"Previously, on Total Drama Revenge of the Cruise Ship..." Chris began to recap, sitting in the cafeteria eating a normal looking sundae. "Hola, our travellers travelled to Mexico! Some danced, some failed harder than geeks on prom night, but none of it was anything good. Those that made it through the dancing had to search through avocados to find empty ones, then take a footrace to a statue on the Malecon boardwalk! Marty and his alliance were able to take out Richard at long last with the help of Alex, who now has his eyes set on Noah after some things were said that shouldn't have been said. Will Noah be able to skate through another episode? Will Max get a grip on reality finally? Find out right here, on Total, Drama, Revenge of the Cruise Ship!"
Raphael was out on the deck of the ship taking his usual morning walk when things quickly turned very foggy outside. The ship had just entered the Bermuda Triangle, and the fog didn't seem to be the main problem as well. The ship began to shake and steer randomly, swaying in a way that threw Raphael off balance and fall onto his back. "Jeez, what the heck is going on? Did Chef fall asleep at the wheel?" Raphael asked himself as he stood back up and grabbed onto the railing to maintain his balance.
In the girls' room, the sudden shaking woke all of them up, even making those on the bottom bunks literally roll out of bed. "Oh no, the boat is sinking!" Amber began to panic as she got up from the floor and grabbed onto the ladder leading to the top bunk.
Valerie stayed on her bed, hanging onto the railing of the top bunk while looking down. "Calm down Amber. If this ship goes down, Chris would go down too, and it's not like he would let that happen." Valerie tried to assure Amber of their safety and make a joke at the same time, which helped plenty to calm her.
"You're right, Chris puts himself first, so as long as he's on the ship with us, we're safe too." Amber sighed with relief, now starting to change into her normal clothes to get ready for the day.
Brinley was a little shaken by the rude awakening still, but she was sure that they were safe as well. "Yeah, but wait, what if someone fell off the ship!? Quick head count, just to be safe." Brinley said as she began to count for all the girls that were still in the game, minus Wolfy who was still in the hangout room. "Yvette isn't here! Oh no, I seriously doubt that string bean would be able to handle the shaking. Maybe we should look for her?" Brinley suggested after accounting for everyone else.
There were only six girls left in the competition, so it wasn't hard to keep track of all of them. "Good idea. Val, you wanna go search with me? There aren't many places she could be." Amber asked Valerie now that she had finished changing, a bit worried for Yvette. They had talked plenty of times, and she wouldn't wish being sent overboard on anyone.
Valerie shrugged, walking out of their room slowly to keep her balance with all of the shaking. It was like an earthquake was going on, so it was hard to move around without falling over. "Sure. Chef's breakfast is probably super messy now, so I'd rather just wait before having to eat that crap." Valerie agreed to help search, so Amber followed her out and the two began their walk around the deck.
Alex was in the hangout room with Wolfy, so the rest of the boys all suffered a similar rude awakening that the girls had to deal with. "Shut up you foul earthquake! The evil is trying to get it's sleep!" Max yelled, clutching his blanket tightly and trying to continue sleeping.
Noah rolled his eyes at Max's complaints, stretching after getting out of bed and then leaning on the wall of their room to stay balanced. "Hey Dr. Evil, if there was an earthquake, we would all be dead. An actual earthquake in the ocean would cause a tsunami and drown us all. I'd probably still take that over spending another minute listening to you." Noah said, in a bit of a less friendly mood compared to yesterday. He already wasn't openly friendly, and after getting nearly eliminated for opening up more, he wasn't looking to be nice any time soon.
Marty and Tristan got out of bed at around the same time, changing out of their pajamas shortly after Noah told off Max. "Does Chef know how to steer this thing? It's like he put the ship on autopilot or something." Marty asked, grabbing onto the bed so he wouldn't fall over.
Tristan put his hat on and yawned, not at all suprised the ship was having problems. "Chef probably doesn't have any kind of license to do anything. So I'm just suprised that it took this long for Chef to mess up." Tristan said, casually walking out of the room without a problem.
-Confessional: Tristan-
"A bumpy boat freaks all of them out? Wow. Where I'm from, these guys wouldn't even be able to make their way up a half-pipe, let alone go down. Anyway, a bit bummed Richard went out last night, but that won't stop me. Noah is easy fodder now. Once he's gone, I can probably single out Katniss or Yvette. Both of them have pretty much no allies left. I'm not sure where to go from there honestly. The other people are pretty tough cookies, except for Max. But Max is an easy vote, so I'm not going to get rid of him just yet."
-End Confessional-
In the captain's room, Chris and Chef were currently having trouble trying to regain control of the ship. "I thought you said you could steer this thing!" Chris yelled at Chef, trying to hold onto his coffee cup while Chef was trying to stabilize the ship.
Chef was flicking the autopilot switch on and off repeatedly, trying to gain control still. "The autopilot is broken, I ain't getting paid to drive a ship, so we might as well be on a sinking ship!" Chef yelled back at Chris, having almost no idea how to actual handle a cruise ship.
Then came some knocking on the door of the captain's room, which didn't help Chris keep his cool at all. "Oh great, the kids are here now! I'll handle them now, you keep trying to steer this thing!" Chris told Chef, while he then walked off towards the door and left to take care of explaining everything.
Just as Chris left the room, one of the air vents in the captain's room that came from the engine room rattled for a second, something going on down there. Chef turned around to look at what it was, but a shadowy figure jumped out at him before he could even react and the footage from inside the captain's room quickly cut out.
"So what's the deal with the ship Chris man? You're freaking out everyone else!" Tristan asked, with Raphael and Brinley behind him. No one knew what was going on, so they were reasonably upset.
Chris scrambled to think up an answer, but he wouldn't have to stall for long as a loud scream came from inside the captain's room. "Chef!? Are you alright man!?" Chris asked, grabbing the door handle and trying to pull it, but it was now locked.
More panic spread across everyone after hearing Chef scream, and there was no response after that. "Okay, nobody panic. He could have just spilled coffee on himself or something. So everyone stay calm and just gather up in the cafeteria." Chris said, then grabbing his walkie-talkie out of his pocket and setting it to go to the loudspeakers. "Everyone, go to the cafeteria, NOW!" he ordered, before going back to trying to get the door open.
