"I've heard of you," Angelique said, "You're the one with the posters everywhere, am I correct?" Adrien laughed softly and rubbed the back of his head.
"Well, I guess," Adrien said.
"It is a fact, you cannot guess," Angelique said.
"OK, then yes. But, I want to know more about you," Adrien said.
"Oh," Angelique said. She didn't really know what to say. "I am an expert matchmaker." Angelique sort-of smiled. It wasn't really a smile, more of one corner of her mouth not deciding what it wanted to do. Angelique's normal tension was put at ease when she was near Adrien. Usually, people with his fame would be bragging about their fame.
"Expert matchmaker- hmm," Adrien said. "Who would you match with Juleka?"
"Rose obviously has an obsession over Juleka," Angelique said. She set her book down on the table lightly, not making a sound.
"Wow, you're really good at being quiet. You should be a superhero," Adrien said.
"Superheroes have no clue on how elegance plays into movement," Angelique said. "I do."
"Good point, but hey, Ladybug's pretty sharp, isn't she?" Adrien asked.
"Not exactly, but if you think so, I will agree," Angelique said.
"Hey, would you like to meet my friends?" Adrien asked, seeing Nino, Alya, and Marinette walk out of the classroom deep in conversation.
"I'm not good around people," Angelique admitted.
"Well, my friends aren't judges, and if you want to, you can hold onto my arm," Adrien said. "If you feel more comfortable doing that."
"Actually, that might help," Angelique answered. "But to be clear, we are just friends."
"Just friends," Adrien repeated. He had a sense that Angelique was more comfortable around him. So, letting her grab his arm, they walked up to the group.
"Hey, Adrien!" Alya said, nudging Marinette who had pink painted across her face.
"Hey, guys," Adrien said. Angelique could see Marinette was getting uncomfortable.
"Hi, Angelique, am I right?" Marinette said, her face turning a little red.
"Hello, Marinette," Angelique said. Her cool and collected face seemed to phase Marinette. She was mad as a hippopotamus who didn't have breakfast. Angelique looked at Adrien, who didn't even notice the small inner feelings of Marinette's heart, and Angelique knew he was oblivious.
"Marinette brought lunch, but I didn't," Alya began. "You guys wanna go get some lunch?"
"I could go for lunch," Adrien said.
"I'll stay here with Marinette," Angelique said.
"Are you sure, Angelique?" Adrien asked.
"Yes," Angelique answered. She let go of Adrien's arm and watched as Alya, Adrien, and Nino walked away. "You have a thing for Adrien, don't you?" Marinette was caught off guard.
"Yeah," Marinette said, her anger easing.
"I have an-" Angelique was interrupted by the most annoying voice Angelique had ever heard.
"Wow, new girl. Just wow. Dupin-Cheng is like the lowest of the low. If you want to be seen as rich and opulent, you should be talking to me," Chloe said. Angelique was ticked. She didn't let it show, and looked Chloe coolly in the eye.
"Chloe, you may be rich on the outside, but the inside is more important. Never interrupt me unless you'd like to hear from my lawyer," Angelique said. Chloe's eyes were wide as Angelique gracefully spun around and sat next to Adrien.
Ok, I love doing your stories because they are so specific! What do want to happen next? Seriously, you make a really good story to write.
