Pokemon Story: A Normal Journey
~Ash takes a research trip to Alola to investigate the Regional Variants. Intrigued by the Island Challenge he sets out to explore a brand-new region while growing up as a trainer and as a person along the way. Fortunately for him, there is no prophecy or duty for him. That's the other kid's job…~
~Fighting 08~
"Brionne use Aqua Jet!"
The light blue Pokemon is engulfed in a torrent of water as it sails towards Marowak. The Totem Pokemon didn't seem bothered by this as it swung it's bone to smack Brionne away.
Brionne lands in front of Sun, who sports a frown at what just happened "It has quite some power"
"I trained this Marowak myself, of course its strong" Kiawe comments from the side lines, a prideful look directed at Marowak.
"Then we'll have to create an advantage! Brionne use Sing!"
Brionne nods and starts singing, its voice carrying over Wela Volcano. Marowak seems to get drowsy while hearing it, to the point that it drops its head on top of its bone to sleep, using it to not fall off.
"This is our chance Brionne! Use Bubblebeam!"
Brionne unleashes a torrent of bubbles at Marowak, who's pushed back causing it to wake up.
"Maro? Maro! Maro-Wak!" The Pokemon visibly looks angered and decides to fight seriously, igniting its bone and throwing it at Brionne.
"That's Shadow Bone!" Sun looks wide eyed at the move "Move away Brionne!"
Brionne jumps to the side and prepared to attack. Unfortunately, the bone came back like a boomerang and smacked the water type Pokemon to the ground.
"Bri…" The Pokemon whines in pain. It was a powerful hit after all.
"Brionne come on use Disarming Voice!"
Marowak decided to use another Shadow Bone that impacted with the Disarming Voice, throwing the bone far away from the Pokemon. Marowak seemed distressed by this, eyes going towards the fallen bone, and Sun was quick to take advantage of it.
"Now Brionne use Aqua Jet!"
Brionne was one step ahead and already flying towards Marowak, who can only cry as it is hit in the chest, sending it flying outside the battlefield.
Kiawe runs up to Marowak and sees that its unconscious. The Fire Type Trainer smiles at this and looks towards Sun "Good job Sun, you beam this Trial!"
Sun smiles widely and runs towards Brionne, picking it up for a tight hug "We did it Brionne!"
"Bri!"
Kiawe walks up to him and hands him a crystal "With this crystal you'll have the ability to unleash the Fire Type Z-Move, Inferno Overdrive!"

Ash stares at the computer, eyes fixed on the list on front of him.
Hala presented Ash with a serious problem. So Ash had to look for a way to solve it.
They arrived last night and met up with Hala, who offered them a feast and a place to sleep. The Kahuna replied that they would have their battle the next day by sunset.
Before that though, they had to do some things. Among them was praying to Tapu Koko at his altar.
Another was deciding the team for his Grand Trial.
-Flashback-
"What?"
"You heard me, I'll be using one of my signature Pokemon on a three vs. three battle" Hala explains once again "If I do your grand trial with my usual team, it would be no challenge. This way you will need to call on experienced Pokemon rather than capturing another Pokemon around Melemele"
"But… why?" Ash asks confused about why Hala went out of his way for this "Why do all this?"
Hala smile widens a bit "Let's say that someone out there would be happy I'm doing this"
-Flashback End-
So here he was, looking through the list of the Pokemon he owned for someone to aid him for a battle he had less than eight hours to prepare.
"Okay Ash you can do it" Ash slaps his cheeks to come to attention "Let's see… Pikachu is an obvious one… I want Rowlet to get some experience… that leaves the third spot… What to do…"
It does look like a difficult situation…
Ash goes over what he knows about Hala 'He's a fighting type trainer, Professor Oak told me that much… So a Flying type…? No, too obvious and the Professor told me his Dragonite had problems against him… Argh! Thinking too much is making my head hurt!' Looking over the list he could at least discard some 'Boldore is out, Krookodile is out, so is Scraggy… Glalie out as well… Tauros no… Snorlax… That rules out weakness… What next…?'
Ash spent the next few minutes discarding Pokemon for this battle and coming up with options until he reduced the list to five options.
"I guess I could take a walk to make a choice" Ash mumbles as he stands up from the computer "Take some air… maybe it'll help clean my head"
He walks out to Hala's backyard to find many Pokemon, Fighting Type all of them. Hala had young Pokemon like Meditite, Makuhita, and Tyrogue. But he also had old and clearly powerful ones like Emboar, Sawk and Pangoro.
Hell he even had a Heracross just like Ash's… well this one did look a bit more muscular…
He approaches the Pokemon and they come to greet him, they seemed just as friendly as Hala himself.
"Hey how is it going?" Ash asks with a smile "Are you guys training?"
"Maku-Maku!" Makuhita jumps up and down excitedly "Hita!"
"Boar!" Emboar pumps his fists as all the Pokemon form a line. The Pokemon paces around until its eyes lands on Ash "Em-Emboar!"
"Huh? Me?" Ash points as himself as the Unova Starter pushes him to the line. Ash stays in line as the fire and fighting type Pokemon pairs off until he's the only one left.
Ash's feels a chill run down his spine as Emboar stands in front of him "Hey…"
"Boar!" Emboar points to a small perimeter where one could fight… a training battlefield of sorts.
"You want me to fight!?" Ash takes a step back at the mere idea. Fighting an Emboar certainly wasn't in his plans…
"If you can't fight yourself then you have no place asking your Pokemon to do it for you"
Ash turns around to see Hala walking to them, his yellow jacket off "Hala…"
"Now get in the battlefield!" Hala pats Ash in the back, sending him tumbling into the ring "I'm turning old from seeing all this whining!"
Ash sighs and prepares to confront the mighty Pokemon…

