Chapter 8 She-Venom Attack

The Finical District Saturday, April 25th, 2020 11:00 am

Peter sighed in contentment.

Mr. Stark really came through for him. The moving in and out happened immediately. It was a blur, even buying a new set of clothes for Cindy.

Tony was there to greet them briefly and to give Peter the keys to the house. He was surprised to find Teresa with him yet did not push the notion that they knew each other even if it was brief.

All that mattered was that he was not in the streets. Even though this would be temporary housing for the time being it was one thing he had less to worry about. He looked back to the Asian girl, who was reading a comic book; something about an alien from the planet Krypton who crashed landed on Earth.

His mind went to the money Felicia gave him a few days ago. It was time to buy some merchandise. He had the finances; now it was time to use it!

"Cindy."

"Yeah?" She looked up from her comic.

"We're going shopping."

"Alright!" She closed the comic book with joy in her eyes. "I want to gain the full experience of this shopping thing!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Before she got past Peter, he grabbed her arm. "Hold on there, little lady! This is not going to be an ordinary shopping spree. This is for your costume design. I need measurements from you."

"It's not even October." Both turned to see Teresa in her pajamas, with a towel around her neck. "Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear the conversation. Nonetheless why do you even need a costume anyway?"

"Um…"

"Comic-Con." Cindy said. "Comic-Con fills up very quickly, and finding the right costume is going to take a little while, so it's better to start early than start late."

Teresa hummed. "I've never been to this Comic-Con. Is it fun?"

Cindy's facial expression was one of disbelief. She quickly glomped Teresa. "You've never been to Comic-Con? That is absurd! Anyone whose everyone has been to that place! This is … is … it's outrageous!"

Cindy turned to Peter while the former was trying to get out of her grip; she was not the one for hugs. "We go shopping with your sister, now!" Cindy said frantically.

"Okay, first of all, there is no concrete evidence that says she is my sister!" Peter pointed out. "So stop calling her that until I get solid proof –"

"You want proof, Peter?!" The woman snapped. "Fine! There is a testing site in Queens. Let me get dressed and we will go!"

The girl stomped away, muttering under her breath. Peter watched as she left the room. His attention focused back on the Asian girl. Her displeasure was noted on her face. The young man sighed.

"You're going to lecture me now?" he asked bitterly.

"No," she said. "I won't. Look, I know family is a very touchy subject for you. Despite that do you not think … I do not know … give her a chance? Just be happy, Peter."

Ruffling his hair, Peter sat on the sofa, motioning to Cindy to sit next to him. "Look, I've been an only child nearly all my life. I could only dream of what it would be like to have siblings. It was unfortunate but Uncle Ben and Aunt May could not have children of their own, for the reason Aunt May was sterile even at a young age. Which is why I do not have any cousins. Sure, they talked about me having a younger sibling, because my parents told them, which in turn they told me. They wanted me to have a playmate. Then after twenty something years, this random girl comes out of nowhere claiming to be my sister without documentation or proof, just a photograph of my parents, and I'm supposed to believe that?"

Cindy twirled her hair. She saw his point. "Well she did say that she was adopted, so anything is possible."

Peter scoffed. "Okay, sure. Maybe she was adopted, yet why didn't her family come looking for her real parents? There are too many questions left unanswered, Cindy."

The girl really felt for him. He looked down dejectedly. She cuddled with him, wrapping her arms around him while he put his around her. "I lost too much. The old Parker luck just doesn't allow me to be happy long term. Everyone I love dies or leaves, Cindy."

"You're afraid." It was not a question, and Peter said nothing. "You're afraid that if you open yourself up again that something bad might happen again."

Again, Peter was quiet.

Cindy frowned, untangled herself, and then proceeded to get inside his personal space, sitting on top of his lap, facing him to wrap her arms around his neck. Peter was now red as a tomato, with her peppermint breath tickling his nose.

"We need to figure out this relationship. What exactly are we?" she asked.

"We are merely acquittances who like to make-out," Peter responded. "A lot."

"I want to be more than just acquittances, Peter. I want to be that special someone you can depend on. I want to know you better if you allow me in," She said seductively. "Peter, I know we just met, but I can feel we were made for each other. We were both bitten by the same spider. I – I want you."

Without knowing it, the pheromones were taking effect. Venom was now alarmed. It watched as Peter hungrily claimed her lips yet again.

"Ehh … here we go again."

Peter's hands found her rear-end. He gave her a small squeeze, causing her to give a small moan. They broke apart.

"I promise I won't leave you."

"Don't make promises that you don't know if you are going to keep," Peter said in between kisses.

However, the moment was interrupted when Teresa came back into the room.

"Well, is not this lovely. A show! Stop sucking faces and let us go!"

Cindy pouted angrily. "You just had to interrupt, didn't you?"

Teresa snorted, not saying another word as she left the penthouse from the hundredth floor they were on. Cindy put her head in the crook of Peter's neck. "Hmm … what a mood killer."

"Well, at least we didn't take it far."

"Peteerrr …" she whined.

"Cindy, if you want to make this work, we need to be more than just physical. Being with another person is also about being with them both mentally and emotionally. Picking one up when the other falls, trying to be supportive in every situation. Now it will not be all roses and unicorns, where you wish everything is going to be working out all the time. For now, take it slow, and let's see where this lead, okay?"

She made a pouty face.

She looked so darn cute when she makes that face, Peter thought. He smiled, tapping her on the nose. "Take it easy, my silly little girlfriend."

"Yeah, yeah, lovely, dovely," Venom said in his head. "Houston, we have a problem."

"Not another Eddie attack, I hope. What's going on?" Peter asked as he and Cindy walked hand in hand out of the apartment, with the latter resting her head on his shoulder.

'Two things: number one, what are you going to do about the Watson girl? You haven't done anything in searching for clues, you know."

