Chapter 7
Jake told them that some sheep had been killed by something or someone on the island, so Alma helped her children pack up their stuff. Jake ran back to the inn to his father. They bumped into a man called John Lamont, who was Mr. Barron in disguise. Jake went back to the house, not knowing that Mr. Barron followed him until he came up behind him.
Mr. Barron shapeshifted his hand into an ax-like weapon and held it to Jake's throat, and made Jake lead him to the house. Jake rang the doorbell, and Alma answered it with Marisole next to her and glared at Mr. Barron when she saw how he was holding Jake.
When Marisole looked at Barron, he hit her, Marisole fell to the floor. Trinity didn't care. She walked right up to Barron got into his face.
"You touch her again, and I'll rip your arms off." Trinity snarled at him before helping Marisole up off the floor. Everyone was surprised at what Trinity did. She wasn't scared of him like the rest was. Well, except for Alma, she wanted to hit Barron when he hit Marisole but was beaten to the punch when Trinity stepped in.
Trinity looked at Barron right in the eyes.
"Do you want to know the reason why Abe visited me all the time Barron?" Trinity said, but before Barron could answer, she talked again.
"Or why hollows are scared of me?" Trinity asked again, not letting him talk.
"It's because I'm not just a ymbryne; I'm something else as well. I have telekinesis. I'm powerful enough to kill wights and hollows. That's why wights and hollows fear me." Trinity said. Barron looked at Trinity when he saw her eyes glowing. He looked at her in fear.
Trinity looked at her children, nodding her head. They walked up to Miss Peregrine's children.
"You might want to look away. Trinity doesn't like doing this in front of people," Marisole said. Everyone turned around, including Miss Avocet but Miss Peregrine didn't. In his fear state, Mr. Barron let go of Jake, who was now with the other children.
Alma saw Trinity's hands glowing and watched as she pushed Barron against the door and ripped him to pieces. She then moved his body away, so the children didn't see it. Trinity looked at Alma and was expecting a feared look, but Trinity didn't see it in Alma's eyes. She saw that Alma looked happy and also glad that everyone was safe. When Trinity saw no fear in Alma's eyes, Trinity started to fall more for her. Alma fell for her more, too, the way she protected everyone against Barron.
