Once they were off the plane they made their way to the baggage claim and collected their bags and made their way out of the airport where Regina had a car rented and waiting for them along with a driver.
They climbed into the car and after putting their bags in the trunk. The driver politely introduced himself as Mr.Stanton and he would be their personal chauffeur for the week.
"Do you wish to go straight to your hotel Mrs. Mills or would you like me to recommend a few restaurants?" Mr.Stanton asks
"It's Miss Mills, and just to our hotel please."
"I apologize, Ms. Mills I assumed she was your wife and he was your son based on what your son was calling the two of you while
Loading the car." Mr.Stanton explains in an apologetic tone.
"It's extremely complicated." Emma says to the man driving the car.
"No it's not, you are my birth mother, moms my adoptive mother. You weren't ready for me, so mom took care of me until you were, and now I have both my moms!" Henry explained excitedly. The look of confusion that crossed Mr. Stantons face conveyed that it was still complicated and he didn't understand at all. He pulled into the hotel parking lot and parked at the front entrance. He opened the back door for Regina and then headed inside to get a luggage cart for the small family.
Once he came back out side he helped load the luggage onto the cart and handed Regina and Emma each one of his cards.
"Call me if you need taken anywhere. This week I'm at your beck and call." He said to the women before getting into his car and pulling away.
Emma pushed the cart into the hotel behind Regina and Henry. Emma sits down in the lobby with Henry while they wait for Regina to check in. Ten minutes later Regina walks over to the two of them.
"Ready to head up?" Regina asks, they both hum in agreement as they stand up and follow Regina to the elevator.
"We are on the top floor in a split suit. With a connecting door." Regina explains as she presses the button for the 7th floor.
"You really expected me to say yes, didn't you?" Emma asks, knowing now that Henry will probably get the separate suit to himself so he has privacy.
" I knew you'd agree eventually because he'd pout and cry until you said yes. So I booked it as a precaution" Regina answers as the door opens
"Come on moms' let's go!" Henry says excitedly waiting outside the elevator. Regina steps off and starts to lead Henry down the hall with Emma pushing the cart behind them. Once they reach the end of the hall Regina puts the key card in the door and lets them into the double suit that has a kitchen attached. Henry runs into the room excitedly and opens the door to the second room that he has decided would be his for the week.
The room was well made and clean which was exactly what Emma expected from a place Regina picked out but she had to do her own hotel check.
"Henry don't get on the beds yet! Let me check them please." Emma says as she pushes the cart into the room leaving it in the kitchen. Regina looks at Emma with a quirked eyebrow.
" I wanna check for bedbugs or other questionable things. Nice hotel room or not. Gotta check for regular bugs and electric ones too." Emma explains as she walks over to the bed in the middle of the large room and lifts the sheets and covers. Henry walks over to his mom who is standing near the kitchen to watch.
Regina just stares in amazement at her girlfriend while she checks each bed then moves on to checking the vents, tv, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, mirrors ,behind the paintings, in the lights, and checks the outlets.
"All clear. No bed bugs or creepy weird cameras." Emma says dusting her hands off on her jeans.
"Ma, why did you just do that?" Henry asks not fully understanding.
"Help me unload the cart and then I'll explain." Emma tells her son who eagerly helps his mom unload the cart. Once the cart is unloaded Emma and Henry take it back down to the lobby.
Once they are back in the hotel room Emma sits Henry down at the table in the small kitchen.
"Okay when you stay anywhere new you check for things. Always check for bed bugs because you don't want to bring them home with you. And always check for equipment that's not meant to be in a hotel. There are lots of creepy people on this planet and sometimes they put things in rooms to watch people." Emma explains.
"Why would people want to watch us?" Henry asks.
"Well two women traveling together could imply a few things. Like the birds and the bees..." Emma starts but Henry cuts her off.
"Ew! Gross! That is creepy! Okay nope I'm done! I don't wanna know!" Henry says to his mom as he pushes away from the table and gets up. The boy runs away so fast Emma chuckles.
"Are you traumatizing our son already Emma? Regina asks as she walks back into the main suit from the bathroom.
"No..." Emma answers as she stands up to greet Regina.
"Sure, but thank you for checking to see if this was a safe place for us to stay." Regina tells Emma.
"Always. But I can tell this week is already not going according to plan." Emma says with a chuckle.
"What do you mean dear?" Regina asks with a head tilt that Emma finds absolutely adorable.
"Well I'm sure the original plan was for me to sleep in the connecting suit, but it seems like our son has already called dibs on that. So it seems like we will be sharing a room. Which I know for sure wasn't on the original agenda." Emma says with a sly tone in her voice, making Regina feel things she hasn't in a long time.
"Originally, you were going to begrudgingly agree for our son, now you are my girlfriend and we better be sharing a bed for the week." Regina says sternly.
Henry comes back into the room slightly interrupting his moms' conversation but not much.
"Mom, Ma, what are we eating?" Henry asked running his tummy to indicate he was hungry.
"Well my little price, the fridge should be fully stocked. So if your hungry you can grab a snack while we decide what to make for Dinner."
"You had the fridge stocked?" Emma asks as Henry excitedly runs over to the fridge and opens it. He pulls out an apple and a cheese stick and then washes the apple off at the sink before grabbing some paper towel and sitting down at the table.
