Chapter 10: Discovery
(YUGI POV)
'It all went by so fast. No one could have seen this coming, all the fury and sadness we felt was nothing in comparison to how Seto and I felt, seeing him there battered and bruised, fighting to stay alive.'
#FLASHBACK#
"Someone call an ambulance quick!" Seto yelled to the others as they did so.
"Yami..." Seto said as he held his free hand as he looked at him with a mixture of worry and sadness. "No! don't fall asleep! YAMI!" Seto screamed in sadness as he started to shake Yami. Yugi and Jou ran over to Seto and grabbed both of his arms and pulled him off and away from Yami.
"Seto! Leave him be, he doesn't need any more damage done to him!"
Seto was in shock but quickly brushed it off as he was thrashing about hard enough to break free from their grips so he can be with him. "NO! LET ME GO! I NEED TO HELP HIM AS HE HELPED ME!" Seto angrily screamed as he pushed both Yugi and Jou away and ran towards Yami and cradled his cheek as he looked sadly on at his unconscious face. He always wanted to show his true feelings towards him and wanted to repay him from the help he had given, but now seeing him broken and on the verge of death by his tormentor and kidnapper broke Seto's spirit and sanity for a brief period that caused him to snap and lash out towards anyone who he would see as a threat just to be with Yami.
Yugi knew his feelings but didn't want Seto to hurt him even further than he already was. He walked gently towards Seto and placed a hand on his shoulder and said sadly, "Seto, there's nothing we can do for now. Just wait until the authorities arrive." Seto briefly looked at Yugi and then broke down in sobs as he cradled Yami's hand as everyone could hear the sirens in the distance approached quickly.

It hit everyone hard and I could feel all the pain they felt when they lay eyes on Yami. Luckily the ambulance arrived in time and quickly got him to the hospital. Everything was a blur as the nurses and doctors were shouting at each other to do this and that was we bolted with them and as soon as we hit the door to the main OR, we had no choice but to wait.
"How long has it been?" I said as I continued to look at the tiled floor.
"I don't know but my butt has completely gone to sleep though," Jou replied scratching his numb butt. I laughed a bit as he always tried to cheer me up in the bleakest times but this wasn't the time at all. 'Someone I love and cherish dearly is fighting for his life and at the same time he is in the best hands we can give him, but this is all my fault as I pushed him away into a stranger's arms that almost killed him,' I thought as I sulked and placed my face into my hands.
"Its all my fault!" I sobbed as the pain was unbearable.
"No, it isn't Yugi. You showed how much you cared by searching for him, isn't that right, Seto?" Mokuba reassured me as he placed a warm hand on my shoulder, looking at his older brother. I looked at Seto who was looking at the wall opposite us, but I know he wasn't really as he too was lost in his thoughts, and maybe bottling up his true emotions, and just wanted to hear the verdict on Yami as we all do.
Too bad that Anzu and Honda couldn't come here as I needed the moral support, but I could tell them the news later when we found out it is.
It was not long before footsteps were approaching in a timely manner as I looked up to see a female doctor with jet black hair in a long ponytail with dark brown eyes covered by stylish glasses who was as tall as Seto. She was looking around as I met her gaze as she stood in front of me and the others as she asked, "Are you a relative to Yami Muto?" I nodded at her sheepishly. Her face was a little stern as she then continued speaking, "I can see the resemblance. I am Dr. Hikaru and I will be his doctor." She smiled at all of us.
"Is he okay?" Jou butted in by asking her although she seemed unphased; it's probable that she has been asked that so many times that it's just a common thing to her.
"It looks like he has been through a lot in a little amount of time. You did bring him at the right time because any longer and he would have lost too much blood and died, however, his injuries are ranged from mild to severe." She took a breath as she continued. "He has lost a lot of blood as we are struggling to find transfusions for him as his blood type is rare and we are substituting it with something else the best we can. He has black bruises on his thighs, both nipples which are very raw and damaged and neck. He also has rope burns on his neck, both wrists and ankles. He has sustained a broken wrist on his right arm, 2 broken ribs and a sprained left ankle. We believe he has been brutally raped a few times in which he has sustained tearing and heavy bruising on his insides. We were able to fix it, although we had given him a few sedatives to keep him under so he has more time to heal; they will wear off in a few days or so and if he does wake, he might be susceptible to mental stress and disorders due to what he's been through. I'm sorry."

