Hi sorry for not posting for the entire year, this year was rough as I don't need to remind anyone and it hit my family pretty hard. I still want to do this story so here is the LONG LONG overdue Ch 10. Feel free to make me aware of any mistakes and enjoy!
As Krillin moved to Caulli the Saiyaness grumbling her eyes opening as she regained consciousness "Krillin?" she asked confused before placing her hands on the floor she laid to push herself up only to his in pain. Krillin took out a pouch that held the senzu beans quickly counting how many they had left, in total there were a total of six beans left he'd have to use up almost all of them to heal everyone. Krillin gritted his teeth; they'd only have one senzu left; they couldn't risk a one-sided battle like that again.
Caulli growled, pushing herself up fighting against the pain in her neck, she bit her lip as she nursed her injury looking around seeing Grimoire splayed on the road a few feet from her. "Grimoire..." she mumbled concerned for her friend she stood up feeling dizzy falling to the side before Krillin caught her "Hey, take it easy Caulli here take this," Krillin said, handing her a senzu bean. Caulli looked at the senzu in her hand, remembering Krillin telling her of their incredible healing properties, taking the bean Caulli stumbled her way over to Grimoire Krillin, focusing on healing the others.
Grimoire, wheezing, and motionless, he seemed to still be attentive to the relief of the young girl as she knelt down to her friend "Grimoire," she called out to the frost demon, eyes cracking open to looking at her Grimoire groaned in pain coughing heavily. "Caulli...Thank goodness your okay" Grimoire croaked out his voice low and grating. The Saiyans could see a hand mark on her friend's neck, beginning to form into a bruise. She gently lifted up, Grimoire the frost demon gritting his teeth. "Here take this Grimoire," Caulii said as she presented the bean to his mouth Grimoire opening his mouth as caulli placed it in his mouth.
Chewing on the bean, then swallowing Grimoire lurched forward, feeling a wave of relief and energy surge through him; standing up, Grimoire flexed his fingers, all signs of fatigue and damage done without a trace. He felt his neck and didn't feel pain; the bruise having completely faded thanks to the senzu bean, turning to Caulli, the Saiyan girl examined him a look of relief on her face.
"Those beans sure are incredible, huh?" Caulli asked Grimoire nodding in agreement, "Truly they are remarkable. However, I'm sure we've lost almost all of our supply to heal everyone here." Grimoire replied, turning to everyone else as they slowly got up Krillin, feeding more than one bean to Vegeta. Grimoire narrowed his eyes at the prince's anger welling up inside him, with a deep breath he pushed that anger back down now wasn't the time for that. "Let's go to the others, we need to discuss what happens next," Grimoire said before walking over to the others who had grouped around Krillin. "So, what happened Krillin? You were the last one left after the android took us out" Piccolo asked Krillin clenched his fists "Nothing they left me alone to head to Goku... they knew about the senzu's beans as well and told me to help you guys" Krillin replied sourly lowering his head.
Sweat trickled down everyone's face. "What, the androids even knew about the Senzu beans!" Piccolo said, shocked that even that one of their ace's in this fight was well known by the enemy, "It doesn't make sense they know everything about us, so why let us go?" Tien asked arm's shaking. "Those two could have easily finished all os us; they were just toying with us for the hell of it," Tien growled. Caulli lowered her head, ashamed at how little she and Grimoire contributed. She and Grimoire promised to help them save this world from the androids, but even when training for 3 years to get stronger, they barely made a difference. "Damn it, this is all Vegeta's fault," Tien stated Caulli not sure what he meant, but Piccolo stepped forward. "Don't blame him; we all underestimated the androids, which was a mistake" Piccolo said, "I disagree Piccolo" Grimoire spoke up everyone present in the conversation turning to him.
"I admit that these androids were far stronger than we thought along with other unfortunate events, but the primary perpetrator of our current situation came from Vegeta's reckless behavior," Grimoire declared, looking over to the prince who was not paying attention to the discussion. "Vegeta let his pride get in the way this isn't some battle for glory, we are fighting to make sure this planet survives the androids to do so we can't just rush in blind" Grimoire. Piccolo sighed "Even so we can't focus on that right now we can't make any more mistakes like this again, the Androids will not be as merciful next time" the Namekian replied before a blast of wind washed over the Group as Vegeta flew off on his own.
