Teana's Travels Book 39: Heroes' Trials

Gamma Team and a few others find a world full of people with mysterious and diverse powers called Quirks, currently dealing with a minor Heartless infestation. They move in to handle the situation and help the locals, and thus are present when powerful villains begin their master plans. Rated M for violence and Bakugou's filthy mouth.

8. AUTHOR'S NOTE - TV-Tropes

This Author's Note is concerning this fic's trope pages on tvtropes-dot-org, and a request to any registered tropers among my readers.

Recently, I finally found out about the mid-October scandal involving Rooster Teeth's Ryan Haywood, as well as the podcast where Jack Patillo claimed their intent to delete every video from their decade-plus library that Ryan had any significant role in, no matter how old or how popular the video was. Now, I agree that what Haywood did is deplorable and unpardonable, but I have always abided by "hate the artist, not the art"; JK Rowling being a transphobic asswipe doesn't make the Harry Potter series stop being good, the lead singer of Lost Prophets being a scum-sucking pedophile doesn't make "Rooftops" stop being a good song, and Ryan being a piece of shit does not make "I'm Still in the Air!", Edgar, and "Slenderyan" (G-Mod Stop It Slender, Halo 5 Slender) stop being funny (and that's not even mentioning the various jokes the other Hunters made in vids that Ryan just happened to have major presence in).

A couple days after I finally found that out, I checked Achievement Hunter's YouTube LP Minecraft playlist, and lo & behold, several videos were gone. Salty about that, I ended up going to the TV-Tropes page on AH Minecraft's Funny Moments and… doing something admittedly stupid. Days later, I got a TV-Tropes private message chastising me and telling me to come to an "ATT" and "explain myself". I had no idea what the hell an "ATT" is, and had real-life concerns I had to address at the moment.

By the time I finally got back to TV-Tropes hours later, found out that "ATT" stood for "Ask the Tropers", apparently a special kind of forum page thing, and followed the link there, it was too late. Now, I'm permanently banned from ever editing TV-Tropes again (in addition to having been banned on posting in the forums since a debacle in 2011).

As far as I can tell, I am the only one who ever made significant additions or alterations to Teana's Travels' trope and character pages. With me banned from editing those pages, they'll never get updated again. The list of fics and links on the main page won't get updated past Book 39. Characters will never be expanded upon. Explaining this, I contacted the mods, asking them to at least delete the pages since they'll never be updated again.

They refused.

Now, I am asking the tropers among you to please do something for me. Go to the trope and character pages, and post the following message at the very top, above even the opening description:

"IMPORTANT NOTICE: The author of this work has been permanently banned from editing TV-Tropes, and as he was the only person who made regular updates to this page, future developments in the series will not be reflected here," the next part only goes on the main trope page "and additional Books past #39 will no longer show up on and be described or linked on this page. Apologies for the inconvenience."

If one of you posts it and it gets deleted by the mods or whatever, somebody else post it again. Feel free to bring this whole clusterfuck up in the forums if you want/can, though at this point don't be surprised if they suspend or ban you even for just defending me.

I am still working on the next main chapter of "Heroes' Trials"; it's slow going because the current scene I'm working on is the kind that takes me the longest to write: an original fight scene with no canon equivalent. I am working on it, though, so stay tuned.