It was a lot to take in. The boy everyone loved and was popular and well known to the city was now fighting for his life. Everyone felt so overwhelmed by all the information that Seto was the first to respond by getting up and saying, "I need some air," with no emotion as he walked away from everyone. Mokuba looked very worriedly at his brother as it was unlike him to walk away like that, running after him, calling his name.
Jou and Yugi were in shock as they didn't notice this as Dr Hikaru added, "You can see him now as long as you don't mess with. If you'll follow me, I will escort you." Jou was the first to come out of the shock and nodded and got up but looked down at Yugi who was wide-eyed and still in a trance. Jou sighed sadly as who could blame him? The news was devasting as their friend was in critical condition but mending very slowly. He placed a hand on his friend's shoulder to snap Yugi out of it as he coaxed him to stand up. They both followed the doctor.
After a few minutes of following the doctor up a few floors and walking through several corridors and wards, Dr Hikaru reached a white door and said, "This is Yami's room. We will keep him here for a few weeks so he can heal and recuperate, but feel free to contact one of our nurses here if you need more information or help. Goodbye, gentlemen," She finished as she walked off in another direction.
Jou and Yugi looked at the door anxiously as Yugi reached for the door handle but hesitated as Jou watched his friend's actions and asked, "Yugi?" He couldn't bring himself to open it as he felt the tears sting in his eyes. "It will be alright, you can do this," Jou quietly encouraged him as Yugi opened the door.
With Mokuba and Seto…
It was cold outside as the sun was setting in the distance of the city. People were walking around everywhere in any direction of this hospital entrance and small plaza that was littered with benches and trees. Mokuba ran out in search of his brother as he couldn't catch up to his fast walking pace even through the hospital and up to the entrance and beyond. He scanned the area to spot his older brother hiding behind some bushes and next to a tree hunched over, catching his breath. "Seto! What's wrong?" He called out to him as he ran to him and placed a loving hand to his back as Seto flinched and tried to shield his face from his little brother.
"I couldn't take it! I couldn't keep composure! We should've found him sooner! I should've found him sooner! He's gonna pay! He's gonna fucking pay!" Seto yelled angrily in pain as he collapsed to the ground, sobbing in pain and anguish.
Mokuba knelt beside him and comforted him by hugging his back and rubbing it gently. "It's okay, Seto, we did all we could by bringing him here and getting that creep arrested. He may not deserve all of this but we know damn well that he will pull through this because we will all be there to love and support him," Mokuba soothed. He could hear him coughing and shuddering. He's only seen him do this one other time in the past before as he promised him not to talk about it with anyone. However, Seto needed his emotions to be let out like this; he held them in for far too long and hearing about Yami's condition was the tipping point.
Seto's cries subsided into panting and a few sniffles as Mokuba cradled him so. They sat there for a while so his big brother can gather himself. "You alright now, bro?" he asked.
"Yeah, I think so. Thank you for being there for me," he replied.
"No problem. Yugi would have done the same, but I know you better. Come on, let's go see Yami," Mokuba said back as he stood up and lent a hand to Seto. He hesitated for a second before he grabbed it and stood up as both headed back to the hospital entrance.
With Yugi…
"Hi, Grandpa."
"Yugi! Where are you? Are you alright?"
"Grandpa I'm fine, it's just - we found Yami and we are in the hospital."
"The hospital?! Were you hurt? Is everyone ok?"
"Grandpa please don't overexert yourself! Everyone is fine but Yami is in a bad way, but we got him to the hospital in time."
"Oh good, that's a relief you found him; how is he?"
"We found him... he was being raped and we stopped it in time, but we thought that he was going to die. We managed to get him to Domino General and we found out that he had been tortured, beaten and been raped more than once so we need to be there for him and I... want to stay here with him."
