Chapter Nine: Battle Trial!

~A/N~ Here we go. Chapter Nine starts and the Battle Trial begins.

Chapter Start!

"So who is the leader of your party?" Tess asked looking at the four heroes that had arrived on the hostage scene.

"That's me!" Katsuki shouted.

"I believe we agreed that Todoroki-san was to be our leader," Yalia said looking at the explosive blonde.

"Yeah, Todoroki," Neito added.

"What's the situation?" Shoto asked unfazed.

"We have isolated the villains in the abandoned theatre. We only know who three of the four villains are," Tess explained as she pulled out three folders. "Dread Iron, Bloody Mary, and Death's Daughter,"

"Any information on the fourth?" Shoto asked.

"Average build. Purple hair. That's about it," Tess replied.

"Hostages?" Yalia asked.

"They grabbed a family of four as they ran inside. They've barricaded the doors," Tess replied.

"What do we know about their quirks?" Neito asked.

"Dread Iron can turn his skin into metal, Blood Mary has some sort of telekinesis quirk, and Death's Daughter can turn into a Black Dragon and is confirmed the child of Deathwing," Tess explained.

"What's our best entry?" Shoto asked.

"Through the front!" Katsuki shouted while punching his palm.

"I doubt that," Yalia argued. "Perhaps there is a side entrance?"

"If Deathwing's Daughter is part of this they'll keep the hostages in the largest room where she can transform," Neito growled.

"I believe that is accurate," Yalia said rubbing her chin.

"Let's just go through the front! Blast in and take them down," Katsuki growled.

"No, we need a good plan," Shoto shot back.

~With the 'villains'~

"So now we just wait?" Testsutetsu asked.

"Nothing else we can do. We've set all our traps and we've got the hostages all set," Hitoshi replied.

"So... how did you meet Izumi-chan?" Tetsutetsu asked.

"Oh yeah, we aren't having that conversation," Hitoshi replied as he turned away.

"Get in positions. Should be starting any minute," Reiko's voice called over their coms.

"Right," Tetsutetsu and Hitoshi said as they moved to their starting spots.

~Match Start~

Katsuki held his hand up to the handle of the door and let loose a weak explosion. Just strong enough to blow off the handle and get them inside.

"Still think this is a horrible idea," Neito said as he stepped in behind the blonde.

"Just shut up and follow me," Katsuki growled as he walked forward heading towards the auditorium. He was positive that was where the hostages would be kept.

"They know we're here. I can feel someone watching me," Neito said as a chill ran down his spine.

"Shut. The. Fuck. Up," Katsuki growled.

"I can smell where all four of you are," Katsuki and Neito froze. "I can hear your breathing. I can sense your fear,"

"Dragon bitch is trying to fuck with us," Katsuki growled as he pushed forward.

"We are so outmatched," Neito grumbled under his breath.

~With Shoto~

"Well I guess we never had the element of surprise," Yalia said looking to Shoto.

"I didn't think her senses would be that strong," Shoto replied.

"Come little heroes, Stop scurrying around in the dark," Izumi's deep voice called out.

"I fear she just pushed one of the angry one's buttons," Yalia said.

"Probably," Shoto replied before everything went fuzzy. He couldn't move. His body wouldn't listen to him. He just stood there.

"How did you mock my voice so well?" Yalia asked as looked around.

"Todoroki-san," Shoto's body seized up. "Walk forward five paces," His body obeyed. Five steps forward and passed a door where Tetsutetsu stepped out of getting between Yalia and Shoto.

"Dread Iron I take it?" Yalia said as she took a fighting stance.

"Dead meat I take it?" Tetsutetsu replied as his steel form shot at Yalia.

"One down," Hitoshi said as he stepped up behind Shoto and carefully ran a red marker over his neck.

"Todoroki Shoto has been slain," All Might's voice called out. A moment later, everything was back to normal for Shoto.

"How'd you do that?" Shoto asked turning to Hitoshi.

"I've spent a lot of time learning how to mimic people's voices," Hitoshi replied sounding just like Todoroki.

"A good skill to match with your mind control quirk," Shoto said getting a nod from Hitoshi.

"Thanks," Hitoshi replied.

"Ow," the two turned to see Tetsutetsu on the ground rolling away from Yalia who was shaking her hand.

"You hit really hard," Tetsutetsu said as he got back to his feet with a clear crack in his metal chest.

"You are dense and strong but still weaker than the Ironbark trees," Yalia replied as she clenched her fists.

"Can you really fight two on one?" Hitoshi asked. Yalia stared at Hitoshi for a moment then to Shoto.

"Give me a shot," Tetsutetsu said taking his stance again.

"Sure," Hitoshi replied knowing he wanted a chance to win. With another shout, Tetsutetsu shot at Yalia to being their melee once more.

"You shouldn't be so brash," Yalia said as she ducked Tetsutetsu's haymaker and drove two fingers into his bicep.

"Agh," Tetsutetsu reeled back as his arm fell limp at his side. "What?" He barely managed to squeak out before Yalia hit his chest in rapid succession.

"Paralyzing Touch," Yalia said softly just loud enough for Tetsutetsu to hear her before he fell back out cold.

"Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu has been eliminated," All Might's voice confirmed.

"Seems like we both have interesting quirks," Hitoshi said trying to get a comment from Yalia. To his dismay, she didn't reply.