Raphael, Tristan, and Brinley entered the cafeteria almost right away, where Yvette was already sitting at her usual spot tinkering with another new gadget. "It's odd, first the ship goes through irregular movements, then Chris calls us all here. Did something happen?" Yvette asked the three as they walked inside, looking rather scared herself.
Tristan shrugged as he and Brinley sat across from her while Raphael sat down next to her. "I dunno. Chef screamed in the captain's room and Chris couldn't get the door open, so I think he called us all here to see if he can figure out who was in there with Chef." Tristan replied, which further worried Yvette, but she just adjusted her glasses and brought her focus back to her gizmo.
All 12 players soon were in the cafeteria, with Alex and Wolfy showing up last as they were in the hangout room when the call was made. "Oh, there you are Yvette! You had us worried!" Amber gave Yvette a quick hug and sat down on the other side of her.
"Worried about me? Well thank you, but I was merely working on my latest gadget in the safety of the cafeteria." Yvette stated, showing what she had been making so far. It looked to be another kind of controller, but a bit bigger than her last one.
Brinley saw it and leaned forward on the table in curiousity, wondering what it was for. "So what's it for? A remote controlled toy or something?" Brinley asked, as it resembled a game console controller with an antenna on top.
Yvette shook her head, connecting two wires onto the motherboard while doing so. "It's a controller than can completely control Pahkitew Island. After I repaired Chris's discarded controller, I realized just how easy it was to make another. The previous one only controlled certain elements, like the ones in the finale, but this one can control just about anything." Yvette explained, being very careful with what she was moving.
Brinley giggled, half amused and half impressed by Yvette's work. "Well that's something. You're not going to go crazy and try to take control of everything like that crazy Scarlett chick right? Just kidding, I know no one's that stupid to try that." Brinley jokingly asked, but only her and Amber laughed.
"No. Of course I wouldn't." Yvette answered the joke question bluntly, making Brinley groan in annoyance.
-Confessional: Brinley-
"Yvette may be super smart and stuff, but man does she have zero social skills. I thought that was a good joke, since y'know, it was a controller for Pahkitew. Oh well, I guess that's just how trying to be funny around nerds goes."
-Confessional: Amber-
"I feel kind of bad for Yvette honestly. For how much she knows, she cannot get out that much. She doesn't really pick up on humor, she doesn't try to socialize that much, so I can imagine she's been pretty lonely. Richard was probably her only close friend she had, but now he's gone. I don't see her lasting much longer with her allies gone."
-End Confessionals-
Chris walked into the cafeteria after a few minutes, his signature smile back on his face. "Sorry for the delay, Chef was able to get the door open and we got everything sorted out. We'll be arriving at our destination shortly, and Chef is now driving the boat manually, since the autopilot gave out. That's what all the shaking earlier was." Chris explained, making Yvette raise her hand.
Chris rolled his eyes, before deciding to let her speak. "What obscure info that no one cares about do you have this time?" Chris asked her, ready for whatever pointless info it was going to be.
"This isn't obscure, but something you should know about our location. You've likely been using autopilot this entire time, and in a largely uncharted part of the ocean, it will not function properly. The autopilot did not give out, you just took the ship into uncharted territory." Yvette explained, which was somehow even worse to Chris than pointless information.
"That would have been nice to know earlier, but what's done is done. Sit tight and help yourselves to whatever is in Chef's fridge. We don't have time to cook today due to our technical difficulties." Chris told them, pointing to the fridge just behind the counter where the contestants normally got their food.
Of course, the first person to run to the kitchen was Katniss, throwing the fridge door open and taking all of the frozen meat right away. "I got some steak Noah! Want some?" she asked Noah as she ran over to him, making him facepalm.
He took one of the slabs of meat, motioning for her to follow him and headed back into the kitchen. "You have to heat these up first Katniss, unless you're trying to get sick. Then by all means, go ahead and eat that frozen meat." Noah told her, looking around for a microwave.
While the two of them walked off further into the kitchen, everyone else just lined up to get something to just hold them over. Crackers, bread, chips, fruits, and other things that didn't need to be heated up. Alex, Tristan, Brinley, and Marty all sat down with each other, ready to talk some more strategy. "So how do you think we should take care of Noah?" Alex asked the group, since Noah wasn't nearby.
Marty wasn't too big of a fan of the idea to go after Noah, so he right away had questions. "Why are we going after Noah in the first place? He isn't that athletic, and he hasn't done anything to us either. He voted for Richard like we wanted, so what's the point in trying to get rid of him?" Marty asked back, starting to eat a slice of bread.
Alex shook his head right away, very adamant about taking out Noah. "He was spreading rumors about us to Amber to try and turn her and Valerie against us. He has to go." Alex answered, tapping a finger on the table.
Brinley shrugged, not really caring too much. "I'm cool with it. He was on the Aftermath show, so he probably has a ton of dirt on everyone." Brinley added, a certain piece of dirt worrying her that she planned on keeping buried.
Hearing that point, both Marty and Tristan nodded in agreement now. "That's a pretty big deal, so I guess we'll send the dork packing then. We just need two other votes to get rid of him right?" Tristan asked, also having some dirt he wanted to keep buried.
Alex nodded in response to his question while eating a couple of crackers, glad that things wouldn't require much convincing. "Well just one other vote really, I have Wolfy on our side, so we just have to figure out who else would want him- actually let's just get Max. Yeah. Tell him that Noah is trying to be more evil or something." Alex answered his own question, realizing just how easy this was.
Wolfy had just gotten her snack to hold her over, being a small box of raisins. She walked over to the alliance meeting since Alex was with them, giving a quick wave. "Hi! Whatcha guys talking about?" she greeted them cheerfully, sitting down next to Alex.
"Just talking about Noah. He's got a ton of dirt on everyone since he's probably seen what's been going on before he came on the show. We're voting him off tonight." Brinley waved back at Wolfy, then taking a bite of an apple.
Wolfy didn't see anything wrong with him, but of course since they were just openly talking in the cafeteria, some of the others had heard what they were talking about. Aside from Noah and Katniss who were still trying to find a microwave. "What possible foul evidence could he have against you Brinley?" Yvette asked as she walked by the end of the table, noticing that the possibility of dirt was brought up twice.
