New Life - Episode 18
Timur Karatan
One person that hasn't been mentioned is Timur Karatan. Ever since the Big bust of the bosses and Adems saving his life Timur found himself in a limbo state… not knowing what was happening to him.
Rasim did provide a lifeline to him if he chose to take it, which he did. He would become a permanent informer of the Special Crimes Unit and he would be allowed to rebuild his families shipping company . Before any thing could happen Timur must address his psychosis.
Timur Karatan has always blamed his father for all his ills. His demanding father was ruthless and uncaring and his only love was power and money. His sense of teaching was to beat a child Timur into submission so that submission equated to love. The fact that he maintained a high intellect, he became very astute in scheming and cons, making anyone believe what was not there. Timur started to believe that he was superior to anyone and that he could achieve or have anything… anything meant the very best….. including women.
Upon his fathers death he inherited great wealth , which he spent freely to garner any form of love which was completely missing from his life. He developed the image of being a loving caring individual on the surface , but diabolical if he concluded that he was being betrayed or scorned. These split personalities manifested themselves in his business dealings and also in his personal dealings especially with women.
His lavish lifestyle forced him to enter the gun smuggling world so as to be able to keep up the quick easy flow of large capital into his company giving the appearance of being a very successful business tycoon.
His personal relationships were such that he only sought the most beautiful models that would garner envy from those looking. His first wife Saline was such and once he married and had a child named Gokce with her, the beatings started happening and her fear was such that she needed an escape. The kidnapping plot was devised so that a large ransom would be demanded and in Timur's panic he called the police the ransom was paid and his wife was never seen again. With Saline never seen again, Timur's dark side remained in the shadows until meet the extremely glamorous Yasemin , who he viewed as a the prize of all prizes.
Yasemin a poor but very beautiful girl was raised by an abusive father and weak mother that couldn't protect her daughter… whose only love growing up was her little brother whom she maid sure nothing would happen to. When her beauty was recognized by top modeling agency , Yasemin found her way from her abusive father only to succumb to the charms of Timur . Timur's was easily able to seduce Yasemin with his wealth and charm and then hold her captive with the the excessive beatings and threats of harm to her brother.
When Yasemin learned of Saline's fate, she to orchestrated the same plane hoping to have the same results and be able to disappear forever, until Adem entered the picture and her dream New Life comes to be.
Timur Karatan now finds himself in the crossroads of life once again… He has lost everything including the only person that craved his love his daughter Gokce. Yasemin has married and controls all of his assets… Gokce considers Yasemin more family than her father and his gun smuggling business in shambles.
The one person….. Nevin….. for some reason struck a core with him….. " How insane are you to think you could inflict so much harm and call it love"…. Nevin understands Timur, since that is exactly what she did to Adem with her lies at the beginning of their marriage. Timur reaches out to Nevin to understand why she did what she did in giving up Adem and Ece to get the peace of mind and a chance at a New Life. Nevin becomes Timur's guiding force throughout this journey of rebuilding.
Timur rebuild's his Shipping Company back to prosperity and wealth and rewards Nevin with a prenuptial contract that in anytime during their marriage, if he should strike her in anyway… she would own everything he has rebuilt. Nevin agrees and they are living their New Life together in harmony.
Gokce Karatan
Gokce born to Saline and Timur Karatan was a child of privilege , Once the love of Saline was gone with her disappearance…. Gokce was allowed to flounder in excesses without limits or boundaries. Timur never used is psychotic rage against her, which in away caused her even more damage. The child grew with no purpose nor meaning to her life. Constantly jealous of the beauty of Yasemin and all the attention her father adorned her with, she always made excuses for her reckless bad behavior.
Upon discovering the abuse Yasemin was constantly receiving, from the hands of her father… Gokce was startled and amazed that Yasemin viewed her as a friend and family and placed great faith in her potential to assign the new advertising campaign for the New Life Foundation in her hands.
Yasemin's faith in Gokce infused a breath of fresh air into a life wasted . Gokce became inspired and delivered a campaign that Yasemin couldn't have been more proud of and allowed her to be the key note speaker at Summit for Abuse , That Yasemin first revealed herself to all the world as a victim to Abuse.
Gokce: I would like to thank Yasemin Sahin for the opportunity and the encouragement to present to you what we at the New Life Foundation have been doing to bring the message forward in this great injustice that happens to women and children.
The last time Yasemin was here she let everyone know that to often abuse is covered up and not allowed to see the daylight. To often women through , shame, fear or family pressure live with the pain and allow themselves to live a life without purpose nor meaning and begin to loose all hope in a future.
When Yasemin revealed her battered face, everyone in this room that was present , was shocked as I was. I lived in that household and never once questioned what was happening to her. I ignored all the signs, all the sadness, and all the looks that were crying for help but ignored. How could my own father, be such a monster to constantly do this to such a beautiful, loving woman.