"Thanks mom!" Henry says before taking a bite out of his Apple.
"Your welcome sweetie, and I didn't want to eat take out all week." Regina says to Henry and the explains to Emma.
"Fair, but we could probably do pizza tonight because I'm exhausted from flying, and I'm sure you are too." Emma mentions as she wraps her arms around Regina's waist and pouts slightly.
"Yeah, mom is your vacation too!! You should definitely relax!" Henry says after he finished eating his apple. He then gets up and walks over to his moms and looks up at Regina with puppy eyes as if to beg for pizza.
Regina is slowly feeling ganged up on because her sons big brown eyes are enough to make her cave and then she looks at Emma who has the most stunning blue eyes with just a hint of green in them and she feels her resolve crack. Emma can see Regina start to falter so she starts to pout as well. Which just shatters Regina's resolve.
"Fine, you guys can order pizza." Regina says with a defeated sigh. Henry literally jumps for joy. Emm gives Regina a kiss on the cheek and walks over to her purse that's on her head to grab her phone. She looks at it and realizes she has 2 missed calls and 4 text messages.
"Shit!" Emma says as she unlocks her phone, realizing she forgot to tell David they arrived.
"What's wrong?" Regina asks as she walks over to Emma. Emma opens her phone to see she's got one missed call from Snow and one missed call from David.
"Dad called me and so did Snow." Emma says as she opens the message app on her phone to read the messages.
David-4:30 p.m. did your flight go okay?
David- 5:00 p.m. Emma are you all safe?
David- 5:15 p.m. answer me when you can sweetie. Be safe.
Snow- 5:45 p.m. David is worried for you all. Please answer him.
Emma sighs and let's Regina read the messages.
"I better call him. Before he absolutely loses it. Let's try to keep him level headed at least." Emma says as she dials her fathers number.
"Emma! Are you okay? How's Henry? Is Regina alright as well?" David fires off in quick succession.
"Dad I'm fine. We just got back to the hotel about an hour ago, we spent the day in lectures while Henry waited. Regina is well. Henry is relaxing. I was just about to order us pizza."
"I'm glad to hear you all made it safe. Sorry I blew up your phone. Keep me updated and try to have a good time during those boring seminars." David says to Emma.
"I will. Have a good night." Emma says to her father feeling slightly guilty for lying to him about the convention but not enough to tell him the truth. Regina had left and was talking to Henry about what kind of pizza to order.
"Pepperoni mom,It's the best!" Henry said excitedly.
"Yes Henry but it's very plain." Regina reply's to her son.
"How about pepperoni, ham, green peppers and red onions? So you get some veggies in along with extra protein. And it won't be so plain." Emma suggests. As she sits down on the bed with her two favorite people.
"Fine, if I have to eat veggies at least it's on pizza." Henry admits defeat. He then gets up off the bed and walks over to a binder sitting on the desk he found earlier while exploring the rooms.
"Here's a flyer for all the places that deliver to the hotel." He explains handing it to his mom, Regina takes the flyer as Emma pulls out her phone to look at the recommended restaurants and their reviews.
They all decide together on a pizza place and Emma places the order and gives them the floor and room number to have the pizza delivered to.
"Can we watch tv and cuddle while we wait for the pizza moms?" Henry asks, which Emma and Regina agree right away. Emma settles against the headboard first and Regina nestles herself next to Emma and Henry climbs between them. Henry grabs the remote and turns on a movie for them to watch.
45 minutes later there is a knock on the door and Regina untangled herself from her two loves. She grabs her wallet as she walks to the door and pays the man and gives him a tip as well before taking the pizza and thanking him.
"Dinners hear, come eat at the table please." Regina asks gaining a groan from Henry who was comfortable on the bed. Emma gently pushes her son off of her and stands up.
They sit down at the table and eat the pizza in relative silence just enjoying each others company. Henry is overwhelmingly happy he has both his moms together in the same place and just enjoys them together.
"So what's the plan for tomorrow?" Henry after he finished his first slice of pizza.
"Well we can go to the aquarium or we can go on a few tours, or just explore the city." The brunette explained to her son, who seemed excited.
"But we should probably try and sleep, so we can get up and do some fun things in the morning." Emma tells her son as she stands up and collects the plates to wash at the sink.
After dinner Henry retires to his suit to attempt to sleep and Emma and Regina stand across from each other internally debating on weather or not they should sleep together.
"Just go put your Pjs on and get into bed Emma." Regina said as she walked over to her suit case and pulls out a set of red silk sleep wear.
"Fine." Emma said in an exasperated, she's frustrated for a few reasons. But she comply with Regina's request and grabs her pjs, tooth brush and contact stuff out of her bag and heads into the bathroom.
She gets ready and leaves the light on so Regina can go in after her. She climbs into the queen sized bed and covers up, resting her head on the pillow after taking her glasses off. Shortly after Regina joins her. Emma is facing the outside of the bed so Regina scoots closer to her and wraps her arms around her. Making Emma the little spoon.
"Rest well dear." Regina says placing a soft kiss on Emma's shoulder.
"You as well darling." Emma says already starting to drift off.
