Chapter Nine: Final Battle Part One

Starburst Lover: Ur trash bruh. I thought this story used to be good. No one likes you. I'm not here to read this dumb*** ****.
Umm. Those were some pretty harsh comments, and they hurt me. I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I can tell that whoever made those comments was a troll. Both comments were similar, and posted around the same time. So please tell me what i did wrong in this story. I am truly sorry, and I will change it. So, um here's the ninth chapter. We are reaching the end of this story.
Chapter Nine
"And coming back in three, two, one."
The machine roared to live again and the time travelers returned to the present.
"That was awesome!" Pym exclaimed.
"Do you have the-" Rhodey started to say. He stopped as he saw they did.
"Thane has not come." Michelle announced.
"Maybe he disn't know where we went." Cassie suggested. The Orb, which contained the power stone, the tesseract, the time stone, Loki's scepter, the soul stone and the Aether had the Infinity Stones extracted from them. Peter showed them his nanotech version of the Infinity Gauntlet. It was gray and white.
"Sorry, The convenience store ran out of paint." Peter joked. No one found it funny.
"Where's Groot?" Francis asked. Everyone looked at Rocket who hadn't spoken since they came back.
"He sacrificed himself for the soul stone." Rocket answered sadly.
"Oh no…" J.Q whispered. Groot had been a friend to Francis, Rocket, Lila, and J.Q. His death had left a gaping hole in everyone.
"Groot will not be forgotten for his good works." Toruun declared.
"Oh he won't." Rocket answered. "He gave me one of his twigs to grow a new version of him back." Later, Peter and Bruce used a machine to place the infinity stones into the gauntlet. They both took a deep breath from the other side off the protective glass.
"Boom!" Peter and Hulk practically jumped in terror. Rocket was laughing his face off.
"Seriously." Peter groaned.
"Works every time." Rocket chuckled. Rocket had a flowerpot in his hand that had Groot's twig in it.
Soon everyone gathered around.
"So we have the gauntlet, so all we need to do is snap." Bucky announced.
"That's should be easy." Lila answered.
"No. The power of the gauntlet would kill the person wielding it." Dr Strange said.
"If you snapped you would bascially be sacrificing yourself." Sam added.
"I'll do it." Everyone looked at Morgan.
"I would do anything to get my father back." She continued.
"No, Morgan." Peter answered.
"You wouldn't even get to see your dad if you died." Cassie quipped.
"With my enhanced strength, I could do it." James offered.
"I'll do it!" Pym suggested.
"No!" Everyome exclaimed.
"I will do it." Peter said. "I feel like the death of the Avengers was my fault. I feel like I could have saved everyone. I had the Infinity Gauntlet in my hands those many years ago. I remember running with it, but I was too hesitant. If only I had snapped, your parents would have been alive."
"You know we all felt the same way." Rhodey reassured. "You were only 17. You couldn't have."
"I'm not 17 anymore." Peter retorted. "And now is my chance."
"No!" Michelle cried. "You'd die!"
"Its the only way." Peter answered.
"How about we pick someone who wont die from snapping?" Toruun asked. "Dr Strange could protect himself with his magic.
"Most of the energy from the gauntlet is gamma radiation which is what had turned Bruce into the Hulk." Rocket explained.
"And I've snapped before. I brought everyone back before Thanos snapped everyone back to dust. I was so distressed because I nearly died for nothing. See my arm brace? The Gauntlet fried my arm and now its useless. I cant fry my other arm. When I had snapped it made me weaker. It could kill me if I did it again." Bruce answered.
"I think I'm the one for the job." Everyone pivoted to look at David who's face was pinched white.
"What do you mean?" Elodie asked quietly.
"I was experimented on by Thane. When Thane captured Hulk, he made his own version of gamma radiation and fused it with my body. Along with that, Thane copied his own DNA and fused it with me. When I turn into Ravager, I might even be more powerful than Bruce. And I have a regenerative healing factor." Most of them were shocked, especially Bruce.
"What?" Bruce exclaimed, not able to comprehend this.
"You don't have to do this." Morgan told him.
"Yeah. Peter just wants to be the superhero in movies who makes the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone so everyone can cry for him later." Ned Leeds quipped.
"Ned, That's not true. You should be with the other Scavengers." Peter said.
"Fine." Ned mumbled as he left the room.
"I want to do it." David admitted. "I don't want anyone else to die because I was too scared to do it myself."
"Get the gauntlet." Peter orders James. James nodded and returned with the metal Infinity Gauntlet which illuminated with the six infinity stones on it. David took a deep breath and transformed into Ravager. He slipped on the gauntlet and instantly volts of energy shot up his arm.
