At Koshien Stadium
"Woahh it's a lot of people" said Kazuha looking around
"Of course it is ahou, Koshien always full of supporters and also baseball loving fans" said Heiji right beside her
As promised, Heiji and Kazuha invite Mouri's and Kudou's to watch Koshien match. Shinichi and Conan happen to wear the same shirt and hat which make it easier to identify them. Shinichi look down which notice that Conan is tired of walking so he quickly grab him and put him on his shoulders which surprised the boy
"O-oi?!" asked Conan surprised
"You should just tell me if you're tired. We don't want you to get lost after all" said Shinichi walking while looking at his brother above him
"Well sorry… thank you" said Conan blushing and holding Shinichi's hair
Kazuha look at the two while blushing which notice by both Heiji and Ran. Ran quickly goes near her
"What's wrong Kazuha-chan?" asked Ran
"Ah no it's just that Kudou-kun and Conan-kun are so close, Kudou-kun look so cool too" said Kazuha while blushing
Heiji start to get irritated hearing Kazuha's praise about Shinichi. Ran hold Kazuha's shoulder which Kazuha notice what it means and quickly shake her head and put her hands near her face
"Don't misunderstood Ran-chan… I'm just admiring him because he's very close to Conan-kun, it's like Kudou-kun is Conan-kun's big brother" said Kazuha trying to make Ran understand
"Well they are really brothers" thought Ran give a little laugh
Shinichi and Conan both look at the two ladies and look at each other
"Oi Conan… should this be a great time telling Kazuha-chan the truth about us?" asked Shinichi to his brother on his shoulders
"Eh well…"
"It's okay right, Hattori knows after all"
"Well Hattori figure it out… To be exact, he's being stupid before he knows the truth"
Heiji hear what the two talking about and goes beside them
"Oi it's not stupid okay" said Heiji unhappy with a remark
"Of course it is! I mean you thought I was Kudou Shinichi who shrunk! I mean what kind of law of science is that?!" said Conan while rubbing Shinichi's hair
"Oi stupid!" said Heiji who look at Shinichi who seems just heard about it for the first time try to hold his laugh but failed
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
Shinichi's laugh successfully grab everyone including other people attention which make Kogoro, Ran and Kazuha slightly embarrassed by his actions
"Shinichi! You are being too loud" scold Ran to his childhood friend
"Ah sorry sorry.. It's just that I just heard something so funny and stupid at the same time HAHAHAHA"
"What is it anyway? I'm curious" asked Kazuha interested
"Oh you don't have to-"
Before Heiji continue his words and do anything, Conan push Shinichi's head which make Shinichi's body move forward and smirking to Ran, Kazuha and Kogoro
"I will tell!" said Conan while looking at Heiji who seems to be embarrassed
Few moments later
Ran, Kazuha and Kogoro laugh their lungs out due to what Conan just told them. Six of them now are sitting at their seats in the stadium waiting for the match begin. Shinichi also can't help to laugh after hearing full story from his brother
"Heiji is stupid I don't think to be that kind of stupid" said Kazuha while wiping her tears of laughter
"I'm sorry Hattori-kun but it's too funny" said Ran calming down
Heiji just hide his face of embarrassment. It was when Conan, Ran and Kogoro are going to a Holmes freak tour. At first, both Kudou brothers are joining but Shinichi suddenly got a call for a case at Gunma which make him no choice not to join, so he ask Ran to be Conan's guardian
That time, Heiji happen to join as well because he thought that Shinichi also joining. Since Heiji want to meet the famous Kudou Shinichi for the first time. He actually visit Ran few weeks before to meet Shinichi but that time both Shinichi and Conan are on trip to Hokkaido for a case since that day happen to be a long weekend so he fail to meet him.
