Before anyone knew it two years had gone by and Sakura had turned eight on them "Lucky I still have four months to go until I turn a whole year older" Kiba whined, once they'd taken up their usual seats.
While waiting for Iruka to show up and begin their lesson "At l..least you don't have to wait until the end of th..the year like I do" Hinata placated as she pat the boy on the shoulder, their mutual best friend rolling her eyes at Kiba's whining.
"It's not that big of a difference you know, right Boei-kun" Sakura reached down to scratch the growing lynx on the head, he reached her knee's now, having had a growth spurt over the past year.
Akamaru on the other hand was still the same size as two years ago, upon being spoken to however Boei perked up "You are still my partner so what age you are doesn't matter to me" the lynx informed.
Capable of human speech now something that Sakura had worked on relentlessly with him, prompting Hinata to giggle as Kiba slammed his head on the desk, simply not able to win against the pinkette no matter how hard he tried.
The door to their classroom slid open and Kiba straightened in his seat as Iruka entered the room an extra on their heels "Everyone I'd like you to meet Mizuki, from now on he'll be helping me teach you so be kind to him" Iruka greeted.
Gesturing to the blue haired Chunin at his side, Mizuki as Iruka had called him bowed then sat down at the second desk that had been added, immediately pinning his gaze to a lone boy at the back of the class.
Naruto Uzumaki resident prankster and all around troublemaker but with that Iruka started their class, they'd been going over the third great ninja war lately which meant a test wasn't to far in their future.
Which also meant Sakura was scribbling down notes as she listened to Iruka attentively before the man handed the reigns over to Mizuki "Since I'm new here I thought I'd assign you all an essay to do in groups of two" Mizuki informed.
Refraining from glaring at the blonde in the back row, grumbles came from the slackers of the class i.e. Shikamaru, Choji and Naruto while Sakura lit up in excitement "Looks like we have an eager one, in that case I'll let you choose your partner" Mizuki saw and smiled lightly.
Sakura grinned and turned to Hinata, despite Kiba's sulking, Hinata seemed torn on the matter as well "Go ahead Sakura I know you want to partner up with Hinata" Kiba sighed, behaving maturely for once.
"Thanks Kiba and next time we have a project like this I'll partner up with you" Sakura announced, squeezing his hand gently beneath the desk before scooting closer to Hinata, decision made Mizuki called out random names.
Kiba got paired with Shino, Ino with Choji, Shikamaru with Sasuke, leaving one person "And since we have an odd number of students Naruto can join Sakura-chan's group and it's due tomorrow" Iruka chimed in, eyeing his friend weirdly.
When the man didn't call out the tricksters name, with that Mizuki went around assigning the subject each essay was to be on and Sakura's groups was lucky enough to be assigned to do a report on the history of the Uzumaki Clan.
So once classes ended for the day and before Naruto could escape Sakura gripped the back of the blondes shirt "Just where do you think your running off to Naruto" Sakura grinned widely, showing off her sharp canines.
Causing a shiver to roll through the blonde "Come on Sakura-chan let me go already I have places to be that don't involve doing dumb homework that Mizuki-sensei assigned" Naruto whined, being dragged along in spite of his feelings.
A fuschia brow twitched "Nope, your helping whether you want to or not because I refuse to get a bad grade just because you didn't do your part in researching for our essay" Sakura snorted harshly, Hinata following along at her side.
As they headed from the building and towards the gates of the academy to find "Genma-san" the rosette waved with her free hand, smiling wide and ignoring the quirked brow he was shooting her, no doubt wondering why she was dragging someone behind her.
"Care to share Kid oh by the way your spending the night, something about your parents being invited to attend a meeting with other merchants" Genma informed, pacing after the children as they headed in the opposite direction of his apartment with Hayate.
To the library "W..We have an essay to do on the history of the U..Uzumaki Clan..Sakura-chan and I are partners on this assignment an..and Naruto-kun got assigned t..to our group" Hinata answered the brunet.