Brinley shrugged, pretending as though there was nothing. "Oh nothing for me, I just meant more generally." Brinley quickly responded, getting a little nervous.
Yvette adjusted her glasses, thinking for a moment. "Well if Noah has seen what the events that we haven't, then we can presumably find out what really happened with Summer's elimination if we were to ask him yes?" Yvette asked, which caught Marty's interest now.
Marty's eyes practically lit up at the idea, getting up from his seat. "Oh yeah, him and Max saw what happened in the episode, so maybe they know! We avenged Matias already, so now we'll be able to avenge Summer! Good thinking!" Marty exclaimed, before hurrying off into the kitchen to find Noah. Brinley squirmed in her seat now, trying to hide her nervousness while Yvette simply walked away to go and sit down with Max.
-Confessional: Wolfy-
"I am so lost with what's going now... one day me and Alex are working together, now he's got himself an empire with the same alliance he was trying to break down earlier! Should I be worried?"
-End Confessional-
Max hadn't grabbed anything for himself, so Yvette brought him some toaster-tarts to eat to hold him over until they arrived at their next stop for their challenge. "Hungry Max?" she asked him, holding one out for him to take.
The villain's grumpy disposition quickly changed as he was offered the toaster-tart, taking it with a smile. "Thank you minion, I was rather hungry, so this offering will suffice for my evil plans!" Max thanked her and then took a bite.
Yvette took a bite of her own and was about to talk to him, but Max spat out the piece of toaster tart he ate onto the floor, now trying to wipe off his tongue. "Blueberry! I'm allergic! Why must blueberries be in every breakfast food!?" Max yelled at the toaster tart, then throwing it in the trash.
Amber and Valerie giggled together as they watched Max, although pretty much anyone would have laughed being that it was Max of all people. The villain wannabe heard them and stormed over angrily, pointing at finger at the two. "How dare you laugh at me! You will suffer at my hands before you know it!" Max yelled at them, but neither girls stopped their laughter.
Amber was the first to eventually stop, not threatened by him in the slightest. "Don't try to be intimidating Max, you just make yourself look even more pathetic!" Amber told him, holding back further laughter.
Max grumbled, crossing his arms angrily. "Fine, I will leave you two alone, but don't forget what you just did, it will be your undoing!" Max warned them as he stormed back over to where he was sitting earlier and down, keeping a glare at the two girls the entire time.
Soon after, the loudspeaker blared and Chris's voice came up again. "Alright travellers! We have reached our destination! I think. So make your way to the off ramp for today's challenge!" Chris announced, for once not using his megaphone as well, which was a welcome change of pace.
Pretty much everyone had eaten a little something, so they all left the cafeteria to see Chris standing in front of the off ramp that led to a beach on an island that wasn't very large in size. "Welcome to Nonsuch Island! Yes, that's really it's name. We were supposed to head to California for today's challenge, but they're not really keen on cruise ships showing up, so we came to the Bermuda Triangle instead!" Chris introduced their location, before leading everyone down.
On the beach, two familiar co-hosts of the Aftermath were waiting with one surfboard each in their arms, as well as a rack of 12 surfboards in plain solid colors. "Hi everyone! We'll be hosting today's episode!" Bridgette waved at the players, which instantly relieved some of them.
"Why aren't you hosting Chris? Haven't you constantly said that you're the only one who can host?" Amber asked, remembering all the times she and others were interrupted and insulted for correcting him or just adding facts.
Chris shrugged, walking back onto the off ramp now that all the contestants were on the beach. "I've got some uhh... stuff to work out with Chef and our current situation to get out of here. It's grown up stuff, and you won't be having it easy either! These guys have been hosting for a while anyway, so zip it!" Chris answered somewhat angrily before hurrying back onto the cruise ship and to the captain's room.
-Confessional: Raphael-
"I would prefer to be optimistic about something like this, but there is no way that this would be part of a challenge if Chris was going to leave things to Bridgette and Geoff. He loves torturing us, so why would he give that up unless something was actually wrong!"
-End Confessional-
As soon as Chris was gone, the whole seriousness and the 'not having it easy' vibe immediately dropped as Geoff raised a fist into the air. "You dudes ready to party it up!? Now that Chris is gone, we're gonna chillax and have a wicked beach episode!" Geoff exclaimed, getting some cheers from the contestants.
Bridgette gestured to the off ramp, where Kenny the intern was bringing down a dressing rack with the contestant's swimsuits. "We'll even let you guys change, that way you'll actually be able to have fun. This is still a challenge, unfortunately Chris wouldn't let us make this a reward challenge, so you'll all still have to be at the top of your game!" Bridgette told them, to which everyone grabbed their swimsuits and ran off to change.
-Confessional: Valerie-
Valerie was sitting in her swimsuit now, being a red bikini with orange and gold triangles on the top. "A beach day huh? We've been to like three beaches already, but this is a real beach day! I'm glad that perv is gone, or he would've been eyeing me up the whole time!"
-Confessional: Yvette-
Yvette was wearing a scarlet wetsuit, looking very uncomfortable. "I am not very fond of spending elongated periods of time on a beach. You're likely to get sunburnt, swimsuits show off skin unneccesarily, and I am forced to wear something that Scarlett never did on screen. On Pahkitew Island, the plane blew up with all their belongings, so we never got to see them. I have this wetsuit made with this specific shade to honor her however, so I hope that's enough."
-Confessional: Katniss-
Katniss was wearing a bikini with a leopard pattern that resembled typical loincloths, somehow showing off more than Valerie was. "I'm from Bermuda actually! What would Noah call that, uhh, home disadvantage? Oh no wait! Home advantage! Yeah! I got this one!"
-Confessional: Marty-
Marty was wearing blue swim trunks with lime stripes going along the sides, with an eager smile on his face. "I wasn't able to find Noah in the kitchen to talk to him alone, but I know for sure that Geoff and Bridgette would know what happened with Summer. It's just me, Brinley, and Tristan left in our alliance, and I guess Alex is a part of it now too, but we'll make sure that whoever got you kicked off will pay!"
