Phoenix And Dragons

Chapter 7

Previously on P&D: The sun shone on the egg as its flashes turned into a bright flash and when ended a tiny black haired blob was sitting in their hands. "Tai!" They cried and hugged the small creature crying softly as the sun continued to rise in the background. While Meanwhile: "MetalEtemon they're headed for the Dragon Kingdom you know what to do."

10 days later: "Your so adorable and quiet in this form Tai please be like this when you grow your mouth back." "Kari!" Kari looked up from her brother at Sora who was flying in front of her looking at her with a frown on her features. "What is it Sora?"

"We have to pass this last mountain and we're home free the only problem is it's a volcano and we can be blinded by the smoke. I say we land once we get close and cross on foot." They had been flying everyday since Rika's attack to quicken the pace they were on.

"Sure thing Sora just let me put Tai back in his pouch." Kari and Sora had created a makeshift baby carrier for Tai out of leaves and clothing with vines and sticks holding them together. As she was starting to take off again she heard a cry from below her. As she looked down towards the sound she saw a little girl with hair that looked like a mix between her's and Sora's and had on a small pink dress with blue shorts on her forearms she had pink feathers which Kari assumed she was using for her uneven flight as she flew towards her.

"Please help! Someone, anyone! Help!" The girl cried. She looked so scared and worried Kari thought she might've peed herself. As flew closer and closer Kari noticed she was using all her energy just to reach them. She didn't have time to think as the little girl started to descend a little before dropping into a free fall towards the earth below. As Kari was about to fly after her a red blur flew past her and caught the girl before she hit the ground. Sora then slowly put her on the ground and kneeled in front of the hyperventilating child. As Kari landed she got a closer look at the girl. She had green eyes and looked a little over 10 but younger than Kari.

"Hey, hey it's going to be alright I promise but we can't help if your crying." Sora soothed the girl who had been crying into her chest and she started to calm down a bit. After a few minutes the girls had calmed her down they even gave her Tai to hold which seemed to do the trick. "Good now that you're calm can you tell us what happened because it sounded urgent as a Biyomon hybrid like you shouldn't be able to fly yet." Sora tried again. The girl took a deep breath before speaking.

"My name is Kristy Damon. Me and my friend Calumon were playing on the mountain like we always do when smoke from the volcano came and separated us from each other. I couldn't find him for awhile and went to get my big brother Marcus, because he's a mega level and could help me find Calumon faster. So me, him, and his girlfriend Yoshi went up the mountain but the smoke came back and I lost them too and this time I was stuck on the wrong side so I went looking for help until I saw all of you. I'm sorry to ask but could you please help me?"

"Sure we would, right Kari?" "Yup!" "Ok then Kristy let's go save your brother and friends." Sora looked down at the girl to find her crying again.

"Oh! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She hugged Tai who in turn spit out some bubbles in her face and they laughed.

"Your welcome it's what we do." Kari said as they turned and started walking towards the mountains.

About an hour later they were at the foot of the mountain. They saw a small trail heading up the side of it and started up it to the Dragon Kingdom when halfway up smoke and ash covered the path blinding the three young women. It was only for a moment as Sora and Kari flapped their wings blowing the smoke away from their faces.

"This is weird there's no wind here to push the smoke." Sora wondered. "Kristy take care of Tai for us and get out here, ok." The little girl nodded and took him away from Kari and ran back down the mountain. "Kari I may need your light." Kari then started to glow a holy light. "Good now head for the top of the mountain that's where the smoke came from." She and Kari walked up to the top of the mountain and stopped when they saw what looked like fire at the top. As they got closer they realized it was a Digimon.

"Meramon they must be creating all this smoke." Kari pondered. "No because Meramon don't create smoke meaning something else is burning. As they got closer they realized that the smoke had cleared a bit ahead and ran out. They soon stopped when the almost fell down a cliff but caught themselves in the air.

"Kari look!" They looked down and realized that the ledge they fell off was a Digimon, his head poking out the side of the seemingly mountain. "An AncientVolcanomon! I never knew they grew so big." Wait what if he's making the smoke! But that doesn't explain the Meramon. Her thoughts were stopped when the giant head roared.

"More Data Now!" A moment later a BlueMeramon ran up the path to the giant Digimon.

"Sorry sir but would two Megas and the Calumon do?" "No Shit I want that!" "Yes sir!" The blue digimon took off down the path unknowingly leading Sora and Kari to their base. When he reached the end of the path he ran into a clearing full of Digimon and Hybrids chained and surrounded by Meramon.

