The first day of Tōtsuki started with the students assembling in the main hall, Then the students were waiting for Dojima Gin to start the day. The students were separated to several groups and they went to their class. Rin and the other students who is in the same group with him, is waiting for Donato Gotoda to arrives at room that was assigned for him.

Donato is an 80th Generation Tōtsuki Alumnus and the owner of the Auberge Tesoro Restaurant, he specialized in Italian cuisine. He has blonde medium-length layered hairstyle which exposed his forehead, He also has a tall stature and a cleft chin.

Donato arrived at the exact time, not even a second late and a second less. A lot of people was intimidated by his presence, but Rin doesn't felt intimidated at all by him instead he felt excited to cook for him.

"You have one hour and thirty minutes to impress me. If you could do that, you will pass this class. And the theme is Italian Cuisine… Start now" Donato announced to the 50 students in his class.

Chaos immediately erupted in the class, apparently most of the students are nervous about this. Donato who saw the reaction of the students, smirked when many of them started to panicked.

"Uncertainty and lack of self-confidence will be their downfall" He talked to himself.

Rin was thinking what to present to Donato, the dish itself has to be outstanding and delicious in order to impressed Donato. Rin was confused to choose between Gioppino Seafood Stew or Mushroom Rissoto, then he decides to make the Seafood Stew.

The main ingredients consist of; Mussels, Clams, Shrimp, and Bass. Rin was preparing his dish went he heard a familiar voice.

"Fufufu, it appears that we're on the same class, Rin-kun" Alice said to Rin while leaning on the counter of his cooking station. Rin looked at Alice and was shocked by her sudden appearance but he managed composed himself and reply her.

"Indeed, Alice."

"Best of luck to you" Alice said before she walked to her cooking station and continue her preparations.

After some time, Alice finished first and walked herself to Donato. After taking a bite, Donato was very impressed by the girl's dish, it was delicious. Alice took her leave after hearing that she passed and then she walked over to door while passing Rin's cooking station and smirked playfully.

Rin put more of his attention on his cooking, intending to surprise Donato. Many of the students failed to pass Donato's class, they were given a chance to try again but unfortunately time is not on their side. Rin saw the disappointed and desperate expression on the student faces but Rin knew that in order to survive Tōtsuki you have to set your goal and have the skills to back it up. Tōtsuki wasn't meant for the half-hearted students who only went to Tōtsuki for gaining popularity and playing around, the school itself was very hard to get into.

Rin finished his dish and making his way to Donato, he saw his dish and was pleased by the taste, plating, and consistency of the dish. Donato who was a bit of disappointed by the lack of talent in his class now was not expecting great dish coming to him anymore, since he was already amazed by Nakiri Alice's dish; the dish itself was truly exceptional, with her cooking method itself was not the usual method that many chefs used now. Donato wonders, will someone in this class amazed him again?

"Cioppino Seafood Stew with Gremolata Toasts" Rin said while presenting the dish.

Donato was stunned by the smell of the stew; it was so fragrant and aromatic. The plating was truly beautiful, so many elements on the plate yet it looked perfect and synchronize with each other. But the most important thing in every dish is the taste, doesn't matter if your plating was perfect if the dish itself tasted bad.

Donato took a spoonful of the Cioppino Seafood Stew and to say he was impressed was an understatement, he truly is amazed by the dish; while the broth and the seafood is strong, it doesn't reject each other instead it improved each other tastes and the toast just soaked the broth and making it more flavorful and delicious. Donato legs cannot withstand the flavor, making it so weak and limp. Donato found someone he was interested in and he was planning to recruit him in the end of the week, if he survived the Hell's Camp.

'He has outstanding talent, has terrifying potential considering his age, and also hasn't reached his peak. Kobayashi Rin, what an interesting student you are' Donato thought while looking at the boy.

Rin noticed Donato expression and he praised himself in his mind because he was able to amazed Donato, the owner and head chef of the Auberge Tesoro Restaurant. He was very grateful that he accomplished to amazed him and leave an impression.

"You pass with flying colors, Kobayashi Rin. This dish is truly amazing" Donato said.

After that Rin left the class and intending to proceed to the next class, not noticing a pair of green eyes observing him.

Rin walked down the halls of Tōtsuki Resort and glancing at his watch. The watch showed the time of 11 o'clock, his next class is in three hours. He was bored, because he finished the class before everyone and he don't know how to spend the time until his next class. He wondered what facility does the resort have, 'I could go to the spa or back to my room and sleep for a bit' He thought. Still lose in his daydreaming, he accidently bumped someone.

