Hey this is the last part of the searches (Don't worry not the last part of the story!) In this part we look into Raphael's search for Leonardo on the rooftops... enjoy :) DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN TMNT OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.

The Rooftops

It was cold, damp, miserable and tough. Here I was lookin' around New Yorks finest rooftops for my oldest brother Leonardo. Now you're probably thinking why? And so am I because when I find him.. he's a dead man... well... See the thing is when you're a mutant ninja turtle you're kinda already faced with some issues. One of them is that you don't get too mingle with humans , you don't get to be seen. You fight crime then go into the shadows and never take any credit. Now Leo he's great at going into the shadows half the reason we can't find this bozo. Running the roofs seemed to take forever but the truth was it had been an hour and I felt I had covered most of the city, now I know Leo probably the best and no chance would he venture out of the city for his lil stunt. I refuse to believe he's gone through with it, after the notes he left I hate to imagine his mind right now and I thought I was the dark and broody one.

Leo takes on a lot more than I would ever give him credit for, don't get me wrong we fight more than a cat and dog but the truth is I could never lead like he does. The responsibility, the planning... the burdens. He carries more on his shoulders than anyone I know and as I start to think back on all the things that have happened tears fall onto my cheeks.

"Look at me.. crying like a baby!" I wipe them away, I'm the tough guy but not when its about my bro's then I become my own weakness.

Pacing back and forth it had been another hour since my search began, where the hell was he! Anger filled my veins as I smashed my fist into the brick wall beside me, this wasn't going to find Leonardo but it sure as hell helped me. My shell cell began to buzz in my belt and for a brief moment I though... what if ?? Looking down I prayed for it to say

'We got him!' But it didn't... Donnie was texting about April and how she hadn't taken the news well, she's back in the lair with him. He wanted us to call off the search for now and head back to refuel and plan, Mikey agreed but me? No chance, in the space of the few hours we stop he could be lying in a gutter somewhere. So I replied with what my bro's probably expected:

"Staying out, you two help April and also get Casey down with the news... rest up and plan out tomorrow, don't worry about me"

It was the right thing to do, yes three eyes where better but when it came to our friends who needed us. We had to help. As time dragged it became clear to me that Leo may actually no longer be here, and could I let the other guys find him? No. It had to be me. I sat down and thought of anywhere I could search, and it hit me. There was a building just on the outskirts from here where we all use to train a few years back, a smile appeared on my face as this was where we kicked some serious foot butt. Before I knew it my legs were carrying me there, sprinting towards that rooftops. Daylight was soon to hit the city I knew I had to find him fast it was the last place he could be. As I approached the roof a hint of blue caught my eye... LEO! Tears in my eyes I ran as fast as I could, he was alive. Placing down his weapons I realized this was it.

"LEO! Don't ya fuckin dare!" I screamed at him, as if I was the one in pain. He turned to me with a faint smile, like he was glad to see me? Coulda fooled me that he was going to walk away from the edge and straight to me, but he didn't... I couldn't go any fast but as a small beam of sun hit his pale skin he fell backwards towards the ground. The smile wasn't that he was happy to see me, it was because he thought he had found peace. My heart was sinking, my scream echoing and my brothers frail body lying in a cold alley. I don't remember much after that, only a few things really.

I climbed down the building and grabbed him, holding him so tight. Crying like a baby, this wasn't a time to be tough. His eyes looked cold like he was dead, but I felt for a pulse and it was there.

"Why the hell did you do it Leo! The hell we're you thinking !" My hands trembling as I dialed for Donnie. Before I knew it they were here looking at me at my weakest, and Leo at his weakest. Imagine the irony. As I said I don't remember much else. Trauma does that to a person. Next thing I knew I was waking up back down the sewers in my bed six hours after we apparently got home with Leo.

My eyes started to flutter, I could see the lights of my bedroom and the figure of who I guessed was Mikey.

"Ugh my head" I rubbed the back of my neck, wondering what I did to cause my body so much ache.

"Dude you were out cold, Donnie got you in the truck with Leo and you just blanked. Exhausted most likely, we put you in here and well six hours later, morning" he was sat on a chair besides me as if I was being babysat, I moved to sit up ignoring the thumping in my head.

"And Leo?" I dared even ask, I was scared of the response. Mikey looked down his head bowed low.

"He's..."
