It took Christine a while to regain her parents' trust again to which she expected. Her parents were monitoring her closely, making sure she ate, slept, and kept her stress at a minimum. She had to write a report on the dangers of abusing pharmaceutical drugs and the damages it could lead to in a teenage girl. Her parents wanted to make sure she truly understood the harm she could potentially have done to herself. Her grounding continued up until Thanksgiving. She was refrained from going to the lab, the dinner, and the library. During that time she learned how much her parents loved her and treasured her. She didn't want to harm herself or hurt them in any way. Christine had successfully finished her first semester of her sophomore year with a 4.0 GPA without the help of any prescription drugs. She had managed to regain her parents trust and she was content with her life at home and her life at school. She no longer felt the need to prove herself to the world. Her own opinion of herself is what mattered and that is truly all that mattered.
Thanks so much reading guys! Many thanks from your fellow American friend. Let me know what you guys thought about it :)