I'm here to tell you that it is up to all of us to speak up and speak out , how this can be handled. We at the New Life Foundation have developed a program that has been designed to help identify, provide a safe haven and most importantly a chance to hope for the Life all of us deserve.
We at New Life Foundation would like to show what we are doing. Our program starts with
Innocence
Every New Life brought into this world starts with an innocence that is pure , how does that innocence get damaged so as become what it was never designed to be. The pamphlets that we have developed may shock you in seeing how innocence is lost so quickly in life at times.
Destruction
When does the need to do harm to another actually become instilled. Is it the first hit from a parent… Is the constant verbal abuse of being inferior… is it deliberately attempts at making some look bad…. Is it Excessive Bulling…. Destruction is not solely physical assault….. We have those pamphlets that like identify behaviors that are very destructive.
Fear
Fear has become the abusers biggest ally. We developed pamphlets of how to instill confidence… Abusers usually don't like to be revealed
Acknowledgement
The household that I lived in has a large staff , yet no one acknowledge what was happening. Sometimes just to be seen that you are seeing what is happening will stop the abuser . Abusers don't like to be seen as abusers, they are cowards for the most part.
Rebuilding
When anyone has been Beaton down or made to feel that there is no place to go … New Life Foundation provides venues to where people are given the inspiration to rebuild their lives. It may come from a simple word of encouragement, Someone believing in your abilities… whatever the sign , we try to let them understand their real potential
New Life
Once anyone goes through any of this process of healing, there is a New Life waiting for them….. What they choose to do with it is where we at New Life try to strive for follow ups so that the same mistakes of the past don't return.
This process is not simple nor is it easy, but it does work and your New Life could be so much better for it. Tonight I would like to unveil the other picture of Yasemin and how the New Life Foundation program does work… Gokce lifts the veil of the picture of a very happy Yasemin kissing Ece who Adem is holding.
Gokce: I've had the privilege of being part of the transformation…. Yasemin has not only been my mother, my sister and my friend … She is New Life Foundations Inspiration and life blood. Those of you that have it your hearts to help us in this great cause , you can spread the word and donate generously so that we can expand to other countries.

Yasemin, Ece and Adem were seated in the front row and Yasemin's eyes were filled with tears of joy at how proud of the job Gokce did. The three of them go back stage to give Gokce their appreciation.
Yasemin gives Gokce a kiss and a hug: You were fabulous….. you made everyone pay attention ….. I couldn't be more proud of you
Ece: Sister Gokce….. were you scared to speak in front of so many people
Gokce: No , I kept looking at you my little sisters happy face , how could I be scared.
Adem: Gokce….. you were great
Another surprise visitors reveals himself
Ece rushes to Nevin to give her a hug and Timur is standing next her
Timur: Gokce sweetheart, you were incredible… truth is such a powerful message ….. I can't makeup for the damage that I have caused….. but maybe I can help in the only way I know how…. Here is a check for your fund raising and you can count on me every year to give a sizable amount.
Yasemin takes Nevin aside: Are you alright….. Has he kept his word… You will let me know if it doesn't
Nevin: He has been great…. We have a relationship that works for us… He has changed
Yasemin: I'm glad
Nevin: Look at you your just glowing and more beautiful than ever… when is the baby due
Yasemin: Next month….. I understand this last month, I will turn into a balloon
Nevin: You Yasemin , will never be a ballon
They return to their husbands who are talking and Yasemin hears a comment that she suspected but never confirmed.
Timur: Adem, when you took that bullet to save my life, I understood then why Yasemin loved you so
Yasemin: Adem….. you never told me you saved Timur's life… You promised you wouldn't risk your life… now you have three of us to think about
Adem: I kinda did….. When I told you he owes me and that's why we got the master bedroom changed. Anyway….. I kept my word and left the Special Crimes unit….. Our security Company doesn't put me in that kind of danger
Timur: I didn't mean to upset you… but just to acknowledge that he and Nevin turned my disastrous life around.
Yasemin: I'll give you a pass… the baby is making me skittish.
Nevin tries to get a distraction going : Ece… are you excited about becoming a big sister
Ece : Yes, mom….. I'll be just like mommy , being a big sister to a baby brother.
Yasemin seeing what Nevin just did decide to throw an olive branch: Nevin, Timur would you like to join us for dinner, I'm sure Nesibe would love to see you.
Dinner at the mansion is no longer as it use to be….. Nesibe still prepares the food, but they each have learned to serve themselves, so that everyone can eat at the same time and enjoy each others company. The blended family atmosphere is working, and Yasemin , wants the new baby to be like everyone else.
Nevin: Timur… can you accept this approach… I really like it
Timur rolls his eyes: If that's what you want… I won't object
Adem: Timur… change is hard….. but very rewarding
Yasemin: that's a thought that you should savor….. my dear husband
Timur: Mrs Nesibe… your cooking is still as superb as ever….. if you should ever
Nesibe: This is my home and with the new baby, I would never leave… Yasemin smiles
Nevin: Nice try Timur… but, this is house is made up of a family….. that's why I want to instill some of the changes in our house.
