caught on to things. She hardly knew Blaise, yet she was able to come to this conclusion based on one situation.
"I think he's lying to himself," he offered- enjoying the fact that they were having a normal conversation. He began to walk down the steps, Hermione in tow. As the neared the portrait, he held it open for her. Hesitantly, Hermione moved past him and started to walk towards the Great Hall.
"About which part?" It was a fair question. Blaise hardly knew anything about love. He wasn't raised in the warmest of households and consistently thought of himself as better than anybody around him. Doing things for his own gain was something like his prerogative.
"Both. I think he feels something for Luna, but I don't think he understands those feelings. And I think he's probably telling himself he only feels this way because his freedom is at stake." Hermione nodded thoughtfully and was silent as they reached the hall. Draco once again held the door for her, her cheeks flushing slightly. They sat down at the end of the Slytherin table- mainly alone. "What do you think Luna feels?"
This question really got to Hermione. She was able to pick Blaise's ticket right out of the sky. But figuring out Luna Lovegood was... well. Almost impossible. Even if they were friends.
"Well, I don't think she's ever thought about it."
"That's true."
They were silent for a while as they ate, Draco thumbing through the Daily Prophet. Surprisingly, Hermione started the conversation back up.
"They both don't know about love, isn't that funny?" Draco scoffed, looking up at her. He almost hate to break the peace, so he tried a different tactic.
"I don't either. Do you, Granger?" Instead of the anger he had expected, she looked more thoughtful about it. Her fingers pinched her chin as she thought.
"Well, I thought maybe I loved Ron, but looking back I was just trying to hold onto normalcy." Draco watched her for a moment, considering her reply.
"So, we all know nothing about love. Isn't that funny?" She laughed quietly at his response and he shot her a smile. She caught herself smiling back and her cheeks flushed.
"I-uh. We better get to class." Abruptly, she stood- Draco following suit, though slightly annoyed their moment was cut short.

Blaise really just wanted her to wake up. He had only come to bring her book. He was going to set it on her nightstand and leave. When he entered her area, it was still pretty dark. The light of the lantern in her room was casting a warm light over her. She laid on a bed of her pail hair, her chest rising and falling slowly. Aside from the bandages, she just seemed to be asleep. Blaise's heart jerked in his chest. This was his fault. All of it. If he'd done something, anything different, she wouldn't be lying there right now. If he'd of just paid attention to her for two fucking seconds. He tightened his grip on her book, before slowly setting it down on her night stand.
Leave.
But he didn't. He sat down on the edge of her bed and looked at her. For a long while, willing her to open her eyes. He knew it was impossible. She was being subdued as she healed from her injuries. Merlin, he was so fucking angry with himself. The sun was fully up now, and the hospital wing was starting to bustle. Blaise figured he should take his leave so he stood. Brushing the back of his knuckle against her cheek, he turned and walked out.
"I'll be back tonight."
He had been chastising himself the moment the curtain fell closed behind him. As he exited the med-bay, he walked smack dab into Ginny. She bounced back, looking up at him with a wide, teasing smile.
"Feeling so guilty, you can't watch where you're walking?" Ginny was smirking and Blaise nearly snarled at her. She laughed, taking his hand in her own and tugging him away from the entrance. Away from Luna. Blaise allowed himself to be drug. "I can make you forget that." A distraction was welcomed.
She drug him down the hall, towards one of the nearest bathrooms. Classes were beginning, so there were hardly any people in the hall, and nobody in the girl's bathroom. She practically pushed him inside- sending a locking spell towards the door before she put her whole attention on him. Her robes hit the ground first, revealing a button up that was certainly too small for her bust size and a very very short skirt that covered opaque black tights. She unbuttoned her shirt slowly as she walked towards him. Blaise blinked. Was he broken? Ginny Weasley clearly came into this room to fuck him and all he could think was 'I wish this was Luna.' He recoiled at that thought, banishing it from his brain as Ginny dropped her shirt and slowly began to work on his buttons.