-End Confessionals-
Once all of the contestants had changed, they all gathered back up on the beach where Geoff and Bridgette had just finished setting up a volleyball net and a limbo bar. "Sup dudes! So here's the challenge is gonna work, you are all gonna surf it up, then see how low you can go, then end it all with a volleyball game!" Geoff explained in his own words, which was somehow more vague than Chris's usual introductions.
Bridgette saw how confused some of the contestants were, so she quickly stepped forward to explain the challenge again. "Basically, you'll all take turns surfing to see who can make it through a wave. Then if you make it through that, we'll have you go under a limbo bar to decide who will be in the final round, which is a two versus two game of volleyball. Does anyone have any questions?" Bridgette asked, to which there weren't any.
Since there weren't any questions, the two co-hosts led everyone over to the rack of surfboards, with one in each color of the rainbow, plus some extra shades in between each. "You'll all pick a surfboard for the challenge, which you'll get to keep even after the show ends. Just a small prize for making it this far! Once you pick your board, meet us at the water okay?" Bridgette instructed, before walking away with Geoff. The two of them had their personalized surfboards, which they put on the water and sat down on.
Right away, Yvette grabbed the board in between red and orange before anyone else could even think of which one to go with. "Hmm, this is #e34234... it will suffice." she said, then walking off to join the co-hosts.
Amber and Valerie took the red and orange boards, the color not mattering very much to them. "Do you know how to surf at all Val?" Amber asked, not having a clue how to even hold the board.
Valerie shook her head, turning around the board in her hands a couple of times to figure out which way was forward for the board. "No idea, I'm probably just going to sit down on it and hope for the best." Valerie replied, not too worried despite not knowing how to ride a surfboard.
Max walked by them with a confident smirk, carrying a purple surfboard that matched both this hair and his purple speedo. "You better hope for the best! For I will destroy you both!" Max let out a sinister cackle after warning them, getting an eyeroll from both.
-Confessional: Valerie-
"Now that the perv is gone, I thought things were going to actually enjoyable, but nope, now Max is bugging the crap out of me. At least Richard kept to himself sometimes. Katniss is acting like a normal person now, so I don't really see a need to go for her."
-Confessional: Amber-
Amber was wearing a black and white zig zag patterned one piece and a pair of dark sunglasses, looking cheerful. "Today is going to be a fun day, didn't think I was going to say that! Max is going to flop hard this challenge, then he'll get the boot tonight. So I'll just kick back and relax today. Even if I don't win, it's not like I'm at risk of going home. I've made some pretty good friends here!"
-End Confessionals-
Max hurried over to the water and set his surfboard down, having some difficulty getting onto it. "Are Amber and Valerie making a mockery of you again?" Yvette asked him, sitting on her surfboard casually.
Max nodded his head, finally getting on his surfboard. "Yes, very much so! I would love to unleash all my evil energy upon them, but then I would have none for myself!" Max answered, furious with their behavior.
Yvette looked towards the beach to see where Amber and Valerie were, seeing that they were just chatting on a casual stroll towards the water. "You could take one of them out in this challenge, both even. These surfboards are cheaply made of wood, so if you can make sure that they go last in the challenge, their surfboards will fall apart and disqualify them." Yvette stated, knocking on her surfboard, making a loud 'clunk' sound.
Max's eyes lit up, intrigued by her idea. "Ooooh, I like that very much! They wouldn't have a chance in the challenge! But are you sure we're allowed to? We could get in trouble for something like that maybe?" Max asked, not wanting to let the two outlast him.
Yvette wagged a finger at him, adjusting her glasses with her other hand. "I would not recommend that, but do as you wish. Someone else may try to commit such an evil act first, but they'll get in trouble instead I suppose." Yvette said, then turning away from Max.
This of course instantly changed his mind. "Well worrying about getting in trouble is what a wimp would do! I am the great Max, evil among evil! So of course I will go through with my idea!" Max laughed maniacally afterwards, getting off his surfboard and heading back to the beach.
Marty, Brinley, and Tristan had just gotten their surfboards, taking the blue, light orange, and yellow boards respectively. "I don't know much about surfboarding, but it's just a balance thing right?" Marty asked the two, holding his surfboard out in front of him.
Tristan shrugged, carrying his surfboard casually like it was a skateboard. "Pretty much. It's like riding a skateboard, but on water. Me and my homies used to hit up Malibu during the summer, so I think I've got this." Tristan answered, then pulling his dark sunglasses over his eyes.
Brinley looked over her surfboard, feeling a bit more confident about the challenge hearing the two describe surfing so casually. "Yeah, we've got this one." she said, still on a bit on edge about Marty finding out what she did.
Wolfy had just grabbed her surfboard, taking the indigo colored one. She ran over to Amber and Valerie, waving at them excitedly. "This challenge is gonna be super fun! My friends Ocean and Crustacean taught me a thing or two about surfing whenever we went to the beach, but just getting to hang out at a beach like this is plenty fun!" Wolfy told them, giddy with excitement.
Amber smiled back at Wolfy, her excitement being a bit contagious. "Well yeah, and we don't have to deal with Chris today. So that's probably the biggest bonus!" Amber added, while Max now approached them with his surfboard.
"You two cretins! Amber! Valerie! I challenge you both to a surf off this challenge! Once everyone goes, we'll have a REAL showdown! In front of everyone! This will put you in your place for making fun of me!" Max challenged them, pointing at them angrily.
Valerie put one hand on her hip and tried to keep a straight face while looking down at him. It was nearly impossible to take him seriously. "Fine, we'll do it your way. It's not like you would be able to do any better than us. Gives us more time to relax anyway." Valerie agreed to the challenge, while Amber nodded in agreement.
Wolfy was glad to not be a part of this, but she was looking forward to seeing how this turned out. "Don't go too hard on him okay? That'll mess with that evil image ego he has." Wolfy joked, before walking away towards the water.
Amber and Valerie giggled at her joke while Max's rage only grew. "You'll see! You'll all take back your words when you lose to my EEEEEEVIL!" Max yelled before storming off towards the water as well. He left his surfboard on the sand though, just to keep it out of the water.
-Confessional: Wolfy-
"Does Max have a chance at doing better than either of them? Well..." Wolfy was holding in her laughter, before just letting it all out after a few seconds. "Heck no! But it'll for sure be fun to watch! He's already been pretty annoying and he's only been here for like two episodes!"
