Bella

I looked at Edward when Nessie said yes to becoming Jacob's wife. Though he knew this day was coming, I knew this was going to be the hardest thing for him. Walking her down the aisle to give her to Jake after only having her for five years. But, as he and I had discussed, we would stand by their side in whatever they chose to do. Edward turned to look at me, giving me a slow smile.

"Well, I guess that is that. She is going to be his," Edward said softly as he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close.

"We knew it was coming."

"Yes, but it is still hard. Especially knowing that we are allowing her to join a world that is nothing like our own."

"Would you prefer she chose Nahuel?"

"NO! Absolutely not. That man... something about him sets me on edge." I couldn't help but laugh at his insistence.

"He isn't going to be happy when he hears this news."

"I have a feeling you are right about that. It is almost time for his visit." Ever since Nahuel made his existence known to us and the Volturi, he had not hidden his desire for Renesemee to join him in his life. Ever since then, he had made it his ritual to come and visit for the winter. Usually arriving a month or so after Renesemee's birthday and staying until February or so. This year however, he had sent word that he would be in closer to her birthday than usual. He told Edward there was something he wanted to discuss in person.

"Did he tell you when he would be coming?"

"No. He only said he would be here sooner than usual. I almost wish he would not come at all. He only brings frustration and confusion with him."

"Well, we need to oblige him for the time being. After all, he is the only one who has answers to questions we have yet to ask."

"I highly doubt that he will maintain open communication once he hears of this development," he stated as he motioned toward Jacob and Renesemee, who were now talking to Sam and Emily.

It looked as if Edward was going to say something else but instead he snapped his mouth shut tightly and abruptly as a low growl ripped through his teeth. He turned toward the door of the house and I followed his gaze to see four unexpected guests standing there. Nahuel, Naomi, Uzaria and Hanalomi stood there taking in the commotion. Suddenly, a hush fell across the room as everyone saw our newest guests.

"Well, I guess that answers that question." I said as I looked toward Renesemee who was suddenly white as a sheet.

"And opens the door for dozens more." Edward said softly.

Renesemee

Nahuel stood at the door of the living room, looking around the room at the decorations and everything that was set up around us. When he made eye contact with me, I got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I knew this could not end well. Nahuel had always made it known that he was intending to have me by his side. I knew this day would come, the day I would have to choose between him and Jake, but to me the choice was one that was all too easily made. Jacob was my soulmate. My love. I was his imprint. I was his world. But to Nahuel, I was his future. And this was not something I wanted to deal with right now.

But here it was. The moment stared me in the face. Jacob's ring weighed heavy on my hand as I tried to decipher what exactly was going on. I knew I wanted to marry Jacob and be with him forever. I knew that without a doubt. But as a young girl, I had promised Nahuel and my parents that I would at least try to give Nahuel a fair shot. This was anything but fair.

Nahuel came once a year to be with me and to try and establish a friendship. Last year however, I had told him of my relationship with Jacob. I was sure that would have ended his yearly visits. Nevertheless, here he was, with three of his four sisters. No doubt to try and change my mind. Well my mind was set. Nahuel would never have me. I was Jacob's. Always.