Heiji meet Conan for the first time in Holmes freak tour and Conan shows amazing detective skill which make Heiji thought that Conan is actually Shinichi who shrunk into a seven years old since it has been two months since Shinichi is on media for solving cases. He didn't believe that Conan is a freeloader at Kudou's house and still set that Conan is Shinichi. After the tour ends, Heiji secretly follow Conan home and which to see the real Kudou Shinichi greeting him at the door. Conan actually notice that Heiji is following so he invite him to his house and he stays overnight to know more about Shinichi and he deduct the truth about Conan that time.
"Well can't be helped! This kid is too smart, not to mention he didn't budge at murder cases so I was sure that he's Kudou Shinichi" said Heiji while looking at Shinichi who's sitting beside him
"Hahaha well this kid indeed too smart for his age and he already see dead bodies before he was with me due to my dad helping police in LA" said Shinichi while holding Conan's head
"It's your fault too for not joining that Holmes freak tour. I'm so tired of him interrogating me about you" said Conan looking at his brother
"Can't be helped… I have been called to solve a bigger case at Gunma, but in the end you didn't get that limited Sherlock Holmes book"
Kazuha tries to calm down after hearing it since that was so funny it hurts her stomach. Ran also can't help to laugh too. Conan look at Shinichi as if they are now having conversation with their mind and Shinichi nod to him.
"Ran-neechan" said Conan looking at Ran
"What is it Conan-kun?"
"You can tell Kazuha-neechan… about my secret"
Ran was surprised by Conan's words. Kazuha was confused hearing what Conan said, Kogoro who hears it seems interested
"Oh so you believe at her now?" asked Kogoro to the boy in glasses
"Well Kazuha-neechan already very close with us especially with Ran-neechan, not to mention it's not fair that Hattori knows about it" said Conan smiling
Ran was unsure until he look at her childhood friend and nod to her, it seems he's the one who ask Conan to tell Kazuha
"What is it? I'm confused" said Kazuha looking Ran
"Well actually Conan-kun is…"
Ran whisper the truth to Kazuha so that no one hears it but Kazuha eyes shot up and stand up in surprised
"EEHHHH CONAN-KUN AND KUDOU-KUN ARE-"
"SSSHHHHH!" shout all of them to Kazuha who suddenly shouting
"Eh ah… hehehe, is it true Conan-kun!?" whisper Kazuha to Conan
"Yeah, it's true… you want to see my student ID?" asked Conan while taking his wallet
Conan give her his student ID which shows a name Kudou Conan instead Edogawa Conan which confirmed that he is indeed a Kudou family and of course, Kudou Shinichi's little brother
"Wuah it's true… but why keep it a secret?" asked Kazuha to Conan
"Well… come here"
Kazuha bend down to Conan size and Conan whisper her the reason to which surprised her but before she argue, Conan seems to told her another thing to which she just smile
"Ehh I see… then thank you for believing in me. I will keep it secret for you" said Kazuha sweetly
"Thank you Kazuha-neechan" said Conan smiling to Kazuha
"Well, if Kazuha-chan is already been confirmed by the brat. Then if she and detective brat are dating then the brat in glasses should be agree right?" said Kogoro while using his telescope to see the cheerleaders
"Oi oi…" said Conan seems didn't agree with the words
Suddenly he feel a very menacing aura behind him which to be Hattori Heiji who have been glaring at Shinichi after Kogoro said that and of course the girl side too, which Kazuha feel it and try to calm Ran down. Conan just laugh at them and look at the field to see that the cheerleaders are practicing and Kazuha then pat Conan's shoulder
"Nee Conan-kun, but why are you name as Conan? I'm surprised that you're the only one who have a foreigner name in your family" asked Kazuha in low voice
"Ahh… it his fault" said Conan while pointing at his brother
"Hm?" asked Shinichi who notice being talk
"You're the one who name me right" staring at his brother
"Oi oi… I'm just joking that time but mom and dad take it seriously… To be honest, I don't even know that mom was pregnant that time"
"EH?! tell me more!" asked Kazuha to both Shinichi and Conan
Again, two people seems unhappy with the vibe that comes between Kazuha, Conan and Shinichi. Kogoro who look at his daughter try his best to not look at her since she secretly let out a dangerous aura. Three of them just talking without realize the unhealthy stares coming from Ran and Heiji
"Woahh so you two have the same birthday?!" said Kazuha impressed
"Ahh… Conan should have born around June but he's born one month early and that day happens to be the same date as mine" said Shinichi while patting Conan
"I see, then Ran-chan… you always prepare gifts for both of them?" asked Kazuha to Ran beside her
"Eh um… well I only celebrate Conan-kun's birthday one time which is year ago and happen to be in LA. That time, Conan-kun haven't moved to Japan" said Ran explaining and also already calm down
"Oh I see, then you just recently live with Kudou-kun now? Why suddenly?"