-End Confessional-
Alex and Raphael had gotten their boards next, taking the light purple and green boards. "So what do you think are your chances of doing well in this challenge Raph? I dunno how to surf myself, so this will probably go super rough for me." Alex asked, walking by the volleyball net.
Raphael had a determined look on his face at the moment, aiming to win this challenge even moreso than before since he had come so close twice in a row now. "Oh I'll do well. I don't know how to surf, I was never a navy guy, but I can't let myself keep coming short in challenges!" Raphael replied, taking proud strides towards the water.
Noah had heard Raphael's proud words, both annoyed and impressed at the same time. He had just grabbed the lime board while Katniss took the final board, being the dark blue board. "For a guy who keeps losing, he sure has high spirits. Makes me think he's a fan of losing." Noah remarked, sarcastically saying his sarcastic line from a while back. Double sarcasm there.
Katniss was tripped up by the double sarcasm though, not quite getting it. "Wait, was that sarcasm? I can't tell." she asked, looking confused as they walked to the water.
Noah shook his head, having grown some patience for her. He didn't have his usual bored expression, since they were at the beach this time. "No. Like he stays positive even though he keeps getting super close to winning. But I'm not here to judge what he likes. We'll win today's challenge and he can try again some other time." Noah said, walking to the water beside Katniss.
Katniss nodded slowly, understanding what he meant now. "Ohhhh, so you meant those words that time. Okay, I got it. Well I'm from here, so I think I can win!" Katniss said, just as confident as Raphael or Max was.
Noah was glad to hear that Katniss would be safe likely, since she was a prime target for Valerie. That would make some votes easy to manage if Katniss wasn't at risk of elimination. "I hope you do, since Valerie is probably going to vote for you if you don't. She's a ticking time bomb of anger, like a tiger dropped into a concert blasting rap music." Noah quipped, knowing how quickly she could snap.
Katniss was confused again by Noah's complex simile, but she just nodded again as if she understood. "Yeah, that. We'll beat Valerie too!" she raised a fist in the air, sounding more determined.
Now that everyone had gotten their boards, Bridgette and Geoff were ready to start the challenge. "Okay dudes, you all can go in whatever order you want, all you gotta do is make it through a wave on your boards!" Geoff told them all as a big wave started to come over.
Bridgette was further out in the water, sitting on her surfboard. "I'll be here to help you all if you fall, so no worries!" Bridgette called out to them while waving so they could see her.
-Confessional: Marty-
"Caring for our safety? Wow, I didn't think Chris would set my standards so low. This is five star treatment compared to him!"
-End Confessional-
First up to go was Tristan, who paddled over to where the wave was starting to rise. "Watch and learn everyone, this is how you surf!" Tristan boasted as he now stood up for balance. The wave wasn't a massive curl, just a simple three foot bump.
As he went over the wave, Tristan was able to keep his balance on the surfboard and avoid falling off. "That was a pathetic wave! But that counts right?" Tristan laughed once he was over and past the wave.
Geoff gave a thumbs up, since it was still a wave, despite how small it was. "You're good dude! Next!" Geoff shouted, then looking towards the others.
Raphael went up next, and the next wave forming was much bigger than the last. It was about six feet tall this time, although he was having trouble actually turning his surfboard while standing on top of it. He was standing right in the middle of the board and riding it parallel to the curve of the wave. It wasn't very long before the board tilted thanks to it's angle and knocked him into the water. "What a wipeout, nice try dude!" Geoff called out as he fell into the water.
Raphael surfaced quickly, swimming back to the shore. "Ugh, that went horrible. I should have waited." he mumbled to himself as he sat down on the sand.
"There's some sodas and popsicles in the cooler bro! Help yourself!" Geoff pointed towards where the rack of surfboards was, where a large cooler was waiting.
This news made the quick loss sting a little less, so Raphael hurried over to the cooler and grabbed a cherry popsicle for himself. "I wouldn't mind relaxing instead of doing a challenge. You got this right Katniss?" Noah said unenthusiastically, the cooler taking a lot of motivation out of him to win.
Katniss nodded, paddling over to the next wave forming. "I got it! Let's go at the same time!" Katniss told him, to which Noah paddled after her and then stood up on his board.
The wave was only four feet tall this time, so Katniss had no problem turning her board and getting over, while Noah just stood on his waiting to be knocked off. The water rose underneath him and he held his breath before falling into the water. "Talk about lame bro, Noah didn't even try!" Geoff complained, expecting more from him.
Katniss helped Noah out of the water as soon as he fell off, and the two made their way to the shore quickly. "How come you didn't try at all Noah?" Katniss asked him, setting her and his surfboards down on the sand.
Noah shrugged, already making his way to the cooler. "What sounds better to you, relaxing on a private beach with no little kids or Chris in sight, or attempting to win some challenges for invincibility that I might not even need?" Noah asked her, changing his tone to make the first option sound much better.
Katniss thought about the question seriously, weighing the options. "Well winning would be nice. That way Valerie can't get it!" Katniss answered, making Noah facepalm in disappointment.
"No, that was a rhetorical question. I'm just going to relax while everyone else wastes a perfect beach day. Sports aren't my forte anyway." Noah explained, walking up to the cooler and pulling a can of Professor Salt out and cracking it open.
-Confessional: Katniss-
"I'm learning lots from Noah, but he keeps throwing new stuff at me! Rhetorical? Forte? What are those? Food?"

Back in the water, Alex was up next and was starting to paddle towards the next wave forming. "So I just stand in the middle of the board and try not to fall basically?" he asked Geoff, unsure of how to surf.
"From a physics standpoint, that would not be the ideal position..." Yvette began to explain, patting the back of her board while sitting on it. "You would prefer to position yourself on the tail of the board, letting the nose point upwards. Because of the forces of gravity and the buoyancy of the water, the board will rotate thanks to your weight until the buoyance force is aligned with gravity. Because you would be standing on the tail, the board would naturally tilt in the direction. The same could be done if one were to stand on the nose, but-" Yvette continued to ramble, but was cut off by Valerie.
"He already left Yvette, you can stop the nerd explanation. No one understood any of that." Valerie told her, making the nerd roll her eyes and instead watch Alex try to surf.