Erina Nakiri was very bored right now, the camp wasn't even a challenge for her. She finished her tasks quicker than the other students, she wanted to find Hisako but then she remembered that she's probably still in her class. She had an idea about hanging with Alice but she immediately shut down that idea, it's better if she stayed away from her mischievous cousin. She thought about asking her 'neighbor' where he was and asking him to accompany her boredom, but then she has her pride that need to be maintained. Nakiri Erina was a prideful person, she is 'The Gods Tongue' and the heiress of Nakiri Family. She won't ask someone to help her get rid of her boredom, especially him; since that she couldn't stop her blush when he was near her, couldn't slow her fast beating heart when he talked to her, or couldn't stop staring at his eyes.

Erina unconsciously smiled when she thought about the black haired boy, somehow she didn't mind his presence instead she enjoyed it while there are her 'conditions', but she liked when he was with her. And speaking of the devil….

BUMP!

Erina fell to the ground and when she was about to unleash hell to the person who bumped her, she stopped and shut her mouth immediately. There was him with a worried look on his face and when they made eye contact, he offered his hand to help her up. Of course, as the prideful person she is, she rejects his help and stand up by herself.

"How could you push me to the ground! Such act is not tolerable. I want you to apologize and bow to me right now, if you don't do this, I will let the whole school that you are a pervert and tried to take advantage of me" She yelled, her voice has authority in it.

She smirked when she saw that his eyes are wide as the planet and she noticed that he was so shocked that he remained silent the whole time.

"Pervert? Taking advantage of you? Oh please, your exaggerating this Nakiri-san… it was an accident, I was lost in my thought when I accidently bumped you" He said while making direct eye contact to her.

"Your lying" Erina knew that she was wrong and he was right. She was exaggerating this matter but at least it reduced her boredom. Both of them still keeping their eye contact, but even they knew that they were lost in each others eyes. His azure orbs staring at her amethyst eyes, both of them started laughing together.

"Oh you should see your face" Nakiri said. Both of them laughed again, at least their interaction made them get rid of their boredoms.

"Where are you going, Nakiri-san? I thought that the class are still going until 2 in the afternoon" Rin asked her.

"I already finished my class before the others could. What about you?"

"Same here… Do you want to do something together and spend some time until the next class starts?" He asked her, he hope that she accepts the offer. Spending time with her was really fun and he could saw that the 'ice queen' wasn't as cold as peoples say, instead she was nice.

"What are you planning to do?" She asked him. Nakiri was glad that the one who asked was not her, even though she wanted to spend some time with him, she wasn't going to say yes in a heartbeat.

"I don't know what I'm going to do, we could play cards or doing something else. If you want to play cards, I have it in my room"

Erina's face was flustered right now, he heard him correctly; he asked her to play cards in his room, just the two of them, and they were the opposite sex. But if his sister was Rindou then he wouldn't do something incredulous right and beside he doesn't look evil or something like that.

Rin noticed the reaction he got from the blonde and he immediately realized what he said earlier.

"No! it's not like that. We could play at the connecting door and if you don't want to, I could manage something to spend my time"

Erina was blushing so hard that her face color could rival Yukihira Souma's hair. But she wanted to spend the time with him since there are no better options.

"Fine"

Both of them went to their room then opened the connecting door. Rin noticed that her room was bigger than his room and looked more luxurious. He noticed that her bed was super king size and she has more space in her room than his, but the thing that he caught most was the 120" inch TV and the huge closet.

"Why is that your room is bigger than mine? And the TV?!" He asked. Erina smirked when she saw the astonished expression on his face and the disappointed voice.

"Of course, it's bigger. I'm the god's tongue and the heiress of the Nakiri Family"

Rin pouts when he heard the reason why. Erina who saw his face, giggled in her mind 'So cute' she thought.

"So what do you want to play? We could play poker, blackjack, or go fish" He asked her while giving her the cards. Erina was tempted by the sound of poker but they don't have the chips so she chose blackjack.

"Blackjack sounds good' with that they sat down on the floor and Erina dealt the cards. Rin chose to make a small talk to her.

"So, Nakiri-san. Will you compete in the Autumn Selection?" Erina who was still focus playing cards was startled when she heard him asked her, but she smirked eventually.

"Because I'm a member of the Ten Elite Council, I won't compete in the Autumn's Selection" Erina said arrogantly.