"...You want to stay at the hospital? But you need extra clothing and other items."
"You can come up and bring them as I don't want to leave his side. I don't want him to be alone when he wakes, and it will give you a chance to see him and speak to the doctors and sign some bits too."
"Okay, I will be there soon. Goodbye, Yugi."
"Bye, Grandpa." Yugi sadly sighed as he hung up his phone and placed it in his pocket and glanced over to Yami's sleeping form. He smiled sadly because he looked so peaceful as he was not in any pain or anything, but he's not going to be the same when he wakes. He has been through hell enough and he needs all the help he can get. Yugi gently grabbed Yami's hand, carefully not to disturb his I.V.
Jou who stood nearby Yugi felt the pain he was going through and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder as he broke the silence, saying, "Your grandpa worries about you too much, doesn't he?"
Yugi was unphased by his question as he replied, "Yeah, ever since Yami disappeared, he has been worried sick for me and wants me safe. I don't blame him in the slightest." Yugi looked at Jou and smiled as the other did the same. 'He's always been there for me, no matter what,' Yugi thought to himself.
It wasn't too long before the door opened to see Mokuba and Seto walk into the room. Mokuba gasped and held onto Seto's arm tightly as a scared child as Seto walked in and immediately sat down in a chair next to Yami as he looked at him lovingly and held Yami's fingers strongly with Mokuba still holding onto his arm.
Yami was covered in various bandages all over his bruised body; most of his bruises were covered up but the lesser ones were not and were there for all to see the damage caused to him. He wore a typical hospital gown with a blanket on him to hips and one leg was noticeably bigger probably as it is in a cast. Seto looked at his face to see how cute he was when he's asleep, even though he wore a breathing mask to get more air into his battered lungs and chest. He also had many tubes and on him to check his vitals and to give him nutrients.
"Are you alright, Seto?" Yugi asked whilst looking at him.
It snapped him from his daze and answering him so, "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm alright. I just needed some air as I felt sick after hearing the news, but I'm alright now. I just wanted to see how Yami is doing." He looked at Yugi briefly and back to Yami. Yugi can see Seto holding back his emotions towards him, probably not wanting to show it in front of Jou.
They chatted for a while as Yugi told Seto that he wanted to stay here for a few days. Seto wanted his bodyguards to protect him, but he said that was fine as Grandpa turned up to drop some bits off to Yugi. He was shocked to see his grandson in such a bad state and was upset to see that he was found in such a way. He stayed for a while until it was very late and Jou had to go home and alert Anzu and Honda on his condition. Mokuba and Yugi stayed in the room as Sugoroku and Seto left to speak to one of the nurses about some forms to sign to admit Yami in and give consent to various bits. "I'm not too sure on Yugi staying here as I could have one of my bodyguards watch over them," he said to the elder as he chuckled at that remark.
"I know you mean well but Yugi loves him and will do anything to stay with him. You know how stubborn he is, right?"
"You don't understand, Mr Muto!" Seto said back which caused Sugoroku to look back at Seto slightly angry and puzzled. Seto took a deep breath before he pleaded, "I love him too. I am in love with both of them and I want to protect them with my life as much as you do."
Sugoroku glanced up and then chuckled back as Seto looked confused as he then said, "Yami has that effect on people as he is a caring boy. I accept your relationship." Seto felt relieved about that as he was done with signing the papers. Seto saw Dr Hikaru speaking to a nurse so he waited for her to finish. She spotted him as Seto asked, "I want to ask you something."
"What is it?"
2 days later...
The days flew by for Yugi as he rarely spent a day without Yami. Anzu, Honda and Yugi's mother saw them both and they were all shocked and upset to see Yami like that. The sedatives had worn off, so all that was left was for Yami to wake up.