Alex didn't hear any of Yvette's advice, so he stood up in the middle of his surfboard as the seven foot tall wave came towards him. He tried to keep his balance on it, but just like with Raphael, he was knocked off his surfboard as soon as the water rose up underneath him.
Bridgette didn't need to run in and save him though, as Alex surfaced and swam back to the shore in a bitter mood. While he did so, Marty swam over to Geoff to have a quick chat with him. "Sup Geoff! So uh, how's Summer doing? Is she mad at anyone in particular?" Marty asked him casually, hoping that at least Summer would know why she got kicked off.
Geoff tilted his hat up as he thought for a great while, not remembering bad experiences very well at all. "Uhh, she's pretty dang mad at Brinley for voting her off, but that's about all I got. That chick knows how to have a good time!" Geoff responded happily, not realizing what he had just done.
Marty was filled with anger and betrayal now, glaring at Brinley before taking a deep breath and looking back at Geoff. "Thanks man. Glad she's doing well." Marty thanked him before swimming away.
Up next to surf was Yvette, who paddled and then stood on the back of her surfboard. The incoming wave forming was nearly 11 feet tall, but all it took was some quick analyzing from Yvette to decide what to do. She shifted her feet and turned her surfboard just a couple of inches, and managed to keep her balance as she went on top of the wave rather than try to be cool and go through it. "Wicked skills brah!" Geoff complimented her as she remained standing on her surfboard once the wave crashed.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"I am not one for strenuous physical activity, but when it comes to any activity such as surfboarding, rollerskating, skateboarding, they all boil down to a matter of physics. It's very simple when you look at the science."

Brinley was getting ready to take her turn next when Marty swam over to her, still looking angry. "Hey Brinley, can I ask you something?" Marty asked her, making her heart sink instantly.
She hesitated to even respond, looking down at the water before looking up at him. Seeing that Brinley wasn't even going, Wolfy decided to take her turn. "What is it Marty? Need help with surfing? I think I kinda understood what Yvette was saying." Brinley said, hoping that was what it was, although she knew exactly what he was going to ask.
"It's about Summer." Marty began, confirming Brinley's worries. "I asked Geoff about what how she was doing if she knew who voted her off, but he said that Summer was mad at you. Care to explain?" Marty asked her, filling her with dread.
Brinley shook her head, starting to paddle away. "Nope! I have no idea what you're talking about! Anyway, I gotta go surf!" Brinley responded, ignoring the question and heading for the wave with Wolfy.
The wave was about five feet tall, so it was manageable for Wolfy. She and Brinley both stuck to the back of their surfboards, but only Wolfy was able to keep balance as the water rose beneath them. Brinley fell into the water and Bridgette hurried to help her since she didn't come up for a while. "Wolfy sticks it out and Brinley is out of the challenge, things are looking pretty rough for you guys!" Geoff exclaimed as Bridgette pulled her out of the water.
Marty was still worried about Brinley, but her reaction to his question created a large dent in his trust with her. It was still his turn to go next, as Max, Valerie, and Amber were all waiting to go last. The next wave was a measly two feet tall though, so he had no trouble getting over it. "Pretty lame wave, but it's still a wave bro. You're good dude!" Geoff called out to Marty once he was over.
-Confessional: Marty-
"I don't know who to trust anymore. Besides Tristan and Alex of course. Pals before gals I guess. Bummer."
-End Confessional-
Now that everyone besides Valerie and Amber had gone, Max went and grabbed his surfboard from the sand, having kept it dry this whole time. "Prepare to go down girls! You will bow to me and respect me after I demolish you in this contest!" Max told them as he now paddled towards the next wave.
Amber and Valerie couldn't help but giggle at his words, still not taking him seriously whatsoever. The wave that formed was roughly seven feet tall, but Max used Yvette's advice and stood on the end of his surfboard, barely able to keep his balance as the water rose up underneath him. He flailed his arms while screaming, but he was able to stay on the surfboard as the wave crashed, shocking just about everyone. "Way to go little dude! Max is still in the challenge!" Geoff congratulated him, making Max cackle evilly out of triumph.
"Let's just knock this one out together okay? If Max could do it, we could easily do it even better." Amber said, paddling towards the next wave quickly forming. Valerie nodded in agreement and paddled with her, ready to show Max who was better.
The wave was nearly seven feet tall again, perfect for comparison. Both girls were having some trouble standing up on their surfboards though, the boards feeling very wobbly. Both of them were standing right in the middle of their boards, and as soon as the water rose up from beneath them, their boards snapped in half and they crashed into each other. They surfaced quickly after the wave crashed, Valerie in particular looking angry. "You gave us busted surfboards! That's not fair!" Valerie yelled as she swam back to shore.
Max was laughing evilly as they walked onto the sand, since Yvette's plan had worked. "You fools! These were all the same boards, but I broke them myself with the water! Mwahahaha! You look so stupid now!" Max taunted them, which earned him a quick slap in the face from Valerie.
Bridgette and Geoff came back to the shore shortly after Valerie and Brinley, still looking cheerful. "Alright! So half of you dudes and dudettes made it, and half of you didn't! Let's get a move on with the next part of the challenge! Limbo! How low can you all go? We're gonna find out!" Geoff announced, ignoring the tension brewing between Max and the girls.
Unfortunately for them, Chris had just stepped down from the off ramp and stormed over to the co-hosts angrily. "What is this!? I leave you two to host one challenge and you turn it into a party! The losers are enjoying themselves! Those sodas were only for you guys!" Chris scolded them, which killed the mood.
Chris walked over to where Noah was relaxing, laying on the sand with a can of soda. Chris kicked it out of his hand, then kicked some extra sand at him. "This is Total Drama, not Total Party! This whole episode was a bust! First the autopilot fails, then someone attacked Chef, then we get hit with a cyber attack, but worst of all, you guys killed the episode! We're going straight to the elimination! Who got invincibility at least?" Chris ranted, before asking who was safe.
Geoff and Bridgette exchanged worried looks with each other, before Bridgette stepped forward to address Chris. "Well half of them got invincibility. We are only halfway through the challenge." Bridgette answered, which wasn't helping Chris's mood at all.