That was right. Given with everything going on, he had forgotten about his ex-fiancé predicament. He closed his eyes, briefly thinking. Eddie covered his tracks well, thus it would be nigh-impossible to try to get a clue … wait! What about his Symbiote-sense!

'We are not calling it Symbiote-sense! Think of a better name!'

Peter rolled his eyes. 'Would it be possible to sense his location?'

"Hmm, it's a possibility, however, there is another problem. You are not fully in tune with me. You are still resisting me to use that power at will."

"I used it the first time around, against Venom."

'That's because you had adrenaline pumping into your veins, allowing it to work! Had you been in rest it would not have worked. The first time was a fluke. I could not guarantee your safety and Eddie would have ripped us apart. Also, even if you use it, Eddie will pick up on it. His bond is stronger than ours. He will likely move the girl to another location.'

'Well, I better start practicing then. What is the other problem?'

"You are about to head over to a clinic. What do you think would happen if they put two and two together?"

"Oh snap!"

Cindy tugged at his hand. Peter took a quick glance at her. She gestured at what had been happening since Peter was silent.

The young hero pointed to his head. She nodded in response. The girl understood he was talking to Venom; she was still bothered by the fact – hold it!

"Peter, a few days ago, who was the creature you fought?"

The elevator continued to descend. They passed the forty-eighth floor. "Remember when I told you how I found the suit on a space shuttle?"

"Yeah."

"Well, there is more to that story." He paused, allowing her to process the information. "You see back then. I enjoyed the suit for the benefits that it gives me, even if it was for a short time. What I did not know at the time of finding it, the suit was a living sentient creature. That important piece of information did not come to the light until I took it to Dr. Connors for examination. When I learned that it was a symbiote that wanted to bond with me, I thought I needed it. Mind you, I was a wanted man with a bounty of over $1,000,000."

Cindy whistled. She heard it on the news three years ago. "How does this relate to that thing?"

"I'm getting to that," he said. "To make a long story short, the son of the Editor in Chief of the Daily Bugle was kidnapped by Shocker and Alistair Smythe. It was at that time JJ retracted his bounty; I guess that he found out Eddie was lying to him when he said I robbed the shuttle. Anyway, in exchange for the safety of the space pilot, they wanted the Promethium X, a highly explosive mineral, so when the trade was done, we were doubled crossed. I fought Shocker and nearly killed him, by hanging him by his gauntlets on the stone railing of a church with him back towards the ground."

Cindy gasped.

"I came to my senses after and remembered Uncle Ben's words: with great power, there must also come great responsibility. Yet the suit had other plans. It knocked Shocker out of my grip. It was a last-minute save but old Herman was still with us. I tried getting it off me after that horror-fest, but it put up quite a fight. Want to know what was funny or rather depressing?"

He paused for dramatic effect. But Cindy slapped him on the arm. "Get on with it!"

"I had Eddie webbed beneath the bell, so when the suit was finally removed it bonded to Eddie. Ever since then, they have been calling themselves Venom. He's like a darker counterpart of me, packing serious resentment."

"Hatred is more appropriate," the symbiote said.

"Then if that suit caused you so much grief, why do you have it back?" Cindy was tense, Peter could see it.

"This piece of Venom was not with the original suit, thus unlike last time it doesn't hold that much of a grudge. Plus we've come to an understanding." He paused, narrowing his eyes. "An uneasy agreement, yet this time it's going to be different … it is different."

Cindy looked at his clothing, then to Peter's determined face. "I hope for your sake and the sake of others that you have that creature under control."

"Time will only tell."

They arrived at the bottom floor where Teresa was waiting with her arms crossed. She took note that the two had become closer, since they were holding hands. She was about to say something when Peter cut her off.

"Look, I would like to apologize for my comment." Teresa's eyes drop a little, yet she listened. "It's not fair that you want to know me and I'm just being difficult. On that note, you also must understand that being alone for a long time, I am not used to this. We do not have to go to the clinic for a DNA test today. We can go some other time. Give me time to get used to the idea, so why don't we start over…" Clearing his throat, he extended a hand. "Hi, my name is Peter Parker, and I was raised by Benjamin and May Parker."

She nodded, smiling, and takes his olive branch. "Alright, my name is Teresa Madden Parker. I am adopted, and I could be your little sister." She dove in, hugging him. It was an awkward hug, yet he slowly wrapped his arms around her, tightening his grip.

Cindy smiled. She hoped she could find her brother. She wondered if her family was still around somewhere.

'I probably owe this girl a lot of piggyback rides and birthday cards if it is true that she's related to me,' Peter thoughts.

"Now would be a good time to, you know, get information …" Venom left that hanging.

Peter didn't know how, but he willed a small piece of Venom to attach to the young girl, though Teresa wanted to let go. "Okay, enough with the hugs. I not much of a hugger."

"Wait, let me savor this moment a little while longer." Finally, a small piece the size of a penny crawled its way towards her neck, disappearing as she scratched the skin. With his objective completed, he let her go.

"Alright ladies, to the mall!" He grabbed his new girlfriend's hand, while wrapping his left arm around Teresa's shoulders.

"Hey, Peter."

"Yeah, Cindy?"

"Is there anyone else you dated besides me or MJ?"

That got Teresa's attention.

Peter debated whether or not it would be wise to mention his other girlfriends, but as Aunt May had said to him honesty was the best way to go. "Well, you are my fifth girlfriend, to be honest, and yes I did date several. My first girlfriend's name was Gwendolyn Stacey or Gwen for short. We dated during high school going into our college years in Empire. I remember she was a well-balanced, smart young woman. She was somewhat self-conscious, at times, and could feel snubbed easily. However, she is not one to hold a grudge; she forgives and forgets as quickly and easily as she may feel slighted. Unfortunately, she met a very tragic end with a madman."

"That's it? That's all you gonna say about that relationship?" Teresa asked. "Well?"

