After seemingly being killed, Chris is transported to another world by an unatural phenomenon called "The Breach" and is given the power to turn into a Titan. Armed with the knowledge of this world, Chris has to face threats from both Human, Grimm, and Titans alike...what could go wrong? A lot apparently.

18. Painting The Town Red

Professor Goodwitch's Class (3rd Person POV)

With a slash of her weapon, Chris's opponent sent him flying towards a wall. He struggled to get back up as he hunched over, trying to get his breath back. His opponent saw this as an opportunity to strike and took another slash at him.

Fortunately, Chris's reflexes took over and managed to block her attack with his blade. Using that opportunity, he pushed the side of his blade up, making his opponent stumble backwards

Using that opportunity, Chris went in for a slash, only for his opponent to use her semblance at the last moment. Another slash came his way, but rolled out of the way just in time.

But as he got up, he was struck in his abdomen, sending him flying towards the wall once more

"And that's the match!" A voice said, as the lights suddenly turned on

Chris's opponent walked over to him and extended her arm. His opponent turned out to be Ruby Rose. He quickly took her hand, letting her pull him back up on his feet

"Nice job, Ruby" Chris said, with solemnly disappointed in his voice

Ruby chuckled "Thanks. You weren't too bad yourself"

He knew that she was trying to be encouraging. He knew that he couldn't keep up with her, even for a second in that fight. He loathed getting picked for duels he had in combat class. He just saw it as another time to get beaten, which didn't help with his moral, considering other things were going on

"Ruby Rose is the victor. Would both of you please return to your seats?" Glynda asked

Chris and Ruby nodded as they walked back towards their seats. He picked up his sword off of the ground and slid it back in it's hilt. As he sat down, Jeffery was trying to be as supportive as he can

"Well done, man. Despite how she looks, she's pretty tough" Jeffery tried to reassure

Chris held his side, cringing at thr pain from the bruise he got from the fight "Y-Yeah...so...what is my win-loss ratio?"

"Um...let's see, that's another one to your opponent. So that's twenty-six for everyone...and that's...ten to you" Jeffery said "The only one you've beaten is Cardin. But...isn't Dagon's strength enough?"

(3rd Person POV)

Chris sighed "Don't worry about it" He said as he turned his attention towards Professor Goodwitch

"Wth the Vytal Festival drawing so close, we must proceed to more advanced techniques and learned to devise combat strategies quickly and efficiently. In the Vytal Festival tournament, you will not be battling on a plain battlefield" Glynda said "As she pressed her tablet, a small screen popping up showing some kind of simulation "Instead, the stadium is programmed to simulate life-like environments. For example, you might be fighting your opponents on a tropical beach, or in a dark forest, maybe even...a frozen wasteland. You must learn to adapt your fighting style to these new environments, which means that your homework is to familiarize yourself with these different battlefields. You will be tested on them at the end of the week. Class dismissed!"

At that note, everyone got up from their seats. Chris was till holding his side from the pain

"Are you alright?" Alice asked

"No...not really" Chris said

"Do you...want to talk about it?" Alice asked

"Maybe later. We still have one more class after this" Chris said

Professor Port's Class (3rd Person POV)

Everyone was currently sitting in Professor Port's..."lecture". Normally no one was paying attention, they had heard his stories countless times. But if they had to sit through it, they had to deal with it.

But at this point, everyone couldn't wait until the bell to ring so that everyone could get out. Right now, it was about 3:59 PM, literally one minute on the clock...however it felt like an eternity

"Hey, Weiss" Jaune whispered out to her "So I was thinking that after this we can grab a bite to eat?

"..." Weiss stayed slient

"So I got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie if you wanna make the trip to Vale, I heard it's awesome!" Jaune suggested

"..." Weiss remained silent

"And, maybe after that, we could study together?" Jaune suggested "I mean you're smart, and I'm uh...you know"

But before Jaune could continue, he was interrupted by the bell, indicating that it was now 4:00 PM. The sudden noise caused everyone to shoot up from their seats and rushed out the door

"And then I-Oh, it seems I timed that one wrong. Well, the stunning conclusion to the story will have to wait till next class. You are dismissed!" Port said

Jeffery slowly got up, and lightly laughed "Yeah..."stunning"." Jeffery said, putting quotations on stunning

"Weiss? Did you hear me?" Jaune asked

Weiss got up from her seat "No, no, no, yes" She said, causing Jaune to faceplant on his desk

"Damn...that was cold" Chris said

"I don't think I'll have a drink of water near her heart...that was stone cold!" Jeffery said

"I heard that!" Weiss shouted, as she walked out of the classroom.

