Later, Ryder was back in the command center where Catarlas were still being held in their cell.
"So, did you figure something out?" asked the leader.
"I think so, but I need to test it on one of you to make sure," said Ryder as he placed a case with a syringe in it down on a table.
"I'm responsible for these men, so use me," said the leader.
"Please move into this second cage," said Ryder as he placed it next to the original, causing the connected walls to vanish.
"This for your protection?" asked the leader as he moved cells. Once they were separated, the two walls reappeared in an instant.
"For everyone's, I don't know how you will react to this, you could harm yourself or others if the reaction is bad," said Ryder as he took the syringe out of the case. He then opened a small section of the cell for the Catarla to stick his arm out.
"By the way, I don't know your name," said Ryder as he gave the alien the injection.
"Our names do not translate into human languages," said the leader as he pulled his arm back into the cell. Rubbing the area that the injection had gone into as it burned a little.
"Hope you don't mind me calling you Razer then, that way I can talk to you better," said Ryder as he put the syringe away.
"That's fine with me; and how fast should this take effect?" asked Razer.
"Any minute now," said Ryder.
"I hope this works, but I'm doubting Captain Whiskers will trust you or even us now that we've been captured," said Razer.
"Guess we'll have to find a way to introduce it to everyone in one go, because it worked," said Ryder as he showed Razer his tablet which showed improving vitals.
"You're not kidding are you?" asked Razer with a stunned expression.
"I'm not, and now that I know it's safe on one of you I can start giving it to the others, slowly in case there is a side effect for another," said Ryder as he looked at the other Catarlas.