Before glancing behind her at Ko who nodded and hurried down the streets to inform Hiashi of the group assignment that had been given as homework, by that point Naruto had pretty much given up on struggling out of Sakura's vice like grip.
Though he did try to bolt when he was deposited in a chair, Sakura bared her teeth at him "Don't make me tie you to the chair Naruto cause I will" Sakura threatened, maintaining eye contact with the blonde who scowled at her unhappily.
But remained seated while she and Hinata split up to search the library for any thing they could get their hands on that pertained to the almost extinct Uzumaki Clan, a few minutes later they were back at the table.
And Sakura put a book down in front of Naruto, he didn't move to open it so she bared her teeth at him "Okay, okay geez you know" Naruto whined pitifully as he grabbed the stupid book and opened it to read, wanting to get this stupid assignment over with as quickly as he could.
Since there was no chance for escape, especially with her watching him constantly, off to the side Genma chuckled under his breath more than use to his charges antics at this point, he'd even grown extremely fond of the girl to.
"Any of you have an idea on how you want to write the essay and what makes it a group project" Genma inquired, barely looking up as Ko rejoined them to keep an eye on Hinata while the kids were working on their assignment.
Sakura frowned at that "Well I thought that we could each take turns writing a paragraph but other than that I'm not sure why we had to do this in groups, but it was the new teachers idea and I love researching stuff so I don't mind" Sakura informed.
Genma raised a brow "H..His name is Mizuki, he just star..started today Shiranui-san" Hinata elaborated at the questioning look directed their way, Genma nodded in understanding and the kids resumed reading.
Until it was time to actually write out their essay and Sakura made Naruto go first who had the worst handwriting that she'd ever seen "At least it's legible…I think, sorry you know" Naruto scratched his head sheepishly.
Don't get him wrong he was still unhappy that he'd been dragged along to do homework but he had the sense to be embarrassed for his horrible chicken scratch "It's fine Naruto" Sakura waved her hand as she read over the paragraph.
Luckily she was able to read it which meant the teachers would be able to as well and with that wrote down what she'd learned about the Uzumaki clan followed by Hinata and then it was back to Naruto and so on until they had five pages written.
"S..See you tomorrow Sakura-chan, Naruto-kun" Hinata waved once the essay was done which meant it was time for her to go home, Sakura swiftly packed up everything including their assignment while Naruto zipped off not waiting for a verbal confirmation that he could leave.
In a matter of two minutes she and Genma were before his apartment "I hope I don't have to remind you to do the rest of your homework Kid" Genma said upon entering, Hayate was off on a mission so it was just him and her that evening.
Sakura shook her head "Not at all Genma-san" Sakura smiled, before taking a seat at the low table and dragging out the rest of her books to do the rest of her schoolwork, Genma in the meantime got started on dinner.
The pinkette finished before Genma did so reached over and tagged Boei with a mischievous smile, the lynx whipped around and without warning pounced knocking his partner over and pinning her down with his full weight.
Vermilion orbs narrowed at the challenge in his azure irises "Don't think you've won Boei-kun" Sakura grinned, wrapping her arms around the lynx and flipping them both over so that she was free and able to book it.
"Mischievous today are we Sakura" Boei asked, giving chase as the girl wanted, though they were both careful as they played about in the living room until Sakura had run out of excess energy by then supper was ready.
Genma shook his head in amusement when Sakura entered the kitchen, short pink hair disheveled with a bright look in her eyes "Have fun did you" Genma chuckled when she sat, gave her thanks for the food since he was already eating and then dug in.
A second later she bobbed her head eagerly in answer "Yes Genma-san lots of fun" Sakura declared but by the time she was done eating, Sakura seemed as if she was about to fall asleep so he sent her and Boei off to have a bath.
Before directing the kid to Hayate's room "Hayate won't be back for a week so go ahead and take his bed for the evening" Genma admitted, lifting the Kid up onto the mattress, Sakura lay down hesitantly as Boei jumped up onto the bed and joined her beneath the blanket.
