Present Time
Wayne Manor, Gotham City
The eyes are unmovably wide, looking at a masked man with glowing red eyes. Her eyeballs are shaking in the inside. "How is it all happening?", Kara questioned to herself.
"You tell me!", Batman demanded, with an advanced hoarse tone. "You entered in my place, able to find my cave underneath this manor, and then assumed in calling me my dead's son!".
"I had no idea it was Thomas Wayne under that mask. I thought it was him", said Kara, expanding her air released in the exterior sides of her. She lowered her eyes down, then shifting her sight slowly upwards, inspecting this Batman's current suit. A suit held in with a darkish red oval, centred in is the bat symbol. The belt strapped on his hips is colour toned a slight red variation of the standard colour. He wore a cape and a mask, each appearing in the colour of pure black. "Rao. I never knew we would come to face each other in such terms to impossibly exist. But it did, it was rendered". Kara's eyes fully eyed on Thomas' worn red eyes. She reflects on the event of which was how Batman came to be born. "That night in the alley". She sees Batman's eyes briefly widened in reaction to what Kara raised up. "Bruce was killed, wasn't he?".
The name had shaken Thomas extremely. Surge of energetic lava hanging inside his head.
"Instead of you?", Kara deemed. After laying that line up, Kara felt herself being lifted up. Higher above Batman, Kara's body began to fly over the Dark Knight, aimed at another table, where alcohol was all stacked up on. As Kara slammed on that table, most of it broke apart, along with the table broken into two half-parts. Kara landed on the ground, shortly groaning prior to silencing her mouth. Kara's body was straight away lifted upwards, seconds levelling up to matching Thomas' point. She then sees Thomas holding up a kryptonite spear.
"Better start explaining yourself while I can still hold some sense to suppress my anger", Batman warned, readying the spear at Superwoman's mouth. "How did you get here? Why are you here? And why did you earlier call me Bruce?!".
Superwoman's groaning started going tenser, the gritting and the small bits of roaring are occurring more. Two of her arms, shivering, slowly stretched to Batman's spear. The pacing is sluggish. The closer they got to the spear, the bigger kryptonite's exposure wearies and burns on her hands, severely weakening them. Kara's hands grows closer and closer, finally touching on the spear. The latter tangles the spear, trying to take it off course. Kara had some strength left inside of her to wrestle with Batman, whom is vastly off his prime. Batman and Superwoman's strength get into a brawl of stirring over each in trading wings. Using that as the distraction, Kara thrusts her forehead, hammering at Batman's forehead, causing the Dark Knight to carry himself metres back from the small collision. Kara spun around, bringing her arm to touch the side of the fragmented half of the table. She uplifts it up, turning the direction to Batman, she fling it forward.
Batman raises his face up, encountering a table slamming at his face, forcing him to stagger, having one knee touched down. He looked up, seeing Superwoman running up at him. The latter crashes a foot pressed on his jawline. Batman's body laid flat on the ground. His head although went back to watching Kara, as she closes the distance.
"I'm not your enemy Dr. Wayne", said Kara. She then rolled her thought additional to other ways. "In fact, what if your not really Thomas Wayne, nor Bruce Wayne. It's safe to bet that I may be in a virtual reality, or an illusion, or I'm in my own mind". Superwoman remembered all the things her cousin had experienced when he was Superman. He once had a Black Mercy embedded on his chest when Mongul wanted to exact his revenge on him over humiliation before. He did face Mr. Mxyzptlk, of which the latter had been a tremendous challenge to Superman ascribable of his powers so high not normally or typically seen by mortal men or any alien specie. There were mortals who were capable of putting Superman in virtual world via the Man of Steel being kept asleep. Superwoman remembered all the things her cousin had experienced. Some had almost pounded it so hard it almost broke him in the inside. "You could be someone bigger of a threat". She upheaves her head over the top, trying to recall what she had previously faced before her awakening in a place not known of her usual role in. "What did happen before I woke up in the Daily Planet?".
As soon as she mentioned it, her mind fries as the burning coal, extinguishing smoke of memories impaled inside Kara's head, making the Kryptonian woman begin to have flashbacks. Flashbacks of her last fight with Non, the seconds of witnessing Oliver Queen beaten to death by Non, and herself and J'onn's faceoff against a giant Doomsday. Those flashbacks appeared as a separate side, that side was covered from a thin line. On the other side, there are memorial events from this timeline. Events at which she first started seeing internally via mind, through the sight of catching in space two pods shot out from a planet. One of those pods crashed to the Phantom Zone because of the planet's explosion. The shift changes into seeing the Atlanteans and Amazons holding a peaceful meeting caused from when Aquaman and Wonder Woman criss-crossed hands. Another shit showed the romantic moment between them, with the two sharing a kiss in the bed in Themyscira. This occurrence was witnessed by Aquaman's wife, whom came to have a shroud of jealousy and anger inside her. The shift then forwards to Aquaman's wife attempting to assassinate Wonder Woman, whom ultimately defeated her and cut her head off, in addition to placing her helmet over Diana's head as a warning. Mera's corpse was sent to Aquaman as a gift, which drove the latter into waging a devastating war with the Amazons. Her last shift entered on a man in late thirties pummelling a man to death, whilst Martha, distances back from Thomas' point, cries on a kid Bruce's chest as all it is left of him is his corpse. Seconds later, Thomas arrived, wrapping his arms under his dead son. Those flashes finally ended, Kara outcries an outburst pain streaking around her head, causing her to fall with one knee down.