Peter had a murderous glare, staring at Teresa, telling her 'don't push it'. She got the hint that apparently that was one subject he would not touch upon.

Peter took a breath. "My second girlfriend was Felicia Hardy."

'Interesting,' the young woman thought. 'My brother sure knows how to pick them. The notorious Black Cat: she follows in her father's footsteps. Last we heard she was in England.'

"Unfortunately, that relationship was … complicated. We were constantly on and off and to be honest, she didn't take a shine to me. I loved all of her, but I guess it was never meant to be, though I did run into her not long ago for the first time in four years. I feel like she had mellowed out. And get this, she has a daughter," Peter said, with a slight chuckle at the last part.

Teresa's eyes widened. Felicia Hardy plus a daughter doesn't compute! When did that happen? It looked like they were going to have to update her profile later.

Cindy was getting a bit annoyed. "So can you describe this Felicia? How she is like?"

"Hmm, I detect some jealously from this one," Venom said in his mind.

"Felicia is perhaps what everyone expects from a woman that has defined herself as a socialite. At least, a socialite that proves she's not lacking in the intelligence department. She's smart, has a good sense of humor, and a perpetual flirt." Peter had this shine in his eyes, something the girls noticed. "Surprisingly, she is more than willing to socialize outside of her social circle, but does other things like attends the right functions, charities, and the like as one might expect of someone of her station. Now, while all that really is Felicia, it also acts as a mask to disguise the fact that she is a thrill-seeker deep down inside."

"A thrill-seeker?"

"Hm-hmm, the placid existence of everyday life is just not enough for her. I soon found out as she told me that committing crimes gives her that thrill that she is otherwise missing in her life. It comes from the possibility of getting caught, from taking something that isn't hers and, lately, from the chase. Stealing is also her way of psychologically compensating for what was stolen from her once upon a time - her father."

"You seem very fond of this Felicia," Cindy said, with steel in her voice. "Do you happen to harbor feelings for her still?"

"I don't know. It's been four years since I last saw her, given that I just saw her again recently. Though like I said, civilian life wasn't her forte, plus having an unstable relationship isn't exactly the best," he said honestly. "We broke off after she left for Europe during the winter." He paused. "Then we head into Mary Jane. Please note that during the on and off with Felicia I started seeing her. MJ in personality is exuberant, carefree, and fun. However, I soon found out Mary Jane is a master of masking her pain. If you manage to pierce her sunny exterior, you'll discover a deeply troubled and good woman. Mary Jane's unhappy childhood has left her unsure of the existence of happy endings. I won't go into detail since that is up to her to explain. One time we got into an argument which led to our breakup, and we thought it better to stay as friends. Then I move to Angelica Jones, a sweet and caring girl, though that relationship only lasted for about year before she had to move back to Westchester where she was staying at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. If she would have stayed in New York I would still be with her to this day."

He sighed sadly. "Unfortunately, that break-up was due to her powers becoming a little unstable, thus prompting her to seek out renowned human-mutant pacifist Charles Xavier to help her with her special gift. She wanted me to come but my place was here in New York. It was a bittersweet moment, but we do stay in contact with each other from time to time. Last I heard she is doing fine."

Teresa was starting to see a pattern. "You know, Peter, you had all these wonderful women in your life. Why not just settle down?"

"I did try to settle down with Mary Jane after we reconciled. Turns she still had feelings for me, thus leading up to my marriage proposal to her." He sighed. "Like everything that was never meant to be."

"Why? You were about to get married!" Teresa was extremely confused about what could have caused the reconciliation between Peter and girlfriend number four to fall out of whack?

"I used to take pictures of Spider-Man, so imagine every time there was a supervillain attack, I would get in the middle of it and come nearly half dead which led to my recent breakup with my ex," Peter flatly stated. "So you see, Cindy, why I told you don't make a promise if don't know if you are going to keep it. So far my luck with women has been non-existent."

"Wait, don't tell me Cindy is going on that list of women in your life!"

"And what if she is?" challenged Peter.

Teresa did not consider herself a person who was an expert in relationships, but that didn't mean she liked the idea of a girl being on the rebound. "Aren't you moving a little too fast after your recent break up to have this girl right off the rebound?"

"Hey! I'm no one's rebound-girl, alright! Our relationship is complicated at most."

"Could have fooled me."

Cindy wanted to claw the other's eyes out, yet Peter was in the way to stop a catfight from happening. "Ladies, please! Let's just go to the mall and enjoy ourselves. I'm sure you girls are dying to shop!"

From an afar building, Eddie and Ashley watched as their prey continued to walk, with binoculars in hand. They didn't want to risk Parker sensing them, or else they would lose the element of surprise. Ashley then spoke. "Eddie."

"Yes?"

"Explain to me again why you have a hostage?"

Last night, when Ashley had come to Eddie's abandoned apartment complex, she was horrified that he had Mary Jane as a hostage or, as he called it, insurance. Not only that, there was a big yellow and red baseball-looking thing attached to the girl's chest. It was pulsing; a type of egg, she deduced, nonetheless the content she was not sure of and neither did she approve. Despite having the genetic memory of Peter's life, she found no need to endanger anyone else, but Eddie stated otherwise.

"I told you, Ashley, I'm going to use the woman he loves against him. The symbiote in that egg is our ticket for getting back at the arachnid!" Eddie went back to observing his prey. "We have to be careful with Parker. With the other he can detect either of us. First, we'll take care of his two lady friends, then we hurt him!"

Dr. Kafka looked at him sceptically. She didn't want to hurt anyone else that wasn't Peter Parker. To her it was a waste of time and unnecessary. Get them out of the way, sure, why not? She could do that.

"Let us show Parker who we are first, Eddie." Ashely's symbiote covered her forming her alter-ego, She-Venom. "It will be fun."

"Ashely, wait!" She was gone in a blink of an eye.

