CHAPTER 8: DR. SMITH.

(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)

Meanwhile, in the hallways of Mordred's castle Thomas and his friends were running as fast as they could to the throne room, defeating many knights as they barred their way, and unlocked many doors with the Key-Stone to continue forward. Before long they entered into a massive room which had a lot of space. As they were about to continue going forward, something caught Thomas's eye and made him stop.

"Thomas?!" Gordon cried. "What are you doing?! We need to take down Mordred and we can't do that without you!"

"I know that!" Thomas replied. "It's just that... well..."

"Well what?!"

Thomas gave a sigh and drew Excalibur out of its sheath. As everyone then peered at the sword, their eyes widened. Excalibur was radiating a golden glow, and not the kind that would be seen during a Sword-Spell.

"How strange." Gordon remarked.

"Why hasn't it ever done that before?" Percy quizzed.

"Because we have never been around Caliburn." Answered a voice.

As everyone then looked over, they found it was Proteus who was speaking.

"I don't know TOO much about Excalibur and it's true legends.." Proteus explained. "But I do know that when it glows, that's it reacting to it's sister blade Caliburn, and the link you have with it, Thomas."

"Caliburn?" Thomas then quizzed as he then sheathed his blade once again. "Isn't that the sword in the stone?"

"Yes it was." Proteus replied. "However, Merlin originally intended to have Arthur Dual Wield, but due to how complicated it was, the king stuck with the use of one blade."

"Makes sense." Thomas replied. "Maybe if I'm lucky enough I might just find Caliburn, and get a chance to par it with Excalibur."

"With the likelihood of Excalibur glowing now.." Proteus remarked. "You just might."

As Everyone cracked a smile, they were about to continue forward, when the sound of footsteps echoed from the hallway ahead.

"Look sharp guys!" Henry called out. "We got more coming!"

"How many?" Edward quizzed, as Timothy then peered into the hallway to get him his answer.

"Just one?!" The 19 year-old then exclaimed as the figure then stopped in front of the Sorcerer-Knights, as a confident smirk cracked upon his lips.

"12 against 1?!" Percy then smirked with amusement. "He's SO out numbered!"

As Percy then drew his sword and charged towards the man, Lady noticed the enemy pull a rune out of the pocket of his lab coat and gasped upon seeing it. She then tried to call out to Percy.

"Percy! Stop! It's no use!"

"Huh?"

"What a fool." The figure then said to the 16 year old in green, as he slammed then the rune into the floor. "GATE OF BABYLON!"

Then as the man gave his command, golden sigils appeared around the man as weapons came firing out of them like projectiles. As the weapons flew, one of them knocked Percy over and back, scratching him in the process. As the man cackled, his eyes were full of madness, and his voice was triumphant. He then sighed and then spoke to the invaders.

"Behold! The ancient Weapon of Gilgamesh! The King of heroes! Try all as you like Sorcerer-Knights, but there's no way you're going to beat me! For I'm the almighty Dr. Evan Smith! AH! HA! HA! HA!"

"Uh..." Sounded Percy with a loss of words.

"Maybe it's best if you just refer to yourself as Dr. Smith." Edward suggested. "For well... you're kind of Awkward."

Dr. Smith's jaw dropped as the rest of his enemies nodded in agreement.

"Argh! Fine!" The scientist grumbled. "I'll just be Dr. Smith! but my point is that I, Dr. Smith have successfully reconstructed the Gate of Babylon and now have one of the ultimate weapons at my disposal." He then said as he adjusted his glasses and pointed at the Sorcerer-Knights. "With my great math ability and with this weapon of many weapons. I shall destroy you all and then my Lord and master will rule the world! AH! HA! HA! HA!"

"And there's the awkwardness again." Murmured Duck as his sweat dropped

"Yup." Remarked Timothy.

"But he does have a point though." Lady sighed.

"So what do we do?" Percy quizzed as he and everyone else tried to think of a plan.

(POV: Billster.)

As I looked at everyone else, and the awkward doctor that was barring our path, I couldn't help but feel that only I could beat him.

"A weapon of many weapons?" I thought. "I guess I have no use but to use IT. If I don't use this trump card of mine right now, we'll never reach our goal."

Determined to win, I stepped towards the insane person before us, exhaling as I did so, for I was about to get VERY serious here.

"Brother." I then said to Thomas. "You and everyone else, find some cover. I'll deal with Dr. Loose Screw here."

"It's Dr. Evan Smith you impertinent child!" The scientist said after dropping his jaw once again. "GET IT RIGHT!"

"Whatever." I scoffed. "Oh, and by the way, the catchphrase "get it right" is already taken, so do ya dare say it again."

"Argh! Fine!" He then growled. "Anyway, if you think that you can beat this ultimate weapon of mine alone, then you're gravely mistaken."

"Are you absolutely sure about that?" I then asked darkly.

The man scowled as he then summoned the weapons and got ready to fire them at me.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." He then said to me, as I got my trump card ready.

(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)

Then The weapons fired and flew towards Billster. As the dust kicked up where Billster stood, Dr Smith had a smirk on his face, sure of his victory, however, as the dust dissipated, his expression changed, for the 15 year old was still standing and was blocking the weapons with a shield of blue flames. As everyone watched on, Billster swung his right arm to the side and the swords stabbed straight into the wall to his right. Then as Billster scowled, a ring of blue flames started to swirl around him as sparks separated from it and into the air, before transforming into swords. As Dr. Smith took a step back in shock and surprise, Billster spoke to him.

"I hate guys like you! Thinking that your wrong doings are right! Thinking that you can get away with ANYTHING, whether it's good or bad! It's for these reasons why cults like yours should be burned to ashes!"