Lisia walked through the town until she arrived at the battlefield used for the trials. Hala gave her permission to pull this stunt and she was extremely grateful.
She stood in the center and pulled out two Pokeball. From each ball came out both Pikachu and her Altaria. The Pokemon greet her with a cry in their respective language and move to stand by her side.
She had on her one of her favourite ensembles, a dress that looked suspiciously like one of Kanto's very own grass type specialist, Erika. She wore a green and red kimono that contrasted greatly with her hair colour. Maybe a trick to get the people of Iki Town to feel closer to her…
Lisia breathed in and out and smiled dazzlingly "Hello people of Iki Town! Gather round'! Let me tell about an event that will take place soon!"
Curiosity got the best of the citizens of Iki Town as they approach Lisia to see her on stage clothes. Some of them recognized her as the Idol she is and started cheering wildly.
"Let's do this Altaria!" She shouts as a bracelet under her sleeve is shown to the world "Mega Evolve my friend!"
Altaria mega evolves after a flash of light and cries out its name "Altaria!"
"Pika-chan you're ready?"
"Pika!"
"Then let's start with Electroball to the sky!" Lisia order her Pikachu before turning to Altaria "Take it for a ride!"
Pikachu shoots a ball of electricity to the sky and Altaria swoops in with the yellow glow of Sky Attack into it, pushing it around the town, leaving spark particles to shower over the battlefield.
"Now ride the spark particles and meet up with Altaria on the top!"
Pikachu jumps into the sky and, using its Lightning Rod ability, starts using the electricity in the air to run towards Altaria.
"Altaria prepare a Dragon Pulse for Pika-Chan!"
Altaria releases a Dragon Pulse in direction of Pika-Chan. The crowd gasped in shock at the move.
"Now Pika-Chan! Meet it with Draining Kiss!"
As Pikachu and the Dragon Pulse collided, it explodes and a mix of pink and purple that left the people cheering in awe.
Lisia smiled at that… 'This is what I love about what I do… the reason why Hugh's words don't really affect me. To me, this is worthy of a Mega Evolution!' She closes her eyes and bows to the crowd just as Altaria and Pikachu land besides her.
"Lisia! You're so cool!"
"I didn't know Pikachu could learn Draining Kiss!"
"I wanna marry you!"
She raises her head and calls out to the crowd "I invite you to join me in Akala's Battle Royale Stadium for a unique event! That's because the most important contest in the entire world is coming to Alola! The Pokemon Contest Extraordinaire VI will be held in Alola!"

