The Clone and the Jedi

Chapter 10: Pregnancy

. About 4 months later….

Stitch was currently at work welding together a tear in a ship's hull.

This was his average day. Helping around the station. Giving advice to O'Brien and Reds on certain things, and running to his beloved Chara if even the slightest thing went on with her pregnancy.

Nines was nearby, holding a tray of tools for Stitch to use.

Nines, "my sensors keep picking up signs of Imperial Star Destroyers, TIE Fighters and Shuttles in the area."

Stitch, "do they ever get close to the HideAway?"

Nines, "not usually. But I recommend we have ships on standby in case we need to evacuate."

Stitch, "a smart move."

Nines, "my calculations deduce it's the most logical plan."

Stitch, "yeah, but how many times did one of those Tactical Droids totally miss the mark in their calculations of victory?"

Nines, "we battle droids often lose count."

Stitch, "I rest my case."

Stitch got back to welding.

Meanwhile

Chara was resting on her bed, rubbing her growing stomach.

She was about four months along, and counted every minute until she would get to meet her little bundle of joy she and Stitch created.

She was always thinking of names for them.

But she wanted to wait until the baby was born before she and Stitch decided on a name.

Every other day, for the past couple of months, she received visits and gifts from her friends on the ship.

From normal stuff, like a crib for the baby, to a few small toys for them to play with.

To weird stuff, like a muzzle from Zarn, to a kid sized fibroblasts for when she got older.

Chars appreciated each gift, nonetheless.

And so, her thoughts wandered as she continued to rub her stomach.

...

Two months later.

Chara was walking down the hall with Stitch, who refused to leave her side by any means.

Chara, "could you please let me have a moment to myself?"

Stitch, "ain't gonna happen. I'm with you on this until the end."

Chara, "I'm not helpless. I'm just pregnant."

Stitch, "I know you're not helpless. You'll be able to protect our kid the best."

Chara, "So are you. You're one skilled fighter Stitch."

Stitch, "not as much as a Jedi."

Chara, "oh hush you."

The two chuckled as they continued their walk.

Meanwhile

Nines and Seven were hiding around the corner, watching their friend's

Nines, "they seem to be in a good mood."

Seven, "most organics are like this when a baby is on the way."

Nines, "I suppose you are correct. But they seem to be pushing it."

Seven, "agreed."

….

.three months later….

Stitch and Chara were currently sleeping soundly. They both felt at peace, since they knew that their child would be there any day now.

But suddenly, Chara felt a slight pain in her stomach.

She managed her way out of bed and saddled towards the bathroom.

She looked at her disheveled hair in the mirror, with very tired eyes.

That's when she felt a sharp jolt of pain.

She clutched the table tightly as she grunted.

She looked down at her stomach to see what the trouble was.

And that's when she saw a puddle of water at her feet.

"STITCH!"

Stitch immediately bolted out of bed.

Stitch, "what is it?! Are we under attack!?"

Chara, "no! My water broke!"

Stitch paused for only a moment as he scooped Chara into his arms, making a mad dash for the medical wing. Odeerg should have been up to help Chars give birth.

And if he wasn't, Stitch would wake him up.

….

Several minutes later, Stitch was pacing the hallway outside of his beloved's room where the doctors worked to help deliver the baby.

He had to stay outside as he heard his wife grunting in pain.

Zadn showed up with Amber, Seven, Nines and Red.

Red, "how is she?"

Stitch, "Odeerg says it'll be awhile before she comes out of labor."

Nines, "my calculations predict that she and the infant will be unharmed."

Stitch, "I hope you're right for once."

Nines, "as am I."

Amber, "you're acting exactly how my dad did when my mom was in labour. Maybe even worse."

Stitch, "I'm a soldier. I'm concerned about everything."

Zarn, "that's the case with all expecting father's. My father was beaming with pride when me and my siblings hatched."

Stitch smiled at the comforting words his friends gave him.

A long time seemed to go on as everyone awaited for the results.

Soon, Odeerg came out, wiping his hands with a rag.

Zarn, "well doc?"

Odeerg, "Chara is just fine. Extremely exhausted, but she'll be alright."

Stitch, "and…. Our child?"

Odeerg, "the baby's fine. Healthy, and a good weight."

Stitch let out a sigh of relief.

Odeerg, "you may see them now."

Stitch made his way inside of the room.

Everyone stayed behind, so the father could have some time along with his family.

Stitch approached Chara. She had tears of joy in her eyes as she held a small bundle of blankets.

Chara saw Stitch.

Chara, "Stitch. Come see her! She's beautiful!"

Stitch froze for a second as he processed the words.

She.

A daughter.

He had a daughter!

Stitch looked down at the bundle in her arms.

Peaking out of the blankets, was a small face with rosey cheeks. Her skin was a tan color, with a patch of blue over her left eye. Her eyes were a deep green. Her hair was streaked with brown and black.

Stitch, "she's beautiful. What should we name her?"

Chara, "how about…. Maya?"

Stitch, "Maya…. It's perfect."

As the couple looked at the baby who cooed at them, they almost didn't notice the bedpan floating in the air nearby.

Stitch, "uh, Chara?"

Chara, "don't look at me."

They looked down at Maya, who started giggling as the empty bedpan got closer to her little outstretched arms.

Chara, "well, that's a development."

Stitch, "we might wanna keep an eye on her."

Chara, "we were gonna do that anyway."

Stitch, "yeah, but you know what I mean."

Chara, "sure, sure."

Soon, they let everyone else in to see the child they had created together.

Everyone instantly fell in love with the little thing.

Heck, Nines actually altered his programming to protect the baby as she got older.

It was a few hours later when Stitch and Chara were back at home, watching their little Maya snuggled up in her crib.

Stitch, "she's so beautiful."

Chara, "like a perfect mix of us."

Stitch, "that patch of blue and the green eyes."

Chara, "the dark skin and hair."

Stitch, "she's…."

Chara, "...perfect."

The couple smiled at one another.

Their family felt whole.

And this feeling would carry on for a very long time.

….

I am SO sorry it's been so long since the last chapter. I swear, I didn't mean for nearly a year to pass before I returned to the world of Star Wars. I try to leave each chapter off on a good place to end if I ever wanna quit this story. But I know how many of you like this story, so I wanna end it on a good note, and not abandon it. That's why each chapter ends on a note that leaves it open ended for more.

So I had Chara give birth to her and Stitch's daughter, Maya, so we can leave it open ended for either another chapter, a sequel, or the end. Remember, will never abandon a story. J just sometimes take a long break.

I've just been really busy with my other stories. Dragon Ball Z: Alternate Love, and Ben 10: Alternate Alien. As well as planning future stories such as a Ben 10/Avatar crossover, A retelling of Fallout 3, a DCAU story I have yet to fully flesh out, and a retelling of the Star Wars sequel trilogy that makes changes for the better.

I have polls up almost all of the time, in case any if you are curious.

All of you have a good morning, good afternoon, good evening and good night.

And stay safe out there.
