A/N: Okay, I'm back with another one. So, this was going to just be our protagonist Beau's story, but when I was reviewing it, I found that it was extremely short. To fix that, I'm combining Beau and Julie's stories together, so you're going to get both today.
Also, I changed some names. Originally, SM said that female Embry's name was Emma, but honestly, I don't love that name, so I changed it to Ember. Also, she said that male Leah's name was Leland, or Lee. But when I heard that, I couldn't stop thinking about the character Leland Stottlemeyer from Monk, so I changed his name to Leo.
EXT. SIDEWALK, PHOENIZ, AZ, TWO YEARS LATER - DAY
YOUNG BEAU SWAN walks down the sidewalk, his backpack on. He is about six years old now. Text on screen reads:

INT. BALLET STUDIO
Double doors sit to one side, a receptionist's desk at the front. A RECEPTIONIST, a young woman, sits behind it. Beau walks into the studio.
RECEPTIONIST
Hi, Beau. How are you doing?
YOUNG BEAU
Good, thank you.
Young Beau sits down on a bench. He pulls out a notebook with planets on it. Young Beau opens it and begins writing.
YOUNG BEAU (V.O.)
Dear Diary: today was awesome! We started learning about really cool words...
FADE TO:
INT. BALLET STUDIO, AN HOUR LATER
Young Beau continues to sit on the bench. The double doors open and YOUNG GIRLS stream from the room, all with their hair in buns and in leotards, ballet slippers, and pink tights. Renée leaves last, in a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Her hair is tied in a bun.
RENÉE
Good work today, girls!
(to Beau)
Hi, buddy, how was your day?
YOUNG BEAU
It was good. Also, you need to pay the water and electricity bills today.
RENÉE
Thank you for reminding me, Beau.
YOUNG BEAU
Mm-hm!
Renée picks up Beau's backpack and puts it on. She takes Young Beau's hand; they walk out of the studio. The Receptionist waves to them. They wave back.
EXT. LAKE, LA PUSH, WA - DAY
The lake sits silent. George, Bonnie, ADAM BLACK, AARON BLACK, and TODDLER JULIE BLACK sit on the edge. Adam, Aaron, and Toddler Julie are all Native American children with long black hair. Adam and Aaron are both seven-year-old boys, while Toddler Julie is a three-year-old girl. Bonnie holds Toddler Julie in her arms. Crutches sit next to her. Text on screen reads:
La Push, WA
Charlie walks up to them, holding Young Beau's hand.
BONNIE
Hi, Beaufort.
YOUNG BEAU
It's Beau.
BONNIE
Oh, I'm sorry.
YOUNG BEAU
It's okay.
Charlie walks Beau over to where Adam and Aaron are playing.
CHARLIE
Beau, this is Adam and Aaron.
(to George and Bonnie)
Which one is which?
BONNIE
We just guess.
Charlie laughs softly and points to Toddler Julie.
CHARLIE
And this is Julie.
Toddler Julie waves shyly at Young Beau. Young Beau waves back.
INT. HALLWAY, QUILEUTE RESERVATION SCHOOL, THREE YEARS LATER
A large group of Quileute, elementary-age CHILDREN surround a fight between YOUNG QUILLA ATEARA V [Young Quil], who's a kindergartner, and YOUNG LEO CLEARWATER, a second grader. YOUNG JULIE BLACK and YOUNG EMBER CALL are also in the audience, and are the same age as Young Quil. Text on screen reads:
Julie Elda Black
La Push, Quileute Nation
three years later
Young Julie jumps in to try and stop the fight.
YOUNG JULIE
Hey! Cut it out! We don't want a teacher to hear.
YOUNG QUIL
He started it!
Young Quil and Young Leo continue to fight. Young Ember sneaks down the hallway, glancing behind herself.
YOUNG JULIE
What did he do?
YOUNG QUIL
It doesn't matter!
Young Quil and Young Leo continue fighting. Young Ember returns with a TEACHER. The Teacher is a young Native American woman. She moves through the crowd of kids, Young Ember following behind her.
TEACHER
Hey, break it up!
The Teacher pulls Young Quil and Young Leo apart. They continue to tear at each other.
TEACHER (CONT'D)
What is going on here?
YOUNG QUIL
He started it!
YOUNG LEO
She started it!
TEACHER
Do you know what? Principal's office, right now.
The Teacher points down the hallway. She spots Young Julie next to them.
TEACHER (CONT'D)
Miss Black. Office. Now.
The Teacher follows Young Quil, Young Leo, and Young Julie down the hall. She motions for Young Ember to follow her. Young Ember does so hesitantly.
INT. OFFICE
Young Leo, Young Quil, and Young Julie sit in chairs, completely silent. A door opens, and Young Ember exits. She sits down on Young Julie's right, back completely straight. A PRINCIPAL, a young Native American man, exits the door after Young Ember.
PRINCIPAL (O.S.)
Thank you, Miss Call. Leo Clearwater?
Young Liam stands up and enters the room, closing the door behind him. Young Quil, Young Julie, and Young Ember sit in silence. Young Quil crosses her arms across her chest.
YOUNG EMBER
What happened? I'm just curious; I'm not going to tell them anything.
YOUNG QUIL
You sure about that, you snitch?
YOUNG JULIE
Hey. That's not a nice name to call someone.
YOUNG QUIL
Well I don't know her real name.
YOUNG JULIE
(to Young Ember)
What's your name?
YOUNG EMBER
Ember.
YOUNG JULIE
I'm Julie.
Young Julie and Young Ember shake hands. Young Julie turns to Young Quil.
YOUNG JULIE (CONT'D)
You might as well introduce yourself to her.
YOUNG QUIL
My name's Quil.
YOUNG EMBER
Nice to meet you. You two already know each other?
YOUNG JULIE
We're second cousins.
(to Young Quil)
And what did happen?
YOUNG QUIL
He was being annoying, so I punched him.
YOUNG EMBER
That's not very nice.
A/N: Aaah! Baby Ember, Quil, and Julie are so adorable! And baby Beau being so polite? I'm dead.
Aaaanyway. I didn't know how to cut between this section and the next one, since it takes place five years later (it's a scene in Midnight Sun, also), so I just decided to cut it weirdly. Yay…?
The next part will be getting more toward the beginning of the series, and we technically only have one more character backstory to go. More love triangles, anyone?