"So that's it they feed the giant data from passing Digimon and Hybrids using his smoke to blind them and capture them." Kari observed, "It's so cruel what their doing." She looked down at the small white Digimon with purple on the ends of his ears and feet. He had a symbol on his head of a series of triangles. "Sora look!"

"A Calumon a Digimon said to be the embodiment of Digivolution itself if they give him to then bad things might go down. So here's the plan I need you to snipe some of the guards with your arrows can you do it?" Kari nodded and started forming arrows of light.

"What about you Sora?"

"I'm going to take out the leader and free the prisoners. Ready? Go!" Kari launched her arrows at several guards deleting them instantly as Sora moved in first untying a women who had magenta colored hair and had on a red uniform with a flower necklace around her neck.

"Who are you? Are you here to help?" She asked as Sora untied her.

"My name is Sora Takenouchi, me and my friend are going to get you out if you could would you go and untie the rest for me?" The woman nodded and went over to the Calumon. "Now where are you?"

"I'm right here Frost Knuckle!" Sora turned and was punched in the gut by the BlueMeramon. She countered by kicking him in the jaw and prepared to attack.

"Phoenix Claw!" Her hand became engulfed in flames as she punched the Digimon in the face causing him to stagger back from the impact. "Storm!" She flapped her wings and a tornado appeared throwing him in the air. She smiled as she saw Kari fly above him.

"Heaven's Charm!" A cross of light appeared and as it came down on the Digimon smashed him into the earth.

"Wait you don't understand!" He shouted as they approached him. "This was the only thing keeping AncientVolcanomon-"

"GeoGrey Sword!" A man with similar hair color to Kristy came flying down and stabbed his sword into BlueMeramon's chest and scowled as he exploded into data. "Bastard." He then turned to the two girls. He had on shining red armor and had golden dragonoid wings. A golden helmet appeared on his head as he looked at them "Just because your girls doesn't mean I won't kill you too for working with him." Both Kari and Sora put their hands up.

"No we're the ones who freed you and we were getting information out of him until you killed him." Sora stated. Slowly putting her hands down.

"Alright but you shouldn't have listen to whatever he said he was probably lying." The man then turned to the women Sora freed earlier as she stepped next to him. Standing up you could see leaf like wings on her back. "Have you found Kristy?"

"No but I have Calumon on it now. I'm sorry Marcus."

"Marcus as in Kristy's brother?" The man now named Marcus looked at Kari worry in his green eyes. "Yes do you know where she is?" Kari nodded and started to fly up in the air Sora following and Marcus and women after "She's over there with my big brother."

"Your big brother? Then why are you two here fighting and not him?" The woman questioned. "You'll see." As they flew they spotted Kristy playing with Tai and Calumon in a clearing a little off the mountain. Her eyes widened when she saw them.

"Marcus, Yoshi!" She ran up to them as they landed and hugged them crying. "I was so worried until Calumon came and told me you were okay. Oh and Kari here's Tai." She handed him to her and watched as he spit bubbles in her face. They all smiled as Kari laughed and played with him then Sora.

"Wait this is what you meant? How is he the older one?" Marcus questioned and his smile fell as they told them the story. "Wait your the Phoenix Princess? We can take you to-"

KaBoom! "I said feed me!" AncientVolcanomon's voice echoed throughout the land and they looked up to see his massive form towering over them. He turned around and started walking away.

"Shit that's the way to the Dragon Kingdom! He'll destroy it!" Cried Marcus as he flew off towards the giant. "Yoshi watch Kristy for me alright!" He shouted as he continued towards the Mountain man.

"Kari stay here as well and watch Tai!" Sora called as she flew off after Marcus. When she caught up with him he was attempting to attack the giants head to no avail.

"Marcus go for the eyes. Phoenix Claw!" She punched the giants eye and was relieved when he revolted in pain. Marcus followed suit.

"GeoGrey Sword!" His flaming blade stabbed into the giant's eye and he smiled when the giant roared out.

"Lava-lanch!" His fist smashed into them causing them to get slammed into the ground at breathtaking speed rendering them both immediately unconscious.

"Lava-lanch!" He was about to smash their bodies when a flaming dragon shot right through his arm. He cried out and turned to see an army of Digimon and Hybrids hovering in the air above him and two figures stood in front of them their swords pointed at him.

"AncientVolcanomon I am King Takuya Kanbara of the Dragon Kingdom. Leave my subjects alone or else face me." The man on the right stated as he was in red and yellow armor and had an orange helmet on his head with three horns sticking out the top. He had a long sword which was pointed at him.

"And if I don't?" In mere seconds the giant burst into data as the man on the left flew right through his head.

"Then that will happen."