"Halfway through!? Do you realize that this is a 22 minute show! We don't have that much time for a challenge! Everyone back to the ship! Now! Everyone did the stupid wave thing has invincibility in tonight's vote, so you're voting for those that failed this easy challenge!" Chris yelled, before turning around and marching back over to the ship angrily.
Everyone let out a collective sigh as Chris laid out the bad new. "Bummer dudes, well you all got an easy challenge at least! A day off from Chris's torture. You all can sneak something from the cooler onto the ship, just a bonus since y'all missed out on everything else we had planned." Geoff told them, letting them all walk to the cooler.
-Confessional: Valerie-
"I would be voting for Max tonight, but that weasel got himself invincibility! So I have no idea who to vote for tonight. Katniss is safe too, so I have almost no options, I'll see what Amber says."
-End Confessional-
Everyone was in the cafeteria, back in their normal clothes and all dried off. There was a lot of uncertainty, as anyone could be going home. "So... who are we voting for?" Tristan asked, sitting with the alliance and Alex.
"Brinley." Marty answered quickly, suprising only Tristan. "She's the reason we lost Summer, since she voted for her. We said we were going to avenge Matias and Summer, and that's exactly what we're going to do." Marty said, making Brinley slouch in her seat in shame.
Alex nodded in agreement quickly, looking at her with disappointment. "I expected better from you Brinley. I'll go let the others know." Alex said coldly, walking away to head to the other tables.
Brinley heard that Alex was going to tell the others and quickly panicked. "Wait! Why can't we vote for Noah!? We had an easy way to get rid of him tonight!" Brinley pleaded, but she had raised her voice, so everyone else in the cafeteria heard.
Noah and Katniss gave her dirty looks, which wasn't helping her case at all. "I guess I'll vote for Noah. I'm sure everyone else will know who to vote for though." Alex said, crossing his arms and smirking at her.
"Why would you do that anyway? We were all friends on our team... I thought you all got along just fine!" Marty asked her, still very upset.
Brinley didn't even know what the point of answering was, since she knew she would end up in the cannon anyway. "I really like you Marty. You got me to open up more with people, and you're a really good guy. You and Summer were getting super close, and I got jealous. So I voted for her." Brinley replied, feeling even more ashamed.
Marty wasn't expecting that to be the reason, but now he felt horrible for exposing her to everyone like this. "Shoot... why didn't just tell me how you felt sooner? We could have worked things out, and Summer wouldn't have needed to go home." Marty gave a better way she could have done things, which didn't help Brinley feel any better.
"Oh you should have worked things out Brinley. Voting for an alliance member is just wrong." Tristan chided her, standing up and walking away from the table as well, looking disgusted with her.
Brinley wouldn't get much more time to explain herself though, as the loudspeakers blared extra loud since Chris was in a bad mood. "Voting time everyone! Get to it! Since a whole bunch of our footage time is already wasted!" Chris announced, using two megaphones for extra pain.
-Confessional: Brinley-
"I'm voting for Noah... hopefully Marty understands why I did what I did."
-Confessional: Amber-
"Sorry Brinley, but you made yourself an unfortunate target today."
-Confessional: Max-
"Mwahahahahaha! Valerie is going in the cannon tonight! She lost the challenge, and she slapped me across the face, how much more pathetic could she look!?"
-Confessional: Alex-
"I set up Brinley up for this a while back, but I was hoping this situation would happen later, when all my threats were gone. Oh well, I'll just vote for Noah and we'll see what fate decides. All that matters is that I'm safe."
-Confessional: Yvette-
"Oh my goodness Brinley, you wouldn't vote for an alliance member despite being in an overwhelmingly large alliance that would have easily carry you to the end of the game would you? Just kidding... I know no one's that stupid to try that."
-Confessional: Marty-
"Brinley did it for me. I feel awful. I won't vote for her though. I'm sorry Noah, but you're a threat and I have to make amends with Brinley."
-End Confessionals-
Later that night, all 12 players had gathered on the bow of the ship on the two benches. In the back row was Amber, Valerie, Yvette, Max, Noah, and Katniss in that order from left to right. In the front row was Brinley, Marty, Alex, Tristan, Raphael, and Wolfy. Chris walked out with the tray of 11 marshmallows and stood in front of the fire while Chef stood behind him with the toxic marshmallow. "Here we are, the elimination ceremony! A lot of you are getting off easy when you really shouldn't, which just means that someone has to be ripped away from you all tonight! You all cast your votes, and now we'll see who enters the Cannon of Shame!" Chris began the usual ceremony intro, grabbing the first marshmallows from the tray.
There was plenty of tension of anticipation and dread between some of the players, while others like Max were safe and free of any worries. "If I call your name and toss you a marshmallow, then that means you are safe tonight. Unless you get the toxic marshmallow, then that means you are outta here! Marshmallows go to those that got invincibility first! So those are..."
"Max."
"Wolfy."
"Tristan."
"Katniss."
"Yvette."
"and Marty."
Chris tossed the six of them their marshmallows, creating more worries for those that were up in the air for elimination. "The rest of you, you all have a good reason to get sent packing at this point. So it could be anyone going home!" Chris said, smirking at each of those without a marshmallow still.
Amber was fidgeting in her seat, not getting what reason she could be going home for. "But I haven't done anything wrong yet!" Amber protested, raising her hand to speak.
Chris nodded, grabbing the next marshmallow from her tray. "Correct, that's why you're also safe tonight with no votes. Same goes for Raphael and Alex, neither of you dudes got votes either." Chris said, then tossing the cadet and schemer their marshmallows.
That left Brinley, Noah, and Valerie, indicating that someone had voted for them. Valerie quickly realized it too, but her worries quickly disappeared when she saw Max stick his tongue out at her and blow a raspberry. "Valerie is also safe tonight, since she only got one vote." Chris confirmed what Valerie thought as he tossed her the next marshmallow, leaving one left on the tray.
Brinley looked over at Noah apologetically, and Noah let out a sigh seeing that he got in the bottom two again. "Okay, this vote wasn't a tie, so I'll get that out of the way, but wow. Brinley, your actions are finally catching up to you. Betraying an alliance member for love? Not cool man, not cool. Noah, not sure why you're here, but you've made some enemies it seems! Only one of you is going in the cannon though, and the other one of you is safe. So the last marshmallow of the night goes to...

