Rolled on the ground dodging the lightning rain from Heavens, Ryoken quickly pushed himself up for another waves of magic attack was heading his way. He tried, but he was no God. Avoiding them all was impossible. Hence, more and more wounds showed up on his body as he struggled to catch his breath.

Meanwhile, a few knights made their appearances. Without any hesitation, they drawn their swords and charged forward. They only have one goal but that person wasn't having it as the circle underneath him grew and a barrier was created. The moment their swords came clashing with it, they were sent flying. Though he succeeded in stopping from interfering with their battle, that person let his guard down. He didn't realise Ryoken was right in front of him until it was too late. Yet, instead of panicking, he raised his left hand up and grabbed the blade tight as it pierced through his palm. It stopped just an inch away from hitting his right eye. Then, with his free hand, he released a powerful attack which Ryoken only managed to dodge partly.

Being forced down on one knee while cold sweat ran down his chin, the sapphire eyes teen pressed hard on the serious wound on his stomach as he felt his consciousness fading away.

"Are you ready to give up?"

"In your dream!" As soon as he finished, the taste of blood rushed up his throat.

"Too bad. If you had said "yes", it would have been an easy death." That person pulled the sword off and held it up high before swinging it down. "Farewell."

Yet, just when the blade was about to cut through the prince's flesh, a powerful energy ball appeared out of no where and once again, caught him off his guard. At that moment, the bracelet around his wrist glowed and it turned into a being with six tentacles which created a big cocoon around him. He was unharmed. However, his friend took some serious damages.

"Ai!"

"Don't worry... I'm fine." He said as he returned to his original form in his commander's palm. Half of his face was missing while there was holes all over his body. "More importantly, focus. It's not over."

At that moment, the air suddenly got colder as another voice echoed in the air.

"That's quite an interesting "thing" you got there. However, it isn't going to save you a second time."

The next thing he knew, another magic attack was heading his way. Biting his lips while holding onto his friend tight, that person jumped back while chanting a counter spell. It was his most powerful attack yet and it did the job. However, it also drained him of his remaining energy.

"Ho? So you aren't a complete useless magician."

"Show yourself!" He yelled out.

From the shadow, a figure emerged. He was wearing a long black robe with golden trim which had the Royal's family crest sewed on the chest. Next to him was Ryoken who was being protected by a barrier. He wasn't wearing any mask, but no matter how hard that person tried, he still couldn't see their face.

"A cloaking spell?"

"Spe..tre..." Ryoken struggled to call out. "You're...back..."

"Everything is going to be fine now, your highness." He said while casting a healing spell. "I'll take care of this insect immediately."

Meanwhile, on the other side...

"Yusaku, let's retreat."

"What- You gotta be joking! We came too far to--"

"If you die here, EVERTHING WILL BE BE MEANINGLESS! Do you understand?!"

"Tsk!" Biting his lower lip, he chanted something in an ancient language and the wind started to gather around them, slowly creating a tornado.

"You aren't getting away." Focus his energy into the palm of his right hand, Spectre launched his attack. However, the second they came into contact, both disappeared leaving no trace behind. "They manage to escape huh? No matter." He leaned down, picking the unconscious Ryoken up and carried him back inside the castle. "I have a feeling we'll meet again."