"Monoma Neito has been slain," All Might announced.

"AH!" Yalia suddenly screamed out as her body convulsed and she fell forward.

"Ah, Bloody Mary. There you are." Hitoshi said seeing Rekio a few feet behind Yalia with a taser in hand.

"You have a taser?" Shoto asked.

"I lack proper physical conditioning still. To help cover that weakness I have armed myself with non-lethal weaponry," Reiko replied as she walked forward and poke Yalia on the head with a red marker.

"Sagewhisper Yalia has been slain," All Might's voice spoke.

"Wonder why he said Tetsutetsu was eliminated but we are slain?" Yalia asked as she pushed herself up.

"Sorry about the taser," Reiko said.

"I hold no ill will. It was what you needed to do to win," Yalia replied with a smile.

"How about we go see how dumb and dumber are doing," Hitoshi offered. the group paused for a moment then began laughing, minus Shoto.

~With Katsuki~

"Where are you!" Katsuki shouted as he barged into the auditorium only to see no one there.

"Must you be so loud," Neito asked as he stepped in behind Katsuki.

"Welcome," the two slowly looked up to see Izumi's dragon form resting in the rafters.

"Fuck," Katsuki growled as he jumped back pulling Neito with him.

"Running away?" Izumi asked.

"Tactical Retreat," Neito replied.

"Todoroki Shoto has been slain," All Might's voice called out.

"One down," Izumi laughed as she landed on the ground in front of the heroes.

"NOW!" Katsuki shouted as he and Neito threw their hands forward.

"TWIN IMPACT!" Katsuki and Neito shouted out as they both launched an explosion at the dragon.

"Take that you stupid lizard!" Neito laughed.

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A LIZARD!" A clawed hand shot out of the smoke and slammed into Neito throwing him back and through a wall.

"Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu has been eliminated," All Might called out.

"Get up copycat," Katsuki shouted as he moved out of the dragon's sight.

"I can hear his heartbeat. He's alive... but unconscious," Izumi growled.

"Monoma Neito has been slain," All Might announced.

"Worthless extra," Katsuki growled. Hearing a soft beep brought a vicious smile to his face. His gauntlet was ready.

"Are you just going to hide?" Izumi asked from inside the theatre.

"Never!" Katsuki shouted as he rounded the corner to face Izumi once more. "Eat this!" he pulled back his gauntlet and grabbed the pin. "GIGA IMPACT!" The resulting explosion rocked the entire building and filled the area with smoke.

"How'd you like that?" Katsuki shouted.

"A little bland actually," Katsuki froze hearing Izumi's voice in the smoke. As the smoke slowly cleared he saw the dragon girl in her human form lying nonchalantly on the ground. His attack had missed.

"The battle is over, Villains win," All Might said in a very cold tone.

"I can still fight!" Katsuki shouted.

"He's right," Izumi said pointing over her shoulder at the smoldering hole in the wall of the theatre.

"What?" Katsuki looked to see a few fried robots.

"You, mighty hero, just killed all four of the hostages," Izumi explained. "You were so focused on 'killing me' that you didn't focus on what was behind me when you did you little 'Giga Impact' and killed the hostages," Izumi said as she rolled to her feet.

"I..." Katsuki just stood frozen.

"Played right into my hands yes," Izumi said as she pushed past Katsuki and moved towards Neito's unmoving body. "Monoma-san are you ok?"

"Ugh... What hit me?" Neito asked.

"That was me. Sorry," Izumi said offering him a hand to get up. "I don't like being called a lizard,"

"Noted... sorry," Neito said softly. He wanted to stay on her good side the best he could now.

"What happened here?" Izumi and Neito looked to see the other players arrive.

"We won. Bakugo-san killed the hostages trying to hit me," Izumi explained.

"Wow," Hitoshi said looking at the gaping hole in the theatre.

"How'd you dodge that?" Tetsutetsu asked.

"I just shifted back to my human form and dropped to the ground. It went right over me. Burnt my shirt a little though," Izumi explained while showing the back of her shirt has a few burns on it.

"But you're ok?" Hitoshi asked.

"Yup fine and dandy," Izumi said with a flex.

"Report back to HQ and we will begin the next round," All Might called out.

"Aye Aye Captain," Izumi laughed.

"You seem very energetic," Yalia said as the group started their way back.

"I just narrowly dodged what felt like a tactical nuke. I'm wired now," Izumi laughed.

~HQ~

"Welcome back zygotes," All Might spoke as the two teams walked into the HQ. Katsuki quickly moved away from everyone remaining silent as he sat down in the corner looking deep in thought.

"So who's up next?" Izumi asked.

"Team Uraraka vs. Team Kendo," Aizawa replied simply.

"Rock on," Izumi replied before looking at the screen.

"Hey," Izumi turned to see Setsuna leaning in towards her.

"Hey," Izumi replied slowly. She knew the look Setsuna had in her eyes.

"So I'm just gonna say it," Setsuna whispered. "Wanna fuck tonight?"

"Normally I try to get to know my partners a little more but with how pumped I'm feeling. Yes, yes I would," Izumi replied as her eyes trailed up and down Setsuna's body.

"Like what you see?" Setsuna asked.

"I'll like it more once you're pinned under me," Izumi replied before turning her attention back to the screen as the match started.