Trunks run off powering up to follow his father "Trunks don't" Grimoire said the Saiyan turning to him "Vegeta wants to be alone you going after him will make more problems for all of us." Grimoire stated Trunkks lowering his head, gritting his teeth as Piccolo watched as Vegeta disappeared. "Ever since he became a Super Saiyan, his ego has consumed him. Honestly, the biggest that was hurt in the fight was his pride," Piccolo remarked. Grimoire crossed his arms "Let's hope this humbles him enough to actually cooperate with us" Grimoire said bitterly, Caulli placing a hand on his shoulder "Take it easy Grim, we're still alive, so we still have a chance to win next time." she said with a small, tense smile. "I can understand how Vegeta must feel, he trained so hard we all did, but it amounted to nothing in the end," Tien said sourly "No Tien," Krillin said, "I should've of helped you guys I just couldn't muster the courage to do so."
"Don't sweat it, Krillin, Trunks, and Vegeta are super Saiyans, yet it took only a few strikes from the androids to beat them down, if you joined in the fight, it likely wouldn't have made a difference" Piccolo said. Krillin clenched his fist, frustrated at the truth of the namekins words. "Oh, I wish Goku was here!" Krillin muttered. "I'm not sure if even Goku could have made a difference" Tien admitted looking to Trunks "Trunks you defeated Frieza single-handedly you are one of the most powerful people I know, but the androids threw you aside like trash" Tien stated, "I know Goku's strong, but I can't imagine him being that much stronger than you or Vegeta."
Grimoire lowered his head. "Yeah, Goku's is powerful, but I can't fathom him being that powerful, and I don't see how he can gain such power so quickly since we are out of time to train" Grimoire explained Caulli scowling at how hopeless the situation felt. "It doesn't make any sense the Androids in my time were powerful but not this powerful." Trunks admitted everyone looking at the Saiyan wide-eyed, "What do you mean?" Caulli asked hands, shaking from what Trunks told them. "The Androids were stronger than me in my time, but these Androids are on an entirely different level; it's insane" Trunks said growling in frustration.
"If that's the case, then what do we do know?" Krillin asked, "You guys head to Goku's and keep him safe. He should recover soon, but we can't let the androids find him before then," Piccolo responded, Krillin smiling with hope. "Yeah, once Gokus well, we can figure this out, but... Piccolo, what are you gonna do?" Krillin inquired the Namekian looking into the sky eye twitching, "I don't know..." he replied coldly. Krillin moved closer to Piccolo. "Come on, I can tell you have some sort of plan, tell us we're friends, aren't we?". Piccolo gritted his teeth veins bulging on his head. "Stop asking questions; it's none of your concern!" he yelled suddenly enraged, surprising everyone in Piccolo's sudden switch in behavior.
"What's going on, Piccolo?" Grimoire asked, but Piccolo growled at him. "Stay back, this is something I have to do alone!" Piccolo screamed before firing a blast past everyone creating a blinding flash of light as the Namekian sored into the sky. "Don't follow me; just find Goku. Anyone who follows will regret it!" Piccolo yelled before flying off, "What's that about, did I miss something?" Tien asked, "I have no idea I've never seen Piccolo be so hostile before." Grimoire replied deeply confused by Piccolo's actions; he was one of the most level headed warriors he knew what had gotten him so worked up?.
Krillin smiled "Don't worry Piccolo is still on our side, we'll see him again soon enough" he stated confidently, "Do you have any clue what he plans to do?" Caulli asked Krillin shook his head "No idea, what I do know is that we can't lose the next battle with the androids and if we want town we do everything we can" Krillin replied "Whatevers Piccolo's up to it's just what he thinks he has to do to change to odds, so let's not sweat it and head to Goku Okay" Krillin remarked smiling. "What are you saying, Krillin?" Tien asked, still confused by the confidence in his friend's words, "Tien, you saw the direction Piccolo flew in right?" Krillin replied, pointing where Piccolo took off the top. "Is this meant to be a trick question? come on, Krillin, just tell me," Tien said, "He's going to Kami's house!" Krillin said happily.
"Kami's house? why would he go there?" Tien inquired Caulli looked at Grimoire, "Who's Kami?" she asked "He's another Namekian like Piccolo who lives in someplace in the sky, Goku's told me he's the guardian of the earth and that he and Piccolo are two halves of the same being" Grimoire explained. Caulli blinking a few times, "How does that work?" Grimoire shrugged his shoulders. Goku didn't know himself, and the concept seemed utterly impossible to Grimoire. "Exactly, Master Roshi told me long ago that if Piccolo and Kami were to fuse, they would become the strongest warrior in the universe, Piccolo is way stronger than he's ever been meaning that if he fuses with Kami, he'll be the strongest Namekian alive." Krillin declared, "Who knows perhaps he may become stronger than a Super Saiyan" Grimoire and Caulli looked to each other skeptical of the claim.