"Oh I see…. You're the tenth seat right?" He asked mischievously, Erina didn't noticed his expression and she just nodded while her eyes still on the cards; she smirked when he saw her cards are a pair of jacks. She showed him the cards confidently

"By the way Nakiri-san, If I won the Autumn's Selection then I could be the first seat faster than you" Rin told her while showing her his cards; an ace and a king. Erina pouts her face when she realized that his cards are blackjack.

"Oh you mean that the Shokugeki for Tsukasa-senpai first seat that he promised you if you won the Autumn's Selection." Erina said unconsciously.

"Wait, how do you know that?" Rin was curious why Erina knew the agreement he and Tsukasa agreed on. If he remembered correctly, He didn't tell anyone about the agreement, the only one who knew was him, Tsukasa, and Rindou.

Erina fell silent, she accidently blurted out the fact that she knew about the Shokugeki between Rin and Tsukasa, but the fact that she was eavesdropping the conversation between them. She moved her eyes from the cards to him, what she saw caught her breath. There he was sitting in front of her while his eyes are onto her, those azure orbs of his. His eyes were so beautiful and elegant yet they could be intimidating at the same time. Erina felt so powerless when she saw his eyes, it's like a predator looking to the prey and right now she knew she messed up. She's confused whether to be honest or lie to him, then she decides that she should be honest to him but then twisting the truth a little is fine in her eyes.

"I'm sorry…. I 'accidently' heard your conversation when you talked with Tsukasa-senpai and Rindou-senpai. I know about the Shokugeki for the first seat between you and Tsukasa-senpai. It's when the first day in school, I overheard your conversation. I know it's not my place to say but you can't beat Tsukasa-senpai in a Shokugeki. He's known as Der Weiße Ritter der Tafel or The White Knight of the Table for a reason, you know. With your cooking right now, it's not enough" Erina said while fidgeting her fingers and avoiding his eyes at all cost.

There he heard it again, 'It's not enough' how many times do people said that to him. He knew that people are just being honest but it hurts to know that his effort is not enough to beat him. While you could say Nakiri Erina is a genius, while he was a prodigy of hard work. He thought that he's good enough, but when he and Tsukasa battled, he was outclassed again. While it hurts but he respected the people who told him, the things he needed to improve.

"I already know that. Tell me, what I'm missing here. My sister told me the same, about that I wasn't good enough to defeat him but she didn't say anything what I'm lacking in. People told me that my dish was excellent but it wasn't enough. I don't know what to do…." Rin said while staring at the floor and his thoughts are lost in his head.

Nakiri Erina was shocked that he's not mad her instead he asked for advice?

"While I had already tasted your dish when your unofficial Shokugeki with Tsukasa-senpai but it's not enough for me to give you the advice you need. But I could tell you this, your culinary arts are better than most of the students of our generation" Erina said with a smile that so sincere it made his breath caught.

"Then, how about one day I cook for you? Then you could give me some feedback" Rin said eagerly. Erina liked the idea, it meant that she will spend some time in the future with him.

"Sure, why not"

Rin smiled at her, she wasn't like the people say about her. He could notice that the Ice queen demeanor was an act, an act to push people away, an act he could see right through her.

"You know Nakiri-san, You're not the same as people say about you" He said to her and giving her a smirk.

"Wh-what do you mean?" Erina stuttered a bit while questioning his statement before.

"I mean, people say that you were ruthless, cold, and arrogant but after spending some time with you most of them were wrong. While you're a bit arrogant, I think that you're nice and kind." He said while giving her a smile that could melt her heart instantly.

Erina blushed hearing the praise coming from his mouth, she ignored when he said that she's a bit arrogant but when he said that she's nice and kind, she felt butterflies in her stomach. She really liked hearing that from him, it makes her happy. While Rin doesn't know that she only acts like this with him, even she didn't know why she acted like this but she didn't it at all. She gave him her the best smile that she could give him and thanked him for the compliment, just as she thought that she could not be more embarrass than this, he talked again.

"You look more pretty when you smile. You should smile more often"

Erina was so embarrassed but in her heart she felt so happy and she doesn't mind to hear that again from him. Rin's eyes opened wide as he recalled what he said earlier to her.

