A/N: The Decimator was originally a standard Battle Dragon, but now it's a Mega-class, which I made up. You're welcome.

Originally the Transformers were supposed to be millions of years old, but that doesn't fit with how I'll be crossing Star Wars with Transformers in some later work. The Transformer now can't be much older than 15K years.

Kuat

The first of its kind the Decimator was a Mega-class Hapan Battle Dragon. It consisted of two elongated disks joined by a sort of horizontally stretched hourglass. The larger upper disk was eight kilometers long by two wide. On the under side of the front half of this disk was the lower disk was four kilometers long by two wide. Encircling the base of each disk was a weapons trench, allowing for three hundred sixty degrees of firing.

A bank of weapons on the front of the hourglass added more forward firing capabilities. There was a pair of side by side main engines right below the upper disk, with a third main engine below at the middle of the hourglass.

The Decimator had been designed to handle an attack by a Tho Yor, enabling it to survive the Ark's pounding, but not without incurring some damage. The Galactic Alliance was taking advantage of this disturbingly well. A pair of Mon Calamari Star Defenders lay siege to the Decimator, and the shrinking distance meant torpedoes and missiles would soon come into play. The Star Defenders encountered diminished resistance from nearby Hapan and Imperial vessels, thanks to the Alliance vessels assailing them.

Darth Krayt's Dragon Squadron would be leading an assault on one of these cursed Star Defenders if not for the three Alliance squadrons, two of which included almost exclusively Jedi, constantly diving at the giant Battle Dragon like ravenous mosquitoes.

Another enemy fighter, this one an X-wing, but unfortunately with a non-Jedi pilot, exploded in a shower of shrapnel as Darth Wyyrlok II scored a hit with the Eviscerator's upper quadgun. Unfortunately, the Sith and their allies were losing fighters more quickly. That was not progress.

Krayt put the Eviscerator on the tail of an E-wing. The fighter's deflector shield began to shudder under the fire of two quadguns. The Sith Lord suddenly broke off, barely avoiding a hail of red energy blasts, blue ion beams, and some proton torpedoes. He spun the YT-1930 around, coming face to face with an X-wing and an X-wing Interceptor. The Jedi Queen and her Chiss, again.

The Sith Lord and two Jedi passed each other, exchanging the customary salvo, and as the former spun his freighter for another pass he noticed the Decimator and pair of Star Defenders were now exchanging torpedoes and missiles. But instead of turning around to face the Eviscerator the two snub fighters continued straight toward the Decimator. They joined up with an E-wing and another X-wing.

A sizable explosion erupted from the side of the Battle Dragon's hourglass, as the Mon Calamari Star Defenders continued to rain Hades. The four Alliance fighters slipped beneath the shield, and immediately commenced a strafing run. Geysers of fire began to spray out from the middle of the upper disk as the rotters flew over it.

Darth Krayt made it through the brief gap in the shield just before it sealed itself up. He flew the Eviscerator beneath the upper disk. "Fire," he ordered Wyrlokk and the freighter's droid brain. The four Alliance fighters passed over the far side of the disk; one of them exploded as the two quadguns scored a hit. It wasn't piloted by the Jedi Queen or her Chiss, of course.

The three remaining Alliance fighters split up. Krayt remained on the Queen's tail. If he and Wyyrlok could kill her, he would claim the Throne of Balance. Darth Krayt would save the galaxy. Yet his quarry didn't even try to turn around... He ground out a Tusken curse. She was distracting him, so that the others could continue attacking the Decimator. She weaved and dodged with maddening ease.

The Jedi Queen launched a pair of torpedoes as she passed by the hourglass. A massive detonation issued from the weapons bank. Smaller secondary detonations followed. Krayt instinctively broke off his attack just as four torpedoes could hit the Eviscerator. He looped around, and decided to try his luck against the Chiss.

Krayt felt a sense of warning an instant before Queen Mother Athena's battle meditation fell apart. No sooner was he repeating that Tusken profanity than a fireball was bursting out of the middle of the upper disk. More explosions tore through the Decimator. as the Alliance fighters ravaged their victim.

Krayt felt sick. The Sith Order, as well as the Decepticons, needed Athena. There were great resources at her disposal, such as the near entirety of the Hapan Consortium's military, and her strength in the Force. The front half of the upper disk broke off, and began to fall toward the hourglass. Just as a great explosion proceeded to tear the half-disk apart, a vessel resembling an eye with wings shot out into space. Ship, and Krayt could sense Athena inside! "Thank the Force," he said, releasing a breath he hadn't known he'd been holding. The depth as his relief surprised him. Was he becoming attached to her?

