GO GO GRYFFINDOR! Anyways, please enjoy and tell me what you think!

Great hall –Morning-

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Emily all sat at the table during breakfast before the big Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin! Harry was picking at his food while Emily was devouring it. "Take a bit of toast mate, come on" Ron said trying to encourage Harry to eat something. "Ron's right Harry, you'll need your strength today" Hermione said looking up from her own food and Harry set down his fork. "I'm not hungry" he said and Emily looked up to see Professor Snape walking up behind Harry.

"Good luck today Potter, then again you've proven yourself against a troll, a little game of Quidditch should be easy work for you. Even if it is against Slytherin" He said and he looked at them all before walking away, with a limp. Harry and Emily looked at him walking away and muttered the same thing. "That explains the blood" and Hermione looked at them confused. "Blood?" she asked and Harry went on to explain. "Listen, last night I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion…so he could get past that three headed dog, but he got bit that's why he's limping." Harry explained and Hermione looked puzzled. "But why would anyone, besides Emily, go near that dog?" she asked and Emily smiled. "The day we were at Gringotts getting money for school, Hagrid took something out of one of the vaults. Said it was Hogwarts business, very secret" Emily explained from her copy of the newspaper. "So you're saying…" Hermione started but Harry jumped in. "That's what the dog's guarding, that's what Snape wants." He said and they all shared a look before they heard Headwig, Harry's snowy white owl, hooting from above and they all looked up to see her carrying a parcel wrapped in brown paper. She flew over them and dropped it into his hands before he laid it out on the table. "Bit early for mail isn't it?" Hermione asked and Emily smiled. "Did Aunt Bloom send something?" he questioned his cousin, who shrugged her shoulders, and Ron smiled. "Well, let's open it" he suggested and the four of them started un-wrapping the parcel. Once the brown paper was gone, on the table laid a broomstick and Emily looked at it surprised. "It's a broomstick" Harry said amazed and Ron started geeking out. "It's not just a broomstick Harry, it's a Nimbus 2000!" he said and Harry looked at Emily confused. "But who…?" he asked and looked over to where his owl was and noticed that she was being petted by Professor McGonagall herself who had a smile on her face. Harry nodded and mouthed a thank you before she nodded in acknowledgement. Emily helped him throw all the paper away and then they made their way to the dorm so they could get ready for the match.

Quidditch Match-Stands

Ron, Hermione and Emily join their classmates as they prepare to cheer on the Gryffindor house in the first match of the year against Slytherin. Little did anyone know that she had enchanted her binoculars to record the events of the game and send it to her parents on Sparks, who would be watching from the screening room in the palace along with their many friends. Soon the cheering became deafening when the Gryffindor team came flying out from their "tunnel" and flying around the field getting into position. Soon a voice was heard over the crowd on a loud speaker.

"Hello and welcome to the first Quidditch game of the season. Today's game, Slytherin versus Gryffindor!" the kid shouted and her entire box exploded on cheers. The players fly around and get into position before the kid starts talking again. "The players take their positions as Madam Hooch steps into the field to start the game."

Emily looked down at the teacher dressed in robes resembling a referee and couldn't hear what she was saying because of all the cheering but she did see her kick the box and it opened to let the bludgers and the Golden Snitch out. "The bludgers are up, followed by the golden snitch. Remember the snitch is worth 150 points; the seeker who catches the snitch wins the game. (Madam Hooch picks up a brown ball and releases it into the circle of broom riders.) The quaffle is released and the game begins!" the announcer said before people started cheering again.

Soon a girl from Gryffindor chases after the ball and grabs it while dodging all the other players before throwing the ball in one of the hoops. "Angelina Johnson scores! Ten Points for Gryffindor!" he shouts and everyone cheers. She looked up to find Harry and saw him almost get knocked off his brown by a bludger because he wasn't paying attention, he was too busy cheering. He soon recovers and grabs his broom again. "Slytherin takes the Quaffle; Bletchley passes to Captain Marcus Flint." The announcer days and Emily watched as the guy with the Quaffle kicks away one of the Gryffindor players and attempts to toss it through a hoop but Wood blocks it with his broom and it goes flying. After some fancy flying from Gryffindor around the stands they score another goal, to which the stands go crazy.