His friends worried over Yugi as he looked like he hasn't slept too well since he was sleeping in an uncomfortable chair, but at least he had company when his friends came over and when the nurses came to check up on Yami and give Yugi some food and drink every now again. 'I wonder when you will wake up,' Yugi thought to himself as he didn't want to use the mind link as he thought Yami would be too weak to respond even if he tried and didn't want him strained even more than he already was. The door opened slowly to reveal his grandfather, Mokuba and Seto.
"How is he today?" Mokuba was the first to speak as he walked in the room and up to the handrail of the bed and looked at Yugi with Seto and Sugoroku following suite.
"Still the same, he's not under any drugs so it's up to his willpower to wake up. I just don't know when," Yugi said sadly.
"Your grandfather and I have been talking and we thought it would be best for you to go home for a bit," Seto stated.
Yugi was shocked as he wanted to stay. "What?! No! I want to stay by his side! Grandpa, you can't agree with him?!" Yugi angrily said as he looked worried and confused at his grandfather, hoping he would say no.
"Seto is right, Yugi. You need a proper bed to sleep in and a shower and hot food in you, but don't worry; Mokuba will watch over him."
Yugi looked at Mokuba who smiled at him excitedly, then he looked over to Seto with a puzzled look, "Why aren't you staying?"
Seto was surprised; he didn't meet his gaze as if he was hiding something. He coughed dryly as he placed a hand behind his head to scratch his hair as he answered, "Yeah, I have a company meeting that I can't back out of."
Yugi's eyes narrowed for a second. 'He's hiding something.' Yugi thought to himself.
Yugi sighed; he had no choice. Even if he fought back, Seto and Grandpa would eventually drag him away by force, and it was true the chair was beyond uncomfortable, and it is true that he hasn't had a shower, and he did smell bad. He sighed again as he said, "Fine, I will come home, but Mokuba, please fill me in on anything that happens." Mokuba nodded in response happily.
He got up and left with Seto and Sugoroku, giving a final look at Yami sleeping as he left the room with them. Seto went off to speak to Dr Hikaru and she handed him a mysterious briefcase before she whispered something in his ear. They went their separate ways as Yugi watched on curiously as he asked him, "What's in the briefcase, Seto?"
"Oh, it's just some documents I needed for something, that's all." Seto smiled at him. Yugi didn't believe him. Not one bit.
Yugi sighed happily being home, still feeling worried about leaving Yami, but he was fine with Mokuba and he needed to rest and be clean. His mind felt a lot clearer after taking a long, warm bath, but it couldn't stop him from worrying over two things.
1. How was he going to break the news to his family about his relationship between Seto and Yami?
2. What was in that briefcase that Dr Hikaru gave Seto? Yugi shook his head and dried his hair with a towel as he got out of the bath and emptied it by pulling the plug. He exited the bathroom to his bedroom to get changed into soft, warm clothes.
He walked down the stairs to hear his mother and grandfather speaking to each other in the living room. He couldn't make out what they were saying but he could tell that they might be talking about him. His mother and grandfather heard a noise from the stairs and saw Yugi coming down and looking at them with a small smile. His mother was the first to greet him. "Yugi! How was your bath? I bet you feel better now," she said cheerfully.
"I'm feeling a lot better now as I needed it, but there is something I want to talk to you guys about," he said slightly worried as he sat down on a nearby sofa. His mother brought over some cups filled with a nice smelling hot drink and placed them on a coffee table in the middle of the living room near the sofas and chairs. She sat down next to him looking concerned as Sugoroku was already sitting in another chair nearby.
"What is it dear?" She asked.
"Well, I don't know how to say this but I am in love with both Yami and Seto," Yugi blurted out quickly and then he closed his eyes tightly as he prepared to hear harsh words of rejection from loving not one, but two boys, one of which was a family member as well. Yugi didn't like the silence as you could cut it with a steak knife, but luckily a voice broke the silence. "We already knew."
"What? Huh?" Yugi looked up as he was confused. This was unexpected so he was speechless. How could they have known? He never told them. He looked at both of his parentals in a puzzled manner.
