Three days later I went with Dimitri to pick up his family from the airport. It was nice to be a little alone with him even if it only was for an hour. We sat in one of the school's cars and was now going down a road towards Billings. I had convinced Alberta to let me go, that I would behave and not do anything Rose like.

Sitting beside Dimitri with his hand holding mine, made me so happy. It felt so right. I looked over at Dimitri, I could not stop the smile. I could see a smile spread on Dimitris face, he knew I was looking ofcourse.

"What are you doing Roza?" he asked me.

"Looking at my boyfriend. He looks so good." I answered him. His smile grew.

"Does he now?" he said.

"Oh yes. He has this way about him that makes me so happy" I said. Easy conversations like this was not always something we got to experience. Things had not been easy between us but things were looking up and I could feel that my life was picking up. I could have Lissa and Dimitri in my life, I was going to see that it work.

"I love you comrade." I said.

Dimitri looked over at me "I love you to Roza."

We pulled up at the airports parking lot and exited the car. Dimitri took my hand in his as we walked inside so we could meet up with his family. It felt both weird and right at the same time to hold his hand, we could normally not do so around people. But now we could, if only for a while.

"There they are" Dimitri said as a family of six come towards us. Dimitri's mother Olena, two older sisters Katarina and Sonya, Katarinas two children Paul and Zoya. And Dimitris little sister Viktoria.

The Russian speaking was rapid so I did not even stand a chance to understand them. Many happy faces and hugs. Dimitri looked over at me and took my hand again pulled me towards him and his family introducing me.

"This is Rose, Rose, this is my family, Olena, Katarina, Sonya, Viktroia, Paul and little Zoya" he said.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you all." I said with a smile.

"It's so nice to finally meet you," Olena said, pulling me into a hug. "We have heard so much about you." I hugged her back smiling. It was so nice to be accepted so quickly.

"So you are Rose, Dimka talks about you" it was Katarina.

Viktoria almost attacked me with a hug. "It's so nice to meet you. Dimka has been alone for so long, it's so great he met you." This made me blush. Dimitri had told me that they knew, but it was still weird that people knew. "We will be great friends," Viktoria continued.

"That would be great," I said.

"Onkel Dimka? Are you and Rose in love?" Paul asked Dimitri. Dimitri smiled and dowd down to Paul's level.

"Very much so" he answered him. Both Dimitri and Paul looked up at me, Paul giving me a huge smile.

"Hello Paul. I have heard so much about you." I said to him. Paul's smile grew even bigger. He took my hand. "You will hold my hand now" he almost ordered. This made me smile.

"Of course Paul," I told him.

"Shall we go?" Dimitri said.

"Yes. I'd like to see this school" Viktoria said.

Dimitri walked first and me and Paul last.

"Rosa, are you a guardian?" Paul asked me.

"Not yet Paul, I will be in a few months" I told him.

"So Cool. Uncle Dimka is the best guardian" Pauls said. This made me smile.

"Yes I think so too" I said.

We walked out of the airport toward our car. Dimitri drew as usual and I let Olena sit in the front. I sat between Paul and Viktoria. Katarina and Sonya sat in the back with Zoya. Sonya had not said a lot to me but Dimitri had told me that she was pregnant so she must be tyard. I did not push it.

"Sor Rose, do you know who you will be guarding when you have graduated?" Katarina asked me.

"I am hoping for my friend Lissa, Vasilissa Dragomir. " I said.

"The Dragomir Princess?" Sonya asked.

"Yes. She and I have been friends from preschool" I told them.

"You are one of her guardians right Dimka?" Katarina asked him.

"Yes. We are hoping that I can guard Lord Ozara instead." A conversation on our guardianship and relationship started then. We might know and hope how we might proside but everyone did not understand. So telling his family was a bit complicated. Olena understood our choice but Katarina questions it and Sonya was not on our side on this. Way chance such a great charge, to guard the last Dragomir, the reputation.

We got back to st vladimir around sunset, so the vampire day was just starting. We were let through the gate and on the school grounds. Dimitri parked the car and we all stept out. Paul had fallen asleep and was leaning on my shoulder.

"Excitement makes you tyard I guess" I said.

"Yeh, He was almost jumping in his seat on the plane here." Katarina said givin Zoya to Olena and taking Paul so that I could get out of the car.

"I wish I could stay but I promised Alberta to go to her once we got back" I said. Alberta had said that if I was going with Dimitri to pick up his family I had to go and have an extra training season with her. The small sacrifices we made for our time together. I looked over at Dimitri and smiled before I left to meet up with Alberta.

I did not have to look far, and soon we were in the gym sparing. She got some great hits and so did I but she was not an easy opponent. I did win in the end but we had been at it for some time.

"You have really improved sense you and Princess Vasilissa returned." She said.

"Dimitri has been a great instruktor, I have learnt so much," I said stretching.

"You two… you two are so much alike, cut from the same tree. I can see way you to have this relationship" she said. It made me happy that she thought so, Alberta had always been there when my mum wasn't.

"He makes me happy" I said, feeling a smile form on my lips.

"So how was his family?" Alberta asked me.

"Grate, one of his sisters was not the most supportive but otherwise. His mother was great and welcomed me into the family. Paul, Dimitris nephew, was so sweet asking questions." I told her.

"Remember Rose that even if I am not your mother, I will always be here for you." Alberta said. "Now it's about lunchtime and after such a training session I think we need some food."

"Food" I exclamed and fistbumpt the air before almost running towards the commons.