"(Cough) let's play the cards again" he tried to control the awkwardness between them. He didn't know why he said that, while it's the truth, he can't tell that to the Nakiri Erina herself. Erina who was deep in thought because what he said earlier finally regained her awareness when he talked to her. The two of them talked with each other and to say that both of them didn't enjoyed it was a lie. They both talked about each other lives while Erina told him about her duty as the tenth seat and 'the gods tongue', Rin talked about him as his sister forcing him to taste her dish. Kobayashi Rindou specialized in 'Exotic Ingredients' meant that she could use fantastic or bizarre ingredients. Many experiments went wrong when she used the bizarre ingredients and as the taster and her little brother, Rin has to endure the horrible taste of the food. Erina laughed out loud when he told the story about Rin and Rindou's childhood while leaving many sensitive subjects. Erina was so grateful that her mischievous cousin was not here, if she was here, she would not stop teasing her in front of him.

In one of the class room, Nakiri Alice sneezed.

"Rin-kun, why do you want to beat Tsukasa-san so much?" Erina asked, showing her curiosity.

"I don't know Nakiri-san. It's just that he's my target to surpass, both him and Nee-san. I really don't care about the first seat before but since Tsukasa-san is the first seat I decide to take it from him. He was my role model when I was a kid, when I was eleven, I watched him cooked so graciously and it's so stunning; the way he combines many ingredients and turn into a unity. So that's why I want to beat him so badly-" Rin said to Erina. Erina knew that Tsukasa's cooking was gracious and she finally knew the one of the motivation in his cooking.

"My father died when me and Nee-san was little and since then my mother always took care of us. The main reason I cook is to make my mother smile. One day my mother came home late from work, at that time she had not eaten anything at all, so I decide to made her a fried rice. It tasted so bad; it's salty, overcooked, and unbalanced but despite the horrible taste, my mother finished the dish and smiled at me while saying that my food was delicious. I knew it tasted so bad and she was forced to lie to me so she won't hurt my feelings. Since that day I vowed to myself that I will cook her the most delicious food in the world and make her proud"

Erina was touched by his explanation, 'To vowed his cooking for his mother, just like me' Erina thought. Rin's expression when softened when he talked about his mother. He will make his mother and Rindou happy as much as possible and he will protect them at all cost even it hurt him. Erina never thought that Kobayashi Rin was such a soft heartened man but everybody knew that a man's weakness was their mothers.

Both of them continue to bond and having fun and while spending the time until the next class. While both of them are having fun with each other, Yukihira Souma found himself a rival.

With Souma. (Earlier of the day)

Yukihira Souma's first class was Hinako Inui's class, She is an 80th Generation Tōtsuki Academy Alumnus and a previous 2nd seat of the Elite Ten Council. She is the owner and head chef of the Japanese Restaurant, Kirinoya.

Hinako is a woman of average height who has a curvaceous body, dark brown hair, dark purple eyes, and an ample bust. Her bangs cover her forehead and has tresses framing her face. Her hair is secured by a ponytail which passes her right shoulder and is slung on the side. Her eyes are usually seen closed and has a smiling face. Her choice of attire is a kosode with a white hemline, which is topped with a sleeved apron; it has a large collar and has two rectangular hemlines, with the inner one having a dark color.

Hinako projects an image of a mature, serene, and calm individual. However, she actually has several childlike tendencies. At times she is childish and carefree. Hinako instantly resonated with Megumi Tadokoro, because of their similar personalities. However, her brand of care towards her is borderline obsessive rather than caring. Despite this though, behind her serene personality, she can be just as ruthless as her fellow Tōtsuki Alumni, showing that she has high standards for the students and is not afraid to deem a dish unworthy. Hinako also believes that chefs who stumble and make the wrong choices when faced with an unknown situation are not needed in Tōtsuki Culinary Academy.

Hinako sat in front of the class while eating her kaki seeds snack.

"You have two hours to make me a traditional Japanese cuisine, you can use any ingredients available. You will be in teams of two" Hinako announced to her class.

"Excuse me Inui-chef, there's no main ingredients in the pantry" One of the students said.

Hinako Inui smiled mischievously. "This compound is surrounded by nature; there are many animals, vegetables, and others. You have permission to find any ingredients inside the fences, you are restricted to go outside the fences. You may begin". After hearing that chaos erupted with the students. The students immediately grabbed the fishing rod and a bucket then went outside to find the river.

Megumi Tadokoro was grateful that she was on the same class with Yukihira Souma, Souma was able to bring the best from her. She felt more confident when she's with him. There's something in Souma that attracted her so much.

"Yo, Tadokoro! I'll be your partner for today" Souma waved at her.

"So-Souma-kun" She greeted her back. Both of them are discussing what to make for Hinako Inui when a third voice interrupted them.

"The new transfer student, Yukihira Souma. My name is Takumi Aldini" A blonde student said while stepping on Souma's foot.