Eddie cursed; the Spider was not to be underestimated. He suited up, going after her. She had no idea how dangerous Parker could be, even with a piece of the suit.

She-Venom followed at a distance, web-swinging through the air, following the taxi. She perched herself on top of a building, watching as the taxi as it stopped in front of the Manhattan Mall. She licked her teeth; this should be fun. Finding an alleyway, she went in and out, changing her clothes to causal.

Ashley followed the trio.

Once again inside, she found them on the third floor. She followed them. The raven-haired girl turned around she quickly, sidestepping into a pillar. Peeking a second later, she could see Peter talking with her. She shook her head, then said something back with a smile. They continued forward, yet the redhead woman was suspiciously lingering a little before catching up to them.

"Hmm, seems like I'm going to have to take care of her first before I can get close to Parker." The doctor took note that there were too many people around to get close to turn into She-Venom. The element of surprise had to be on her side to get the drop on them.

They stopped at a sporting goods store first.

She went in, pretending to be shopping. Soon she was close enough to overhear the conversation. They were in the women's section.

"Okay, Cindy, let's see what you can fit into in sportswear for our training exercise. Pick your colors," Peter said. "Remember it needs to be flexible enough for you to do major acrobatics."

"How about the light grey and black mixed in with a bit of red?" Cindy replied.

"Alright, and I think I might as well grab a mask for the eyes –"

"No, I don't want a mask that goes over my head, to cover my hair. That'll be way too annoying. Why not have a mask that covers my nose and mouth?"

"What exactly are you training for?" Teresa asked. "The way you guys are speaking; it feels like you are doing something extreme."

"Well, I figure we buy some stuff for the winter. I mean, you've got to have clothing by then."

"We are at the beginning of Spring, Peter," Teresa pointed out. "Plus, winter is only seven months away. Plenty of time for stores to change the clothes for a new set. So?"

"Well, umm…"

Ashley chuckled. "Not easy keeping a secret, is it Parker? Hmm, might as well introduce myself." She started walking towards them. "Excuse me?"

All six eyes glued themselves to the woman with short hair, in the style that was a bob cut, wearing blue jeans and a black tank top with blue flip flops. "Aren't you Peter Parker, the photographer that takes the pictures of Spider-Man?"

Peter nodded.

The woman squealed, then glomped him. "I thought it was you! Tell me how is it that you get those fabulous pictures of the insect?"

Teresa pulled Cindy aside. "Do you know her?"

The Asian girl shook her head. "Big fan probably. Did you know that Peter is famous for taking pictures of Spider-Man at the Daily Globe?"

"Really, so my bro-Peter is a photographer? Does he still do it?"

"No, he got fired." Cindy stated. "For not wanting to take pictures of Spider-Man."

"So, my brother is very irresponsible then?" Teresa mused. "Glad to know."

"Such a shame too. I mean, it really looked like you climbed up a ladder to the fight, or did you happen to swing your way into getting these pictures?" Ashely asked.

Peter stiffened. She was dropping hints. Who was this woman? He had never seen her before. "I'm sorry, who are you?"

"Pardon me, my name is Ashely Kafka. I'm a psychiatrist treating many criminally insane supervillains, such as Eddie Brock, for example. He's told me so much about you, Mr. Parker." Ashely said with a cruel smile, alarming both Peter and Venom. "He blames you for so much, Peter, it makes us wonder what would happen if you weren't in the picture."

Cindy and Teresa tensed. Was this unknown woman threatening Peter? He didn't know who she was, so what was her beef? Wait who is 'us'?

She suddenly burst out laughing. Even with her laugh it didn't ease the tension. "Please forgive my dark humor. Eddie is one of my patients and he really despises you." Her smile turned into a frown. The redhead, according to her other warned about, was reaching for a weapon. She turned to Teresa. "I wouldn't do that if we were you."

"We?"

Suddenly her clothes morphed into a familiar black suit with a white spider logo, leaving her head uncovered.

Peter's jaw dropped to the floor. He couldn't believe it! The symbiote had found another host!

"Did Venom leave Eddie for a new host?!"

"Hold on, let me check!" Venom used his link to the original suit. The other responded in kind. "No! Eddie is still with the other. My guess is that this is another piece of the suit he used to Venomize this woman."

Tendrils shot out from the costume, knocking away both girls while Peter raced out of the store to change into his symbiote Spider-Man, but he needed to find somewhere safe to change.

People in the store began to scream and panic. They made a dash for the exit, not caring if they were knocking over items or not. There was a monster in the store, and they were not going to be sticking around.

"Venomize! He can do that!" Peter screamed in his mind. "Since when?!"

"Hello, Mr. Poor listening skills! What part of Brocks bond is stronger do you not understand? He's got stuff that'll make you pee your pants!"

Peter ducked into a less crowded hallway, then entered a restroom stall. "You know, now that I think about it, I think I'm going to call you Symbi just because calling you Venom is going to be confusing."

"Now I know you are just trying to piss me off," Venom said, unamused.

Meanwhile

Kafka with her not so She-Venom mask looked to where Peter had disappeared. "Well, might as well let him change..."

A gun cocked behind her head. "Don't move."

"Child, do you honestly believe that your little toy is going to stop us?" The symbiote woman turned then and munched on the gun.

Teresa was appalled. That thing just ate her gun!

Cindy came in, swinging a baseball bat, but She-Venom caught the bat with her hand. She struck Cindy across the face with the same bat, knocking her out cold, then faster than Teresa could react she was on the ground, clutching her stomach, the wind knocked out of her.

"First and final warning." Ashley threw the bat down to the ground. "Stay out of our way. You are not our target." A tendril reached down to her, stealing her wallet and badge. "So you are Teresa Madden, and what's this? A S.H.I.E.L.D agent? What does S.H.I.E.L.D want from Peter Parker?"

"Crotch!"