Thankfully not long after Sakura fell asleep, Genma tucked her in more comfortably before exiting the bedroom and heading back into the kitchen to clean up and plot out tomorrow mornings breakfast and lunch.
And a few hours afterwards he hit the hay himself only to be woken the next morning at six by a scream, one that could only come from a girl, just as Sakura burst her way into his bedroom followed by a familiar shinobi.
"Kakashi what are you doing here and are you alright Kid, you weren't hurt were you" Genma inquired, frowning at the Jonin as Sakura clung to him and he was glad he'd decided to sleep in his clothes last night.
Because he'd thought Sakura would wake up and crawl into the futon instead of staying in Hayate's bed "He was in the bed with me" Sakura scowled at the silver haired man who'd scared the living daylights out of her.
Genma's frown deepened in response "The hell were you thinking sleeping in the same bed as a kid Kakashi" Genma questioned forcefully, his primary concern was Sakura after all and he wouldn't allow the girl to be hurt.
Kakashi sighed "I wasn't aware there was someone in the bed when I crawled into it alright and I think I more than paid for that mistake with the puncture wound she gave me with her nails on my stomach" Kakashi explained.
Lowering his hand for Genma to see the holes in Kakashi's shirt and the blood leaking out of them and Genma was torn on praising Sakura or scolding her "Be more aware then Kakashi or I'll hold you down and let her do a lot worse than that next time" Genma warned.
Before shooing the duo from his room so that he could change into clean clothes "Who is she anyway" Kakashi asked once the bleeding wounds were tended to, and they were crowded around the table while Genma cooked.
Doing something he always claimed to hate "Sakura Haruno or if you prefer Nekozuka, I'm the sole survivor of the Nekozuka Clan, Tsume-sama found me after the massacre and brought me here where I was adopted by the Haruno's, my mom and dad" Sakura informed.
Reaching down and patting Boei on the head "Ah so your the kid I've been hearing about that smashed my academy entrance test score but what I don't understand is why your here in Genma's apartment" Kakashi questioned.
Arching a silver brow at the girl "I'm a contracted babysitter for her, when Kizashi and Mebuki are busy and the reason we don't have these little sleep overs at her house is because of an incident two years ago involving a break in at her house" Genma answered.
Plating up the food and once he'd taken the first bite Sakura dug in followed by Boei "Okay and how exactly did you end up being her babysitter in the first place" Kakashi frowned, mask bunching up at the corners.
"Hokage-sama decided it would be a good idea when her parents went looking for one and over the past couple of years I've even grown fond of Sakura and her friends" Genma chuckled, standing now that they were done eating breakfast and cooking up lunch for the rosette.
Who stood and put her dishes in the sink and washed them as she'd gotten into the habit of doing so that he wasn't the sole person doing after meal cleanup "Friends you let her bring friends over here" Kakashi arched a silver brow.
Sakura nodded her head "Hinata-chan and Kiba-kun, their my two best friends" Sakura chimed in, answering before Genma could as she sat back down, waiting patiently for Genma to finish preparing her bento for lunch.
Twenty minutes later she was checking over her homework one last time "Just let me know how you do on that essay when you get the grade back alright Kid other than that have a good day" Genma waved.
Once the pinkette had packed away her things and taken the bento he held out to her with a polite thank you before bounding off with Boei on her heels until she was joined by Hinata and Ko "You really like her don't you Genma" Kakashi commented.
Genma snorted at him "Obviously Kakashi, even after I nearly screwed up that first time, I've since grown use to it and she's actually one of the most well behaved kids I've ever met" Genma informed, padding back into the kitchen to finish cleanup.
Meanwhile Sakura was showing Hinata their essay at the bluenette's request "T..Thank goodness I h..had a bad dream that it w..wasn't done" Hinata breathed a sigh of relief seeing that the assignment was completed.
Unlike her nightmare, missing Ko's amused smile as he trailed behind the two girls, listening to them chatter back and forth until they reached the academy "Ma says that she's got something special planned for our training session today" Kiba greeted.
