Chapter 18:

Reunion

The humans walked through Toy Box Pass, for the journey was long and perilous. The leader watched as his team walked through the pass. He looked back and knelt down to put the necklace on the snowy ground. His son was gone, but he would be remembered. The leader then continued to walk through the pass.

But then he heard footsteps and turned around. He saw a giant DinoKoosh and a Toy Monkey walking towards him. The human astronaut looked at the two Toys in front of him strangely. Fuzzy then reached around to pick something off his shoulders but the father aimed his spear at him feeling threatened. Fuzzy reached forward and tried to pull the spear away from the human, but the leader held on to his spear. Fuzzy was soon caught in a tug of war over the spear. One of the guard dogs heard the commotion and growled. One of the astronauts turned to where the dog was growling and saw the leader being " attacked" by Fuzzy. Fuzzy pulled the spear away from the leader and threw it to the ground.

The leader looked at his team as they readied their spears to aim at Fuzzy and Fuzzy reached around his shoulders again. Spazz held up his hands and closed his eyes tight in fear.

Fuzzy lifted the baby from his shoulders for the leader to see. A look of relief and joy crossed his face. The leader then heard the others coming to attack and ran to stop them. The astronaut team stopped and Spazz fainted from the shock. The humans turned to face Fuzzy, who held the baby in his mouth. Then Fuzzy sets the baby down on his feet. The leader knelt down and opened up his arms. The infant walked over to his father and his father picked him up and hugged for they're reunited. Spazz woke up and saw the scene with a smile and so did Fuzzy for the baby is reunited with his family.

Fuzzy then looked at Spazz with a smile and heads off. Spazz looked at the baby and his family one last time and follows Fuzzy. But as the two were about to head back where they belong, the baby begins to fuss. Fuzzy and Spazz stopped and turned around to see the baby wanting to say goodbye to them. The father set his son down and the baby walked to them. Spazz picked up the baby and hugged him. " Don't forget about us. Okay?" said Spazz, Fuzzy then gently picked up the baby and said " And we won't forget about you,". Then Fuzzy and the baby hugged for the last time. Fuzzy returned the baby back to his father.

The leader looked down and saw the necklace. Then he picked it up and placed it on Fuzzy's neck. Fuzzy looked at his new necklace and smiled at the leader and then at Spazz, who smiled back. The humans then started their way through the pass and head for their rocket. " Goodbye! Goodbye! Bye…," said Spazz sniffling, " Spazz," said Fuzzy, the baby did an impression of the peek-a-boo trick. " Yeah! That's right! Where's the baby?" said Spazz doing the same thing, " Come on, Spazz. Let's head south," said Fuzzy as he started to walk off until his eyes caught something that made him smiled. A familiar friend has trudged his way up the snowbank...Leo! He had survived! Leo looked at the baby, who did the " Where's the baby?" and did the same thing as he waved goodbye. The baby waved back as he and his father were already gone.

" Goodbye!" said Spazz still sniffling, " Save your breath Spazz. You know the humans are already gone," said Leo, Spazz perked up and turned around. " Leo? You're Okay!" shouted Spazz cheerfully as he ran towards him, " Nine Lives, baby," said Leo, Spazz ran to Leo and playfully tackled him. " You're okay! I could kiss you!" said Spazz as he kissed Leo on the head, but he quickly realized he was kissing Leo's mane and stopped to clean out his mouth. Fuzzy walked over to the two and said to Leo " Well, welcome back Leo. Want a lift?".

" No thanks, Fuzzy. I gotta save whatever dignity I got left," said Leo, " Well, you're hanging out with us now Leo. Dignity's got nothing to do with it. But I'll take that lift, Fuzzy," said Spazz, " Yeah, climb aboard Banana-Breath," said Fuzzy playfully, Spazz then climbed up Fuzzy's shoulder and cheerfully cheered " Yee-Haw! Mush!". Fuzzy looked at him with a confused look. " Oh, I'm mean let's go," said Spazz changing the subject, Fuzzy shook his head cheerfully and Leo chuckled as they started walking.

" This is gonna be the best winter vacation ever. I'll show you guys my favorite watering hole. I also turn brown when my fur dries out," said Spazz.

" That sounds very attractive," said Fuzzy.

" You know this whole ICE AGE thing is getting kinda old. Do you know what I could go for? Global Warming," said Spazz.

" Hmmm, not a bad title," said Fuzzy.

" Keep Dreaming Spazz," chuckled Leo.

The Three Toys walked off into the sunset, onto another adventure.