Ash dodges another swipe by Emboar and palms the Mega Fire Pig Pokemon in the stomach.
With a smirk Ash steps back "Point for me"
Emboar huffs as it steps back, waiting for Hala to call the next round.
"This leaves you two with one point each. Next round defines the winner" Hala looks at both of them and calls out "Start!"
"Show time Emboar!" Ash calls out as he runs forward and tries to punch the Pokemon. Emboar steps aside and tries to hit the trainer, only to find that Ash turned around and blocked his fist with both hands.
"Boar!" Emboar pushes Ash, who tried and simply failed in not sliding backwards due to the Pokémon's brute force.
Seeing it not going anywhere, Emboar lets out a roar as his muscles bulge considerably and steams comes off its body. The empowered Emboar pushes Ash back, letting him fall to the ground. Right then, Emboar punches the ground and unleashes the mighty power behind his move, making the ground tremble and causing Ash to fall as he tried to stand up.
Emboar easily walks up and taps Ash stomach with a smirk.
"Point for Ash!" Hala calls out. Emboar looks shocked for a bit but then remembers the issue… "Yes my friend, you used a move. Maybe I ought to train you more"
"What a move… was it Superpower?" Ash asks as he stands up. Hala nods and Ash smiles sheepishly "Damn… what power. Emboar we will fight again soon, I don't want to win over rules like that!"
"Boar!" Emboar agrees and pushes Ash friendly.
"Argh!" Ash falls to the ground next to Hala who laughs at their interaction "Your friendship hurts!"
"That's to be expected! Emboar is one of my strongest Pokemon!" Hala tells Ash as he helps him to stand up "Good battle tough. Many would cower rather than face Emboar"
"Good to know…" Ash mumbles as his stomach rumbles slightly "I could go for a bite…"
"Haha! Then it shall be done! I suggest you go to the town's battlefield while I prepare some food! You'll see something interesting!"

Ash walked to the battlefield just as the crowd gathered. He stared in awe at Lisia's Mega Altaria and her Pikachu's interesting ability to learn a move it shouldn't.
He knew his Pikachu business… Talking about Pikachu…
Pikachu was on the first row to watch how things went.
But what took him by surprise was the announcement of the Pokemon Contest Extraordinaire VI. Ash was ignorant about many things, but the equivalent of a world cup for contests, he was not.
Not when he travelled with two coordinators.
It was a shocking turn on things, but it may make his adventure interesting for a change… 'I mean… not that I'm complaining, but I haven't seen a Legendary in a while… what's up with that?'
Soon, the crowd disperses, people satisfied with photos, autographs and memorabilia of Lisia. Ash met up with Lisia who was walking down the steps of the battlefield.
"That was amazing" Ash comments as Pikachu jumps up to his shoulders.
"Thanks, I bet I surprised you with the announcement"
"Yeah, I didn't expect for that to come here" Ash nods at her "So that's why you're in Alola?"
"That's right" Lisia smiles as they walk back to Hala's place "I'll be retiring as an Idol for a bit to take on some contests once again. This will be my call to the world that I'm coming back! Also my Uncle is coming to officiate the event, so it will be great!"
"That sounds great! You'll be doing what you like again" Ash pumps his fist to the sky "With Pikachu we always do what our hearts tells us! It hasn't failed us!"
"That's why I think you're a positive person to have around, Ash"
They get to Hala's house and a question pops on Ash's head… "Who's your Uncle…?"
"Wallace"

Tapu Koko stood on his altar as he waited for Hala to come with the Chosen One.
The place is a sanctum for the Pokemon, relaxing… silent… that is until…
"WHAT!?"
Tapu Koko curses whatever deity brought this upon him…

"You're the niece of a former Pokemon Champion"
It was a simple statement.
"I thought it was obvious" Lisia waves Ash off.
Hala meddles just for the kicks "The hair is a dead giveaway"
Ash's head slams on the table "I'm an idiot…"