After his friends took their seats in the classroom "Really…I can't wait then" Sakura bounced in excitement as Kiba nodded "So how was it doing an essay with Shino-san" Sakura asked, curious about the most silent boy in their class.
"Eh it was alright I guess, we went to his place to do it and luckily the subject we had was easy to research there, Ma nearly chewed me out for being late until Shino's old man explained since he walked me back to the compound" Kiba admitted.
Sakura seemed relieved by his answer making him realize that she'd been worried about whether or not if he'd be able to get along with Shino or vice versa and it warmed something deep inside of him making him glad that he had a friend like Sakura "What about you two, you had Uzumaki as part of your group right" Kiba questioned.
Returning the favor because he knew what Naruto was like "He tried to run as soon as class ended but I made him come with Hinata-chan and I to the library and though he whined about it, he did help, I'm pretty sure he's not my biggest fan however because of it" Sakura explained.
Pulling out said essay and placing it in front of her and Kiba couldn't help but stare in horror "I..Is something the matter Kiba-kun" Hinata asked seeing the brunet gaping at their essay before he pulled out his own to place in front of him.
It was there she saw the difference between their essays, as his was considerably shorter than theirs "Exactly how many pages did you write" Kiba asked, feeling sorry for Naruto somewhat for being placed in Sakura and Hinata's group.
"Five, Mizuki-sensei didn't set a limit on how many pages we could write after all and just two wouldn't properly explain anything about the history of the Uzumaki Clan" Sakura answered calmly not seeing the problem.
Kiba resisted the urge to bang his head on the desk, he did let out a sigh before straightening as Iruka and Mizuki entered the classroom to begin class for the day and the first thing that was mentioned were their essays after roll-call had been taken.
As Mizuki clapped his hands gaining their attention "Right please pass forward your essays and Iruka will grade them while I start off your lesson for the morning" Mizuki requested, the shuffling of paper was heard for the next few minutes until every essay had been collected.
By the end of class everyone was that much more informed about the history of some clans "Also we'll be having a test next Friday on the formation of the Anbu and Mission Rank System so make sure you study" Iruka warned.
Giving his students plenty of time to study for their test "Yo..You okay to make the study gu..guides again Sakura-chan" Hinata asked as they made their way to their next class, not that she had to worry any.
The pinkette was their best bet at studying properly for any test or exam they had to take "Absolutely and if you need something to appease Hyuga-sama tell him I'll train with you on my off days to make up for the days we study" Sakura announced.
Knowing that her friends father was very strict on his daughter "I'll let Ma know about the test as well then" Kiba said, wanting to do his part in ensuring he had the best grades he could possibly get so that he wouldn't be separated from the two kunoichi in training.
Because they all had plans to hopefully be on the same team as genin when they graduated "Al..Alright then I..I'll be sure to tell Father" Hinata said with a nod as they arrived to their next class and took their usual seats.
And then their classes were over "See you tomorrow Hinata-chan" Sakura waved, on Kiba's heels that day, midway there however they were stopped by a road block, said road block being the man who'd scare her out of her wits that morning.
"Hold up there Sakura-chan, where are you off to in such a hurry, in fact shouldn't you be heading home to your parents" Kakashi appeared in front of the pinkette who had to stop moving or else run head first into the man.
Seeing that she wasn't following him anymore "Come on Sakura or we'll be late and you don't want an angry Ma after ya" Kiba shouted over his shoulder not stopping for the rosette in the least unfortunately.
Sakura huffed up at the Jonin "Training, my parents aren't expecting me back until later, Mr. Hatake" Sakura informed, going around the man and dashing after Kiba, Boei on her heels so that they hopefully weren't late.
Confused, Kakashi followed Sakura all the way to the Inuzuka Compound where she was ushered through the gates and curious decided to sneak in himself in order to find out what was going on and why Tsume was training the little girl.
And upon arrival he hid himself in a tree and cloaked his scent and chakra in order to watch "Good your both here, first before we get to the exciting part of our training session I want you two to run ten laps around the track, Boei, Akamaru join them" Tsume barked.
