"Alright cupcakes," Coach Hedge started "Listen up. Today we are cutting dry land short."

Everyone gave a silent cheer

"Now," He continued

Crap Percy thought there was probably a catch to this. Usually Coach Hedge never cut anything short just for fun so something was probably not as exciting about to come.

"We are doing half dry land now and half later." The coach answered.

There it is Percy thought. Leo looked very annoyed. At first when the coach said that they were cutting dryland short he seemed like he was ready to explode with happiness, but now he seemed pissed.

One girl who he thinks named Lily and who is about a year younger than Percy raised her hand.

"Yes?" Coach Hedge asked, seeming annoyed.

"Why are we doing half now and half later?" She asked

Now the coach seemed really annoyed, but not at her.

"The swim team has a meet today and their coach came over early today and said they needed no distractions." he mumbled in response not happy

A few whispers went around. Why would anyone have a swim meet now? The winter season only started a few months ago and usually the winter season is not for meets.

The girl raised her hand again.

"What this time." He asked grumpily

"Well it doesn't exactly make sense to do half now and half later." she said

"And why's that?"

"Wouldn't we be all wet once we start the second half? And by the time we all are done diving we will most likely be tired and no one will want to do anything."

"So you're saying you want to do an entire practice of dryland?"

Percy heard Leo give a very distinct no

"That's no-" she started

"Ok so we can either do an entire class of dryland or we do it my way. What do you want?"

"Your way." She mumbled and so did everyone to be honest Percy thought she made a very valid point.

"Alright shut up." He said, bringing all eyes to him.

"Now we don't have all day, now go find a place on the mats to warm up." he said sitting down in his chair.

Naturally Percy, Leo, and Jason all ended up next to each other

"Jumping Jacks, go" The coach called out the first warm up exercise.

Somehow Leo started doing them. Normally he would just sit around or pretended to be doing something because he hated warm ups.

"Um Leo, are ok?" Percy asked while jumping, he noticed that he was actually willing to do something he didn't want to.

"Oh I'm fine man, why?" Leo was oblivious to the fact that he never warmed up.

Jason raised an eyebrow "Well you are actually moving your body instead of complaining that it's too hard." This was often something that he did.

"Well 1. I'm way too excited about tomorrow," Leo said now getting all energized "And 2. I don't want to be stuck doing dryland for an entire practice."

Percy and Jason nodded

"15 pushups." Coach Hedge called. Everyone dropped to their hands and started doing push-ups.

This was one thing that Leo was not good at. Push Ups were never really his strong suit but tried anyways.

When they were over everyone got up and waited for the next instruction which was one leg in one leg out. So everybody sat down and put one leg out and kept one leg and stretched.

Just as they started the swimmers were just starting to practice for their meets so all the swimmers started walking by to get the other side of the pool.

"Hey Percy." He hears someone say. It was Rachel. She always tries to flirt with him and keeps doing it even if he tells her to stop (which he does). Percy rolled her eye's.

"When is she even going to stop." He complains

"I don't know man but she's really annoying." Leo said

She's been bugging Percy ever since she met him, which was years ago. He's tried everything he can to try and get her to just stop but it's not working.

"Switch!" Yelled the coach and everyone switched their legs.

The swimmers were practicing but Percy realized that every time that they finished their lap they got out. It was going to be a long practice.

Heyyyy. Sorry that this one was like really really really short but it's kinda a filler. Rachel is in this chapter and will be in more. I personally don't like Rachel that much. I know some people do so if you do please don't get mad at me for making her an annoying in this but that's that. Hopefully the new story will come out sometime this week! I'm super excited and it's probably going to be a long one. This story story will probably end sooner than later but there are still a decent amount of things that need to happen so idk. Anyways New year's eve is tomorrow and I probably won't post then so Happy early New Year! Stay safe and new story will be out soon. Also if you want to review that would be nice too.