Ash and Hala stood in front of the Ruins of Conflict, the place where the inhabitants of Melemele could pray to Tapu Koko. Pikachu sat on Ash's shoulder while Rowlet stood on his Pokeball.
"This is the place" Hala points to the entrance "Here we'll pray to Tapu Koko for a blessed battle and for prosperity"
Ash looks at Hala and sees the seriousness behind his words "Let's do it"
Soon after a short walk, they find themselves in front of the altar when they sat on their knees and closed their eyes.
"Guardian Deity of the Ruins of Conflict, Oh mighty Tapu Koko!" Hala bellows as he starts reciting a prayer for Tapu Koko "We find ourselves in front of you, humbly asking for your blessing in the coming trials. Here young Ash Ketchum, hailing from the far off region of Kanto, comes to you seeking your blessing!"
Ash knew right there that it was his time to speak up "Tapu Koko! I want to help my Pokemon to become stronger, to strengthen our bond! To do that these trials are perfect and I want your permission to do them!"
It was silent for a few moments until Hala sighed "It's done, we can go" Hala stands up followed by Ash.
They were walking down from the altar when they heard it…
"Koko…"
Ash and Hala stop in their tracks. They turn around and are met with a figure floating in the center of the altar.
"That's Tapu Koko" Hala looks at the creature with critical eye "I wonder what it wants…"
Ash walks forward and greets him "Tapu Koko! My name is Ash and this is my partner Pikachu!" The trainer from Pallet Town introduces himself with a smile firmly set on his face.
Tapu Koko's eyes burn into Ash's and finally extends his left arm.
The Guardian Deity seems to be waiting until Ash finally extends his left arms, bumping fists with Tapu Koko.
Ash's Z-Ring started shining brightly, making him jump back in surprise "What's going on!?"
Even after all, their fists did not part away. Suddenly, it all vanished and they were left with the question.
"What was all that?" Ash wonders as he looks at his Z-Ring.
It looked the same.
Hala meanwhile looked wide eyed at what just took place 'Did… Did Tapu Koko want to evolve Ash's Z-Ring… and fail…?'
Tapu Koko gives Ash one last look before flying away 'You have my blessing, Ash Ketchum'

Ash sat once again in front of the computer, staring at the list. He managed to reduce the possibilities to five which would make it easy to beat Hala.
Too easy…
Ash sighs as erases each entry… "I'm going to beat Hala in his own game… and seeing that…" His mind wanders towards his battle with Emboar, the power the Pokemon exuded and the steam coming off it… "I know what to do"
He gets to the videophone and calls Professor Oak…
"Hey Ash! How's it going?" It was Tracy who answered, cheerfully smiling at Ash "Need anything?"
"Hey Tracy! You know… I need you to send me a Pokemon"

"So… we cannot seem to find her. We heard rumours of her being in Melemele, but those proved to be untrue" a balding blonde man speaks up, not taking his eyes from his boss' back "I suggest we send a message to all of our posts in Alola to look for her"
"No" The Boss, a woman in her mid-thirties, turns around with a frown "It would impact negatively in our reputation as a Pokemon protection organization. We will have to find someone to do it for us"
"Surely you're not suggesting that we call on that… oaf's help, right?"
"Faba my dear, sometimes one has to dirty their own hands for a purpose" The woman smiles wickedly "If we have the resources to make someone else do it, I don't see a reason against it"
"Yes… Miss Lusamine" Faba nods and decides to skip to the next subject "On another note, we have the list of Trial Goers this year"
Lusamine takes the tablet from Faba's hand and looks through the list "Let's see… Hala's Grandson, Hau Kaudan is one of them. Currently in Akala Island… next is Sun Yō… a boy from Kanto… how strange… He's with Hala's Grandson… last one is… Ash Ketchum… That name sounds familiar…" Lusamine ponders as she sits on her chair and reclines back "Where did I hear that name…?"
Faba takes the tablet from her hands and asks her "Maybe I could dig in some information…"
"That would be appreciated" Lusamine looks at Faba "Bring the boys here… they might be malleable enough to our cause"
"Err… The Ketchum boy is in Melemele still while the other two are in Akala…"
"I get your point, the other one is not good enough then" Lusamine starts up her computer and waves Faba away "Go away"
As Faba leaves, Lusamine sighs as she looks to the wall where a photograph of four persons smiling happily at the camera stared at her. A typical family if she ever saw one…
"So naive…"