Conan look at Shinichi as if preoccupied to answer Kazuha's question but suddenly Heiji interfered
"Oi the game is about to start" said Heiji glaring at Shinichi and Kazuha
"Ah ha… we will talk again later" said Shinichi to both Kazuha and Conan
The game begin with the ceremony from the both teams. As the game officially start, Inspector Otaki arrive and sit beside Heiji. All of them are enjoying the play until suddenly Conan notice a phone lying under him. He quickly give it to Heiji and he overheard what they are talking
"Oi oi… what's wrong?" asked Shinichi to his brother
Conan put his finger on his mouth tell him to shut up and continued listen to it, moments later Heiji close the call and get up
"Let's go Otaki-han" said Heiji
"Eh? where are you going Heiji?" asked Kazuha
"To find the owner of this phone of course"
"But why with Otaki-han too?"
"If we search with Inspector Otaki, we will find the owner faster after all" said Conan smiling who also get up
"You are coming too?" asked Shinichi to his brother
"Um! it sounds interesting after all, do you want-"
"Ahh don't worry Kudou, the big Kudou should stay here and guard the ladies and the pervert old man" said Heiji stopping Conan from making Shinichi coming with them
Shinichi seems didn't find the fact amusing but he have no choice to stay since Heiji also right that he have to guard Kogoro who's looking at the cheerleaders rather than the match
Time Skip~
"YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING?! THERE WAS A SERIAL BOMBER AT KOSHIEN?!" shout Kazuha in the car
Conan and Shinichi sit in front of the car with Kogoro driving while Ran, Heiji and Kazuha sit behind since they are now heading back to Heiji's house
"Yeah… now Otaki-han is questioning him at the police station" said Heiji beside her
"That explains Conan-kun ask for dad's radio" said Ran looking at Conan who sit on Shinichi's lap
"Aahh… since the culprit give us a code and the deadline is at the game"
Ran sigh in relief but then he sees Shinichi who seems to be glaring at Conan in slight irritated mood. Ran remember that Shinichi did stay with her, Kazuha and Kogoro to watch the game the whole time while Heiji, Conan and Inspector Otaki are looking for the phone owner or should we say, the bomber
"Oh yeah why you two didn't ask Shinichi to help? He was sitting with us all the time after all" asked Ran to Heiji and Conan
"Ahh someone seems mad so when I ask to let Shinichi-niichan join the search when the bomber give us the code, he yelled me and said 'we don't need more people, just three of us is fine' he said" said Conan smirking to Heiji
"It seems that person also mad because I didn't let him joining the Serial bomber that threaten the police headquarters in Tokyo week ago" said Shinichi glare at Heiji
"Can't be helped, it is case on my side" said Heiji smirking happily
Shinichi just rolled his eyes and Conan tried to calm his brother down. Well since Heiji did invite Conan so it makes him unfair to leave in the dark, Heiji only smirk but then he realize something that make him irritated the most. Kazuha never leave her eyes from Shinichi and Conan
Time Skip~
At Heiji's house
It was already night, Ran just get out from the bathroom and about to visit Shinichi and Conan's room until suddenly she stop her track and see that Shinichi, Conan and Kazuha are talking with each other in front of Shinichi and Conan's room. Since Heiji's house is Japanese style house so they sit down and look at the backyard view. Ran hide by the hall way and spying on three of them
On Shinichi, Conan and Kazuha's side
"Eeehhh so that's why Heiji let you to call him without -niichan… You really are smart Conan-kun" said Kazuha while holding both Conan's hands
Conan just smile to Kazuha since she just known about his secret being Kudou Shinichi's little brother and other things about himself.
