As we last left off, Shadow had just saved Eris' life by giving her the blood she so desperately needed after going into cardiac arrest. After fighting with the doctors, Black Void had Shadow grab hold of Eris and he took them back to the Empire Comet so that they could save her before it was too late. They nod as they wait for the assembly to start. After five minutes several teachers and the Principle, walk out onto the stage and Mr. Clark takes the stand as students slowly settle down.

Now that everyone has settled down we can begin. Now as you all know the last week or so there has been rumors going around about Miss Monroe. The school's ace student, cheer squad captain, class representative, valedictorian and class president, of an accident that happened about two weeks ago. We have seen, and allowed you all so show your love for Miss Monroe over the coming weeks and we will continue doing so. The reason why we are going to let you continue doing this is because the rumors you all heard of the Race at The Haunted Ruins is 100% true…
Everyone gaps out and whispers start once more about what they heard around the school. Mr. Clark holds up his hands and tries to settle everyone back down.
Please everyone, remain calm. Remain calm now please. Now as I was saying, we are going to keep allowing the memorials going for as long as we can till we hear more. Every Friday I will have two of her closest friends gather everything up and take them to her home. Mr. Sonic The Hedgehog and Miss Amy Rose if you're here today can I get you two to come up here please.
Amy and Sonic look at once another and more whispers start up along with some soft gaps. They walk on down to the stage and stand next to Mr. Clark.
Sonic and Amy will be the ones to gather the items from her lockers every Friday after school, and will continue doing so till we know more. I can count on you both right?
Sonic and Amy nod at him and he smiles.
Good. Now onto another topic that was bright to my ears. About a week ago one of our students was harassed, I will not say who it was to keep their identity secret. But I'm sure some of you know who it is if not all, and I wish to state this here and now to the whole of the school. I will NOT. I repeat. I WILL NOT allow harassment, or hounding or anything of the like happen within my school to the point it causes someone to have a mental breakdown, an anxiety, or panic attack, something that makes them feel uncomfortable, or think of suicidal thoughts etc etc. if I find out from anyone of you students, the teachers or even myself or if someone's parents call with a complaint of any kind, it will be a month long suspension from not only school but ALL school activities s well, not to say I WILL cancel all school activities and social events. Meaning, no homecoming, no prom, no football games, no Halloween ball NO NOTHING! DO. I MAKE. MYSELF. CLEAR!?
Everyone looks at one another and everyone answers in union as yes Mr. Clark.
Good, now to show you I'm not a jackass douchebag jerk wad, yes I know what some of you kids say about me some time he he he, for the rest of the week all classes will be called off so you all may do as you wish. Go home play games, hang out with your friends, catch up on some sleep or even pray for Eris and hope she will come back soon. But come Monday I wish to see you all back here and ready to learn. Now off with you all, and also one last thing. If any of you wish to speak to the school counselor and 4th period Teacher Mrs. Higgins on anything she will be in her office all week from 8am sharp, till lunch time. With that Mr. Clark leaves as do the other teachers. Sonic and Amy were about to go meet up with Swiftshot when they hear Mrs. Higgins call to them.

The nod and head off to meet up with Swiftshot. They find him and let him know Mrs. Higgins still wished to see them. Nodding they start to head out when Magus calls out to them as best as he could with being pushed and shoved about.

Sonic sees Magus and runs over to him in a flash and saves him from being mushed even more and brings him to where Amy and Swiftshot were.

Amy asks him as she helps brush him off.

Yeah OK. I'll group text everyone and let them know what's going on and have them pass the word along. Magus you think you could post something to the schools website at once so everyone in school will know about it? Tell them they don't have to if they don't want to, but it would be nice if they said even a little something for her when she comes back. I'm sure the teachers would love to say something to, even Mr. Clark.

With a plan made everyone sets off to do what needs to be done. After they part ways Amy. Sonic and Swiftshot head off to see Mrs. Higgins. Soon as Sonic and they others reach Mrs. Higgins office that knock on the door and she tells them to come in. when she sees them she smiles at them and closes the door behind them and locks it pulling the blinds down then turns around and looks at them.
Please come sit all three of you. Would any of you like something to drink?
They do as they're told and Mrs. Higgins goes and asks them as they take a seat.

Sonic tells her.

