Chapter eight
Gwen entered the main hub, expecting the smell of coffee flooding the space, but no such smell came to her nose. She looked around for Ianto, he was probably in the achieves. She glanced to Jack's office, he was doing paperwork, but she noticed the old bookshelf that hadn't move in years was in a different place. She walked towards her desk and started to review the reports of the weekend, she hoped that Ianto emerged with coffee. Tosh and Owen came through the cog door with four coffees, tosh was carrying a quite large suitcase. Weird she thought.
"Morning" she said."how was your weekend?"
"Exhausting" Owen said handing her a coffee " my mum was in town"
"Now what you meen" she said sipping her coffee "this is rubbish coffee"
"Suck it up" he said bitterly "tea boy is not coming in"
"Is Jack in?" Asked Tosh.
"Yeah" Gwen answered "in his office"
"Thanks" Tosh said walking towards Jack's office, the suitcase in her hand. She knocked on the door " Jack, Ianto sent you some clothes and stuff"
"Thanks" Jack said." Could you tell everyone to meet in there boardroom in five?"
"Of course" she nodded
Gwen, Owen and Tosh was sitting round the board wanting for their walked in with an air of professionalism the team had not seen before, he sat and listened to all of the reports with out making any jokes. He has started to freak every one out, once every one had finished, he stood up moved to the front.
" As dictated by Torchwood protocol 1467" he said and every one looked at each other since when did Jack followed protocol? "As head of Torchwood, I am obliged to inform you that this morning Torchwood agent 5890 Ianto D. Jones. Head archivist of Torchwood three and level five field agent, has resigned for personal reasons." He paused only Gwen looked shocked " Agent Jones has been with Torchwood for the past eighteen years and therefore wiping his memory is not feasible" that was not the only reason why only the official one " but it is assured that the Torchwood secrets won't be leaked " He paused and relaxed a bit " on a personal note I suppose that you all know about the incidents that happened this weekend between Ianto and I regarding our marriage. I just want to say that it was totally my fault and there's no excuse for what I did . I understand completely if you hate me for hurting him, good knows I do but we're still a team and we need to work together " he walked out of the room with out saying another word, leaving the team in an uncomfortable silence .