"But are sure Kazuha-neechan to be here? It's already night" asked Conan to the teenage girl beside her
"It's fine, my dad and Heiji's dad happen to have a meeting in the headquarters so my dad told me to stay here until he came"
"Ehh it's hard huh to be the girl of the police officer" said Shinichi while putting his hands on the floor to hold his body from falling behind
"Hehehe I already get used to it… but still I'm more interested about you two, especially you Conan-kun… I never thought you have been through all of that" said Kazuha while hugging Conan
"It's fine Kazuha-neechan… Now I'm alright since Shinichi-niichan always there for me"
"You two really are very great brothers"
Both Shinichi and Conan can't help to smile since almost rare seeing someone so curious and amaze by their relationship as brothers. Well it is brother relationship between high school detective and Kid Killer so why no one is not interested to know more about the brothers
"Just don't tell anyone okay, even Hattori doesn't know this, the people who really know just Ran-neechan, Haibara and Professor Agasa" said Conan with a finger on his mouth
"Okay, your secret is safe with me, you also told me that Heiji sometimes ask you to do his homework right?" asked Kazuha to the little boy
"Yeah… more like he force me to… that hot headed detective"
"Ahahaha you will get used to it, Heiji always like that"
Shinichi look at the Kansai girl and smile which grab both Kazuha and Conan's attention
"What's wrong?" asked Conan to his brother
"Nee Kazuha-chan, do you by chance… like Hattori?"
Kazuha suddenly blush hearing Shinichi's question. She quickly stand up to the grass and start telling the Kudou brothers that she didn't like him which they didn't take it well
"Ah who am I kidding… you two are detectives after all" said Kazuha slapping his forehead
"Hahaha…" laugh Shinichi
"Well that's fine Kazuha-neechan, even my brother like-"
Shinichi blush and hurriedly cover Conan's mouth from talking more. Kazuha became interested and then walk closer to the brothers
"Who? Ran-chan?" asked Kazuha closely to the brothers
"Eh ah well…"
Kazuha grinning hearing Shinichi stammering voice which confirmed her question
"I knew it, you two are childhood friends after all" said Kazuha smiling
"Well… ahahaha"
On Ran's side
She became really curious since she can't hear anything but she see that Kazuha suddenly blush and also Shinichi too. Conan just smile seeing both of their reaction as if they're really having a good time. Ran suddenly feel a menacing aura which she look behind and saw Heiji who seems glaring at the three people
"Ha… Hattori-kun?" asked Ran nervous
"Ahh neechan, I'm getting curious about them" said Heiji in anger
Ran look at his hand which to be holding a paper that already half crushed by Heiji's hands
"What is that Hattori-kun?" asked Ran while pointing a paper
"Ahh invitation for a restaurant opening party that I mention… the party will be held tomorrow night and it's just few blocks from here, I was going to give this invitation to the two Kudou but I think I will make them remain unknown"
"Why?"