"Argh!" David/ Ravager shouted in pain. Elodie used her empathy powers to see what was happening to him. She yelped and stumbled into Toruun.
"He's going through so much pain!" Elodie gasped.
"You could read mind's this whole time?" Francis wondered.
"Do it!" Peter encouraged.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
SNAP.
Agh." David fell to the ground in pain. His right arm was burnt and red from the power of the gauntlet. The gauntlet slipped off of his arm as Ravager shrunk back into David.
"Rhodey, help me bring him to the medbay!" Bruce exclaimed. They picked him up and hauled him downstairs. Elodie hurringly followed after them.
"Cassie, call Captain Marvel. Tell her it worked." Peter commanded. "Azari, call Okoye and tell her to come."
"Where are they?" Pym demanded.
"I'm not sure." Peter answered. "I may have to hack some satlelites to see if it worked." Pym raced from the room and onto the balcony. He frantically waited for his parents to arrive. Then a large ring blocked the sky and Pym's eyes grew wide.
"Take cover!" Pym screamed as he shrunk just as the blasts started to hit the facility.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. Blue energy blasts tore the facility until the building crumbled to the ground. Thane no longer flew in a donut ship but a larger spacecraft triple the size of the donut.
"That should have killed them." Ebony Maw told Thane.
"Send our most loyal agent, Supergiant, to get the Infinity Gauntlet." Thane said. And release the outrider dropships."
"Yes, Master Thane." A kree woman wearing a white cloak got into a podship and flew to the facility.
Meanwhile, on the ground…
All Morgan saw was darkness. Her helmet had shielded her face from the explosion. Her body was trapped underneath the debris. Everything had happened so quickly. See tested her voice.
"Peter?" She croaked. The plaster above her was lifted off and Morgan shielded her face from the bright light. James had freed her and helped her up.
"What happened?" She asked.
"Thane is here." James answered. The duo walked through the debris and met with Toruun who stood angrily watching a purple man in bronze and black armor seated many yards away from them.
"What's it doing?" Morgan asked.
"It's a he. And he is just standing there." Toruun answered.
"Are you sure it's a he?" Morgan joked. "He looks like a goblin who drank too much grape juice."
The trio slowly approached Thane until the son of the mad titan was aware of their presence. Toruun drew her sword and James turned on his shield. Thane just smiled as if he didn't care that he was off guard.
"All these years," Thane addressed, "I've searched for a way to acquire the stones. They stones were the only way to resurrect my father, the almighty Thanos. But when you came along, you gave me hope. I might as well thank you for collecting the stones for me."
"Well, sorry, the gauntlet isn't for you." Morgan shot back.
"And we have snapped the gauntlet. Everyone Thanos killed will come back to life." James added. They expected a reaction from Thane, but he didn't change his behavior.
"It doesn't matter. I will reduce them to dust. One. By. One."
"You want the gauntlet? Well you have to go through us." Morgan said as her helmet covered her face. Thane smiled as if he was talking to children.
"I hate to fight children, but you give me no choice." Thane answered as he stood up.
"For Asgard!" Toruun shouted as the trio charged towards Thane. Thane stood facing them as he got into a defense position as his hands charged with cosmic fire.
Elodie opened her eyes at the sound of grunting from someone. Bruce was holding a large chunk of plaster which probably had dozens of layers piled on top since they were underneath the facility. Rhodey's leg braces were destroyed and he was on his hands crawling to look for a way out. David's arm was slowly healing. But he was in pain. Suddenly she sensed that another telepath was in her range. All she saw were the dim lights around her.
"I know you're there, Project Pyro." A feminine voice said telepathically.
"Who's there?" Elodie answered back in her mind.
"Oh, you forgot me already? That is offensive." The voice said. Elodie recognized the person. It was the very same lady who used to train her. Elodie remembered the hours of meditation and concentration that was almost torture. The lady, who called herself Supergiant, would force her to use her telepathic powers to torture Thane's prisoners or draw information from them. If she refused, Supergiant would do it herself and would force Elodie to watch as she would tear the prisoner's consciousness apart, which was hard to watch.
"What do you want?" Elodie cried out loud, and Rhodey and David glanced at her.
"I want you. And Project Gamma."
"I'm not your project anymore." Elodie answered back. She turned to face David.
"It's Supergiant, isn't it?" David groaned.
"We have to get out of here." Rhodey answered.
"I can't hold it!" Bruce grunted.
Meanwhile, Francis and Lila had survived the explosion but had crashed through the floor into some emergency escape tunnel along with the Infinity Gauntlet. Lila carefully picked it up and hooked it onto the back of her belt.