"Your grandfather told me when he brought you home and I have known you loved Yami from the way you act around him, but it surprised me when he said that you loved the CEO as well. I can accept that as I know you are a sweet and nurturing person to them." She said lovingly as she patted his head which made Yugi feel relaxed and happy, but he felt betrayed that his grandfather told her first.
"How did you know in the first place, grandpa?" Yugi said as he grabbed his cup to take a drink.
"Seto confessed to me at the hospital." Yugi spit out his drink, and his mother scolded him for his bad manners as he wiped his cheeks and chin with his sleeve. "It came right out of nowhere, to be honest." He paused as he chuckled and then continued. "But I understood where he was coming from as I felt sceptical. I didn't want Yami hurt any more than he was, but he looked worried and upset and I could tell from his eyes that he had been crying. I couldn't blame him after what happened. I accepted it knowing he will do anything to keep both of you safe."
Yugi understood it all. It was a load off his mind that his relationship was now accepted and loved, but felt sad that Seto cried and that he hadn't been there for him, but at least Mokuba was. "Phew, that's a load off my mind. I thought I would be shunned or something," Yugi said, relieved. "But what was in Seto's briefcase and why did Mokuba stay with Yami instead of himself?"
This time the silence lasted longer. It didn't feel right to him as he saw his grandfather not meeting his gaze at all like how Seto did the same before. Is there something that he's not telling him? Yugi felt angry. Even his grandfather is lying to him. "What aren't you telling me?!" He said angrily as he took another sip of his drink.
Sugoroku sighed in defeat as he said, "He didn't want you to worry or get sick or anything but the doctor gave him pictures of Yami's injuries because he's gonna take that monster to court."
"What?!" Yugi shouted as he spat out another bit of his drink.
"Yugi!" His mother shouted at him.
With Seto
Seto thought back to when he got what he needed from that doctor.

"What is it?" she asked.
"I want the photos and any evidence of rape you got from Yami," Seto said bluntly.
Hikaru gasped in surprise as she then replied, "I cannot give you that information as it is a violation of..." She said sternly as she was then cut off as Seto rudely interrupted.
"Yeah yeah, I know that speel, but I want that evidence. I want to send that creep to court, and I need anything I can get to win and I don't think you know who I am as I can run you out of this city," Seto said, sounding threatening.
Hikaru stiffened harshly and said, "Come with me and I will show you what we got." She motioned to him to follow her to another room as Sugoroku watched and heard him as he was signing some forms.

"All rise for the honourable judge Fuji," A bailiff said as everyone stood up in the court. Seto looked around to see Yugi's friends: Anzu, Honda and Jounouchi with him to give their testimonies and the various people such as the jury of mixed people of races, gender and age. He then glanced over to Toshiro who smiled maniacally at him as he quivered slightly on the inside but didn't show it as looking at him, in general, gives him the creeps, and yet he still wanted to beat the living crap out of him for hurting his Yami. "Be seated," Judge Fuji said, and they all sat.
The judge looked over to Seto and noticed that he was alone and asked, "Mr Kaiba, before we start, I would like to know why you have no lawyer?"
"I chose to represent Yami and Yugi Muto due to their current medical conditions," He partially lied. (Yugi is not ill in any way - only physically and emotionally exhausted) With being a CEO, he also picked up a few other diplomas in law so no one can go up against him, especially knowing how powerful he is.
"I see, then we will continue as planned. So, how do you plead Mr. Ainara?"
"Not guilty." The court gasped as Toshiro's lawyer Yui who was a young adult woman with orange hair tied in a side pony that went to her shoulder.
She mumbled a mixture of curses and groans as she whispered to him, "You were supposed to say guilty, dumbass, as you know you are up against."
Toshiro cackled and shrugged her off with a sly murmur to her as she moved away from him slightly. Seto raised an eyebrow to this.
"The trial will proceed, so who will you call forth Miss Yui?" The judge says as the female lawyer stood up.
"I would like to call Mr Kaiba to the stand please." Seto got up and walked to the stand as he looked at the judge who was a middle-aged man with a goatee with dark brown hair with a few strands of grey. A bailiff asked Seto to tell the truth as he then sat down in the stand. "So, Mr Kaiba, it seems strange to be alone without a lawyer present, isn't it?" She questioned.