"Look at the owners"
Ran read thoroughly and understand what he means. The Kudou brothers will surely love to attend the party, but what did they know… It also will be the worst party of their lives
Time Skip~
At the restaurant
Shinichi and Conan are eating together far from the others, suddenly Heiji sit beside Conan which surprised both of them
"Oi Kudou… what did you two talk with Kazuha last night?" asked Heiji serious to the brothers
"Hm? Why you ask?" asked Conan
"Just answer"
Shinichi and Conan look at each other and then look at Heiji again
"She just ask about Conan's life before he moved with me" said Shinichi
"That's all?" asked Heiji still glaring at both of them
"Yeah… she also ask about why I call you just Hattori without -niichan, well basically just talk about me" said Conan seems covering the last conversation from Heiji
"Hmmm I see I see… I almost thought-"
Shinichi and Conan look at Heiji in amused look which Heiji caught off guard. He quickly stand up and goes to where Kogoro is eating
"That boy really need to hold his anger issues" said Conan staring at the Kansai detective
"You could say that… but I'm surprised you told Kazuha-chan about when you were at LA and about that, we don't even tell Hattori about it" said Shinichi to Conan
"Well Kazuha-neechan is more reliable than that detective. Girls intend to keep secret better than boys well except Sonoko-neechan"
"That I agree… but Ran also have a hard time to keep secrets"
"As expected from her childhood friend" said Conan smirking to his brother
Suddenly the lights turn off and a center light was focus on the stage. The two brothers put their plates on the table and go toward where Heiji, Kazuha, Ran and Kogoro are. The MC start the party and introduce the three owners. When the last one is call, both Shinichi and Conan was surprised and then open their mouths in awe
"No way…" "Wow…" said both brothers who catch attention the other four
"Lucky right we are here?" said Heiji smirking to the brothers
"Definitely!" said Shinichi still focusing on the last owner
The last owner is to be Ray Curtis, both Shinichi and Conan's soccer idol. As the soccer athlete goes to the stage, both brothers can't take their eyes away from him
"Awesome…" "It's really him" thought both Shinichi and Conan together
The talk continue by interviewing the three owners, as they were explaining the restaurant's name, Ed McCay interrupt and brings up Ray's bad scandal in Japan to which make the hall environment became heavy due to Ed's remark. The MC tried to ask question to the invited guests but they are too quiet
No one notice that a certain boy seems letting out his detective notebook and take a big breath. Moments later, he raise his hand
"Yes!" shout the boy which grab everyone's attention
"O-Oi" said Kogoro and Heiji surprised
"Oi Conan" said Shinichi surprise by his little brother's action
"Conan-kun?!" said both Ran and Kazuha surprised
"Oh the young boy over there, please come up to the stage" said the MC
Conan goes to the stage and Shinichi seems staring at his little brother's behavior, Ran was surprised but then she notice that Conan holding his notebook, he look at him and to Shinichi and giggle
"What's wrong Ran-chan?" asked Kazuha
"Ah no, it seems Conan-kun will lighten the mood"
"Eh?"
Conan already on the stage and look amaze to the three owners especially the soccer athlete. The MC bend down to his size.
"Please ask your question" said the MC to Conan
"It's actually a request… would you sign this for me Ray?!" said Conan giving his notebook to Ray
"Oi oi!" said Shinichi surprised by his brother while the other guests laugh by the child's sudden request
"You can't?" asked Conan holding his embarrassment
"They can't, they didn't come to sign" said the MC to Conan but Ray push him away and bend down to Conan size
"Okay, you helped relax this party. We will think of this as a present" said Ray to the boy
"Thank you very much!" said Conan happily
The other guests clap their hands by the scene while Shinichi just smile embarrass by his little brother's act. Ran and Kazuha just giggle looking the boy while Heiji just give sarcastic laugh
"He really is a grade schooler" said Heiji to Shinichi
"That glasses brat really did himself" said Shinichi smiling
Ray then offer him to give his sign with one of the soccer jersey on the display which he agrees immediately. The MC whisper him that it was for the guests but Ray said it's fine since there's three more. Ray immediately signs it for Conan
"Young boy, what's your name?"
"Um… can you make it for two people?"
"Of course, who and who?"
"To Shinichi and Conan please?" asked Conan smiling which surprised his big brother who listen to it
"Who is it?"
