New chapter is up and running! This one is a bit intense, but I'm not going to give anything away. And to answer Guest's question, they are in their sophomore year, so around 15 and 16. Also thank you to the wise mushroom for being a continuous supporter! Enjoy!!

I slid along the ice gracefully, Percy slowly trailing behind me. It's been about an hour and he's sort of gotten the hang of it. At first he just couldn't stand at all, falling into me many times. I think most of them were on purpose though. I slid along the ice, only to get lost in my thoughts. Does Percy like me? He is kind of touchy, but I don't know if that means anything. Ugh, this is stupid. He obviously doesn't like me. I finished a lap and sat down next to Jason and Nico, who are taking a break. I rummaged through my backpack looking for money for the vending machine. Shoot, I forgot my wallet at home. I must've not grabbed it on my way to school. I looked over at Jason and Nico with pleading eyes.

"You guys have any money I can borrow?"

Jason looked at me expectantly,

"Didn't you bring your own, Annie?"

I hit his arm and glared at him,

"Don't call me that! And, no, I forgot it at home."

He laughed and handed me a dollar. I grumbled thanks and went to go get candy from the vending machine. The second I saw the machine I knew what I wanted. Skittles. Even though they are super sugary and leave your throat burning after you eat them, they are my favorite. I slipped the dollar in and pressed 14, watching the candy fall to the bottom where I could fish it out. I grabbed it and headed back to where Jason and Nico were sitting. When Jason saw what I got his face lit up, and his eyes glinted mischievously. I sat down warily, aware of Jason's hungry gaze. He leaned over and smiled at me,

"Since I gave you money you have to give me some!"

Ugh I knew that was coming. I handed him a few candies and ate a few myself, closing it and saving the rest for later. As I was putting it in my bag I saw Percy skate up and plop down next to me.

"It's lonely out there without you!" He flirted. Jason and Nico looked at each other, probably thinking the same thing.

"I'm sorry, do you need a pacifier too?" I teased. He ignored me and smiled. I saw a few of the others coming back as well, looking puckered out.

"Whew! My feet hurt like crazy, I think it's about time to go," said Piper tiredly plopping down on the other side of me. Hazel stood, still on the ice, across from us.

"Aw, c'mon Pipes, just a little longer!" She pleaded.

"No! My old back can't take any more!" Said Piper, jokingly.

"You're 15, I don't think you should have back problems yet," I pointed out. She just brushed my comment off and started untying her skates. I shrugged and started untying mine too. Hazel groaned and rolled her eyes,

"Fine."

Connor and Reyna showed up with Thalia and Grover at their heels. A few minutes later everyone else except Travis and Katie arrived.

"Where's Katie and Travis?" Asked Leo smugly.

"Probably somewhere making out," said Connor. We all laughed, we all secretly shipped the two. Conner went to go find them and everyone started getting ready to leave. Connor came back with Katie and Travis, very loudly verifying that they were making out when he found them. We all cheered for the new red faced couple. After we had everyone we returned our skates and walked out into the chilling out doors. I walked next to Percy and we talked. We stepped onto the crosswalk and started walking across.

"Wait!" I heard someone scream. That's when I saw it, a car hurtling towards us at full speed. I stopped, backing away. Percy didn't. My heart quickened, adrenaline coursing through my veins. The car zoomed closer slamming into Percy,

"PERCY!" I shrieked.