Amy asks her.
I wanted to know how things have been since last week. First off how you've been feeling since your fall Amy.
I been alright, there was no damage done of any kind. But I did have a soft spot for a few days.

She takes a seat herself and nods at Amy.
Good, good. Now that reason I asked you three here is because of Eris. I wanted to see how you three of anyone were coping right now, and see what should be done about the Crew.
You know Mrs. H I think I speak for the three of us here when I say we've been wondering how you know about Eris, the Crew and how you got that ring on your finger, and why you hate Air Blades so much.
Yes I had a feeling Swiftshot you all would be thinking that right now. My story isn't an easy one at all. Quite sad really.
Sighing, Mrs. Higgins stands up and goes over to the window and places her hands behind her back and sighs as she looks out across the school fields.
It all started around the time that Eris first made her AirBlade Crew. So about five, six years go, before you all started high school with me. Not many knew this back then but I once had a son, the only one who truly knew was Eris.
A SON!?
Yes that is right. He was my pride and joy. The only thing my stupid husband DIDN'T take from me when her took everything else from me. Anyway, my son's name was named Jacoby…
Wait, you mean Jacoby Gray?
Yes that is right Sonic. Jacoby Gray is what he called himself back then. As you may know he and Eris were pretty close as friends go, much like you are with her now.
Yeah I remember how Eris would hang out with him a lot and help him with his homework and more when we were at Techno Beat Coffee and Dace Club.
Amy states as she listens on.
That's right Amy. You see at the time we were going through some things back then, and Eris was around for them all. She was there for Jacoby every step of the way, as most of you were. He told me everything that happened everyday he met up with you all. How you would go hang out in the park. Help with the adoption in the park fundraiser. Or go to the movies or hang out at her place and have a friends only party till morning. He told me it all. It was the only thing that kept him and me sane during our time of desperation and anguish.
You see my Ex husband Richard was an aggressive kind of guy. He never used to be till he lost his older brother to cancer years ago before you all. Back when Jacoby was just starting out middle school. Richard and his brother were close, so close in fact one would have a hard time telling who was who when they were goofing around and more. Ha ha ha… I remember one time how they pulled the most STUPIDEST prank on me one time. They went and changed their looks to the point no one could tell who was who and they switched lives for a week on me. Jacoby was part of it and needless to say when I found out I wasn't too pleased at first of what they did. But I knew Tanner was living life to the fullest because of being sick. We didn't know till it was too late he had Terminal Cancer. He always kept such things hidden well from everyone, even his family. When Richard found out it was when everything started. He turned a blind eye on things and us. He started to drink more and more when it would be he would only drink every so often. Things changed from a happy wonderful family to a living nightmare.
Up till his third year of Middle School it wasn't too bad really. But I knew the time was coming when he came home and beat Jacoby after work, when I was gone for a few days to go see my mother. When I got back I had found out what had happened. Richard said he didn't mean it that he was sorry and it was the only time ever he did it and it wouldn't happen again, and I believed him then.
Thing was it kept happening didn't Mrs. H?
It did Sonic. Every chance he got.
That explains so much now back then, how when he would come over to Eris out of the blue some times and ask if he could talk with her and later stay over with her for a couple of nights.
Indeed. You see, one day Eris had caught me in my office crying because of a fight me and Richard got into about Jacoby on something so mundane and stupid. As you know I was the Middle School canceler before I was asked to come to be one here at the High School. I tried to high it, but by CHAOS was the girl as stubborn as a Bull in a china shop and she got it out of me. Needless to say I told her everything going on. She had kept it a secret for such a long time not telling a soul of what was going on. Only other one that knew was her father Maxwell.
Then one day it all ended right before my eyes. When I was out one night shopping I got a phone call, I didn't know who they were or what was going on. Not till I heard my son's voice on the other end and well, lets just say I won't go into details of what happened that night. Just know what happened after is when I truly lost everything. Everything changed for us then. I found out Richard was behind what happened. People got wind of it and things got bad for us.