Soon Ruby, Blake and Yang walked past Jaune, who still had his head on the table. Yang then ruffled his hair "One day"

"You know Jaune, I can help you study if you want." Pyrrha suggested

"No thanks, I'll just go to back to our dorm rooms for the day." Jaune said as he walked away

"Oh… okay." Pyrrha said as she banged her head on the table.

"Soon." Jeffery said as he rubbed Pyrrha's head.

"I just don't get it! What am I doing wro-" Pyrrha cut herself off "How...did you know-"

Jeffery cut her off "Pyrrha...I think every one of us know's about that"

Pyrrha's face turned red that rivalled her hair as she started mumbling "Are you...going to tell him?"

Jeffery shook his head "Nah. I don't rat people out like that. Besides, it's better if you told him how you felt instead of just giving these stupid and vague hints maybe he might consider it."

Team CJA_ Dorm (My POV)

We were all sitting in dorm. Jeffery was packing, as Alice also got ready. Me on the other hand, I was just sitting on my bed, sharpening my katana, while staring at my own reflection in the sword

"Hey, Chris?" Jeffery said, catching my attention "You've been staring into that thing for a while now"

"Yeah...I know" I said

"Is it about...what happened yesterday?" Alice asked

"Yeah...and my grades in combat class isn't exactly helping with my morale" I said "I mean sure, we fight monsters for a living, but people...that's a different story. And with what's coming up...I don't think I'll be ready before then"

"Wait, do you mean the Vytal Festival?" Alice asked

"Well, why don't you ask others for help?" Jeffery suggested, changing the subject "I mean, Yang can help you with hand-to-hand combat. That would be extremely useful!"

I shrugged "They're busy with other things at the moment"

"Well then just ask her later" Alice said

I sighed in response, they both had me. I had to go now, wheter I liked it or not. I admit, I do need the extra help...but...I'm kind of embarrassed to ask

"Anyways, let's go alread-" Jeffery tried to say, but suddenly stopped

"Are...you okay?" I asked

Jeffery simply pointed towards the window. I looked behind me to see a figure steadily walking across the windows ledge, revealing itself to be Neptune

"How...did he get up there?" Jeffery asked

"He...has his ways" I said

"No, I mean seriously...how!? Did he scale a building? Jump out of a window and caught a ledge? Did he fly? Did h-" Jeffery tried to say

I cut him off "Okay, that's enough questions for one day" I said as I got up "I have to use a restroom, I'll be right back" I said as I closed the bathroom door

Team CJA_ Dorm (3rd Person POV)

As Chris left for the restroom, the door closing behind him. Alice sighed slightly, which didn't go unnoticed by her teammate "Something wrong?"

"No...Yes...Maybe" Alice said "It's just, I don't know what's wrong with him?"

"Confidence" Jeffery said

"Confidence?" Alice asked

"Considering what happened after the fight with Mechagodzilla, nearly dying in the process and with the arrival of Atlas and their anti-Titan weaponry, I'm afraid this will cause him to lose confidence and doubt himself" Jeffery said

"How do you know?" Alice asked

"Let's just say I've been in his footsteps" Jeffery said "So I gotta help somehow"

Alice smiled "You always seem to help people, no matter who. Despite your...brazenness, you have a good heart"

"Aw, thanks" Jeffery said, rubbing his nape

"But..." Alice trailed off

"But what?" Jeffery asked

"When will you let someone help you?" Alice asked

"Huh?" Jeffery questioned "Wait did you use your semblance on me!?"

"What! No-no! It's just..." Alice trailed off "...You're the kind of person that makes everyone smile, lifting their spirits up in the darkest and stressful of times...but you, yourself are still trapped"

"Wait, what do you mean by trapped?" Jeffery asked

"I mean that you trapped...you" Alice said

"That...doesn't make any sense" Jeffery said "Besides, I should focus on my friends before myself. It's what my mom taught me after all" He said as he got up "I'll be waiting by the car. If you don't hurry up, Ill leave your asses in the dust"

Alice chuckled, knowing that he was joking. Jeffery chuckled as he closed the door

Team RWBY Dorm (3rd Person POV)

"Ugh, I thought that class would never end." Blake groaned.

