It all started one summer morning...
Those were the words that started the teenagers emotional throwback to their childhood, that wasn't far behind them, but it had felt like forever since that time when they were sitting together in their backyard, building random things and just having fun together.
Ferb opened the UPAFDS to reveal the very first picture. It was a picture that Ferb had taken of all of them on the rollercoaster. Isabella laughed at their funny faces.
"Aww, look at little Phineas!" she cooed. Phineas turned bright red and smiled awkwardly.
"How did you guys even pull this off? This is like... amazing!" Emma said, astonished by the pictures that Ferb kept flipping through. They acted like this was completely normal, and she laughed at their completely normal reactions to things like an animal translator, a backyard beach, and even snow in summer!
"I dunno, we just always had a knack for it... ever since we were little we'd build these crazy things that seemed impossible and as the years went by, it just became second nature. Our mom never found out, we think it's because our sister, who always tried to get us in trouble for some reason, just had bad luck so everything would just disappear before she got home. We honestly still don't know how that happened, but I guess some mysterious force didn't want us getting in trouble." Phineas explained, shrugging.
Ferb found a picture of them on that safari to Africa they took once. Emma looked at the picture and seemed to have a confused face. He noticed and asked her what was wrong.
"I- that just looks... familiar to me... where was this?" she asked.
"We took a trip to Africa back when we were 10... why?"
Her eyes widened with delight. "No way! Really? I was on that too!" she laughed.
"You were?" Ferb asked, confused.
"Yeah! We were in the other camp, but I remember seeing you guys on that weird vehicle with a bunch of different animal parts... I was so confused as to what that was!"
"You were?!" the three friends asked.
"That's such a coincindence! Wow, who would've known?" Phineas laughed.
"I know right, crazy! Oh, now I can see it! Of course!" she facepalmed. "Huh, guess it was meant to be!"
The friends all laughed and continued skipping through the pages, looking through all the memories they'd had over the years.
"Man, I would have loved to know you guys back when you were little..." Emma sighed.
All of a sudden, an idea popped into Phineas's head. "Ferb, I know what we're going to do today!" he said.
"You do?" Ferb asked.
"Well, okay, maybe not TODAY but this weekend. Gosh dang it, I ruined my own catchphrase."
Isabella laughed. "Well, what is it?"
"We're going to go back to when we were kids." he said with a grin. "And this time, Emma can come with us."
"You can do that?" Emma asked.
"Um, please. We've been to Mars, the Jurassic time period, the future, AND a planet in the Vr- Vro- Vrob-" he stuttered.
"Vroblok Cluster." Ferb finished.
"That's it... I'm a little rusty." Phineas laughed, and then he and Ferb exchanged a glance.
"Vroblok, Vroblok, Vroblok, Vroblok, Vroblok..." they said at the same time.
Emma looked disconcertingly at Isabella, who just smiled and shrugged.
"Well, that was disturbing..." she said when they stopped.
Phineas and Ferb started laughing their heads off at her comment.
"What did I say?" Emma asked.
"They're just weird boys, don't worry about it." Isabella laughed.
When they finished looking through the scrapbook, Ferb went upstairs to put it away.
Emma saw that Phineas and Isabella were starting to get cuddly, so she got off the couch and followed Ferb upstairs.
She found him in his room, putting away the book. She leaned against the doorframe and wondered how long he would take before noticing her.
He sat next to the bookshelf, trying to fit the huge scrapbook into a space between all of his books.
"I have way too many books..." he mumbled to himself.
She smiled and tried not to giggle while standing outside his door.
He turned around and jumped when he saw her. "What's up?" he asked, blushing. "Sorry, you startled me."
"Oh, your brother and his girlfriend are getting a little bit touchy so I decided to leave them alone." she laughed.
"Ew, I hate it when they do that..." he said, sitting down on his bed, patting the mattress next to him to get her to come sit by him. "We don't wanna see that, let's just stay here until you have to go." he smiled.
She ran to the other side of the bed and plopped down next to him, making them both bounce. They laughed and he wrapped his arm around her.
They were now just sitting down on the bed next to each other, leaning back and looking at the ceiling. Ferb looked to the side and saw her start to close her eyes.
"Whatcha thinking?" he asked softly.
She shook herself awake and groaned. "Ugh, my stomach hurts." she frowned.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?" he asked, raising an eyebrow, then remembering they forgot to get dinner.
She thought for a second then shook her head. "Nope... I hate to ask, but do you have an apple or something?"
"No, don't be sorry! It was my fault, I should've gotten us food..." he said, hopping off the bed. "Let me make you dinner!" he said.
"You really don't have to, Ferb! I don't want to intrude..." she said.
"You're not intruding at all! I asked you on a date and so on a date we shall go!" he grinned and took her hand. They started to go downstairs when they saw Phineas and Isabella making out on the couch.
Emma squeaked, trying not to laugh, while Ferb grabbed her hand and they ran out the door. "Forget eating at home, I'm taking you to dinner." he laughed and they walked to his car.
He opened the door for her and she got in. He ran to the drivers seat and got in.
"Any preferences?" he asked.
"Umm... not really?" she said with a nervous smile.
"Ugh, females..." he joked, and pulled up directions on his phone. He buckled his seatbelt and drove off. "It's okay, I'm taking you to this place that's absolutely amazing." he smiled.
"Okay... promise me it's not too expensive, I don't need you paying even more for me." she said.
"Oh, it's not... I'm saving that for our second date." he smirked.
She punched him in the arm lightly when they stopped at the stoplight.
"Hey, you're not supposed to touch the driver when he's driving!" he teased.
"You're not driving, though. We're stopped." she remarked with a devilish smile.