...

The large laser cannons at Ultra Magnus' shoulders flashed constantly as he exchanged fire with Soundwave. Alloy pellets silently stormed from the muzzle of the shattergun in the Autobot's left hand. In his right hand was the Decepticon Hunter, its saws and mini-blades shaking with barely contained fury. The main blade, into which the smaller weapons were incorporated, had originally been part of the Star Saber before the weapon had been destroyed. Part of the salvaged blade had long ago been reconfigured into a handle, while two other parts had become the hilt in place of the Matrix of Primus. No one knew where the Matrix or missing blade had gone.

Long swords replaced Soundwave's hands as he and Magnus continued to close the intervening distance. The Decepticon Hunter crashed down on one of Soundwave's swords. Magnus spun away from the other sword, avoiding any real damage. Several tiny sparks came to brief life as the blade grazed the deflector shield the Autobot wore just inches from his body.

Magnus reversed his grip on the Decepticon Hunter, and before he could finish his spin, plunged his weapon into the right side of Soundwave's chest. Magnus' grip on the Hunter returned to normal as he tore it out. The Autobot then slashed the sword down on the Decepticon's shoulder. A blast from one of Magnus' energy cannons blew the right arm off. Magnus delivered a brutal kick to Soundwave's chin, throwing him off balance. The Autobot flipped his sword upside down and, letting go of his shattergun, took a two handed grip on the Hunter and plunged it into the center of the Decepticon's chest. The sword came out with glowing bits of silver-white.

Magnus heard an electronic shriek of agony from Orion Pax as he snatched up his gun. He spun around to see the Fallen pulling one of his swords from Orion's chest. Magnus opened fire on the Decepticon and blasted over toward him. Magnus crashed into him, pushing him away from his brother.

A cluster of proton torpedoes and crimson laser beams exploded against the rear of the Fallen's deflector shield. A group of X-wings soared away on arc; a second group followed in the first's wake and launched their own volley.

Magnus turned toward Orion. Energon was slowly leaking out into space. He was dying. The Autobots had already lost Sentinel Prime; they couldn't afford to lose another leader. There might be a way to save Orion. "Yes," the other commed, getting the gist of Magnus' thoughts.

Some of Magnus' chest paneling, surrounding where an organic's collarbones would be, moved upward and outward. His chest and lower torso split also, revealing previously hidden machinery and armor paneling. He turned away from his brother, and appeared to crash backward into him. Magnus' head broke apart, and then reformed around Orion's. The same happened with the legs and arms. Orion's ax-guns moved outward some to accommodate Magnus' large hands. Rather than the two sparks melting into each other, Magnus' spark melted around Orion's slowly leaking spark.

Omega Prime had never existed before. He would only exist once, for a short time, to carry out his appointed task. He would vanquish the evil one. Omega's eyes blazed like white suns. And that same radiant light wreathed the Decepticon Hunter and the two ax-guns.

The Hunter moved as though of its own accord, slapping aside a blast from the Fallen's requiem blaster. The two met each other in a flurry of blades and energy beams. Deflector shields closely wrapped around their bodies acted as armor, absorbing, or at least minimizing, the blows the Cybertronains were landing. The Fallen managed to either deflect or dodge the now glowing shattergun pellets.

Omega Prime felt a sharp pain deep in his chest, within his spark, and realized that it had sprung a leak. Fortunately it seemed like a slow leak. But he knew his time was already nearing... He found himself flying backward on a telekinetic blast of Force energy and an energy bolt. Omega fired his thrusters to stabilize himself.

Then, without fully realizing what he was doing, Omega reinforced his deflector shield in front of his chest... Agony scalded him as a great burst of energy crashed into him. Several chunks of armor and machinery, along with a fair amount of energon, rained out into space. His eyes dimmed, and the shattergun flew out of his hand.

It could not end like this. The Fallen needed to be stopped. Omega Prime pulled at the Force, willing its mighty power to the Allspark and to his own failing spark. Omega could feel his life force burning away as though it had become fuel. He could the Fallen's Requiem Blaster powering up again. Omega fired his thrusters at full power, rocketing toward his opponent. He rolled to the side, barely avoiding the powerful energy burst.

Omega Prime summoned more of the Force to his weapons. The white light surrounding the Decepticon Hunter and ax-guns became white flames. The sword hammered into one of the Fallen's blades, while Omega's free hand slammed into his opponent's chest. And he kept raining vicious blows, driving the Fallen backward.