The doctor found herself being twirled into a wall. She grunted from impact. She clutched her head with her right hand. When she looked up, she had a feral grin on her face. "Well, look what the spider dragged in."

"Listen, whoever you are! Get rid of the symbiote suit. It's trying to control you!" Spider-Man warned.

"Control me? Hah!" Ashely stood. "I see for what you are, Parker. You ruined my love's life, so now I'll end yours."

Despite being in pain, Teresa ears perked up. "Parker?" She tried to find Peter. "Peter … where'd you go … erg …"

"You, Spider-Man. You thought you only must deal with Venom, now you will get deal with double the poison to you. We will not stop …" The mask slowly started covering her. "Until you are dealt with, we will enjoy tormenting you! We will be in your nightmares! We are toxin to both Peter Parker and Spider-Man! We are SHE-VENOM!"

The mask formed to make the face of his foe. It was a lot slimmer than the original, he noted; with the athletic tone this woman had, the suit hugged her assets quite well.

"So…Venom but with…boobs and female assets?" Spidey did not know how to react. "Should I be turned on or terrified?"

She-Venom's shoulders slumped as she drawled, "We should kill you for that."

Quickly she launched the clothing rack at Spider-Man. He twisted his body to get out of the way. The female version of Venom quickly tackled the Spider out of the store. They fell towards ground level with everyone panicking around them as Spidey takes the brunt of the force.

He had survived worst falls than this before, and thanks to Symbian the blow was lessened. It hurt but it was lessened. She-Venom preceded to punch him repeatedly in the face. Peter caught her eighth fist attack and punched her square in the mouth underneath the chin, causing her to bite her tongue.

"RAAGH!"

She clutched her mouth, allowing the wall-crawler to knock her away. He spotted an enormous plant pot on the bench. Webbing it, he twirled it towards the female, hitting her square. She was thrown back even more.

Tumbling further away, She-Venom hissed, then disappeared.

Peter stopped. Venom did the same trick with him last time. Concentrating his spider-sense with the symbiote, Peter began pulsing his Spider-sense to the area around him. With the symbiote it helped the range, increasing it tenfold, digging deeper than he had before he felt everything around him. Then suddenly he spotted her.

He fired a web line towards the second floor, where Ashley was getting ready to pounce on him. She was not expecting him to find her so quickly. She was punched to the face and, as she was sent hurling into the air, Peter sent a tendril line toward her, catching the female by the ankle, slamming her down to the ground.

"Okay, I admit that was awesome."

"See, I told you. Just keep relying on me, Parker, and you'll be able to do more than just that."

She-Venom was not done. She got up, kicked Spider-Man's feet from underneath him. She swiped down with her razor-sharp nails, scratching both the symbiote and Peter, causing him to bleed from his stomach. Peter gritted his teeth; it was like being sliced by an iron hot knife.

"Ergh!"

She-Venom pounced Spider-Man, kicked out as the fist landed, causing cracks on the floor. Another tendril from Spider-Man caught She-Venom by the neck. She gagged as she struggled to breathe. She flew towards his grip, reeled in by the neck, choking.

He panted in anger, "Why can't you symbiote-freaks…"

'HEY!' Symbian shouted.

"No offense!" He mentally added quickly. "Leave me alone! What did I ever do to you, Ms. Kafka?" He tightened his grip even further. The symbiote woman's feet dangled in the air as her hands clutched his wrist in hopes for him to let go.

"Not so fast, Spider-Man!" Spidey turned his head.

Venom clutched Teresa in his grasp by the neck. "Let her go unless you want this one to die."

"We both know, Eddie, you wouldn't hurt an innocent bystander. You sent your attack dog after me. You are going to pay the price." Peter was not in a joking mood. "Let's hear it! Why did you infect her!"

"We do not owe you an explanation. Let her go and I will let this one go," Venom hissed.

"Don't … ergh … do it … Spider-Man!" Teresa was seeing spots in her vision. Her face was red, she knew she was running out of oxygen.

"On three then."

"Fine!"

"One," Spider-Man said.

"Two," Venom counted.

"Three!" Venom was kicked by Cindy's web-swing. It caused him to lose his grip on the redhead girl. Peter threw She-Venom aside to catch his supposed sister. Before he could, She-Venom snarled, clutching her throat and fired a web line, tripping Spider-Man to the ground.

A loud thud is heard.

Peter's whole world stopped as he watched the girl bounce two feet into the air before she came back down and stayed down limply.

"TERESA!" Cindy shouted. She web-zipped down to her. Carefully, Cindy lifted her upper body as she quickly checked her pulse. It was weak, very weak. "She's fading!"

"Serves you right." Venom said, appearing next to She-Venom, helping her up from the beating she took.

Peter was trembling. He looked at Venom. "Eddie, get ready to enter a world of pain!"

Without warning, a purple haze surrounds him. He stood trembling in a rage. With his ESP Venom began to back up slowly. Then faster than a blink of an eye, a web-line attached itself to Venom, allowing the web-slinger to fly into his chest, for his feet to hit him squarely. The monstrous symbiote was on his back, but Peter bounced him up into the air with a web yank, then slammed the brute on the ground again, followed by a quick pounding to the ground. It caused Venom to be lifted into the air for a moment before he uppercut him in the face.

Tendrils began whipping at Venom from Spider-Man. They formed bone-like structures at the end before it latched to Eddie. It scraped him to no end, since Spider-Man was spinning like Sonic the Hedgehog. He slammed the tendrils down on Venom's head.

Spider-Man clung to the wall, looking down on Venom.

She-Venom was stunned as well as Cindy. They had never thought to see this side of Peter. It scared them both. They watched as Spider-Man launched himself at Venom, as the latter rubbed his head, trying to get his bearings together.

Spidey lunges but Venom backhands him. He skids to a halt, as tendrils shoot from his shoulders allowing him to come to a halt. Venom snarls, he goes running towards Spider-Man but our hero pinned him down again and began brutally punching Venom in the face until a sickening crack is heard.