Keith stared at the luxurious hotel he's staying in Heahea City and sighs "This is too much for me" He was a man of simple tastes after all.
He walks out through the main street and soon arrives to the public beach. People played volley, women rested on the sand ready for their tans, men looked at the waves ready to do some surf, the usual.
Definitely, Heahea Beach was less luxurious than the one in Hano Grand Resort, but this one had less snobby people.
That's a plus…
He goes to the locker room of the beach and changes into a pair of lilac trunks, ready to dive in the water. He brought out his Lapras and jumped on her back.
"Lapras take us a bit away from the shore"
"La-La!"
Lapras swims away for a few minutes until he arrives to a nice spot.
"Thanks Lapras" Keith caresses the water Pokémon's face and releases the others, except Suicune.
Quagsire and Frogadier jumped immediately in the water, chasing after the other while Empoleon dipped slowly and relaxed with the waves, leaning against Lapras.
Keith himself jumped into the water and leaned besides Empoleon, closing his eyes to relax "This is nice…"
"Leon"
"I agree my friend"
They sit contentedly until he hears the distinct sound of water moving. He opens his eyes and sees a young blue haired girl riding a Lapras just like his.
"Hello" Keith greets the girl who seems transfixed with his Pokemon "Can I help you?"
"Uhm! Alola! I wanted to see your Pokemon, they seem really well trained!" The girl jumps into the water and swims over to Empoleon "Is this your starter? He seems strong!"
"Yeah he is" Keith wondered about nosy people on this region "And you are?"
"I'm sorry! I'm Lana, a Trial Captain!" She swims towards him with a smile "Pleasure to meet you"
Keith's smile widens a bit "A trial captain? Interested in water Pokemon? You wouldn't happen to know something about the Water Type Z-Move, right?"
Lana smiles at him "If you beat by Kyogre then I'll tell you"
Keith gapes at her enough for salty water to fill his lungs "W-What!? A Kyogre!?"
Lana pokes out her tongue "It's a lie!"

Ash and Hala stand in front of each other, on different sides of the battlefield. The old Kahuna had three Pokemon on his belt while Ash had two and Pikachu on his side.
"The rules are simple" Hala declares for everyone present, Ash, Lisia and the crowd "It will be a three vs. three battle. Switching is permitted for the trial goer! Any question?"
Ash smiles at the man, the fires of challenge burning brightly in his eyes "No, I'm ready to take you down, Hala!"
Hala smirks "We'll see…"
-BREAK-
Welcome back for another chapter! Today you'll see the set up for Ash's battle against Hala! The awaited Grand Trial!
Not only that, we get to see the trial of Sun at Wela Volcano! He seems pretty competent to me, and he'll grow stronger by the day!
Also Lisia announced the Contest Extraordinaire number VI! The worldwide event where only the best coordinators can participate! It is elitist enough to requires having won a regional grand festival! So in a sense, la crème de la crème! What will happen when we reach there!?
Also her Altaria Mega Evolved and showed everyone in Iki Town what it can do along Pika-chan! Hugh's words become meaningless to her in this context!
Also Ash has a tough choice to bring a powerful Pokemon to fend off one of Hala's strongest ones! Thank you Hala for doing it for the readers *wink* *wink*
Also Keith makes an appearance and he's having a great time in Heahea City!

Chimera608: Nice chapter. A good way of introducing one of ash's rival. I wonder why the island guardians except Tapu Koko don't like ash? Also was hau's capture inspired by his battle with ash's Pikachu? Is sun an experienced trainer or is he starting out?
Me: It's not that they don't like him, he's a magnet for disaster. Would you want someone so prone to danger close to your home? That's the logic haha. About Hau, I don't know, I'm taking his team from the USUM version of the games. About Sun, he's a rookie, but a prodigy rookie, like the ones that progresses far too fast. Like an MC from a certain videogame :D
Konowhut69: Nice chap as always. I really liked the unique take Hugh in this story. It is actually pretty unique (Something I have come to expect from you). I also like the idea of temporal companions. As regarding pokemon fanfiction, To me the amount of fics has decreased, but the quality has increased by a lot. The number of fics that show potential have skyrocketed in my opinion. The number of betrayal fics have decreased too. There are now a decent number fics with some of them coming this year. Best of these fics which started this year in my opinion are Welcome to the (insane) world of pokemon by CaptainMoonshine(It manages to be a bit realistic while still feeling like pokemon. Mc mainly wins with stragedy and planning and not with raw power like other fics.) Ok sorry that derailed fast, So sorry.
Me: It's certainly unique in the sense that Hugh is hardly seen in Fanfiction besides Adventures ones. So let's see how this pans out! Curious, I see only betrayal fanfics nowadays :s maybe I don't look too deep. But I mostly stay with Ash fics, rather and OC or other media fics. But I'm certainly checking that fic out! About the misplaced review, don't worry it happens from time to time :)