Batman slowly stood up. He promptly forwarded to Superwoman's side. Concern elevates on Thomas' face, an aspect of concern and curiosity. He was about to ask why Kara was acting like that, and what the overflowing spark around the head briefly was. His timing was bested by Kara's voice.
"Everything is real. Aquaman. Wonder Woman. Last year, Aquaman flooding the United Kingdom. And before that, Wonder Woman leading the Amazons on blitzkrieg in London. I see it now; these visions prove it; Earth isn't a parallel world like the ones the Justice League had encountered, neither was it an illusion, dream world or virtual reality. Everything exists as perfectly as it should be in the world I was fondly known of. This is the real world", Kara explained to herself, while placing a hand sheeted on her face.
Batman reached to Kara's backside. "That's the first thing you've said that's made sense", Batman commented, receiving open eyes from Kara as she spun around to face him. "Except the funny term Justice League".
"Justice League? It's a group of superheroes that prioritise the safety of many innocent people, especially if they're aliens from outer space. Their job is not just mainly laying their utmost call for saving lives, but also apprehending supervillains", Superwoman explained.
"Sounds more like a godhood to me. This so-called team, imaginary, blitzed into existence, and peeled their eyes like gods over the planet. That is too insane to ever exist", Thomas remarks.
"Your tone seems to play the act of you-don't-know-what-a-Justice-League-is kind of thing", said Kara, having seconds before sensed Batman's reaction over the name. "They don't exist, do they?".
"No in-built picture of superheroes banded together", says Batman.
"Of course not. This get-together was founded by Superman", Kara said.
"Superman?", Batman exclaimed.
"He is my cousin. My last only blood left of my family", said Kara. She then transformed her array of thoughts reflecting on the obtained memories of this history. "This new timeline. When Krypton was exploded, myself and my cousin were shot off into space, in the hopes of being kept save from harm's way, whilst also keeping ourselves protected under the yellow sun. In that instance, I would be the one who wouldn't make it all the way Earth until the next 2 decades. Strangely, in this way, I made it. Whereas, Kal-El never reached the planet".
"What is Krypton and who is Kal-El?", Thomas questioned.
"Krypton is the planet mostly inhabited by my species. It was actually the home planet for all Kryptonians. In regards to the name Kal-El, that name belongs to my cousin", Kara explained.
"Coming from what you said from your dazed knock-off headset, you're saying this world was never supposed to exist?", Batman inquired.
"No", Kara said, after nodding sideways. "This whole timestream is out of its character. It's uncharacteristically turned into a diabolical catastrophe. No Justice League. No large batch of good-hearted heroes; only bad cops on the line, like you. In my newly attained memories, no memory came to the comprehension of Green Lanterns appearing in this world. They are a corporation light years away that give their power rings to worthy people to place everything in a fixed degree in setting things right".
Batman noted the possible existence of Green Lanterns in this Universe.
Then from a sudden view, a piece dropped out of Kara's belt, which brought about Kara and Thomas' attention. Their sight directed on a fragment tapped on settling on one spot on the ground.
Kara picked the piece up, analysing it from her perspective.
"What is that?", Batman asked.
Kara looked closely on one of side of it, recognising the texture from before. Flashes of memory jolted up on Kara, this time not shaking her up like she did when she was blazed with loads of memories. A one simple line of memory came of the use of a familiar tech. The veiling flash blackens for Kara to see the normal colours. Her eyes widened, with Kara thinking one thing that may had caused everything inside this timeline into becoming something else. Short seconds advanced, Kara discerned a ring tone from Batman's side. She rotated to Batman's side, perceiving him sticking a finger on his earpiece.
A female voice appeared in Batman's ears as he absorbed every line he essentially wanted to learn. "Okay. Thanks for the update", Batman retorted. Then his eyes widened. "Gordon did what?!". He shows a shocking reaction. "Damn him. He can't go there. The Joker is way dangerous than she looks under that skin".
"She?", Kara exclaimed, whispering to herself.
Batman declined the phone swirling around, which quickly caught Kara's attention.
"You still won't help me end this war?", Kara raised, causing Batman to stop his trails.
Batman's eyes directed at the darkness. "I can't", he replied.
"Even divulging you my previous timeline, you still won't help", Kara questioned.
"I have a reason", Batman shot back.
"What's your reason? What's your problem with the Joker?", Kara demanded, walking to Batman. "From my perspective, I view your side as a reign of terror over the underworld of Gotham".
Batman spun around, confronting Kara by the eyes. He glared at him with a gritter aspect. "Because he's my wife! Martha Wayne! Now a psychopath", Batman aggressively answered, making Kara critically stung at the identity of the Joker turning out to be none other than Bruce's mother.
