600 years before the creation of Gensokyo

"Are you sure you don't want to keep an eye at this part of the universe?" Rumia asked, sipping a freshly brewed tea.

"I don't like spoilers when I come back from my tours" Watcher glanced towards Rumia. "Where did you get that tea?"

"Not telling you, you didn't like spoilers last I heard" A smirk appeared in Rumia's face as took another sip.

Watcher signed then turned towards Yukari, half of her body was inside her gap. "Yukari, what are you looking at?"

"I am watching a fight between fairies and the eaters!" Yukari closed her gap and replied. She was looking at the creatures that Rumia had called Fantasy Eaters, these creatures were once weak creatures of fantasy until somehow the belief in them started to become non-existent. Some of these creatures evolved instead of disappearing and started to feed off of other creatures of fantasy. These eaters are mostly found in the west.

"The fight is still going on, papa come take a look!" Yukari opened her gap again but this time a lot more larger than before.

There was a group of about ten fairies in armour and armed with swords, shields and spears in the middle of a clearing of a forest surrounded by the creatures called eaters, these eaters appeared to be the size of a large dog with a dragon like body. The only thing that was between the creatures and the fairies was a short wall of ice with spikes also made of ice.

Most of the fairies looked like they were exhausted and barely hanging on, some of them were injured and their equipment was damaged due to what looked like a long now more of the creatures were emerging from the forest and surrounding the fairies.

"Let more of them gather so I can freeze them all at once" A fairy with blue hair and icicles for wings said aloud so the others could hear her. "And when that happens, take the princess and make a run for it towards the east"

The blue fairy was visibly looking exhausted and she knew it. She knew that she would not be able to freeze all the creatures but at least she could still buy some time so the other fairies could escape to safety.

Everything was just as she planned until the creatures surrounding them ceased to advance towards them and a loud roar came out from between the trees.

Silence, the only sound the fairies could hear were their own breathing and the wind going through the leaves of the trees, until another creature came out into the clearing. It shared the same characteristics as the smaller ones surrounding them but this one was much much larger, the mouth looked like it could swallow a full grown human at once.

"Now I wish I was one of the commons" a fairy muttered in a defeated tone, referring to the common fairies of nature who unlike the higher ranking fairies were immortals but weak. "General what are we going to do?"

"The plan hasn't changed yet, I will keep these creatures occupied while all of you get out of her!" The blue fairy replied. She knew deep down that what she said was impossible yet she tried to remain optimistic.

"Come on you stupid creatures come on! I am the strongest fairy from the frozen lands of the north, the knight general of the kingdom of All!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

The large creature roared as if replying to the little fairy in front of it and jumped towards her.

Time slowed down for the blue fairy, she could see everything in her surroundings, she could see the some leaves falling, the other fairies hurdling around their princess and taking protective stances, the dragon slowly nearing her and the horrified expression on the princess's face.

'I failed' she thought as she got ready to take the hit, closing her eyes and thinking how angry her old instructor would be if he was still here. Closing her eyes during combat and just giving up.

She waited but nothing happened. Was she already dead? Was she in the afterlife that the humans talked about? Could fairies go to the afterlife? It's so quiet.

There were a lot of questions in her head and no questions until she heard a woman's voice "Open your eyes already, you are not dead yet"

When she opened her eyes, she saw a woman standing in front of her with a sword made of what could only be described as darkness.

"You have caught my interest little fairy" The woman slowly approached her.

The blue fairy could sense that the woman was dangerous, her mind was telling her to get away from the woman but her body was refusing to move as if it was frozen.

"I don't eat fairies so no need to be afraid of me…..yet" the woman had the biggest grin that the fairy has seen recently and it sent shivers down her spine.

The woman slowly turned towards the other fairies and just laughed. "Pfffffhahahaha, it was worth it, you are all much more scared of me than facing the creatures!"

"Don't worry I won't be hurting any of you, so don't be scared" The woman turned to the blue fairy again. "I am Rumia, the one who takes care of troublesome things and people. And you are?"

The fairy didn't know what to do, was the woman, Rumia, asking for a name? If so then she could not reply with a real answer because as a greater fairy with a rank she could not give her name openly since their rank, status and powers were all linked to their name.

"I know what your names mean to you high fairies but isn't it rude to just stand quietly frozen solid in front of your savior?" Rumia sighted then stared at the fairy. "It's not like I will take away your powers or tell others, you can just whisler it in my ears"

The blue fairy nodded, Rumia bent down and brought her ears closer to the fairy. Then the fairy whispered her name. "Khione…..."

Hello, I am Maneless, the real owner of this account.

First, this story is being written by my sister and this chapter was lost when the PC went up in flames and spark.

But I had this chapter saved up in Google drive and I am posting this just to surprise her and possibly piss her off.

Her face when she realizes that there is a new chapter out of nowhere would be great hahaha.

Told her not to use the damaged socket but she did...