Blake's new outfit consisted off of a white, v-neck, zip-up crop shirt with a black hem and three-quarter sleeves. Her emblem is printed in off-white on the left side of the shirt. She wears black pants that have a vertical gray stripe on the outer side of each leg and a black belt.

Attached to the rear of the belt is a black piece of fabric that covers her from hip to hip. Underneath this is a longer, translucent, purple piece of fabric. She also wears black high-heel boots with two straps and buckles and purple underoles, reaching to mid-calf. She retains the black ribbons on her forearms and her black bow.

"Tell me about it." Yang said, as she loaded Ember Celica

Yangs new outfit consisted of a deep-collared cream vest worn over a low cut black shirt; both are covered by a dark gray shrug with a raised collar, three-quarter sleeves adorned with a single black stripe down the outside of each sleeve, and gold cuffs. A black mini skirt is worn under the cream vest.

A pair of crooked black belts with gold accents are slung around her hip, with a purple piece of fabric attached to the left-rear section of the lower belt. She wears thigh high stockings attached to her miniskirt by garter-belts on the front and back of each thigh, decorated with four golden studs above her knee and her emblem on the outside of each thigh in gold. She also wears black ankle boots with multiple buckles and white ribbons on the back tied in a bow. Around her neck is a purple pendant set in silver.

"You're one to talk, you slept through most of it!" Weiss said. As she got changed into her new outfit, which consisted of a white, double-breasted pea coat with black piping, cuffs, and buttons over a white, pleated full skirt with black lace trim. She also wears a pair of white, thigh-high boots with black heels and lace-topped black stockings.

"And sleeping takes a lot of energy." Yang said with a grin.

"Alright guys, todays the day. The investigation, begins!" Ruby cheered, jumping off of her bed

Ruby's new outfit consists of a long-sleeve, light gray shirt with black belted cuffs near the ends of the sleeves. Over top of the gray shirt is a black pinafore with two vertical lines of red stitching that resemble the lacing on a corset. She wears a red skirt with a large black print of her emblem on the side and matching black tulle underneath.

Her stockings and shoes remain the same as her original outfit, though the boots lack the red trim that decorated the top. A few pieces of metal arranged in the shape of a rose are attached to the shoulder of her left sleeve, and her cloak's hood has been wrapped around her neck in a scarf-like fashion, while the rest hangs down like normal.

"I'm glad to see that we are taking this so seriously" Weiss said, sarcastically

"Hey! We got a plan. That's...moderately serious" Yang said "But...do we really need to change outfits?"

"Do we need to?! Of course we do! How could you ask such a thing?!" Weiss asked.

"Yeah! Everyone knows that you need to change clothing when you're doing something important!" Ruby said.

"We do?" Blake asked.

"Yes!" Ruby and Weiss said in unison.

Ruby shook her head "Right, everyone remember their roles?"

"You and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies, or inconsistencies" Weiss said "Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem

"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. f I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning" Blake said

'I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale" Yang said "Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard"

"Great, we'll meet up tonight near Yang to go over what we've found" Ruby said "Let's do this!"

"Yeah!" A voice shouted. RWBY whipped their heads towards the window to see Sun hanging by his tail

"Sun!" Blake shouted in surprised as everyone stepped back from the windowsill

"How did you get up there?" Yang asked

"Ah, it's easy. I do it all the time" Sun casually said

"You do what!?" Weiss shouted

"I climb trees all the time!" Sun said, as Weiss's eyes narrowed "So, are we fianlly getting back at that Torchwick guy?"

"We, are going to investigate the situation. As a TEAM" Blake implied

"Sorry Sun, we don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to" Ruby apologized

"Pfft, that's dumb. You should always get friends involved" Sun said "That's why I brought Neptune" Sun said, pointing out the window

Team RWBY stuck their heads out to see Neptune standing on the ledge "'Sup"

"How dd you you even get up here?" Ruby asked

"I have my ways" Neptune said, but looked down "Seriously though, can I come in. We're like really high up right now"

Yang shook her head as she pulled Neptune in

"All right. I'll go with Weiss Sun, you can go with Blake" Ruby said "And Neptune, you can go with Yang since she doesn't have a partner" Ruby said as she pushed Neptune towards Yang, as he winks at Weiss "Everyone good?"