Fatma: Yasemin and Adem are sister and brother to us, not our employer and Ece she is our joy and the new baby will be a special blessing to this house…. We are family and a very happy family.
Timur: I get it now
After Dinner Nevin and Timur give their thank you and return to their home. Everyone else helps to clean up after themselves and disperse to their private areas. Ece follows Gokce to her room where she is anxiously awaiting her FaceTime with Faruk.
Faruk: I saw your video on YouTube… you were great… you have such a passion for this
Ece: Hi Uncle Faruk… sister Gokce did real good… wasn't she beautiful today
Faruk: yes Ece , she was very beautiful today
Gokce: Ece….. let me get a word in …. Did you like it
Faruk: It was real good…. That standing ovation showed that everyone else thought so.
Gokce: Have you given it any thought about coming back… you know to see if this is going to work
Faruk: It's already working… we just have to put a few more pieces together…. I'm no longer the same Faruk that just mooches off of everyone… I have to deserve you. Yasemin has told me that she is putting you in charge of the foundation when she is on maternity leave.
Gokce: She has so much faith in me….. I won't let her down
Faruk: How is she doing with the pregnancy
Gokce: She's starting to get real big and a little uncomfortable… but she handling with all the grace and love that Yasemin has. She has taught me so much of life… Ece just got bored and left…. I have to ask you … did you sleep with my girlfriends
Faruk: I promise, I didn't, they did everything trying to make it look like I was, but I didn't, I was always trying to make you jealous and you were being your typical Gokce.
Gokce: I'm serious about this, I want the type of relationship that Yasemin and Adem have. They have so much love between them and they have more sex than anyone can image. I won't be surprise that they aren't attempting it even this far along in the pregnancy. They love each other that much.
Faruk: They really have that much sex
Gokce: typical male… They have that much love
Faruk: I understand and if I don't I'll ask Adem.
Gokce: I have to sign off, I got some work to do….. see you
Ece went to her parents room so that she could let Yasemin comb her hair out before bed. She gives Yasemin a big kiss and hug and Adem takes her to her room to tuck her in. Adem returns to find Yasemin soaking in the tub to relax her back muscles from the extra weight on her belly.
Adem , not missing an opportunity to feel his wife, takes his cloths off and places himself behind her. He messages her neck muscles and shoulders and then goes for her larger breasts
Yasemin: if your going to touch , do it softly and don't play with my nipples….. if you look at them wrong, they hurt.
Adem then places his hand on her belly , where he gently rubs and circulates his hand around her belly button.
Yasemin: I can't believe how much I love you… you're already aroused. I still excite you looking the way I do.
Adem: you look beautiful and your still sexy as they come.
Yasemin feeling sorry for her husbands state, takes her hand and strokes him into ejaculation.
Yasemin: You feel better now.
Adem helps Yasemin out of the tub, dries her completely and then helps her into bed.
This nightly ritual continues for the next four weeks until which time the baby wants to make it's way into the world.
Yasemin has spent a very restless night, the baby was in constant motion, caused her some severe pains. Early that morning the contraction start occurring and her water broke. She wakes up Adem and tells him it's time to go to the hospital, the baby will born. To keep her comfortable as he can, he places her into the SUV and drives to the hospital.
The nurses begin to monitor her contractions so as to determine how quick or how long the delivery will be. As the contractions get closer and more intense, the pain gets greater. Two hours go by before it is determined that it's time to delivery this child.
The Doctor instructs Yasemin and Adem to begin the breathing and pushing regiment they have been practicing these past months.
Adem: Ok sweetheart, we can do this
Yasemin: We really, I'm the one in real pain, you just had the fun of doing this me
Doctor: Don't take it personal, men get all the blame….. just keep her comfortable and keep her on her breathing cycle.
Adem: Ok baby, let's breath and push, breath and push
Yasemin takes a very deep breath and pushes and screams as hard as she can and the crown of the baby's head is seen.
Adem: Ok baby it's al most over one more big deep breath and Push ….. which she does and their little boy enters the world. The nurses take him, clean him up and then bundle him tightly and hand him to his father.
Adem: Efi my son, you bring fresh air into this world….. your mother and I have gone through so much to get you here… He hands Efi to his mothers waiting arms , who immediately kisses her precious son.
Yasemin: Efi is so beautiful Adem… our son is finally here….
Adem kisses both Yasemin and Efi : My darling wife are you alright
Yasemin: I'm as happy as can be….. where is Ece, she has to be the first to see Efi , her brother.
Adem goes to the waiting room to get Ece and brings her in. Not knowing what to expect Yasemin calls Ece to come to her and see her baby brother.
Yasemin: Ece this is your brother Efi….. you are now his big sister and he will need all your love and guidance as he grows up. Come and give your baby brother this kisses that you give so well.
Ece smiles and kisses both her mommy and baby Efi.
