Greetings ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to another chapter of The One That Parodies Friends.
The fun of parodying Season 7 will be back soon. For now, with the new year about to start, it's a perfect opportunity to parody the first few scenes of Season 5 Episode 11: "The One with All the Resolutions".
It's New Year's Eve in Michigan. Most of the people in the Loud House were pumped. Less than a minute remained.
"Alright," Clyde said. "2021. The year of Clyde".
"We're so happy for you," Benny said.
"What's wrong?" Clyde asked.
"We don't wanna be the only ones kissing at midnight".
Clyde stepped in to help.
When he asked Lincoln, he followed with, "You gotta kiss someone. Rocky and Benny are kissing 2 of your sisters".
"Aw nuts," Lincoln said.
He chose to kiss Stella. Stella thought it was too obvious to avoid asking.
Clyde then found Chloe and said he was gonna kiss her. Meanwhile, at the Casagrandes' apartment, Lori and Bobby had the same problem. They didn't wanna be the only ones kissing at midnight. Casey stepped in and helped.
"Hey Sameer," he said. "Everyone's gotta kiss someone. You can't kiss your aunt".
He chose to kiss Nikki, who too thought it was too obvious to avoid asking.
"Hey Ronnie," Casey said. "I'm gonna kiss you at midnight."
"What's wrong with Sameer?" Ronnie asked.
"He's kissing Nikki," Casey said. "Lori's kissing your brother, and you can't kiss Lincoln unless you want him to get bullied in school for it again".
"Aww nuts," Ronnie said.
"15 seconds!" Carlota said.
"Come on Ronnie," Casey said. "It's me or no one".
Everyone started letting their voices be heard.
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Happy New Year!"
Hugs, kisses, noise makers and cheering filled both homes.
"Happy new year babe," Bobby said.
"Happy new year boo-boo bear," Lori said.
"Happy new year, Stella," Lincoln said.
"Happy new year, Lincoln," Stella said.
"This is so awesome," Sam said.
"I know," Luna said. "Our first New Year's together. I love it".
They all loved it.
As the sun began shining, we now jump ahead to 7:30am on New Year's Day. Everyone was enjoying breakfast together.
"You know what?" Sam asked. "I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no more hiding back in '21. I'm gonna learn to come out of my shell more and stay open minded longer".
"Yeah," Lynn Junior said. "I'm stepping my soccer game up this year. It's gonna be awesome".
"Cool," Lincoln said. "This year, I am not gonna let as much bring me down. My New Year's resolution is to be happier with what happens around me".
"Like meeting princesses the same way Vanellope did in the movie, Ralph Breaks the Internet?" Leni asked.
"You know," Lincoln said. "Leni, maybe your New Year's Resolution should be to spoil less for other people".
"That's a good one," Lola said. "Lana and I planned ours out last night. Every week, we're gonna try something new that we thought we never did before".
"Maybe Luna can teach us how to play some of her own instruments," Lana said.
"Or Luan can teach us about practical jokes," Lola said.
"Great," Rita said. "Just keep them out of the house before someone gets hurt, got it?"
Luan got Leni to agree on betting $10 that she can go a week without spoiling anything. The bet was on.
Lynn Senior then suggested, "maybe one New Year's resolution most of you should have is to be less sour and negative around Lincoln and more caring and supportive".
That was one New Year's resolution both me and Lincoln approve of.
Meanwhile, at the Casagrandes' apartment, the gang was preparing to open the mercado.
"You know," Arturo said. "I'm going on the limb and saying no divorces in '21!"
He blew a noise maker he had from the party.
Casey commented, "you go dude. My New Year's resolution is to make some new friends".
"That is a great idea for a New Year's Resolution," Hector said. "I hear one new friend you could make loves dancing to slow jams of the 80s and 90s".
"Really?" Casey asked. "Does he also spread stories about other people around the building?"
"Yeah," Ronnie said. "He does. That reminds me. Abuelo, while my New Year's resolution is to improve my skateboarding skills, maybe your New Year's resolution should be to gossip less".
"I do not gossip that much," Hector said.
"Get real," Bobby said. "My New year's resolution is to improve on my guitar skills. Hopefully, I can make some of my own money with it".
"That would be so amazing," Adelaide said. "This year, I'm gonna keep working on my ballet dancing."
"And Ronnie and I are gonna keep working on our K-pop dancing," Sid said.
All these New Year's resolutions were well thought out and very well planned.
Hope all of you have a joyful start to the new year. Lord knows I might not. Who knows?