Instructing the brats do their warm ups first along with the companions, Boei was the more energetic of the two as he shot forth and swiftly passed Sakura who let a toothy smile form on her face as she raced after him.
Bypassing Kiba in the process, the brunet let out a laugh and sped up himself and the two children finished their laps in record time, Kakashi was extremely surprised to be honest "Nice work brats" Tsume whistled appreciatively.
Pleased the two kids made teaching them easy for her "Yeah nice work having my butt kicked by Sakura" Kiba scoffed good-naturedly, and snickered as he dodged the playful swipe from said girl at his teasing.
Tsume rolled her eyes and cleared her throat loudly when Sakura opened her mouth to say something in response only to pause at the warning look "So Kiba said that you had something special planned for today Tsume-sama" Sakura inquired.
Instantly becoming obedient for the woman "Correct…I asked your parents for permission Stray so today your going to learn the tree climbing exercise, Pup you'll learn it as well and once you have it down, we'll get to the extra special part of today's training" Tsume declared.
Directing the two towards a small copse of tree's and Kakashi nearly intervened right then and there as the kids stared up at the trees warily until Sakura squared her shoulders and brought her hands together in order to focus her chakra.
Where a blue glow formed at the soles of her feet before nodding decisively and after getting a running start practically went straight up the tree "Whoa" Sakura gasped, swinging herself onto a branch, jade eyes glittering with excitement.
Tsume stared up at her with pride before she turned her gaze onto Kiba who gulped and concentrated as Sakura had to gather chakra into his feet, got a running start like the rosette had and promptly rolled back down the tree.
Sakura watching with knowing eyes until Kiba finally got to frustrated "Okay what am I doing wrong Ma" Kiba turned to his Mother who undoubtedly knew what he was doing wrong as well as Sakura probably did.
"Concentrate more chakra Pup but remember to not add to much or else you'll be pushed off the tree" Tsume relented, giving the boy the answer to his current problem since he had asked like a good brat and twenty minutes later Kiba could successfully execute the exercise.
So now it was time to move on to the fun stuff "First perform your four legged jutsu's Stray, Pup and then I want you to climb those posts and practice jumping from post to post and you can't fall or else you'll be running laps, one for every time you fall" Tsume ordered.
Explaining the goal of their training session "Also who ever lasts the longest gets a reward" Tsume added, to give the kids some incentive to do well, Kiba grinned and weaved the hand signs to the four legged dog technique, his features became more wild immediately.
While Sakura performed her own clan jutsu much calmer "Ninja Art: Four Legged Cat Jutsu" Sakura called out, adjusting to her heightened senses quickly as opposed to how it use to be when it had taken her awhile to adjust.
With that done she and Kiba headed for the posts and climbed atop them "Darn it" Kiba whined five minutes later as he missed and fell, thankfully they weren't very high but now he had to go run a lap because he'd fallen.
To his absolute frustration Sakura didn't fall once by the end of their training session thanks to her tail that swished back and forth, helping to keep her balance as she hopped from post to post, while he fell about five times during the whole session "Well done you two" Tsume praised.
Once Kiba and Sakura were before her "And for your reward Sakura gets a pack of new weapons since you've been needing some and Kiba you get some soldier pills" Tsume handed over the rewards having already intending on giving them both something for doing well.
"Pink Pup are you ready to return home" Kuromaru growled, bending down a little for the girl to climb onto his back, Sakura, her features having returned to normal as she undid her jutsu carefully climbed onto the large ninken.
And let out a whoop of excitement as Kuromaru took off, he didn't slow down and with a mighty leap scaled the wall of the Inuzuka Compound and landed neatly on the outside, Boei hot on their heels as they raced across the village to the civilian section to Sakura's home.
Unbeknownst to them Kakashi was following along curiously never having seen Tsume's ninken take such a shining to a child before or let any child ride upon his back "Thanks Kuromaru-san" Sakura exclaimed once they'd reached her house.
And she'd slid from the ninken's back in a smooth movement, Kuromaru bowed his massive head and was gone a second later over the rooftops "Let us go in Sakura" Boei purred as he rubbed against his partner.
