Hi guys. Today I bring another chapter. Merlin's perspective! This is the first part of the chapter (it will have a second part). Here you will more or less ñnow what was happening to Merlin. This has sense in the future, it isn't something random. I have more or less planned what I want to do with the story. And, sincerely, I really like it how it is going. I hope you also think so. Well, simply enjoy it.
I'm not own from Merlin.
Merlin felt bad. And to say he felt bad was that he was really having a pretty hard time. Ever since he knew the truth in Gaius' words a few hours ago, he just couldn't go on. He didn't know what was going on with him. Since when was he so affected by the truth like that? It's not like his father was cursed or anything like that. No, nothing like that. His father was a Dragonlord, and that was saying a lot. He was a person he could be proud of being his son. Yes, that tasted good, but there was something wrong. Something he felt was missing.
Throughout the trip, Merlin was thinking about it carefully. There was something that didn't add up and he knew it. Rather, his magic knew. He had no idea that his magic could do such a thing, but it was true that he had already done it with other things: he had detected magic in something or someone, he had known when there was a magical artifact at stake, and those type of things. But, now that he has thought about it, never something so strong and important. It was as if his magic was crying out for something he didn't know what it meant. His magic, which at the time looked like a squealing monster inside (exactly located under the chest box), did not seem to rest. It did not stop, it did not sleep, it did not rest. It was always there, letting him know something was wrong. To be more explicit, something was wrong with his father.
And that had brought out the worst in him. Inside, he had a tremendous desire to know more about his father, because, as always, he felt that something was missing. He needed information. And fast. But, on the other hand, his mind told him not to do anything stupid to know about his father. And that's when the battle began: heart versus mind, who will win? Merlin didn't know yet. Honestly, he didn't know what to do with his life. Something very strange was happening and it didn't stop.
When he lay down on the first day of the trip, the battle continued. He thought about it several times. He asked the questions his mother used to ask him when he didn't know what to do: first, was what he needed true? Yes, it was true. Was it a good thing, something that didn't affect anyone badly? Yes and no, it could be bad for him, in a way. And finally, was it necessary? For his heart, it was a lot, and that's what was important. Well, who lives but with the heart?
He's been out of sleep for several hours reconsidering about it. Asking himself questions, thinking about what it would mean in the future, and so on.
It was a little longer until he knew what to do. If there was anything he had learned in his entire life, it was that, whatever it took, he always did what he thought was right, whatever it was. And that answered everything. Just do the right thing. That was his motto.
So he got up, grabbed a hooded cape so he wouldn't be detected while he was doing what he had to do, and set out to do it. he had to. If it wasn't for his own good, at least he'd do it for his father.
And so he went to get answers to the person he knew would give it to him.
And that's it. Little chapter, but only the first part. The second will come the next day (I don't know if it will be yours, too). The story is having more or less a form, I believe. What do you think? Was it good this chapter? Tell me things, if you want, ideas, I don't know. Also, you can revise and comment, as always, and with that, you will make me happy :). Well, thanks for everyone who's seeing the story, and see you next time.
Next chapter: Merlin's perspective. Second part. Who is he going to meet? And for what exactly?