"Touché..." he laughed, and continued when the light turned green, smiling wide. He was having the time of his life, tonight had been the most perfect night of his life, and he couldn't wait to go on another date with her.
They reached their destination, a cute little cafe on the edge of town. He walked to the other side and opened her door.
She got out and was in love with the small hometown feel of the cafe.
"It's so cute!" she laughed.
"Just like- nevermind, that was extremely cheesy..." he blushed.
"No, no, continue? What was that?" she smiled, teasing him.
"Just like... that kid at the fair!" he covered.
She shook her head in disappointment. "Dang, Ferb, you didn't wanna tell me I'm cute..." she frowned and looked at the ground, wondering if he was still as gullible as earlier.
He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer into him. "That's because you're not cute. You're beautiful." he said.
She was not expecting that. Her head popped up faster than you could say 'where's Perry?'
"Y-you think I'm beautiful?" she smiled.
"Of course I do!" he grinned and gave her a squeeze.
She leaned her head into his side, content to be here with him in the moment. It was late, but she didn't care.
"Well, well, well... what do we have here?" a familiar voice chimed in from the other side of the parking lot. Ferb's head shot up at the voice. He grimaced when he saw who it was.
Gracie.
"Aww, look at that, girls! Ferb found himself a little girlfriend! Just wait until she finds out he's using her." she made a pouty face and then laughed her signature nasally laugh.
Ferb rolled his eyes. "What the heck is your problem, Gracie?" he said.
"My problem? MY problem!? I think you mean what's YOUR problem, Ferbs." she said, using his full name.
He scowled. "I only let a few people call me Ferbs, and you are NOT one of them. Leave us alone, Gracie."
Emma stepped back, trying to stay out of her way. "Ferb, it's okay... it's not a big deal... let's just go somewhere else..." she said quietly, trying to get him to listen.
"No." he responded. "I'm handling this." he said with a cold face.
"Ferb! What's this going to do for you?" she pleaded.
"Emma, go back to the car." he hissed. She realized she wasn't going to convince him otherwise. He had a fire in his eyes and he was dead set on making sure she wasn't going to ruin anything else. She walked back to the car slowly, keeping an eye on him to make sure he didn't get hurt.
Gracie walked up to him and smiled evilly. "I told you you're not getting away." she whispered. "Ferb, Ferb, Ferb... I just can't believe you didn't tell her that you're already taken!" she called loudly, making sure Emma heard.
"W-what?" he asked.
"Well, you obviously already have a girlfriend! See, she's here right now!" Gracie said, and motioned to a convertible, where a girl dressed in black leather got out.
"Hey, Ferb!" she called.
Emma saw the girl and saw Ferb's eyes widen. Her jaw dropped. He has a girlfriend already? What in the world? Tears started streaming down her face as she tried to understand what was going on. Suddenly, a hand was on her shoulder. It was a girl about her age.
"You found out, huh?" the girl asked.
"Y-yeah... I can't believe he didn't tell me..." she whispered, trying not to start bawling.
"Ferb's just not a good guy. He comes off like it and then completely ruins your life. What did you expect, though? He's kind of the most liked guy in the school." she said.
"You're right... I shouldn't have expected anything." she sighed, tears still running down her cheeks.
"Name's Lillie!" the girl smiled.
"I-I'm Emma." she said.
"EMMA!" Ferb called. "SHE'S LYING, DON'T LISTEN TO HER!"
Emma's face went cold. "I can't believe you. You lied to me!" she yelled, and Lillie took her across the lot to her own car.
"C'mon, I'll take you home!" she smiled, and Emma wiped her tear away and agreed.
"NO! Stop! Don't leave! She's not my girlfriend!" he called, crying his eyes out. His voice was breaking, and he realized she couldn't hear him anymore. She was already in the car, driving off.
"Don't mess with me, jerkface." Gracie hissed in his face. He felt spit on his face, and wiped it off.
"You're a snake, Gracie. No wonder nobody loves you." he spat back at her.
She made a fake sad face. "Oh, no! Nobody loves me! How sad! It's okay, seeing the look on her face when Lillie told her you're dating Vanessa is enough for me."
"Wait, wait, what's going on here?" Vanessa asked, confused. "I was told I was meeting Ferb and his new girlfriend? Hello?"
"Oh, you are! It's me!" Gracie said, grasping Ferb's arm.
"Then... who was that?" Vanessa asked, glancing the other way.
"My act-" Ferb started, but then Gracie pinched him.
"Shut up..." she said out of the side of her mouth.
"That was just his crazy ex. Ugh, we just hate her, don't we, Ferb?" she asked.
Ferb stood there, expressionless.
"I'm gonna go get our table! You guys catch up!" Gracie smiled and ran inside.
"What just happened, Ferb?" she asked.
"Gracie's lying. I'm not her boyfriend, and that girl that just drove away crying was the girl I was supposed to be on a date with. I don't know where Lillie's taking her, all I know is it can't be good. Will you help me?" he asked.
"Oh, brother... highschool girls are just dramatic, aren't they..." Vanessa rolled her eyes. "Let's go save your girlfriend from those brats." she smiled.
They ran across the parking lot to Vanessa's sports car and climbed in. Vanessa started the engine and they drove out of the lot with a screech from the tires.
"Okay, guys, I'm- where'd they go?" Gracie wondered, getting back outside. "That stupid boy... he's gonna pay for that." she scowled, getting in her own car.
Lillie: I got her, where do u want me to take her
Gracie: Take her to the spot. We have some evidence collecting to get to.
Lillie: sounds like a plan, see u in a few
This is going to be a very fun experience... for me, anyways! Gracie thought, and laughed maniacally as she got in her car and drove off.