A few weeks later after I went to visit my mother again, I knew I should have taken Jacoby with me but with her conditioning worse than ever before and him having gotten a bad cold I wouldn't be able to watch both of them at the same time. When I finally came home I walked in on something I won't repeat to you three or anyone ever. Richard had done something I never would have imagined him ever doing to someone. When I came home and walked in on it I attacked Richard and told Jacoby to run to Eris place and I would be there soon. He ran out of the house as I held off Richard as best as I could but he bested me and had his way with me by force. When I was able to finally get away I ran to Eris place as fast as I could to find Jacoby only to find out he never made it there at all. We started to both panic on what was going on and went to look for him. That's when we found out what happened.
Mrs. Higgins sighs a sad deep sigh as she turns around and comes to sit down as she takes out her hankie to dab at her eyes. Amy sits next to her as Swiftshot goes to make her some tea. After a bit of silence and a bit of tea she goes on.
As he was on his way to Eris he ran into Blood Wrath. I'm sure you remember what happened then.
We do. Eris told us the story… A STORY… of what happened. But it wasn't because he was in the wrong place or time was it.
No it wasn't. It was because of what Richard had done to him...TO US… that he had a run in with Blood Wrath. As we finally found him it was too late. Eris was on her way to where I was as I tried my best to stop Blood Wrath. But with what Richard did to him and me both, even with my new found strength, I couldn't stop them and save my son from Jason's wrath. I watched as Jason took his life before my eyes and walked off like a mad man. I held my son as he laid dying in my arms that night. When Eris finally got there I was a shadow of the woman I used to be that day.
That was the day everything changed for you wasn't it Mrs. H, and why you're so hard on us now today.
Sonic asks her in a sad tone as he looks at her and she looks back up at him.
Yes Sonic it is why. You three are the first to hear what happened that day. So when I heard the rumors of Eris I feared the worst and everything was repeating itself again. I didn't want to believe them, I truly didn't Sonic. Eris was my rock when I lost everything, just like KillBeat said I would.
But how DID KillBeat know?
Shaun? PFFFT, he always had a knack for finding out things. Still does. Not to say he was with Eris when she got there. He was in his third year of Middle School then.
So I guess Eris had some ties with The Scoundrels even back then and we didn't know about it.
I did, but it wasn't any of my need to know so I stayed out of it and kept to myself. Not to say KillBeat asked me to keep it a secret.
Sonic looks at Swiftshot and sighs nodding.
So what now? I went to go talk with Eris dad the other day, and all he could give me was that she was safe now and up on the Empire Comet in a Medical Pod in a deep coma till she is fully healed up. He said as bad as she was he didn't know how long it could take even with the blood that Shadow is giving to her.
At hearing Shadow's name, Amy sighs and gets up and walks over to the window and holds herself.
Was it really him though Sonic? I mean how could it be? If that WAS Shadow, he looked… I don't know...like…like…
Amy turns around and looks at her brother thrusting her arms out as she goes on.
LIKE SOME MONSTER! THE SHADOW I REMEMBER WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE SUCH A THING SONIC! HOW CAN WE BE SURE IT'S REALLY HIM!? HE DIDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE WHEN YOU SPOKE TO HIM OR WHEN HE ATTACKED YOU THAT DAY AT THE HOSPITAL!
I know Ames. I know. I'm just as confused as well. That day he left Doom told me when he came back he would be changed into something we didn't know or recognize. That'd be baring the Black Arms colors. If this is true then that WAS Shadow. But something tells me something happened and he forgot all about us in the past five years.
Oh Sonic, what are we going to DO!? I mean if Eris wakes up and finds this all out it's going to break her even more than what JASON did to her. You know she has been waiting for five years to see him again.
I know Ames. But now that she's up there, there is nothing we can do now and it sucks because I can't be there for her when it happens. None of us can be.
Then what are we going to do Sonic? Eris is up there, we're down here, she is the heart and SOUL of the Crew. And right now you and Amy BOTH are freaking out to where you can barely put two and two together to make four. And don't go trying to deny it either Sonic. I have been staying with Amy the last week or so at Rouges place she wakes up every night from the nightmares she's been having.