He shrugged out of his robe, anger starting to radiate through his body. He smacked Ginny's hands away- making quick work of his own shirt and pants before practically ripping her skirt off. She laughed, obviously very pleased with how this was turning out. He grabbed her by the back of her head and willed her to turn around- pressing her up against the nearest wall. His hands found her hips and he pushed her tights down so that they were both completely bare. She pressed back against him and he growled, nipping at her ear. Why couldn't he get hard? He frowned, getting even more angry. This was all Luna's fault. If she were here right now...
Ah- what was that? His cock twitched at the thought of her in this situation? God, he fucking hated himself for this.
"Don't speak," he growled, closing his eyes as his hands roamed her body, fingers finding her core from the front. He slipped a finger inside of her and she whined. He pretended it was Luna's whine. His cock grew. He grew more interested. He began kissing down her neck, free hand fondling her breast as his other added an additional finger inside of her. She arched against him. His thoughts remained on Luna's body reacting to him. Quickly, he removed his fingers, grabbing the back of her neck and forcing her to the ground. He dropped too, only opening his eyes to make sure she was on her hands and knees- then it was back to day dreaming. He was about to take out all of his anger on an imaginary Luna, but a real Ginny.
Gripping her hips, he lined his cock up with her entrance and thrust in without mercy, burying himself deep inside of her. Ginny let out a loud moan, but Blaise didn't allow her anytime to adjust. He just began to move- roughly, aggressively. His fingers curled into Ginny's hair and he jerked her head back- holding her in place as he relentlessly slammed into her. She was moaning, moving with him, but he was lost in his mind. His fingers curled into her hip. Would he fuck Luna like this? What did her voice sound like when she was being fucked? Did she moan? Why could he only think about her when he had a girl he was completely buried in? He growled in even more annoyance. His hips picked up pace, but became more jagged, pressing deep into her core. Her moans were sharp, husky, his name falling out of his mouth every few seconds.
What would Luna sound like saying his name like this?
"Ah, I'm gonna come!" Ginny yelled out and Blaise's hand left her hip. He jerked her head back a bit more by her hair, his other hand covering her mouth.
"Shut up," he ground out, hips bucking as her walls convulsed around him, melting him with warmth. Two more bucks pulled out, resting his cock on her back as it spewed out his seed that rolled off the sides of her back. He groaned loudly. She was laughing huskily.
"Clean me up?" His face scrunched up and he stood- disgusted with her, disgusted with himself. He grabbed a towel that somebody had left and cleaned himself off, before tossing it on her back and moving to get dressed.
"Clean yourself." His voice was short, and by the time she cleaned herself up, he was dressed and gone. Ginny was shocked. He never fucked and left her like that. Her face contorted in anger and after she got dressed, she left herself, headed straight for the Headmistress's office.

It was later in the evening. Blaise had skipped class and gone back to their dorms. He was annoyed with himself for even giving in to Ginny for a second. He was angry because he felt like he let Luna down and she wasn't even awake. And even if she was- he could probably fuck Ginny in front of her and she wouldn't even bat an eye. She didn't think of him in that manner, so why was he thinking of her like that? She didn't even think like that in the slightest. She would never see him as anything more than a friend. He scoffed. Blaise Zabini, friend-zoned and forced to think of his so called friend so he could get fucking hard. Was this what his life had come to?
He considered this an all time low on his behalf. Hung up on the only girl he couldn't obtain. That was laying in a hospital bed because he was too much of a coward to show outwardly that he had some sort of interest in her. His door swinging open drug him from his thoughts. Draco and Hermione stood in the doorway. Hermione looked furious.
"How could you?!" She snapped, waving her hands in the air and Draco barred her body from entering their room. Blaise raised a brow, sitting up in his bed.
"How could I what?"
"You know how much is at stake! Azkaban! Need I remind you? Azkaban! Imagine what Luna is going to think when she wakes up and you're in Azkaban!" Draco flinched, the scream a little to close to his ear for his liking. But he noted that Blaise looked genuinely confused and was looking to him for answers.
"Ginny says you forced yourself on her." Blaise frowned. What?
"She came onto me. She pulled me into the bathroom and stripped. I was pissed off so I fucked her." His face screwed up in annoyance. "I don't need to rape anybody. I'm Blaise Zabini. I can pull any girl in this school." Well, almost any girl.