"What just happened?" Lila asked, helping her brother up.
"Are you seriously dangling a gauntlet that could disintegrate half of the universe from your utility belt?" Francis quipped.
"You got a problem? It makes me look cool." Francis didn't answer and shushed her. He nodded hard towards a noise down the tunnel. It took a few seconds before they realized not one, but multiple figures were running towards them.
"Go!" Francis cried. The archer duo took off down the tunnel. The creatures behind them were in hot pursuit. Francis armed himself with his bow and shot an arrow at one of the creatures, but it did not do much damage.
"We got to out run them!" Lila cried. They ran until they reached a dead end. Francis searched until he found a ladder leading up. The two frantically climbed up the ladder with the creatures coming after them. Lila quickly threw a gravity mine at the ground, blasting the creatures back and launching them up out of the tunnel and into the room they were once in before. They raced right into a woman with a white cloak.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Supergiant asked. Using her powers she mind controlled them to give her the gauntlet.
"Stop her!" A voice shouted. Supergiant turned around just as She was kicked back by Azari. Cassie grew to normal size and punched the telepath into the debris. J.Q pointed his guns at Supergiant but she mind controlled him and the son of Star Lord turned onto Azari and Cassie, firing blasts at the two. Supergiant then retrieved the gauntlet. Suddenly, Flames emitted from the debris blasting Supergiant away. Elodie emerged with flames trickling up and down her hands. Her hair was now all red.
"You have fire powers too?" Cassie marveled.
"That's why she is called Project Pyro." Supergiant said. She nodded at Elodie.
"You know what to do,'' she smirked. Grunting, Elodie fought mind to mind against Supergiant's mind control but the kree was too powerful. Elodie gave in and turned the flames onto her comrades.
Toruun flew faster and hurled Mlynoir at Thane. The son of the Mad Titan dodged it. Toruun grabbed James and launched him at Thane. James enlarged his energy shield and slammed it into Thane, but Thane stopped him in mid air and flung him to the side.
"James!" Morgan shouted. A large metal circle emerged from Morgan's back and Toruun sent a beam of electricity at it. The electricity charged up Morgan's suit and Morgan's suit absorbed the power and sent it as an energy beam at Thane. Thane absorbed the whole beam and shot it back at Morgan, flinging her into the debris. Toruun swung her axe at Thane's head but he dodged and blasted her with fire and flung Stormbreaker to the side. Toruun reached her hand to call back the battle axe, but Thane caught it and tried to stab her with it. As the two struggled to over power the other, someone lifted up Mlynoir and flung it at Thane, hurling him away from Toruun. Toruun looked to see Peter wielding Mjolnir. Thane shouted and flew as fast as light at Peter. Peter used his spider sense to leap over the inhuman and smacked Thane into the ground. Peter then summoned a bolt of lightning to strike Thane.
"You're worthy." Toruun gasped in surprise. Thane charged his hands with cosmic fire and sent rays towards Spider-Man. The webslinger leapt over the fiery rays and swung the hammer from a strand of webbing and hurled it at Thane, but Thane dodged and flew towards Peter and brought his fist at him. Peter blocked the hit with one of the claws from his back, but it shattered. Peter used his second metal claw, but it served shortly. Peter brought up his final two claws but they shattered. Thane then swung his fiery hand at Peter, flinging him into the sky.
"Give up the gauntlet." Thane commanded.
"Over my dead body." James said as he faced the purple man.
"Poor choice of words." Thane responded. Thane ws surprised when James slid under Thane's blasts and uppercuted him in the face. James used his shield to slam Thane into the stomach. Toruun flew with Stormbreaker and tried to decapitate him, but Thane grunted while struggling to stop his fatal death. Peter came with Mjonir and leapt onto Thane's back, sliding the hammer under his neck, trying to choke him. James held Thane's legs down and Morgan flew with her jet boosters about to blast him when Thane grew angry. Thane blasted James off of his feet and pummeled Toruun to the ground and hurled her at Morgan. Morgan dodged the hit. Thane yanked Peter off of his back and slammed him onto the ground. Then he grabbed Morgan's leg and slammed her back and forth onto the ground and then tossed her over his shoulder. Thane's spacecraft launched more outrider dropships. The Black order and Thane's army entered the dome. James stood up, bruised and bleeding.
"I am truly sorry." Thane said sarcastically. It was only one boy against a thousand. James armed himself with his shield and heroically refused to surrender, surprising Thane.
"You will not win today." James grunted. Thane just smiled. James was about to give up when he heard the sizzling of many portals behind him.
And we are reaching the end of this story. I am really sorry for disapointing you guys. I might have to delete this story if ya'al hate this so much.