"Because you stepped on my foot more than ten seconds it meant that you did it on purpose, right?" Souma asked while narrowing his eyes at the blonde. The person in front of Souma has blue eyes and short blonde hair with a fringe that parts to both sides and one long bang in between the two. He also wears a white chef outfit with orange outline on it. For overall, the boy is very good looking and fashionable.

"Of course. I wanted to meet you in this training camp but who would've thought that I would meet you in the first session. I'm gonna crush you here, just like your shoes" Takumi exclaimed to Souma.

Souma narrowed his eyes at the blonde, Megumi was nervous when she saw the sparkles in both Souma and Takumi eyes.

"I know the training camp could be intense but the fighting is not allowed in here" Megumi said, trying to calm the boys.

"I'm glad that finally I could crush you. I'm glad, Yukihira Souma!" Takumi said.

"So that's why, thank goodness, congratulations, I understand. So remove your legs from mine!" Souma replied.

Takumi stopped stepping on Souma's foot. "Let's have a match, Yukihira. Right here, right now" Yukihira declared to Souma, then he approached Hinako Inui.

"Excuse me, Inui-Chef. I want to ask for your help to judge the better dish between Yukihira Souma and Me." Takumi asked Hinako. Hinako, who was busy eating her snack, looked over to the blonde and answered casually.

"And why would I do that? It's not part of my job so I won't do it" She said innocently.

"Eh? What? That's right…" Takumi said with sad expression.

"Hahaha! So what are we gonna do now?" Souma asked mischievously while Megumi and Takumi's partner laughed at the blonde.

"You're so funny, Nii-chan" The boy who was presumed as Takumi's partner said.

"Wait! Nii-chan?" Souma said shockingly.

"They're siblings?!" Megumi asked.

"Yes, this is my twin brother, Isami Aldini"

Isami is obese and stands taller than his older twin brother, Takumi Aldini. His brownish-black hair is combed backwards and is very spiky. Some of his notable facial features include his eyes which are cartoonish small and his teeth have been shown to resemble great white teeth whenever he smiles or laughs. Unlike his fiery brother, Isami is calm, peaceful, and even jovial around others. However, he does share the same fiery passion when it comes to cooking. Both he and Takumi specialized in Italian's Cuisine, their family owned a restaurant in Florence, Italy.

"Anyway, I'm not gonna lose to you. I'm gonna make a dish better than you. Do you understand me, Yukihira!" Takumi said while he was being dragged away by Isami.

"Come on, Tadokoro. We have to go too" With that Yukihira Souma and Tadokoro Megumi left to find their ingredients.

A few moments later, Souma and Tadokoro finished gathering their ingredients. When they want to enter the building, they met Isami and Takumi.

"You guys use fish too? Just because the theme is Japanese Cuisine don't you think that your mind is to narrow" Takumi said loudly so the other students can hear it.

Takumi and Isami revealed their ingredients, which is; duck, chicken, and rabbit from the container. Many students were shocked that they were able to get ingredients other than fish.

"Excuse me, Yukihira" Takumi walked to his station and tapped Souma shoulder. 'That hand.' Souma thought.

"Isami"

"Okay, Nii-Chan" Isami butchered the duck precisely with speed, strength, and accuracy. It's truly a splendid work by Isami. Megumi was left impressed by Isami's skills, despite the power behind the cuts, it didn't damage the meat.

"What's wrong" Isami asked Megumi who was staring at him.

Megumi who was lost in her thoughts was startled by Isami's sudden question. Megumi then waved her hand and shook her head. "There's nothing wrong. It's just your skills are amazing" Megumi praised the younger twin.

"Oh thank you. But my brother could do it three times faster than me"

Before Megumi could respond, Souma already said something.

"Well I figure it out already. His hands (Points at Takumi), is the hands that already served customers." Souma said while observing Takumi's cooking, and he's impressed by Takumi's talent; his precision is something to be praised for.

"Let me Introduce myself again-". Takumi said after putting the pan in the oven,

"My name is Takumi Aldini and this is my twin brother Isami Aldini. We're both came from Trattoria Aldini in Italy"

"Trattoria?" Megumi asked the blonde.

"Yes, Trattoria meant family restaurant in Italian" with that said, Souma's eyes went wide after he realized what Takumi meant.

"Yes, Yukihira. You and I are the same. I'm also a chef that came from a Family Restaurant and I also remember what you said in the opening ceremony. I admit that you're a talented chef, but as a fellow chef, I won't lose to you. Aldini or Yukihira, let's see who's the better one" Takumi said.