Gently putting Teresa down, Cindy rushed over to Peter while Ashley rushed to Eddie. Peter was tackled off Venom, while She-Venom aided her beloved.

Peter struggled to get the Asian girl off.

"PETER, NO!"

"GET OFF ME!"

"Peter! Remember: Great Power comes Great Responsibility!"

His thrashing stopped. He was panting hard. He pointed his finger at Venom. "Brock! Look at me when I talk to you!"

"Peter…"

He stopped, turned his body halfway. Cindy was crying. He looked back to where She-Venom and Venom were at. They were gone.

He spun the girl around, wrapping his arms around her, then lifted her chin. Tears spilled down onto her creamy face. She buried herself into his chest, weeping.

"I'm sorry…" He said. "Thank you…"

One ambulance trip later …

Spider-Man followed the ambulance via web-swinging. Symbian was kind enough to allow that small piece that was in Teresa to stabilize her condition a little bit. According to Symbian, Teresa suffered multiple fractures, a swelling in the head, a punctured lung, broken legs, a damaged spine, and a major loss of blood. They rushed her into the ER where they began to work on her to try to stabilize her as best, they could.

Peter and Cindy sat in the waiting room with them holding hands.

Peter was still bitter about the encounter with She-Venom. Eddie was going to pay big time. Two hours passed, and Peter laid his head down on Cindy's lap. She stroked his hair as he watched the ceiling.

"Mr. Parker?"

Peter quickly got up. A doctor with a clipboard in hand and surgical equipment on was stood in front of him.

"I'm here. How is she, doc?"

"You might want to sit down for this one, son. I'm afraid I have bad news." The doctor said gravely. All the color in Peter's face drained away. He did as he was told. "The young woman Teresa Madden, how are you related to her?"

"She's supposedly my younger sister, but nothing is confirmed." The doctor raised a brow. "The only explanation I can give you is that we met recently. She was adopted by a different family."

"Hmm, I see." The doctor removed his glasses. "Umm, we did what we could, but she is in a coma right now. It's a miracle that she survived a fall from that monster from the third floor. However, given her intensive injuries, she is fighting for her life. We don't know if she is going to make it past today."

It shook Peter to the core. A potential living relative and not even twenty-four hours later she was on death's door. "Can't we do a blood transfusion or something?!"

"I'm sorry, son. There is nothing we could do. It is best if you said your goodbye."

Not long after that, gunshot was heard outside.

Just what the doctor ordered. Peter groaned, as paramedics barricaded the door, bringing in the last of the patients to avoid being killed. The doctor ordered for the police to arrive.

Peter turned to Cindy.

Before he said a word, she placed a finger to his lips. "Let me take care of it. You stay here with Teresa."

"Be careful."

Cindy nodded, then was pulled into a kiss by Peter. It lasted for a few moments, then the raven-haired young woman went to a secluded part of the hospital to change into her web uniform.

Now that was out of the way, Peter acted instantly, searching for an I.V and some blood tubes. It was a good thing that he was a universal donor, meaning his blood type was 'O-'.

When he found what he was looking for in a fresh kit in one nurse's possession, he used his webbing to snatch it and he made sure that it had not been used yet. Once that was done, he used his spider-sense to look for Teresa. He locked onto her signature. She was in ICU room 23. Sneaking by was easy, since the symbiote had camouflage. When he entered, his heart clenched. Hooked up to various machines was his supposed sister. "I'll be damned if I lose another relative."

He locked the door and shut the blinds. The machines had been keeping her going, the heart monitor was beeping slowly. He knew he had to work fast or else.

Outside …

Cindy surveyed her handiwork from on top of the hospital. It was not easy, but she should have been quicker. The goons were webbed to the building or knocked unconscious. She was going back, lost in thought, when suddenly a voice spooked her.

"Greetings, fellow mutant."

Alerted, Cindy looked around to see where it was coming from. "Voices that talk out of nowhere, so unless this is one of the voices in my head then I'm crazy already."

"I'm up here, you fool!"

She looked up, then shrieked, curling up like a cat would when it was frightened. Floating above her was a shadowy figure, staring at her with piercing white eyes. Cindy stared from head to toe. Obviously, this was a man, sporting a red helmet with a hint of purple lining as well as the cape with red armor with a hint of purple tights and purple boots.

"Umm … you must be the Easter bunny. I've been waiting for those eggs, you know. Though you are kinda early into celebrating it. Shall I make a few calls?"

"Your humor is most peevishness … I didn't come here for stand-up comedy. I have come for you. I've seen your powers manifesting when you faced that creature." He pointed his finger at the wall-crawler rookie. "Your talents are wasted if you think you can help those who don't understand us. Join me and I will put your talent to good use."

"My mother always told me never to talk with strangers, especially those who wear their underwear on the outside, floating in midair and looking at me menacingly. Ta-ta for now."

She was about to leave when out of nowhere she felt herself being picked up.

The man boomed, "Who gave you permission to leave?"

"Uhh … me? Who are you?"

"I am Power! Men call me Magneto, the master of magnetism, and the future of hope for all mutants that these pathetic Homo sapiens have hunted or killed or oppressed! Do you know what it's like to see that oppression still in today's society, girl?"

"No … can't say I have."

"I've been a Sonderkommando at Auschwitz for almost two years. I watched thousands of men, women, and children walk to their deaths. I pulled their bodies from the gas chambers. I dug out their teeth so the Germans could take their gold. And I carried them to the ovens, where I learned how to combine a child's body with old men to make them burn better. I saw my fellow workers buried alive under an avalanche of rotting corpses. I saw thousands of murdered people burning in giant outdoor pits. I have seen at least of quarter million dead human beings with my own eyes ... and I couldn't save one ..." The shadowy figure snarled, "NO MORE! I will personally see to it that Mutant kind will be superior species instead of the Homo sapiens!"