Amy looks away and holds herself as her ears fall as she lets out a deep sigh. Swiftshot goes over to her and places his hands on her arm.

She does, and the moment she does she wraps her arms around his midsection and he holds her petting her head softly.
Your right Swifty. As much as I HATE to say it you are. every night I wake up because of the nightmares of seeing Eris like that and what could be. What could happen afterwards.
Every chance I get I head to the hidden meadow me and Eris found and think. Looking up at the night sky, hoping beyond hope, that maybe Eris will just show up out of the blue and things will go back to the way they were before all of this. As I lay there dreaming about reality hits and takes it away from me.
I may not have known Eris as long as you three have. But even her and I have a bit of history together. She was the very first person EVER to understand me, besides KillBeat, and not make assumptions on what was going through my head. She always knew when something was bothering me and she would sit with me and do the talking for us both. At first I hated it because it was annoying. But one day when we would just meet up just to watch the sunset she never came. I later found out that she was really sick and in the hospital with a very high fever. It was then and there I knew I didn't want to lose the only true friend I had. I remember when I went to see her one day she wasn't in the room she was assigned to. I found out she had asked to be moved to a room that had a window facing the west just so we could watch the sunset every day till she was well.
So THAT'S why the old willow Tree is geared up like that?
Swiftshot chuckles at Sonic as he looks at him and Amy looks up as Swiftshot.
Yeah it is. I knew when she had asked to have a different room where we could watch the sunset together, I knew she would be the one.

He looks down at her smiling softly.
The one true blue...ah let me REPHRASE that… one true SUNSET PINK friend I could count on to be there for me when I truly need someone to back me up no matter HOW stupid things get. If I could have, I would have taken her place Sonic.
He looks up at him as he goes on.
She has been there for me, other than KillBeat, more than anyone else I know in my lifetime. I wanted to, but Scourge said to stand down. I should have done it anyway and suffered the backlash of it all later. Had I known she would end up like this I would have ignored Scourges orders and gone out on the track and taken her place.
Sonic looks at him and for the first time he saw something in Swiftshot he never seen before in him. At least not like this. What he saw was true loyalty unlike anything he had seen before. Standing up he walks over to him and places a hand on his shoulder and looks at him.

Your more ROSE Pink, than SUNSET Pink my pet. Eris is something different and special all together that can't be replaced by anything or ONE else. You're special to me in another way, why Eris is special to me in another sort of way I can't explain. Just… I guess in a way… like a little sister.
He tells Amy, when in truth it was as much as a little sister. He loved Eris in so many more ways he couldn't tell anyone. Only because they were both with someone and it wouldn't be right, and now that this all had happened he wondered if he would ever get the chance to be with her. If it could even be once he would be happy. He loved Eris as a Man would love a Woman, and he wanted to be there for he as more than a friend. He wanted to be there for her as her protector and lover. Maybe even more.
Sonic looked at him and he could see something he wasn't telling. He was about to ask what it was when there came a knock on the door.
Wonder who that could be? I asked not to be bothered and didn't want to start counseling till tomorrow so we could have all day today with just us. We still have much to talk about.
Mrs. Higgins gets up and goes over to the door and answers it.
Yes?
Mrs. Higgins I was hoping to talk with you today if possible?
I'm sorry my dear, but I asked the office to let everyone know I wasn't to be bothered till tomorrow. I'm doing a session right now as we speak, and I had planned on taking all day with this one. So I'm sorry. If you come back first thing tomorrow I can speak with you then.
Oh? Alright Mrs. Higgins sorry to have bothered you.
Whoever was at the door leaves and Mrs. Higgins sighs as she heads on over to her desk and makes a fast call. After a moment she hangs up and looks at Sonic, Swiftshot and Amy.
What do you say we head on out for lunch? My treat, and that way we won't be bothered again, and we can finish talking.
They look at one another then back at Mrs. Higgins and nod.
I could go for something to eat. I've been craving some chinese food of late.
Amy says.
Same here as well. What about you Sonic?
You know me, I would rather have a good old chili dog. But chinese food sounds just as good. What about you Mrs. H?
I say Chinese food is a GRAND idea, and I know just the place to. Come on.
They all smile and walk on out of her office and she locks it up and they head on out when sonic remembers something.
What about my Car?
Don't worry Sonic. Leave everything to me. Will make a quick stop by the office first.

With that they head on down to the office and she walks in and speaks with someone as they wait outside. After a few moments she comes back out.
Right Sonic, I spoke with Mr. Clark and he said you could take your car to the Schools garage till we get back. He will meet you out there. Then head out front and we will wait for you.
Wow thanks Mrs. H.
Hurry Sonic. I'm starving.
Right sis, see you out there in a flash.
With that he was gone in a blue flash and the others headed up front. After about five minutes Sonic comes back and he finds Amy and Swiftshot waiting with Mrs. Higgins by her car.