"I choose to represent myself, Yami and Yugi Muto as I am qualified to be a lawyer as well as a CEO of my own company and you know that."
Yui felt her sweatdropped and gulped nervously knowing that very well already, but she cleared her throat and continued. "Alright, that seems to be correct, but can you tell us why Yami and Yugi Muto cannot be here?"
"They cannot attend as Yugi is emotionally unwell and Yami is in a medically induced coma due to his injuries made by your client."
Seto pointed to Toshiro who smiled wildly and threw his head back and cackled loudly as the judge interrupted by saying, "Mr Ainara, can you please stop laughing?"
He then stopped as Yui continued, "So, you entered my client's house without a permit and barged into his 'inner sanctum,' that is his bedroom, to arrest him? And you had five minors with you no less, with a few bodyguards, and police with you. Doesn't that seem strange, your honour?" She looked at the judge.
Seto didn't seem to care as it is true that he brought them with him, but it was justified. "Is that true, Mr. Kaiba?" Fuji asked.
"It is true, but I had them wear riot gear with bulletproof armour in case they are going to be in danger. I needed the help I needed."
"But you did assault my client as soon as you busted down his door down, which is also property damage might I add."
"I did assault him, but it was to pull him off the victim as he was raping him without consent. Bear in mind, Yami was declared missing and we found him in your client's housebound, and looked heavily beaten and abused."
"So, you admit to those claims?"
"I had clearance issued by the chief of police and commissioner to enter the property. I also had some of my bodyguards with me for protection, and of course, I admit to assaulting Mr Ainara."
"Can we trial Mr Kaiba for that?" She said as she looked at the judge, hoping that he would swing her way and to drop the charges given (knowing for a fact like that is ever going to happen) instead.
"It looks like your client's crimes outweigh the ones he's committed if you claim them to be Miss Yui. Do you have anything more to say?"
"No, your honour, I rest my case."
"Now Mr Kaiba, who would you like to call to the stand?"
"I would like to call Toshiro Ainara to the stand," Seto said as he hopped out of the stand so he was standing and now in charge and ready to ask the questions. He watched Toshiro walk up to the stand as he smiled deviously at the CEO. He then sat down as the bailiff once again asked him to tell the truth.
"So, Mr Ainara. What is your connection to Yami Muto?"
"I am a big fan of his."
"Would you say that you are the biggest of fans?"
"Well, I wouldn't say the biggest but yeah, I am one major fan."
"So, major that you would take secret pictures of him, got his address by using those pictures to find out where he lives, swoop in with love letters, then get him out in the open, and then kidnap him as well as beating and raping him."
"Objection your honour!" Yui interjected.
"Overruled, continue, Mr Kaiba," The judge replied.
"So, what made you do it?" Toshiro was very calm for some reason, which irked Seto as if he was either messing with him or as if he's hiding something. He just couldn't tell.
"Well, I was a smart kid back then getting high grades and was promised to make it big in the world and nothing could stop me, but then got into duelling many years ago. I then met my beloved Sakura as we then got married and my darling Kimyōna-Koharu was born. Then when we were at a stadium, where you and Yami were duelling and Yami was doing a meet and greet, Yami shook my hand and smiled at me right in the face and at that moment, I fell in love with him. I would spend hours a day searching up about him, and Sakura saw that I... changed and became more obsessed with him. So obsessed that I forgot about them both and that I lost my high paying job and then I lost...her. She left me and fled the country to never see me again, so it was just me and my daughter."
"And I assume you got a different job to make ends meet?"
"I got a lower income job in a store, but then again I got checks from my mother."
"And what did you do with those checks that your mother Mrs. Michiko Ainara? I assume you spent them wisely on your daughter, but then again you spent it on some very revealing dresses and BDSM stuff. Behold Exhibit A, photos of his 'hidden room' in the house where there were loads of different dresses and outfits in a very specific size and it is not clearly not yours or your daughter's size, and I presume you got the weight and height off from the internet for the person you kidnapped."