"A psychopath with a tragic past, I take it. I think I've seen these in the movies where the crazy has a hidden agenda, but I kindly reject your offer," Cindy said.

"Hmph. Very well, but the offer does stand, should you change your mind." He let her down. "My card."

She took it, then he disappeard. "What a weird man."

Once she was back down on the ground level, she spotted Peter waiting for her at the entrance. Cindy rushed to him, embracing him. They were silent, enjoying one another.

Our mild manner hero spoke. "Let's go, no point in sticking around any longer."

The ride back was silent. There were no words to be exchanged. They made one stop to get equipment from another sports store; when they arrived home, it was 3:00 pm.

Once at the penthouse Peter said, "I need to take your measurements, to make sure the suit will fit. Do you mind?"

"No, not at all."

Peter admired her figure once she put on a sports bra and sports pants. She had an athletic build to her, with her stomach having a bit of tone, showing off her abs. Her bust size, as he measured, was between size 'C' and 'D', her waist 33", and hips 41". Not a hint of fat anywhere on this woman. Once done writing it down, he went into another room.

"Peter."

He stopped, looked at Cindy.

"Don't ever lose yourself, Peter. Today I saw a side of you I don't ever want to see again. It scares me how brutal you can become."

Peter looked at the floor briefly, then at her. "Sometimes, that side of me pops up from time to time. You saw what happened to Teresa. If she is my last living relative then you can bet your head I'm going to protect my own, including you. That doesn't mean; however, I will kill. No matter how much a person deserves it or I despise them. I am no one's judge, jury, or executioner. My aunt always taught me that God will have his day and will repay everyone according to their deeds. My job is to stop crooks and let the authorities handle it, though I should thank you for stopping me."

With that said, he disappeared into the room. Over the next hour, Peter worked diligently to modify the suit the way it needed to be for Cindy. When he was done with sewing the last piece together, he took a pause, admiring his work. He went to fetch Cindy.

"I don't see the point of you covering my eyes, Peter."

"You'll ruin the surprise." He said with a smile.

Once they were in the room, Peter with one hand still covered the eyes of Cindy. He was now in front of her. "Ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be."

"Keep your eyes closed and don't peek."

She huffed but complied. Her ear twitched as Peter shuffled about, now curiosity getting to her. She was tempted to open her eyes. Perhaps a quick peek…

"Alright, open them!"

Cindy's vision came into focus of a stretched-out, black and light grey suit that Peter held in his hands from the shoulders. She inspected the costume; there was a small red spider in the mid-section surrounded by webbing that went from center red to outward black, but stopped at the edges where several lighting edges cover a bit of the thigh of the pants and arms. She gazed down at the feet. It was … where is the rest of the costume?

"Umm, Peter, where's the rest of the costume?"

"Try it on." He tossed it to her which she caught effortlessly. "Before I forget, I made this for you." On the desk was a device for her hand. It was a black glove with red fingertips for the index and middle finger while the three fingers would be black. "It's a good thing Tony has a machine that can create virtually any costume here, or else this would have been very difficult. I designed your gloves to make sure that when you shoot webs from your wrist it wouldn't be hindered by the fabric."

Peter left for Cindy to get changed.

"Just a side note, I shoot webs from my fingertips, not my wrist, you know."

He closed the door; Cindy shook her head.

15 minutes later, Cindy emerged fully dressed in the costume Peter had made for her, completed with a red mask that covered from her nose down. Peter licked his lips. She was the definition of athleticism and womanly figure.

Cindy's face turned red. "Stop staring, please! I feel exposed!"

Peter smiled, circling her. He hugged her from behind then whispered in her ear, sending chills down her spine. "Don't you look dashing in that suit."

Her breath hitched.

"Let's go on pat…"

His scanner interrupted him. "All units be advised, suspect known as Cletus Kasady has been cornered between Suffolk Street and Stanton Street at The Orphanage on 42 Clinton Street. Be advised, suspect is armed and dangerous."

Peter's costume morphed. "Let's go. I want to see how well you take down a criminal. We'll be swinging from the top of the penthouse."

"HUH?!"

Police sirens wailed across the evening; the people who saw this were puzzled as to why NYPD finest were in such a rush. Then again, should there be a reason when a notorious criminal such as Cletus Kasady was on loose?

Cars screeched to a halt as they blocked off the entrance to the streets, SWAT teams came out of their armored vehicles and helicopters were whirling about. Soon Lieutenant Yuri Watanabe and Captain Terri Lee were on scene.

"Captain!" One of the officers saluted and pointed to an open window. "He's up there!"

"You! What are you waiting for? Hit the lights!"

The man with the searchlight turned it on, and the spotlight began searching and shining to spot anything on the psychopath.

"Cletus Kasady! Come out with your hands up!"

Maniacal laughter filled the air, sending chills down the spine of the officers, even to the hardened Veterans. They swallowed dryly. To them, Kasady was the embodiment of a monster they have never seen, someone without remorse, especially with all the atrocity he's committed.

"Come and nobody gets hurt!"

"Nobody gets get hurt?" He said with a sadistic laugh. "Man, what fun would that be?"

An item was thrown out the window next to the patrol cars. The officers were quick to move with the shout of, "GRENADE!"

The explosion toppled over several cars, injuring a few officers in the process. Lee and Watanabe peeked from over from their covers, then Captain Lee turned to the chief. "Chief, we are going to need to a distraction in about a minute!"

"You got it!"

"Yuri!"

"Ma'am!"

"I need you to take a four-man cell and storm in. Wait for the signal!"

Yuri barked at three officers, but she halted briefly by Terri. "Watanabe!" The Asian woman stopped in her tracks, looking back at her superior officer. "You love your job, right? Well, Kasady loves his, so be careful."

Yuri got the message; she took off in the back of the building. Yuri checked her watch, timing the movement of the distraction. A helicopter fired bullets against the open window. She barked, "There's our distraction, move it!"