With that Sakura turned and twisted the doorknob to let herself into the house "Welcome back home sweetie, how did training go today, Inuzuka-sama did teach you that exercise didn't she" Mebuki greeted.
When her daughter entered the living room, Boei at her side as was the usual nowadays "Yes Mom, Kiba and I got it down quickly, I did it in one try and Kiba took about seven tries before he got it and then we got to use our jutsu's to practice balance" Sakura chattered.
Taking a seat next to her father on the couch who was currently engrossed in work, crunching numbers for their business "That's great Blossom" though Kizashi did take a moment to praise her and ruffle her hair affectionately.
Sakura beamed brightly in response before neatly sitting on the floor and pulling out her homework so that she'd get it all done, meanwhile her mother had stood and disappeared into the kitchen to get started on dinner for the lot of them.
Before the Haruno's knew it, the day had drawn to an end and Sakura was ushered off for bath time where the loving couple tucked their daughter into bed once she was squeaky clean, they also held up the blanket for Boei to cuddle with his partner as they whispered goodnight tidings.
Flipping off the lights and closing the door to Sakura's bedroom so that she could sleep without being disturbed, she slept the whole night through and the following morning after breakfast headed off for the academy.
However when their sensei arrived to start class and their essays from the day before were returned Sakura and Hinata got a huge shock "Only a C m..minus but wh..why so low a g..grade" Hinata stuttered in confusion.
The pinkette at her side to upset to even speak "I'm gonna talk to Iruka-sensei this isn't right, we put in the work, even did five pages for the essay so I want to know exactly what we, you, Naruto and I did wrong that got us this grade" Sakura frowned.
Worried for the first time since she'd started at the academy, if her grades started slipping they might throw her out and make her start all over as a first year "Well just try not to be late to Math Class then Sakura, Hinata" Kiba said.
Not wanting his friends to get in trouble and as promised after class ended Sakura and Hinata approached Iruka, Mizuki off elsewhere "Shouldn't you be heading for Math, Sakura-chan, Hinata-chan" Iruka quirked a brow.
Spying two of his best students standing before his desk "Um I just had a question Iruka-sensei, how come we got a C on our essay" Sakura placed said essay down in front of the man who frowned in confusion.
"Ah Mizuki-kun graded your essay….hold on a minute there seems to be a note, saying that he knows that you did all the work and that Naruto-kun didn't do any of it so that's why he graded so low" Iruka shuffled through the stack and found a note on the last page.
The two best friends shared a confused look "But th..that's not true Iruka-sensei, N..Naruto-kun did help you can ask Shiranui-san, he was in the lib..library with us" Hinata explained, inwardly wondering what was going on.
Why on earth did the new sensei think that Naruto had not helped when he most definitely had especially after Sakura had dragged him across the village to the library "Huh well that doesn't make much sense, and now that I'm looking at it I do see Naruto-kun's distinctive handwriting" Iruka mused.
Ultimately he decided to change the grade to an A plus and sent the girls off to their next class so they weren't late while inwardly promising to speak to his friend about making sure to get his facts straight.
Sakura was never so glad when classes ended for the day "To your house to study for our test next Friday right Sakura" Kiba cheered, knowing that he wouldn't be able to concentrate on his or Hinata's who had it rough.
"F..Father says that he expects you to keep your promise of t..training with me after our test is done and over with" Hinata reminded, happy that she was allowed to do normal things like study for tests with her friends.
Ever since Sakura had stumbled into her life, Hiashi hadn't been near as strict on her as he had been before "Of course Hinata-chan" Sakura bobbed her head in answer, breaking a promise with the Hyuga Patriarch was like blasphemy to her.
Just then a orange and yellow blur barreled into the pinkette, knocking Sakura over to lay sprawled out on the ground "Uzumaki what the hell watch where your going idiot" Kiba growled, yanking Naruto up off his friend.
Who laid there on the ground with a dazed look in her eyes "I'm sorry" Naruto blurted, hastily trying to help the rosette back up onto her feet, by the time that she was stood steadily again it was to late for him to start running again.