Yet somehow, the Fallen found a gap in Omega Prime's defenses. One of the Decepticon's blades cut through Omega's shield and began to sink into his already damaged chest. The Autobot tried to spin away as the blade grazed his spark. He could feel the dam bursting, and saw the silvery contents of his spark bleeding off into space. Omega's vision began to go dark.

Omega Prime reached out desperately to the Force, and felt his body start to burn. With that blade still stuck in his chest, he swung the Decepticon Hunter at the Fallen's chest, but stopped short. Omega had the strange feeling that that would be a mistake. The Autobot raised his right knee up, intercepting the Fallen's left blade. Surrendering to the Force, Omega swung his left ax-gun toward the Fallen's neck. As the Fallen repositioned himself to evade the fatal blow, Omega Prime let go of the Decepticon Hunter. He summoned the sword to his left hand. He angled his hand downward, and the sword blade sheared through the front half of the Fallen's neck. With a punch from Omega's right hand, the Decepticon's head flew off into space. The Fallen's beheaded body tumbled backward as though falling, and his blade was torn from Omega's chest.

With his task now completed, Omega Prime could rest. He allowed the darkness of sleep...

Omega's punch carried the his body forward. Megatronus Prime's corpse narrowly avoided a collision with Omega. It was almost as though this particular battle still raged.

But not for much longer. Megatronus' chest irised opened, and the Matrix floated out into space. The silvery artifact reached out to Omega Prime's body through the Force and, being the lighter of the two objects, floated over to the Autobot. The Matrix came to hover above the gaping wound in Omega's chest. His spark pulsed weakly, and its radiance was fading. Dozens of tendrils reached out from the Matrix to touch Omega Prime's spark. The orb flared with white light, and the Autobot's body heaved.

...

As Megatron twisted away from another of Grimlock's attacks, he glimpsed the monstrous new Autobot's fist tearing Megatronus Prime's head from his body. He could practically feel his spark quake in shock. The Decepticons had been on the verge of possessing both the Matrix and the Allspark. They would have won the war. But Sentinel Prime, Unicron cast his spark into the Pit of Eternal Rust, had slagged everything!

And to make matters worse, the Decimator was in its fiery death throes. This was a losing battle, and Megatron needed to escape. He fired his thrusters, but before he could get very far, Grimlock's right hand caught the Decepticon leader's left foot. Megatron swung one of his swords toward Grimlock's head, but it retreated, briefly, down into his chest. The Autobot deflected Megatron's other sword with his left arm. The Decepticon started launching missiles at Grimlock; doing so while this close to an opponent was generally ill-advised, except when one had no other options.

The engine at Grimlock's left elbow flared, slamming his open free hand into Megatron's chest. The Autobot fired off an orange tongue of fire. It burned through the Decepticon's upper right chest, just missing his spark, but sending a spray of energon and shrapnel out into space.

Megatron needed to get away from this beast. He knew Grimlock wouldn't let go of his foot, so he swung his left blade at his own ankle. But Grimlock deflected the blade with his right leg. Then the Autobot fired the weapon in his right hand, burning Megatron's foot off. Just as the Decepticon was blasting away, Grimlock began launching torpedoes. In his damaged state this barrage left Megatron mildly stunned, and his shoulder-mounted cannons briefly ceased firing. For that to happen he had to be seriously damaged.

Grimlock was on him again in an instant, pounding away with his fists and firing away with the dual laser cannon in his chest and the larger laser cannons above his shoulders. Megatron desperately swung his swords and fired everything he had, trying to get this monster off of him. He felt something begin to burn, just before a cascade of sparks issued from his chest.

But Grimlock was gradually pushing Megatron out of Kuat's gravity well. If Megatron could simply hold out long enough... The Autobot opened one of his hands and slammed it into Megatron's chest. In an instant, without even bothering to transform into his alternate form of a Sith Fury Interceptor, the Decepticon configured a hyperdrive within his lower back. Megatron could sense that he was free of the gravity well and, as he engaged his hyperdrive, a shaft of orange fire exploded from Grimlock's hand. It chewed through Megatron's chest, and caused him horrific pain as it melted away through his spark. And then Megatron was cast unto a sea of needle-like star lines, which quickly coalesced into a gray abyss...

A/N: Omega's head resembles his R.I.D. one, but is blue rather than red. One more chapter and then I'm on to Star Wars: The Cybertronian Chronicles: The Rise of Unicron.