"Interesting! Be prepared, Takumi" Souma exclaimed to Takumi while Megumi has shock expression on her face, she was very nervous when she saw that the blonde and the redhead are so enthusiastic about this.

Many gasps were heard when Takumi pulled out his Mezzaluna. (Author's note: A Mezzaluna is a knife consisting of one or more curved blades with a handle on each end, which is rocked back and forth chopping the ingredients below with each movement).

"What is that?!" A student asked. Hinako Inui immediately has her interest turned on to the Aldini Twins when they brought out their Mezzaluna.

"Tritare!" Takumi shouted while chopping the ingredients in incredible speed with his Mezzaluna. The people in the room was left impressed by the blonde's mastery in the double handle knife. Isami informed Takumi that the duck is ready, hearing that Takumi told that he will take care of the salsa and gave the Mezzaluna to the younger twin. Then Isami used the Mezzaluna impressively too like his brother but he looked more aggressive when he used the Mezzaluna.

The Aldini twins presented the dish to Hinako first. The students were amazed by the speed of the duo even Hinako was impressed.

"You two are the first… Well, what's the dish?" Hinako said,

"Roasted duck with green sauce. Buon Appetito"

"Ittadakimasu" Hinako took a bite and she was impressed by the quality shown by the Aldini Twins. The tenderness of the roasted duck was fascinating, the aroma and the flavor is enhanced by the sauce with astringe shrinking agent.

Noticing the students glares on him, Takumi said something before they could.

"Before you could say something, the sauce is a Japanese Salsa Verde. Instead anchovies I use uruka, fresh water fish organs. Uruka usually prepared about a week earlier but I improvised it by boiling the organs in sake and adding Mirin, Soy, and salt while adjusting the flavor. And instead of using parsley, I used perilla leaves and green onions to produce green color and astringent shrinking agent. In japan, garlic was not often used so I used pepper and make the dish more Japanese." Takumi explained to the whole class and to say that the students were impressed are an understatement.

"You introduced the essence of Japanese cuisine to the duck and the salsa verde sauce. And made a wonderful dish at the process. Takumi Aldini and Isami Aldini, you both pass my class" Hinako Inui congratulate the twins.

While the twins take the spotlight, Megumi and Souma are deciding what they are going to make.

"You seemed haven't done anything right now? How could you win our duel if you haven't cook anything" Takumi asked Souma with a little arrogance on his voice.

"I see, you should've told me that you two are competing now. Alright! If I could taste a dish that was on par with the dish before, I will make an exception and decide the winning dish" Hinako said.

"You heard that, Yukihira?!" Takumi said.

"Alright! Let's do this" Souma exclaimed.

"Alright. The one who loses has to kneeled in front of the winner and say "I'm a loser" three times. If you risked your restaurant name, the consequences must be worth it… But Tadokoro Megumi doesn't need to kneel, you have a very cute hands, I should eat it" Hinako said. While Takumi and Yukihira were dumbfounded by the consequences, Megumi were nervously fidgeting her body when Hinako touched her hand.

'She's scary' was the thing that's on Megumi's mind.

"Anyway Yukihira, I challenged you to make a dish better than mine" Takumi challenged Souma with a smirk showing on his face.

Souma seemed to be thinking hard what to make. The only terms were to make a Japanese dish with the any available ingredients in the compound. 'That's it' Souma finally knew what to make. He wrote the ingredients on a note and gave it to Megumi. Megumi immediately ran out from the building in order to find the ingredients needed. After that, Souma walked to Hinako Inui and said.

"Inui-senpai, we can use any ingredients available in here right?" Souma asked, confirming his thoughts.

"Yes, as long as it's within the area of the compound" Hinako answered the redhead.

"Okay, then our ingredients will be this!" Souma grabbed Hinako's rice cracker snacks.

"that's my snack" Hinako cried, trying to save her snack from Souma.

Then Souma went outside to find the other ingredients needed for his and Megumi's dish. After a few moments, Souma and Megumi returned while carrying ingredients. When they both went outside, many students remaining tried to impress Hinako but failed, they were allowed to try again before the time is up. Souma and Megumi prepared the dish with incredible speed. Not taking a long time, the duo presented the dish to Hinako Inui.

The dish itself contained with Fried fish with fried vegetables and Japanese mayonnaise.

"Ah! My rice crackers become into an amazing deep fried dish…. Ittadakimasu!" Hinako said while biting the fish with a little Japanese mayonnaise on it. 'So crispy' the 80th generation alumni noted.