"Actually Ruby, why don't you go with Yang, ha. After all she is your sister" Weiss said

"But Weiss, who would go with you then?" Ruby asked

"Well...I guess Neptune could come with me" Weiss suggested

Ruby laughed "Nah" She said as she started pulling Weiss out the door

"But! But!" Weiss tried to say

"Hang on... shouldn't you invite the big guys?" Sun asked "You know, just incase you run into a big problem" Sun said, empathizing on the word big

"Uh...who's...the big guys?" Neptune said, slightly scared

"It's nothing" Blake said "I saw them walk out a few minutes ago"

Beacon Tower (3rd Person POV)

So the group split up, each member going in their separate directions.

Weiss, Ruby, Scarlet and Neptune were on their way to the C.C.T.

Blake and Sun were on their way to the next White Fang recruitment meeting.

Finally, Yang and Sage were going to Junior's night club.

The first group had already made their way to the C.C.T and were marveling of the sheer size of it.

"Wow! I forget how big the Transmit Tower looks so close!" Ruby marveled.

"You should see the one in Atlas." Weiss said.

"That was the first one, right?" Ruby asked.

"Correct." Weiss said. "Atlas developed the Cross-Continental Transmit System to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another. It was the gift to the world after the Great War."

"Ooo, look at me, my name is Weiss, I know facts, I'm rich!" Ruby said as she started to giggle.

"Don't be a pest." Weiss scowled "Besides, the only reason we're here is because you like the tower so much. We could've just as easily made a call from the library"

"I know but it's so cool!" Ruby said "Oh! I'm going to take a picture!" Sh said as she pulled her scroll out. However she lost her grip and started to fumble with it. Her scroll then landed on the ground, and right next to a certain someone

"Oh. You dropped this" Penny said

"Penny!?" Ruby asked, surprised

"Uhh..." Penny stumbled

"Where have you been?! We haven't seen you since the night at the docks" Ruby said

"S-Sorry, I think you're confused" Penny said, as she suddenly hiccuped "Uh...I've got to go" She said as she suddenly ran off

"What was that about?" Weiss asked

"I don't know" Ruby said "But I'm going to find out" She said as she ran after Penny "You go make your call, I'll meet up with you later!"

"Wait!" Weiss tried to say, but was too late "Ugh"

As Penny walked off, Ruby managed to catch up to her "Penny! Where have you been? It's been weeks!"

"There seems to be a misunderstanding" Penny said, followed by another hiccup

"What?" Ruby said, confused "Penny...Is everything okay?" Ruby tried to say but fell upon deaf ears. She suddenly ran up to her and grabbed her arm "Penny, please, stop! Look, I don't know what's wrong. But you have to listen to me. Those guys we fought tat the docks, we think they're up to something big. Something big! and they may have people like Chris, Jeffery and Alice! I need you to tell me what happened to you that night" Ruby pleaded "Please...as a friend"

Penny sighed as she looked around, almost as if she was...looking for someone. She leaned over to Ruby's ear "It isn't safe to talk here. And...what do you mean like Chris, Jeffery, and Alice?"

"Oh...uh...hehe" Ruby stumbled

(Timeskip) City Of Vale (3rd Person POV)

Shortly after leaving her partner for the investigation. Ruby left with Penny to walk the streets of vale, all the while trying to figure out what happened that night.

Whenever Penny asked Ruby of what she meant of people like Chris, Jeffery, and Alice, she just played it off. Saying that it was nothing

"I wish I could help you, Ruby. But I don't know anything about those men" Penny said

"Well, what happened to you that night?" Ruby asked "We were all together and then you just disappeared. Were you kidnapped?"

"Oh no, nothing like that" Penny said

"Well then where did you go?" Ruby asked

"I've never been to another kingdom before" Penny said "My father asked me not to venture out too far, but, oh you have to understand, my father loves me very much. H just worries a lot"

"Believe me, I know the feeling" Ruby said "But, why not let us know you were okay?" Ruby asked

"I, was asked, not to talk to you" Penny said "Or Weiss...or Blake...or Yang. Aybody really"

"Was your dad that upset?" Ruby asked

"No, it wasn't my father" Penny said

"The AK130 has been a standard security model of Remnant for several years." They heard someone say.

"Who's that?" Ruby asked.

"And they have done a fine job wouldn't you agree? Wouldn't you agree?" He asked. "But the kingdom of Atlas is a kingdom of innovation. And fine, well that's just not good enough is it?"