If it indeed turns out that way then they would have a game-changer, Caulli was hopeful for the needed advantage though Grimoire remained skeptical of the supposed power this fusion would bring. However, he'd believed a super Saiyan to be the pinnacle of power in the galaxy. Still, then the androids proved him wrong; perhaps this unification of the two Nameks would truly be as powerful as Krillin claimed. "Wait if they fuse won't the dragon balls no longer work?" Tien pointed out, "Is this true?" Grimoire asked if they lost the dragon balls, then they had no way to revive anyone who the androids killed. "It's possible, but it's better they become a stronger whole than we lose the dragon balls if Piccolo were to be killed by the androids" Krillin reasoned. "Then what about my fa- I mean Vegeta?" Trunks asked with worry written across his face."
Krillin smiled at the worried Saiyan "It's okay trunks no need to hide it, we all know about Bulma and Vegeta's baby that's you isn't it?" Krillin asked, Trunks took a step back, startled. "I'm Guessing Vegeta's the only one who hasn't figured out," Krillin said, "WHAT!" Caulli yelled before looking at Grimoire "Did you know?!" she asked Grimoire who nodded back "I pretty much figured it out after I saw this Trunks for the first time though I had my suspicions before back in the city." Grimoire confirmed Caulli rubbing her head and looking at the future Saiyan. "Now that I think about it It does make a lot of sense, wow, so that's how trunks will look in the future," Caulli said before looking in awe at the potential trunks would have when he got older.
Trunks lowered his head both embarrassed about the relative ease everyone had about learning who he was "I'm sorry for keeping it secret, but I had my reasons" Trunks said Grimoire walking up to the Saiyan "Don't worry about it, you didn't want to affect the future and risk your existence no harm in that" he said "Also don't worry about Vegeta" Tien spoke up. "He's going to just sort through his thoughts, then he'll be back stronger than ever, he's too proud to throw away a fight," Tien explained, everyone smiling with hope save for Grimoire. The frost demon looked up to the sky "The question is will he learn from his mistake or will Vegeta still be blinded by his ego, for all our sakes, I hope he doesn't" Grimoire thought to himself before they all began to fly off towards Goku.
Meanwhile, Vegeta was flying through the area, his rage boiling like never before "I'll make those androids pay for toying with me, soon they'll know the wrath of prince Vegeta!" he screamed before increasing his speed passing the horizon. He'd grow much stronger than that fool Kakarot, damn the others hope that fool will defeat the androids he was Saiyan royalty he had no equal and at the end of this fight he'd stand on top.
In the Lookout, Kami sat upon his throne the guardian of earth sensing Piccolo moving closer to his home, "So, Piccolo is coming to attain the power we had both possessed when we were one, though it was long ago the memory of that time still holds strong" Kami said to himself. He moved through his memories of when he had been a young warrior who came to earth to take the place of it's guardian, he recalled the darkness the former guardian said was within him which upon separation had become king Piccolo. If not for Goku, then the world would have fallen into his diabolical hands, He had concerns for king Piccolo's offspring, but he also knew the conflict in him. Soon he would have no time to pinder as he felt Piccolo arrive.
Standing up Kami teleported out of his home behind Mr Popo, who stared worriedly at Piccolo, who stared directly at Kami. "You know what I've come for old man," Piccolo said telepathically to the guardian of the earth "I do, remember that through our bond we are connected both in mind and body." Kami responded to Mr. Popo looking at his old friend "Kami?" he asked, wanting answers. "Good, then you are aware of what must be done to fight back the androids." Piccolo said Kami clenching his staff tightly "Yes, you've grown far stronger than I've ever could have imagined Piccolo and that power when we become whole may make you powerful enough to stand against the androids" Kami stated Popo taking a step back in shock "Kami, no you can't go the earth still needs you!" Popo insisted Kami smiled at his friend.
"You are too kind my friend," Kami said gratefully before his face shifted to a frown turning to Piccolo "I know you want to combine right away, but I haven't made up my mind, I wish to observe things for a little longer before I make my final decision." Kami requested Piccolo narrowing his eyes, "You want to wait!" Piccolo bellowed, "You watched everything from up here, and even after we were clobbered, you want to wait and see what happens!" Kami gritted his teeth "I know you aren't happy with this but understand Piccolo that things may not be what they appear, many of the things trunks had foretold have been wrong" Kami explained "you know this first was the arrival of Grimoire and Caulli, then was the fact that the first androids you met were not the ones trunks knew, his predictions are not definite perhaps these androids are also different" he reasoned Piccolo fuming at his other half.
Piccolo closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as much as he hated the thought of waiting for Kami he had no other options. "Fine, take your time Kami. I'll be here until you make your decision." Piccolo relented, taking a seat meditating. Kami sighed before he looked off into the distance watching over the world in hope for things to change for the better.