"I did, but I brought those for him to wear and sure, I didn't spend my mother's money as wisely as I should have used it on my daughter, but she is doing fine."
"Yeah, because you leave her in the house by herself unsupervised half the time? And in a big house too, surely it must be lonely for her?"
"The house may seem big but she's never alone as she has me."
"I highly doubt that as you are fucking poor Yami." He then showed pictures of Yami's body, courtesy of Doctor Hikaru and the jury gasped. He held up a vial of a strange white-clear liquid. "Exhibit B, as you can see, Yami was found littered with various bruises, rope burns, broken bones and has been raped multiple times and we found your 'DNA' buried deep inside of him and enough to clone you and send both of your asses in prison."
The evidence was clear as day as his semen was found in Yami, and the evidence was mounting upon him, and Yui was out of ideas at this point. Toshiro didn't care even if he was losing the case as he then stated, "I can admit I've done all of that as I wanted to live out my very sexual fantasy with him. Seto was furious at that statement. How dare he say that?! Not all fans are like that and he can't say that about 'his' Yami.
"Is that all you wanted from Mr Ainara?" Fuji asked.
Seto, feeling out of breath and strongly confident as he replied, "Yeah, I think that's it, so I rest my case."
"Miss Yui, do you have any further statements?"
Yui didn't want to give up even though they lost at this point but she thought she had a final ace in her sleeve. "Yes, I would like to call Jounouchi, Honda and Anzu to the stand."
'All three of them?!' Seto thought. They already lost; she's just prolonging it.
Toshiro left the stand and winked at Seto as he passed him back to his seat as the three high schoolers approached the stand. "So, you are friends of Yami? Is that correct?"
"Yes," Jou replied.
"Alright, I want to know why you come with Mr Kaiba to my client's house, even though you are minors and not meant to be there at all."
"Well, we wanted to find our friend and help out," Anzu started.
"We wore armour and everything!" Honda added.
"And we were safe and everything, but I got to be really honest here, does this add to anything because I don't think you have much leg to stand on here," Jou added as Yui was flabbergasted and offended.
"Miss Yui, is this true as you are stalling right now?" Fuji asked as Yui scrambled to find the words to even answer him.
Toshiro burst again in cynical laughter as he says, "My mother was right to hire a stupid bitch like you as you can't even defend me!" He paused to laugh harder as everyone watched him. "Face it skank, we lost! And I don't give a damn anymore because I did what I wanted to my 'sweetheart' and there's nothing you can do about it, rich boy! He will die and there's nothing you can do about it."
Toshiro pushed away from his bench and ran at Seto to pounce on him and Seto dodged him, but suddenly two bailiffs grabbed him by the shoulders to pull him away as they tackled the creep to the ground. He struggled to get out of their grips to no avail.
"Alright, Order in the court! You cannot slander your lawyer in that way and attack another person either! Now, has the jury come to a decision?" The judge asked the jury.
One of them stood up and looked around the room as they said, "We find Toshiro Ainara guilty." Seto silently congratulated himself as Jou, Honda and Anzu shouted out happily.
"Toshiro, you are hereby sentenced to 25 years in prison with no bail. The custody of your daughter will be given to your mother Michiko Ainara."
As this was all happening, in the crowd behind the lawyer's bench, an elderly woman wearing a burgundy Kentucky race hat with a pure white feather sticking out of it as she had a curly silver bob with beautiful Pearl earrings thought, 'What a fool you are Toshie.' She watched the ordeal of Toshiro being handcuffed and carted away by the bailiffs as Seto and Yui shook hands, the three high schoolers coming to congratulate him with cheers and pats on his back.
"Case dismissed!" The judge says as he banged the gavel.
With Mokuba…
Mokuba was sitting next to Yami as he was distracted by his phone as he received a text that Seto won the case as he said, "Finally! That creep got the sentence he deserved!" Little did he know that next to him, a pair of crimson eyes were slowly opening.