Chris tossed the final marshmallow to Noah while Chef hurled the toxic marshmallow to Brinley. "Eeep! No!" she yelled as she swatted the toxic marshmallow away, making her yelp in brief pain from touching it.
Noah popped his marshmallow into his mouth while Katniss sighed in relief. "Well well Brinley, looks like you got voted out by an alliance member in the end. Treat others the way you want to be treated they say, and that probably applies here. Whatever, Cannon of Shame awaits!" Chris said, gesturing to the looming cannon behind the benches.
Everyone else besides Marty, Tristan, and Alex got up and walked back to their rooms. Brinley looked ready to cry, but Marty gave her a hug. "I'm sorry things ended up like this. I should have asked more than just let the word out. If it makes you feel any better, I didn't vote for you." Marty told her, which helped just a little bit.
Alex and Tristan nodded in agreement with him, looking upset as well. "Yeah, we voted for Noah. It sucks, but that's just how the show goes. One of us will win for you okay?" Alex assured her, before walking over and hugging her as well once Marty let go.
Brinley wiped some of the tears from her face after being comforted, smiling at them. "Yeah! We can move on from this. No one else voted any alliance members off or anything. You guys can do it! Win for me, Summer, and Matias! We'll be cheering for you guys!" Brinley exclaimed, before then being dragged off by Chef.
Chef loaded Brinley into the cannon while Marty, Alex, and Tristan watched with dismay. The three of them waved goodbye, Brinley doing the same back at them. "Bye guys! Win for meeeeeeeee!" Brinley yelled as she was fired out of the cannon and off into the distance.
Once the three boys walked away to head to their rooms, Chris turned to face the camera. "Well that was quite the elimination! Who will become cannon ammo next time? Will the ever shrinking alliance be able to get their act together? Find out next time, on Total, Drama, Revenge of the Cruise Ship!"

Well that's the end of Brinley, which I think a lot of you saw coming. As I write these later episodes, I know I said it was hard to write the early boots since I was taking their chances of development that season, but it's just as hard writing these late boats. Brinley and Richard in particular had gone through a lot story-wise, but now they're gone. Regardless, she was still fun to use. Notice I've been saying that for pretty much everyone, because I wouldn't have accepted them otherwise. But seriously, thank you to everyone who had a character in this, the cast wouldn't have been as great as it is without you all. I hope you all liked seeing Geoff and Bridgette again too, they're my favorite ship in the series, so I guess that's some bias. But it makes sense for them to appear a lot at least. We're going to Thailand next, so look forward to that! I hope you all have a good day as always. As always too, please be sure to leave a review! The feedback helps greatly, and I just love hearing what you guys think of these episodes! See you all next time!
Oh and I have an extra question for you all I'd love to know!
Who is your favorite contestant still in the game (besides your own OC), and who is your least favorite still in the game?
Now everybody's gone surfing... surfing in the reviews!
Nobody245: I know I kinda let the Richard kissing Katniss thing kinda sizzle it out. I wanted him to leave on a better note, so I didn't make it the main factor for his elimination. Most contestants hated him anyway, so it wasn't that hard to get him out. I'm glad to hear you read through TD Death Camp though, it's the only previous season I'll be referring to in the future mostly. Although I will say right now that Yvette is not a clone. Chris made sure of that before actually inviting any of the contestants to join the season. Raphael lightening up might be coming to an end soon with how the challenges are going, but I'm glad you're liking this side of him!
NightwolfGamer3: Well I'm glad you had a good day seeing Wolfy win! Thanks for the shoutout too! I'll be sure to check it out some time, big RR fan here. I'm suprised that you were suprised Richard went though, I thought him going would be pretty obvious.
Primione394: It was a good call to feel that way about Brinley, I was just trying to soften the blow a bit? Sorry about Brinley, but don't worry, this obviously isn't the last we'll be seeing of her. Max also isn't afraid since he's Max, he's evil, he fears nothing! Or something like that. I hope you continue to enjoy the fic even without Brinley, so see you next time hopefully!
Alexneushoorn: Yeah, it wasn't much of a suprise to hear Yvette's admiration for Scarlett. I didn't plan for it to be a big reveal either, since it really isn't something she was trying to hide. Simple challenges like this episode's and the previous episode's are kinda needed so more interaction can happen between the contestants, which is very much needed for where the story is right now. Raphael is just going to be taking a backseat a litttttle longer since there is plenty of conflict that he would prefer not be a part of still going on. Alex won't be getting rid of Noah just yet either. Like I said, Max and Noah were chosen for a reason, so their roles aren't to show up and be thrown away instantly. I might as well have picked Ezekiel or Eva to come back if I was going to do that. Nice to hear that someone enjoyed Richard. He and Brinley went through similar development if you really think about it. Just one actually confessed and got the good end of the stick while the other just came up short. Thanks for reviewing as always!
Attackin2: I was highly considering a Dave situation with the two considering Yvette's game plan, but I changed it last second since it was just better for both of them. Because in Pahkitew, the whole Dave and Sky thing dragged down both of them in my eyes, not just Dave. You'll have to wait and see what happens with him in the later seasons though, can't spoil!
IguessImaGuest: Richard making to the final 5 or 6 would be a dang miracle with how much competition he had here. Noice that Marty's on your top four, he's got a lot going on, so you'll get to see plenty more of him!
MatiasND aka 'a: Yeah, Noah ain't going anywhere yet. Also glad you pointed out the episode title. Chris and Chef use free online translators for everything, so purposely botched the title. It's not even supposed to be Siesta, but instead Fiesta.
Brinley's Audition Tape:
Brinley is sitting on her bed looking worried.
"Ariana, do I really have to do this?" she looks behind the camera at her best friend.
"YES! You need to be mor social, and you could win, oh and I am already rolling" her eyes widen.
"WHAT!? Okay then, um, hi, I am Brinley, or Brynn, and, um, my friend wants me to be on the show but I don't want to so please don't accept me" she rushes.
"NO BRYNN! ACCEPT HER SHE IS STRONG AND AMAZING AND CAN WIN!" Ariana yells.
"ARIANA!" Brynn leaps forward, knocking the camera and it goes black.