"The big brother who's with me here, over there. His name is Kudou Shinichi, he was the one who introduce you to me" said Conan looking at Shinichi as if pointing with his eyes
"I see… you're a kind little brother"
"Hehehe"
Shinichi who sees it can't help to smile, his little brother just force his pride getting Ray's sign for both of them. Not to mention, he deliberately ask for his name also written in there and introduce him to Ray himself. Well Conan also knows that the one who've been admire Ray for long time is him rather than Conan who just got interested in soccer for only two years
"Man… his guts are crazy as usual" thought Shinichi smiling
"Shinichi very happy huh, Conan just introduce you to Ray" said Ran mocking his childhood friend
"Shut up" said Shinichi blushing
Conan gets down from the stage and put the signed jersey on the table. Shinichi bend down to his size
"What were you thinking?" asked Shinichi to his little brother
"Can't be helped, I want it so much" said Conan blushing looking away
"And you said I was crazy. You should look at the mirror for once"
"Shut up… here"
Conan give Shinichi a ticket, Shinichi look at the ticket which to be a soccer match ticket
"Oi this is?!"
"Ray give this to me for the exhibition match tomorrow at Nagai. He give me two tickets since I just said that you are with me" said Conan showing his own ticket
"He's pretty generous" said Heiji who look at the tickets
"They did ask me something in return, with this"
Conan showed a walkie talkie to all of them and they are confused. Moments later, all of them are outside and Conan give a thoroughly English instructions by the walkie talkie
"I see, they want to make a letter K using the rooms" said Kogoro looking a the lights
"But why they do it themselves?" asked Kazuha
"They planned it to do it themselves" said Conan answering Kazuha
"Well if one of them comes out, it will be chaotic so by chance he ask Conan to help them look for it from outside" said Shinichi looking at Conan
"But still his English still perfect as ever. I should have give him more of my English homework" said Heiji looking at Conan talking with English
"Homework should be done by yourself Heiji!" said Kazuha angrily
Shinichi and Ran just giggle at both Kansai argue, suddenly the other guests stare at awe which the K is completed. Suddenly a gunshot was heard from one of them room, the three owners rush out from the room and ask what happen by the walkie talkie. Shinichi, Heiji and Conan rush inside the hotel and to the source of the gunshot.
When they arrived to the room, to which to their surprised to see the dead body of Ed McCay. The three detectives examined the body thoroughly and see something unusual which is Ed seems holding his belt and make three finger sign with his hand
"This is…" "Dying message" said both Conan and Shinichi seriously
The police arrives and examine the body. Heiji told Inspector Otaki about what he know and did outside of the hotel. In the hotel making the letter K, Ray was responsible for the 1st and 2nd floors, Mike was responsible for the 3rd and 4th floors, and Ricardo was responsible for the 5th floor. That means any of those three could have possibly committed the crime. Judging from the three athletes' past, they all have motives.
Just as he told him that, Shinichi then said that the killer may have use the advantage when they arrive to the room to go away. So the suspects are not only three but all of the guests. Conan tell Inspector Otaki about the dying message in the body.
"The keys to figuring this out are the three fingers on the right hand and white bandou in his left.." said Inspector Otaki
"Bandou?" asked Kogoro
"You don't know? Bandou refers to a leather belt in the west"
"Ah he don't know western sayings" said Heiji lazily
Conan became serious after hearing what Inspector Otaki just said. He look at his brother and stay look at the body in serious face especially on the fingers
"This is just a coincidence… right" thought Conan serious
Time Skip~
After the police do body check on some of the guests. Heiji ask for the result and for now they didn't find anything. Inspector Otaki began to suspect more to the three owners but Heiji said that Ed seems wasn't killed over the scandals which confused Inspector Otaki. As of that, Shinichi step up
"It's because he just lost the case!" said Shinichi to inspector Otaki
"They sued him for their innocence. Those three may have dislike him.." said Conan
"But not enough to kill him" continued Shinichi
Heiji look at the brothers in surprised and serious
"Oi Kudou… what's wrong… what's stopping you two?" thought Heiji serious looking at the brothers