OK I am gonna make this normal in my reviews,(QQT) Quick Question Time! 1. Introducing a character named Hugh, neat, but is he the B2W2 Rival or a Canon Foreigner/OC? 2. Part time companions are neat but are you gonna let any perma-companions join Ash? 3. I know you are gonna bring back previous of Ash's Pokemon, just gonna ask if they are gonna be introcuded in the Alola League Arc or at somepoint in the story? 4. Are you gonna make any canon immigrants from Pokemon Fangames (like Pokemon Insurgence or Dark Rising for ex.) and sidegamesbesides Pokken, Stadium and Colleseum XD)? 5. Why isn't this fanfic popular? Keep up the good work my dude.
Me: Remember that he and Hau had a head start! When Ash arrived to Alola they had already completed their Grand Trial! Also Lana appeared here, hope you like her! Onto the QQT then! 1. He's a mix of both actually. I'm taking the existing character and making my interpretation of him. Kind of like with Wally (games) and Drew (anime). 2. Not really, it's a journey to grow in a sense. This part time compations will appear and join him from time to time, but they have their own timetables and Ash needs to have moments to deal with problems by himself. 3. :) 4. Funny thing? I wanted to make a Pokemon Insurgence fanfic with Ash in the place of the MC and having Nora as a pairing, but I can't seem to get some parts to make it have some sense :s But in this fic it's a no I'm afraid. Wanna have common ground with most readers. About sidegames… well they'll have cameos at most I think. 5. Honestly? I don't know! I think it's a good idea all around and this kind of fanfics usually have more reader. Maybe fanfiction net is really dying? Now question for you! After all it's not fair if only I answer! Tell me the origin of your ff username? A game? An anime? I'm curious!
Khangshadow: Dude just pls focus on ash . He is your character. Is you not focus on him lemme said there used to be a guy like you and he got piss off by a ton of pkm fan.
Me: Chill out! Sun won't be like Goh in the sense that he'll be a protagonist! But I'm trying to build him up towards the League. I mean, if he comes out all threatening out of nowhere, then I'll get accused of creating a Tyson, Harrison or Tobias-like trainer, you know the ones that pop up in the leagues and end up beating Ash. So I'm going to make some scenes to build Sun up into a rival of Ash. Maybe I'll pitch a whole chapter for him at most.
hunter81095: I know this is only chapter 2, but I'm liking it so far except for seemingly imposing the four move limit on anime rules. That's not a thing in the anime, it just artificially limits a Pokémon when using the anime over games. I'm enjoying this so far, I hope Lisia sticks around a little longer, fics with Ash traveling solo tend to get bogged down in training minutia or are boring to me, because half the fun of Ash's journey is the interactions with the people he meets and travels with along the way. Keith I can take or leave, honestly. He's alright, but he doesn't really add anything like Clemont, Brock or Cilan do. He'll be a good recurring character that shows up every now and again, like Cynthia or something. Lisia though, I like. I've always loved having a Pokémon Coordinator sticking around with Ash, simply for the different perspective it puts on Pokémon training. Even if she's eased off on contests to be an idol with her Pikachu, I wouldn't mind her following Ash for a while, especially because I'm fairly sure that traveling with coordinators is what gave Ash ideas for some of his own techniques. I'm hoping Hugh gets his ass beat by Ash without a Mega or Z-Move, just to shove his BS up his ass. Mega Evolved 'Mons are good and all, but that doesn't mean they're immune to a regular Pokémon whooping their ass. Also, is it bad I'm kind of hoping for slight shipping of Pikachu and Pika-Chan? A reversal on the situation with Bunneary would be hilarious. (I also kinda shipping Lisia and Ash, even though I doubt it will happen.)
Me: Long set of reviews! Let's start then! Well this story is set in the anime. The story and elements may be taken from the games, but this is Ash… now that I think about it, the games also have a four move limit, so I'm not in trouble I think. Personally, I think that having dozens of moves for one Pokemon makes it less strategic in the long run. I mean, learn moves and pull up the one you need at convenience. It leaves the story feeling like it's no challenge at all. With four moves one has to get more creative I think and it shows in the type of battles you see. That's my opinion at least! About the training minutia, I detest them, so you won't see that at all. I mean, besides a training scene for a rematch (like the anime does), you won't see training sessions to that level do detail. About Keith, yeah he's pretty plain for the most part, but I've written some scenes with Ash for future chapters that'll make it worth it I think. About Lisia though, you'll have her for a bit more, she's a part timer as well. But she'll come back off course, specially with this announcement she made! The critic to mega evolved is a bit towards a friend of mine who can't stop telling me that Pokemon died with Gen VI and mega evolution is the pinnacle of the franchise. This is to say that Mega Evolution will play its part and we'll see how it goes! About Ash and Lisia, it would be a possibility, one I played with for a bit, but he's 17 and she's 20 and pinning after Keith (Who's around her age group). It's not a big gap, but their minds play a different tune. About Pika love? :D
Kagayaki-sama: What the...? Seriously?! The Guardian Deities are seeing Ash as a threat and was also called "magnet of trouble". I mean, Ash helped and saved a lot of Pokémon including Legendaries and Mythicals through his life. Although he always get himself in trouble, especially Team Rocket. But the fact that they see 'The Chosen One' as the one that could bring threat to the region, what could that mean? Now, back to the story, I'm amazed that you've introduced Hugh as a potential rival for Ash. But he only battles with Trainers who are capable of Mega Evolving their Pokémon. Too bad Ash gained another jerky rival, he doesn't believe that Ash's Pikachu defeated a Mega-Evolved Pokémon. And its official, Sun is introduced while taking Kiawe's trial. I'm expecting another new chapter from you. This chapter is amazing and keep up the good work. P.S. I've read the comment of a guest reviewer involving the Pokédex entries. I've noticed that, too. I hope you can fix it in the future chapters.
Me: Well… I mean every crisis happens when Ash is around. Or he's the destined saviour or the harbinger of doom. Who knows? About Hugh, yep he's going to be a rival after Best Wishes skipped over him and choose to introduce the horrible rivals it did :s but I think jerky rivals help push Ash a bit when it comes to personal beliefs and Pokemon battling. We'll see how it goes! And we got a bit more of Sun! About the Pokedex entry, I really blocked it out of my mind. I don't know, but I'll try to get them right!