"Well, mate, she's in McGonngal's office right now claiming you did, begging you get sent to Azkaban." Blaise paled. Azkaban? Luna would blame herself, surely. He couldn't let that happen.
"I didn't do it, Draco." He said, desperate as if he believed Draco and especially Hermione wouldn't believe him. Draco nodded thoughtfully.
"I saw how she was acting this morning. I know she had every intent on trying to get you under her spell today."
"Well, it didn't work. I left right after and came here."
"So she's out for revenge?"
Hermione sighed, silent this whole time. She didn't want to believe that Ginny would do this, but she wouldn't put it past her. And Blaise sounded genuine. "Ginny doesn't like when something doesn't go her way." Both the boys effectively stopped talking and looked to her.
"So I'm just supposed to go to Azkaban because Ginny Weasley didn't get her way?" Draco chuckled under his breath, despite the dark situation at hand.
"No. I have a plan." And with that, Hermione turned, beckoning the pair to follow. "Let's get this sorted out." Draco and Blaise shared questioning looks before they quickly followed after the Gryffindor.

When they arrived to the Headmaster's office, Ginny was sobbing in Ron's arms. He had apparently been called to comfort his younger sister. However, when the three of them came into view, Ron was on his feet and ready to swing on Blaise. Hermione stepped in between them, eyes beckoning him to continue. He backed down slightly.
"You're bloody disgusting. That's my sister!" Ron howled at Blaise, whose eyes narrowed.
"You're sister threw herself at me, I didn't do shit to her," he snarled back, before McGonnagal cleared her throat. Everybody fell silent.
"Excuse me. But Blaise, as I'm sure you've been informed- but there are some very serious allegations against you. I don't need to tell you what thin ice you were already on, what with Luna's injuries and now this accusation. It would be foolish of me to overlook all of thi-"
"Headmistress, I'm sorry to interrupt." Hermione spoke up, stepping forward. "I believe we can clear Blaise for what he's being accused of."
Ginny was glaring at Hermione- Ron's jaw was practically on the floor.
"Y-You can't be serious, 'Mione. You're believe a death eater over one of your best friends?"
"Former. And I don't want to see anybody falsely punished." She sent Ginny a pointed look, before turning back to the Headmistress. "A pensive."
Ginny spluttered at that, but Ron was already yelling. "Yea! Great idea! We can see how disgusting Blaise really is!"
"I-uh. Wait. Ron, shut up," Ginny said quietly to her brother, who shot her a weird look.
"I'm willing to do this, Headmistress." Blaise spoke up. He couldn't let himself get sent to Azkaban. He couldn't leave Luna like that. Ginny was turning red, shaking with anger at this point. She shot up.
"Fine! I'm lying!" Everybody was shocked, not expecting her to speak so soon. That was, except for Hermione. This had gone exactly how she thought it would go. She knew Ginny would rather admit it, then have her brother see her in such a situation. Her face held a slightly smug look. McGonnagal looked appalled.
"I- ... er... Well, ..." The awkwardness was apparent as the Headmistress tried to find some ground to stand on. "I'm sorry, Mr. Zabini. You all may be excused. Aside from you Ms. Weasley. That was a very serious accusation. We will be having a discussion. Ronald, you can stay as well. Mr. Zabini, they should be bringing Luna out of her slumber tomorrow. If you could just stay in the hospital wing for the night, that would be best." He nodded.
Having been dismissed- Hermione lead the boys from her office and out into the corridor. The both of them were still shocked that her plan had actually worked, forgetting how truly gifted she was.
"Thank.. Thank you, Hermione." Blaise said as he let out a breath of relief, using her name for the first time and showing gratitude for a half-blood for the first time in his life.
"Yea, sounded like Ol' McGonnagal was reading your rights in there!" Draco joked, elbowing his friend in the ribs. They all shared a laugh, relief evident from all of them.
"You're welcome. Now, if you don't mind. We have to get back to studying." Hermione nodded towards Draco and they both took their leave towards the dorm- Blaise headed in the opposite direction towards the hospital wing.