As Mizuki appeared "Did you just happen to forget that you have detention Uzumaki" Mizuki glared at the little blonde, hating the monster brat even more that he'd proven to be an nuisance in the classroom so far.
Naruto fidgeted nervously before squaring his shoulders "I didn't do nothing, it was Ami's fault" he intoned defiantly not wanting to be in trouble for something that wasn't even his doing that time around.
Mizuki didn't believe him one bit however "You know Mizuki-sensei, Naruto might not be wrong, Ami does get people purposefully in trouble sometimes" Sakura piped in as she dusted her clothes off and met the gaze of the Chunin.
"Are you sticking up for him Haruno" Mizuki asked incredulously, scowling inwardly that someone was protecting the fox brat, even more that it was the best student in class, according to Iruka anyway.
Sakura glanced between the new sensei and the blonde that she wasn't really friends with before shrugging "Yeah I guess I am Mizuki-sensei and to appease you I'll make him study all week for next Friday's test" Sakura answered.
Ignoring Naruto's groan as she gripped the back of his orange monstrosity so he couldn't flee "He better get at least a B on that test then" Mizuki warned, so tempted to sneer at the brats even if they didn't know any better about how the blonde was a monster and that they should stay away from him.
With that he turned on his heels and was gone but Sakura didn't relent with her hold on Naruto who complained the whole way to her house "Now who do we have he…." Kizashi greeted seeing the extra in the group of his daughter's friends.
Only to freeze mid sentence as he recognized the blonde "Dad this is Naruto, he's gonna study with us so he gets a good grade on his test" Sakura declared, making the boy sit down before taking a seat in between Hinata and Kiba as usual.
Kizashi frowned worriedly, watching for anything suspicious as the kids got to work and started studying and as promised Sakura wrote out another study guide for Naruto so that he could appropriately study for their test.
After twenty minutes Kizashi was assured that nothing bad was going to happen and realized that Naruto was a kid just like every other kid as he moaned and groaned and complained but one look from Sakura shut him up as he flipped through the pages of their books.
Even Mebuki calmed as she brought out drinks and a little snack for the kids to tide them over "Thank you Mrs. Haruno" Naruto chimed in with Hinata and Kiba in thanks for the snack, before thoroughly the light meal.
"No problem Naruto-kun, your more than welcome" Mebuki ruffled the boys hair gently then vanished back into the kitchen to make dinner for the children who would no doubt be hungry after studying for so long.
Until supper was ready and afterwards Kiba and Hinata went home followed by Naruto, though he left a lot more reluctantly than the other two, the Haruno family watched him go with frowns "I think he's being treated unfairly" Sakura commented.
Both Father and Mother looked at her in confusion "What do you mean Sakura-chan" Mebuki inquired as she started cleaning up the table, husband and child helping out something she was immensely grateful for.
"Well I know he's a huge prankster but it doesn't make sense for the dislike he gets from the general population of the village, like today for example we got our essay back and the new sensei had assumed that Naruto didn't help on so gave us a poor grade" Sakura said.
The frowns on her parents faces wasn't very encouraging "Really….now that is odd, and did this new sensei even ask you if he'd helped" Kizashi questioned, starting to wonder if they had it all wrong about Naruto Uzumaki.
He'd been perfectly well behaved for the most part after all, had even thanked them for dinner "No, Hinata-chan and I talked to Iruka-sensei about it and then on our way here, Mizuki-sensei was chasing Naruto and there was this hateful look in his eyes and he smelled of anger" Sakura admitted.
Another frown formed on their faces "Keep an eye out then blossom now off with you for a bath and we'll be up once your done to tuck you in for the night" Kizashi shooed his daughter off up the stairs.
"Should we mention her suspicion to Lord Hokage or perhaps Tsume-sama" Mebuki asked, worried for a child who seemed to be getting treated cruelly, Kizashi didn't know how to answer his wife but soon after they were tucking their daughter in to bed and going to sleep themselves for the night.