Enough about that, another amazing chapter you've got there. I like the entrance of Hugh as another rival for Ash in this story. But I wasn't expecting that the Tapus are seeing Ash as a threat. Didn't see that coming. Another fact that Sun is now making an entrance in the story. About FanFiction, it seems you're right. This site has decreased a lot of activity going on in this site. I'm sick of reading 'Betrayal' fics because it is nonsense. I want to read a fanfic that is based on game series' story, some retelling of Ash's journey set in AU, and some shipping stories. That sounds like a threat to me! I mean, the Tapu are preparing Sun to defeat the coming threat (Necrozma) and then comes someone like Ash. I would be worried too. Me: Thanks for your opinion, but I'd like to digress on two points. The first is that it basically says in the summary that it takes things from USUM. What more can you take from USUM besides the story? I mean, the anime didn't do much to give us one. It was more like a weekly slice of life episode with some small arcs mixed in (A different thing, but not necessarily bad). So obviously there won't be much to gawk at if I'm starting with something that already exists. About being predictable, I don't know. It may be, but it's a fanfic and I don't expect that I can write up to par with better writers in this site. The story is what it is. If you don't like it, it's fine! I mean, everyone's free to choose what they like! :D The second point I digress is that you reviewed in chapter 7, so you must have found something interesting! See ya or don't!
CRAZY STORM: Have you wondered why Ash is still 10 yrs. old despite the fact that he travelled various regions in over the years? Maybe 6-8 years, accurately? Times passed but he is still 10 yrs. old until now. Some say that when Ash meets Ho-Oh on his first journey, he was granted an eternal happiness. Others say its because of eternal youth theory. I don't know why he's still 10 yrs. old, but I'm just curious though. Onto reviewing this story, I'm impressed how you make a reboot of Ash's journey in Alola about investigating Regional Variants, taking part in Island Challenge and making some part-time companions.
