'I swear to God' Teddy silently prayed as he clung onto the flag pole, 'If I get out of this, I will go back to London and volunteer in a soup kitchen… or something.'

They had stopped shooting at him for now, Poppy having decided that she wanted him humiliated before he was killed.

Now they were just throwing stuff at him in the hope that his grip would slip and he would fall.

"FUCK OFF!" He shouted down at them, unwilling to let them see how scared- no… unnerved he was by the prospect of Poppy getting her hands on him.

"FUCK OFF!"

…..

Merlin's device had successfully deactivated all the land mines, and they had just taken care of all the guards when they heard the first cry.

"FUCK OFF!"

Ronnie's head shot up like a meerkat, as he raced towards the gates.

"Ronnie! Ronnie!"

…..

Teddy's grip slipped slightly on the pole, his feet scrabbling against the smooth surface in an attempt to stop himself from falling.

He only vaguely heard the yelling underneath him, the fresh fire of gunshots as he struggled to remain where he was.

It didn't work though as his grip slipped as he fell towards the ground…. Only to land in someone's arms.

Having closed his eyes when he first started to fall, it took him some time to realise that he wasn't lying on the ground, groaning in pain from the impact. Slowly, he opened up his eyes to see a familiar face staring down at him.

"Ronnie!" Teddy flung his arms around the older man's shoulders, "You came for me! You came for me!"

He then looked over to where Poppy was, noticing the her men were dead and she was on the ground, clutching at a wound on her leg.

"My hero!"

And then it all came rushing back to Ronnie.

****Flashback*****

"Mum." Ronnie stared into his cup of tea, listening to his Mother bustle about the kitchen, "What's a soulmate?"

Violet paused, hovering in the doorway between the two rooms.

"Well… it's like a best friend, but more." She tried to explain, "The one person in the world who knows you better than anyone else."

"Better than Reggie?"

"Yes… even better than Reggie." Violet said hesitantly, "Because they're someone who inspiries you to be your best. They're someone who you carry with you forever, the person who knows you and accepts you and believes in you despite it all. And no matter what happens, you will always love them. Nothing can ever change that." She smiled, "Does… anyone come to mind when I say that."

"No." Ronnie grunted, turning his attention back to his cup of tea, ignoring how he could hear a familiar cackling in his mind.

*****End Flashback****

Ronnie opened his mouth to scold Teddy for being a reckless little shit and making them travel across the world to save him, only for Teddy to suddenly stiffen in his arms.

"You." The younger man hissed, wriggling to get free of Ronnie's grip, "You BASTARD!"

It was then that Ronnie noticed that Teddy was staring at Eggsy.

And now he was lunging at him.

"Teddy! Teddy!" Reggie groaned, reaching out to grab a twin, "Now is not the time!"

He was summarily ignored as the twins scrapped and rolled about on the ground, neither of them willing to give up.

Ronnie was almost transfixed by the sight.

There was just something about the way that Teddy was fighting.

"Really?" Reggie groaned at the look on his brother's face, "Just separate them and let's get out of this place."

"Alright, alright." Ronnie grabbed the one he knew to be Teddy, pulling him away from the fight, "Come on Princess. You can kick his ass later."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

….

"So, Poppy was taken into Kingsman custody. Her plans to blackmail the president into paying her to releasing a cure for poisoned drug takers have been thwarted. Ronald Kray seems to have made a full recovery- "

"- And my brother hates me… again."

Harry glanced over at Eggsy, who was staring at the table, fingers tracing along the wood pattern. "I'm sure… it's not a permanent thing."

"You don't know Teddy like I do… this plan backfired on him, but he'll try again. I know he will."