"The delicacy of the fish was felt and thanks to the rice crackers the layer has nice texture and flavor. And with the light side sauce made by Japanese Mayonnaise and Kinome plants. With adding the Kinome plants to the eggs and adding salt and pepper, it creates a fresh taste and covers the oil from the fish. The cream texture between the crispiness of the layer stimulates the appetite. The side dish made from Mountain vegetable sat well with the dish, the dish was visually stunning as well" Hinako complimented Souma and Megumi.

'Aldini has an open mind and do not exclude the duck as a cooking ingredient. And on the other side, Yukihira Souma used his unique creativity, and made a dish outside the box. Even though they're tied with the time and the setting of the place, they used every chances and creates dish that represent theirselves.' Hinako thought while looking at Takumi and Yukihira bickering,

"Yukihira Souma and Tadokoro Megumi, you both passed" Hinako announced. Hearing that Megumi and Souma smiled happily and gratefully.

"Alright! The time is up" Hinako announced to the whole class. Many let out a sigh in relief, where the others are not so lucky.

"Inui-chef, please tell who's the winner" Takumi asked Hinako.

"Alright, the winner is the one who used different ideas, and create a spectacular dish-" Hinako said, Both Souma and Yukihira are expecting the answer but the ringing phone coming from Hinako's pocket interrupted them.

Hinako picked up her phone and the voice came from the phone is none other than screaming Shinomiya Kojiro.

"What are you doing, Hinako! Your group supposed to be back already. Anyway, come here quickly, baka!" Shinomiya yelled from the phone.

"So-sorry, Shinomiya-senpai" Hinako stuttered before she continues.

"Everyone, we will return to the hotel right now" She said to the students.

"Wait, What about the results? / Who's the winner?" Souma and Takumi asked together. Turning her head, Hinako realized that she hasn't told them who's the winner.

"Oh yes, the result will I reconsider" She said while running towards the bus.

Takumi and Souma just stood there and the same thing was running through their minds, that Hinako Inui was running from making a decision.

"I don't accept this! Listen to me Yukihira, one day this will be decided" Takumi screamed to Souma.

"Sure, but how?" Souma asked the blonde.

"One day, I'll challenge you to a Shokugeki. Don't run from it, you have to accept it and then I'll crush you. Until then, Yukihira Souma" Takumi said seriously.

5 Minutes later, In the bus.

"Hey you, I guess we meet again!" Souma teased Takumi. Takumi and Souma was seated next to each other and Takumi was so embarrassed.

"Shut up! Don't talk to me!" Takumi said while covering his embarrassed face.

"What's wrong? I thought that you want to crush me?" Souma teased Takumi again. Megumi was laughing softly behind them while Isami tried his best to hold his laughter.

"I told you already right! Don't talk to me!" Takumi said. After the teasing end, Takumi thought something.

'My knowledge and skills that I gained from years of experience, I already used it on making that dish and I was sure that I was able to win. While the decision hasn't been made, why do I felt that I lost? This is not the end! One day I will crush him' Unknown to him that the person next to him was thinking about the same.

'Takumi Aldini from Trattoria? There's someone in my age with this level of skills. If I have stay in Yukihira, I won't know anything about him' Yukihira thought.

Back to Rin

"Why are you following me?!" The voice belongs to Nakiri Erina.

After the duo spend time together in their room, both of them went to their next class. Right now, Rin are on his way to his next class. Unfortunately, his class are the same as the blonde in front of him, who thought that he's following her. To clear the misunderstanding, Rin said.

"Listen here, Nakiri-san. I'm not following you, my next class is Tohsaka Hatake's class." Rin said while gritted his teeth. Don't get him wrong, sometimes Nakiri Erina are infuriating. She could be nice then the next second she became the ice queen.

"Oh" is the only reply came from the blonde's mouth. They finally arrived at the class together, Rin looked around the class and he was relieved when he saw Ryoko Sakaki there. He walked to Ryoko and greeted her.

"Yo, Ryoko. I guess, we're on the same class" Rin greeted her.

Ryoko who was not paying attention before, turned her head and blushed when she saw Rin smiling at her.

"Rin-kun" She replied.

Both of them talked with each other about the hell's camp and the other residents, when a voice came from the front interrupted them.

"Okay Students, listen up! You will be in teams of two, so choose your partner now. You will be making me a dish that could impress me, if you can't do it then you fail immediately. You only have one chance to work it out. The theme is main course, meaning that you could make any main course from around the world. You have two hours, starting right now!" Tohsaka Hatake said.

