Chapter Ten:

Uzu and his men stood staring at the strange girl. She stood before them with no fear. "Who might you be?" he asked.

"I might ask the same thing." she replied coolly.

Uzu was offended at such a gesture. "Don't you recognize the Northern Gang Alliance."

'I believe I have heard of you."

Uzu moved in closer. "Then you know that we deserve your respect." he barked.

"Show me." she replied.

Uzu's men joined him surrounding the girl. "This is your last chance." he barked. "You will show us respect."

"Are you sure?" the girl said putting her hand on her waist.

His men lunged at the girl, but then toppled into a heap. Uzu starred in confusion at there predicament. They were wounded, disarmed, and humiliated. Uzu dropped to his knees. "Please forgive me." he pleaded. "Spare me and my men. I beg you."

"Look at me." the girl demanded.

He looked towards her. "I am Sastuki Kiryuin of Honnouji Academy. I demand you to pledge me your loyalty."

Years later Uzu was at Sastuki's feet again. "I beg you to give me a second chance." he said. "I will restore the reputation of the Athletic Club."

"I will grant your request."

Uzu exited Satsuki's chambers. Nonon waited outside for him. "How did it go?" she smugly asked.

"I will deal with Akame." he grimly replied.

Nonon let out a quiet chuckle. "Good luck."

Uzu walked away. That Nonon was so frustrating. Always bragging about being in Satsuki's favor. He was going to show her.

Akame was lying in bed. She stood up and began to get dressed. She started to get a funny feeling, like she was being watched. She reached for her sword and approached the door.

Akame opened the door and saw Barazō kneeling down, staring where the crack of the door was. He then stared up at her, looking very guilty. "Uh...uh...uh..." he nervously stuttered.

Akame pointed her sword at his neck and he crawled away from her. "Please I am so sorry." he sputtered out. "It won't happen again."

Akame sheathed her sword and walked away. She briefly turned around. "I'll see to it."

Akame sat down on the table with Mako and Matarō and joined them for breakfast. Matarō stared at her with a guilty look. "What was that?" she asked him.

"Uh what?" he asked.

Mako looked over. "What was it?"

Matarō sighed. "I swear it was not my idea," he insisted. "I told dad that it was a dumb plan."

Akame huffed. "You guys are weird."

After breakfast Akame walked out the door and down the street. It was a normal day, until it wasn't. A large armored man fell from the sky. "Akame!" he shouted out.

"Who are you!" she demanded.

"My name is Uzu Sanageyama!" he declared. "You humiliated my Club Presidents Takaharu Fukuroda and Omiko Hakodate, thus tarnishing my reputation in the eyes of Satsuki Kiryuin."

Akame lifted up her sword and displayed a couple of inches. "You want a fight?" she asked.

Uzu swung an enormous fist at Akame who dodged. She threw off the sheath and lunged towards him and swung towards his peg legs. Uzu stepped over the swing, but Akame turned around and came at him again.

The sword clanged against the back of his leg, and he swung again and again. Uzu turned around and swung a fist down. Akame leapt up and shoved her legs against the fist, propelling herself towards Uzu's chest.

Uzu lifted his free hand and it slammed against the sword. Akame slid down then took a swipe at his torso. The sword clanged against his breastplate. She then landed and took another stab at Uzu.

Both of Uzu's fists swung towards Akame. She quickly dashed under his legs and the fists clanged behind her. Akame skidded and whirled around. She jabbed at his back and cut into his armor.

Uzu whirled around with a fist coming at Akame, but she leaned back and it swung right over her. She lunged at him and stabbed at his head, but the sword came short. Before she could swing again, he slammed both fists downwards.

With no time to dodge Akame lifted up her sword. With a loud clang the fists banged on her sword. She dove to the side, letting the fists slide off her sword and then struck Uzu on the torso.

Akame then jumped up and slammed her sword into his head. It struck the slates over his face, bending them. A fist came towards Akame, but it went right over her head. Akame jumped up onto Uzu's shoulder.

Two fists swung over Akame's head as she climbed up him. She swung her sword and slammed it into the visor of the helmet. Being blinded, Uzu lurched violently forward. Akame tumbled forward but managed to land feet first.

Uzu approached Akame, while flailing wildly. Akame managed to stay out of reach, and his blind swinging fell short. Uzu wound back and threw a large punch. Akame froze and let him come at her.

At the last second she quickly dodged and went at Uzu's helmet. She thrust her sword into an open hole. Uzu jumped backwards, pulling the sword out of the hole. He quickly backed off away from Akame.

When Uzu gained some distance between himself and Akame, he turned around and ran away. Akame took off after him, but he moved too quickly. She huffed and puffed down the streets, but was unable to catch up. Uzu disappeared into the horizon.

Uzu stood before Sastuki, head hung in shame. "You have allowed the girl to further tarnish the reputation of the Athletic Club." she declared.

Uzu glanced at Nonon who was smirking at him, but quickly looked back to Sastuki. "You must forgive me." he begged. "I was blinded."

Sastuki approached Uzu with a frown. "You could not fight her because you could not see her?" she asked. "Then you must not rely on your sight. It is a crutch for you."

Uzu was shocked by such a statement, but he tried to stay cool. He could not disappoint Lady Satsuki, and go against her orders. "Very well," he stated. "I will no longer rely on my vision."

"You are dismissed." Satsuki replied.

After the Elite Four cleared out Inumuta walked in. Having failed to get access to the Matoi mansion, she hoped Inumuta could at least figure out what was going on in there. "Having had time to look over your notes." she said. "Have you gained a greater understanding of the energy of the Matoi Mansion."

"Given that you have allowed me a closer look at Ryuko's sword, I can closer analyze the energy it gives off."

"And how does it compare to the energy the Matoi mansion gives out."

"That energy appears far more diverse." Inumuta relied. "It appears to be multiple strains."

"So they are multiple sources of energy."

"Indeed, the sword appears to be from another dimension." Inumuta noted. "The Matoi mansion is a weak point in reality."

"So that's why my mother set up shop there." Satsuki grumbled. "I knew she was hiding something."

Sastuki knew she had to inform Akame of this, but not yet. She still needed to be tested first. A second round with Uzu would do that.