"Another 10 points for Gryffindor!" and the cheering got louder. Later on in the game, Emily was getting tired and started floating the binoculars in-front of her with her wand instead of holding them the whole time. She looked up and saw a Slytherin player grab a stick from his fellow teammate and knock a bludger toward wood and he fell from his broom and hit the sand under the goal. The entire Gryffindor section booed while Malfoy and the other Slytherin patrons laughed. Emily looked up at the game and spotted a red head flying around and thought it was Fred but it could also be George, she could never tell the difference. Soon before she knew it Slytherin had scored twice and she looked around confused. "What just happened?" she asked and Ron sighed. "We're tied that's what" he said and she looked up at Harry who was bummed as well. He must have gotten a glimpse of the snitch because he started flying real fast all of a sudden and then his broom started acting up. It kept jerking him around and going completely nuts. "What's going on with Harry's broomstick?" Hagrid asked and Hermione looked around before spotting something in the teacher's box. She leaned over to herself and Ron before whispering. "It's Snape, he's jinxing the broom!" "Jinxing the broom, what do we do?" Ron asked looking up at Harry. "Leave it to me" she said and disappeared into the rafters. "Hey where are you going?" Emily whispered and Hermione smiled "Just watch Harry and make sure he doesn't fall" she said and disappeared again. Emily rolled her eyes before looking back to the match. Eventually the broom that Harry was on flipped him over but he managed to hang onto it with both hands as it was still trying to get him off. It was a few minutes later until she saw the teacher's box freaking out because Snape's robes were on fire. Emily giggled because it was then she realized exactly what Hermione was doing and watched as Snape stomped the fire out that was consuming his robe. As soon as it was out she looked back up at Harry, and noticed that the broom had stopped moving. So he swung up and sat on the broom amongst all the cheers, and followed the snitch again. He battled it out with a player from Slytherin while knocking into each other to try and throw one of them off the broom. The Snitch must have dived toward the ground because that is exactly where the two of them went.

When it looked like they were gonna crash into the ground, the seeker from Slytherin pulled up before Harry did and he did so just in time before he hit the ground.

As soon as he was level with the ground, he started to stand on his broom and reach for the Snitch. He inched closer and closer until he flipped off the broom, rolled on the ground and stood while holding his stomach. Emily made sure to zoom in on his face with the binoculars and smiled. "It looks like he's gonna be sick" Hagrid announced amongst the surprised gasps. Eventually he spit out a little golden ball and caught in his hands. "He's got the Snitch! Harry Potter receives 150 points for catching the Snitch!" the announcer cheered and her box went nuts. She faintly heard a whistle and a shout "Gryffindor wins!" madam Hooch cheered and the whole stadium, save for the Gryffindor box, cheered as Harry held up the Snitch and his teammates surrounded him while clapping.

Emily made sure to capture the smile on Harry's face as he held the Snitch. The binoculars snapped a picture of him, and Emily stowed them away so she could get the picture developed later.

Once the crowds had dissipated and offered their congratulations to the Gryffindor team, Emily approached her cousin on the field and smacked him on the back with a smile. "Nice job Harry. That was an amazing recovery of the snitch!" Emily said and the boy blushed with all the attention he was getting and slightly cringed when she hit him in the back. "Anyways, you should hit the showers and meet me in the great hall for dinner. I'll see you there cous." Emily said and walked away with Ron and Hermione.

Harry smiled at her as she was walking away, and Oliver Wood came up next to him to drape his arm around his shoulders. "You did a great job Harry. A little bit of showing off but I think you will be a great addition to the team. Come on" he said and almost dragged him to the "showers" to get cleaned off.

Oooooookay, it has been a while since I posted an update, and I am so sorry I made you guys wait so long. COVID has been really annoying lately and has been taking up a lot of my time at work and resting at home. It has also been a mix of that and writer's block. Please read this and review!