An officer barged the door down, the four-man squad raced to the top to put an end to Cletus Kasady. Once they reached the door, Yuri took out an explosive, placing it on the door. "Everyone down!"

Not a moment too soon the door exploded open.

They raced inside, coming to an intersection as they flashed their flashlights. Yuri motioned them to stop, then signalled them to split to the right and to the left as she took the middle. Taking out her gun, she busted the door open with a front kick, and shone the light inside. She stepped in.

Just then a metal door slammed shut, locking her inside.

The other officers rushed to her location, banging on it, "LT. Watanabe!"

Yuri banged on the door. How could she have done such a rookie mistake!

She stopped as she heard footsteps. She spun and shone the light. To her horror the madman Cletus Kasady stared at her with a maniacal grin. She pointed the gun to him, but he swatted it away.

"I raised in this place; you know." He tossed Yuri to the ground. "It was really a house of horror and it still is man; you'll see. HAHAHAHAHA!"

His laughter was cut short when his metal began to creek and bend and then with a final grunt the door fell, revealing a girl in a skin-tight outfit. He chuckled darkly. "Man, you better stay away or else…" Cletus lifted his shirt, revealing a bomb tied to his waist.

"Damn it! It looks like raw composition C-4 plastique!" Yuri pointed out

"Exactamente!" He laughed again, as if the situation was a game. "In about thirty seconds I'll see you all…WHOA!"

"Thanks, big mouth, that's all I need know!" The cops watched as the girl tossed Kasady aside after lifting him up from his ankles. She kicked open the metal covering, spun a web and hesitated. after free-falling from the hundredth floor her knees were trembling. She swallowed. Now was not the time to hesitate, she was on borrowed time.

Cindy took off with Spider-Man following closely behind. He spotted the bomb. "Spidey! Help! Bomb!"

He spun a web line, handling it in his hand. "C-4 plastique! With that amount, the blast radius would be about two hundred meters! Crap, fifteen seconds!"

"Where you are going to dispose of it? There isn't enough time!"

Peter looked up, then twirled the bomb, and with all his might he hurled it into the air. Just as it exploded, Peter willed the symbiote to shield them from the blast. The explosion caught a few buildings on fire, while it left rubble to where Cindy and he was. The cocoon of the symbiote unraveled with a daze, Cindy and Peter coming out of it.

"Anyone catch that train that hit us!" Cindy groaned.

"Once again our hero triumphs as the cheers of a grateful people ring in his ears." He held his head, "Something is sure is ringing."

He fires a web line with Cindy, "So what superhero name shall we call you? Spider-girl?"

"No!"

"Spider-Woman?"

"No!"

Cindy is a bit queasy as she swings in the evening skyline of New York, she sweats coldly. She is high above the ground; she begins to hyperventilate. Spider-Man notes this, "Cindy talk to me keep your mind focus on my voice and you'll make it through."

"Okay, I'll try." She spins another web line, Spidey swings right next to her incase anything should happen. Suddenly, her spider-senses goes berserk and she loses her aim and starts to plummet to the ground, "EEK!"

Spider-Man catches his apprentice by the ankle via tendril then lands on a building hoisting her up, when he sits her on his lap she is shaking and sweating hugging him tightly.

"Easy Cindy, easy. I got you." He shoots another web line, "Get on my back you're not ready for this type of height."

Spidey decides to patrol since the night is young and there was little day light left. They continue to talk about her superhero name. He then swings across a neighborhood in the slums, when suddenly his spider-sense goes wild and his web line is destroyed by a powerful blast.

Cindy screams holding onto Peter for dear life, he twirls on Flag post onto the streets below, the two land gracefully. He looks up annoyed, "Now where did they come from?"

Cindy looks up, two heavily armed men walk across the rooftop minding their own business as if nothing had happened. "I know this isn't the best time but how about Silk?"

LXD: Hello again, I updated a week early another chapter ready and beta. See you next time and as always comment, rate and subscribe.

Responses for the reviewer:

TheReckless1One: Thank you, more fluffy moments await! And Tony has a brother?! Damn…where have I been living? Father and daughter bonding will be here eventually, and Tony is that awesome uncle we always wanted but can never have T T

Antex-The Legendary Zoroark: Indeed, Peter can't catch a break and thanks for the advice but I don't think I will be introducing more plot devices than what I have already, now it's time to intertwine everything together as best that I can write. That's interesting to know diversity here in fandoms, awesome. Honestly, I can't see anyone else play Tony Stark beside RDJ, the man got his comic book counterpart down.

spiderman1fan: Thanks and that is a big 'IF' not sure I want to do it or not.

Soledge1: I have an idea in which direction that I need to take it with some references from certain video games and comics.

NOnormal99: True but let me ask you what is endo-sym? I don't think I heard of that before, and you my friend I'm taking what you are saying adding it to my notes. As my knowledge is concerned when Eddie 'healed' Anna the suit had to separate from him but in Webs of Shadows Spidey uses the suit to save Black cat so I don't know which direction I'm going to go. And yes Venom/Symbian will give Peter eidetic memory

Guest: Possibility of Toxin appearance; 60% no 40% yes

kaffeenator666: Thanks having a beta and using Grammarly does help a lot, which is why you don't see as many mistakes. I think at this point in time I'm done setting up. I think I have all the pieces that I need to use, and if I do set up it's going to be extremely minor thing for the next chapter or brief purposes, also I go with the later part of what you said about Peter being handed everything by Tony.

Wait? So you have seen this plot before with Felicia? Naw, it couldn't be from Spider-Man PS4, it's only a coincidence. -_(o.o)_- Peter isn't shy from helping out a friend so we'll what happens. One thing you can bet on is that Felicia and Lorina will have words to exchange about Felicity.

You are correct Norman has no contact with green serum yet. Till your next review