Tohsaka Hatake is the 81st generation alumni of Tōtsuki, he is the owner and head chef of Heaven's touch restaurant, he specialized in worldwide cuisine. He has greyish spiky hair and crimson pair of eyes, he has good personality but he could be strict and proper when needed.

With that said, the class erupted to chaos, many students ran to the pantry to gather the ingredients needed for their dish. Rin and Ryoko are discussing what to make, since both of them already together, they decided to be partners for this class.

"Are you familiar with Coq Au Vin, Ryoko-san?" Rin asked Ryoko.

(Author's note: A Coq Au Vin is a classic French stew in which chicken is braise slowly in red wine and a little brandy to yield a supremely rich sauce filled with tender meat, crisp bits of bacon, mushrooms and burnished pearl onions)

"Yes, I remembered it. if I remembered correctly French cuisine is your forte right?" Ryoko answered then she asked him. Rin hearing the question just nods at her while making his way to the pantry to gather the ingredients.

Nakiri Erina was lost on her thought when she felt someone tapped her shoulder, she was startled when she saw Hisako Arato behind her.

"Hi-Hisako, what are you doing here?" she asked her pink haired friend. Hisako was amused by her best friend behavior recently. She was acting weird whenever Kobayashi Rin was there, just a moment before, Hisako asked Erina what are they planning to cook but Erina's focus was on the black haired boy who was talking to Ryoko Sakaki.

"What are we making?" Hisako asked again.

"We'll be making a Coq Au Vin" Erina answered her friend while her eyes were still on Rin. After she saw Rin left to the pantry, she left with Hisako to gather the ingredients.

For some time, the students are preparing their dishes. Some team already passed Hatake's class while some was unlucky. Hatake caught his interest on someone particular, namely Kobayashi Rin. Hatake was amazed by his speed and precision, it was spot on.

'His fast. He's accuracy are precise and he didn't waste a second doing nothing. He looked like he could work on a professional kitchen or has he already did it? While his partner is good but he was outstanding. But finally it depends on the taste and I shall see what he was truly capable of' Hatake thought to himself.

Rin and Ryoko were satisfied by their dish; it looked good, tasted good, and they finish earlier than most of the students. Currently, they were making their way to the judging table to present their dish.

"This is a Coq Au Vin, Hatake-chef" Rin presented the dish to the grey haired chef. From closer view, the dish looked outstanding and the aroma was breath taking.

Hatake took a bite and he immediately found himself in food nirvana. The dish was truly spectacular and delicious. Without taking a second thought, he immediately passed the two.

"Thank you, Chef" Ryoko and Rin thanked Hatake before they left the class room.

'I should offer him a job when their last day here' Hatake took one last look to the black haired boy, he was truly interested in Rin. After some moment, Nakiri Erina and Hisako Arato presented their dish to Hatake. Hatake was now curious, who's dish was better, Nakiri Erina or Kobayashi Rin's dish?

He took a bite and he arrived at food nirvana again, while both of their dish was spectacular, there was some flaws in both of their dishes. The flaws in Nakiri Erina's dish was the thing that executed perfectly in the boy's dish and the other way around. Then Hatake thought something extra ordinary.

'What if they were paired up?! I wish I could taste their dish, the one who could able to taste a dish that was created by the two of them were so lucky' he thought. Somewhere in Totsuki Academy, Hirutsuka Takeda sneezed.

Hatake passed Erina and Hisako after he tasted their dish. Looking at the time is over, he announced to the students that the test is over. Many students sighed in defeat since they weren't able to impress the gray haired chef while the rest sighed in relief.

After that they went out to the main hall to finished their last task for today. Arriving at the main hall, they were greeted by rugby players, personal trainer, and gymnast. Apparently they were told to make fifty set meal with Hitoshi Sekimori oversee them. Nakiri finished the task quickly, not so long after Souma finished too. Rin chose to relax a bit and take his time to complete the task, with 10 minutes remaining he was able to make fifty sets.

At night, the residents of Polar Star Dormitory gathered in Marui's room to relax but not so long after that, Yuki, Daogi, Shoji, and Marui fell asleep only remaining Ryoko, Souma, Megumi, Ibusaki, and Rin awake. The five of them talked about today tasks and when they thought it's already late, they went to their own perspective rooms not before waking up the others.

Rin was trying to sleep when he felt his phone vibrate, checking the phone to see what's wrong, he smiled when he saw the text displayed on the phone.

"I'll be in Tokyo next month"