As he said this, the door behind the security bots opened and revealed a newer and better set of security bots.

"Presenting, the Atlesian Knights!" Ironwood said."Smarter, sleeker, and admittedly, a little less scary. These models will become active later this year but they won't be alone. Now the Atlesian Military has always supported the idea of removing men from the dangers of the battlefield. However, there are still many situations that undoubtedly require, a human touch."

"Ruby." Penny said warningly.

"So, our kingdom's greatest minds, in cooperation with the Schnee Dust Company are proud to introduce, the Atlesian Paladin!" Ironwood said as his image faded from the crowd and was replaced with a giant robot, earning a round of applause "And now introducing for the first time, the Last Hope of Humankind..." He trailed off, as the hologram of the Atlesian Paladin was now replaced with the image, of some sort of robot

The robot resembled that of the King Of The Monsters...it was Mechagodzilla. However the mech now supported a light silver colour, with various areas on it's body exposing black wires underneath. It's head was long and narrow, with a long metal spike from the top of it's head. Instead of red eyes, the mech now possessed large, yellow eyes that ere close together. It's mechanical dorsal fins were also bigger, and it seemed that it had it's finger missles removed and replaced with some sort of drill hand

It also supported two, blue rocket launchers attached to its shoulder, along with two railguns on its wrists

Ruby's eyes widened "Wait, isn't that-"

The hologram of Ironwood cut her off "The Multipurpose Fighting System Type-3!" He shouted, earning another round of applause from the audience "But for simplicities sake, call it Kiryu. Built in Godzilla's image, this machine is more than a match for the monsters that have been plaguing our beloved cities"

"Wow..."

"I wonder how it compares to those monsters?"

"Now you may be wondering...how does it compare to these monsters. Allow me to demonstrate" He said as the hologram changed scenes once more, showcasing the icy terrain of Solitas. The land was filled to the brim with snow, ice, and even a few glaciers. Snow began to fall as the earth shook under the mechs weight as it made its way through the frozen tundra of Solitas, until...it suddenly stopped.

It turned bck and forth, metal creaking with ever turn, almost as if it was looking for something. After a few moments, the ice started to shake, forcing the tundra's wildlife to flee from the aftershock. The ground then suddenly exploded, snow, rocks and ice flew across the area as a snowy mist began to form

The mist soon faded, showing what bursted out of the ground

The monster resembled that of a giant ankylosaur. Its head is long, puffy, and slightly inward, similar to a crocodiles, laced with razor sharp teeth with noticeable canines and had several horns that curved inward, with a single small horn on the end of its snout. It had a carapace with a plethora of long, sharp, and prickly spikes. It's tail was also long with it's tip being covered in spikes.

"MRRRRAWWWWWWWWWWN"

The monster roared out in challenge as it suddenly charged forwards before curling up into a ball, launching itself towards the mech. The machine-dragon brought it arms up, bracing for the coming impact. The dragon struck the mech, making it skid across the ground.

The mech immediately recovered and grabbed the subterranean dragon by the neck and tail, cracking it's armour and making it roar out in pain. The mech then slowly lifted the monster over it's shoulders, its joints clicking in place before suddenly hurling it several feet. The dragon landed on the ground with a loud thud, making the very earth tremble under it's weight

The dragon got up, shaking it's head in annoyance. It turned back towards the mech, casting angry glare as it snarled at it. The dragon roared once more as it charged the mech, causing the mech to block the oncoming attack once more. However, the subterranean dragon suddenly stopped, sliding against the ice, until it turned it's body around and slammed it's spikey tail against the mech's head, making it stumble backwards.

The machine caught itself on a nearby by glacier. Panels began to open on the side of it's back and legs as jet boosters popped out. The boosted then ignite, allowing the mech to slide across the ice with ease. Using it's own momentum, the mech slammed it's whole body against the dragon, sending it flying several feet

But before it got the chance to recover, the mech used its boosters once more. As it slid towards the dragon, the mech reeled it's clawed fist back. As it got close, the mech's hand suddenly made contact with the dragons face, knocking it to the ground once more.

The dragon immediately recovered and lunged it's jaws towards the mech, who brought it's arms up, allowing the dragon to bite Kiryu's arm instead. Using it's free arm, a blade popped out of its rail-gun and drove it in the dragons flesh, making it let go of Kiryu's arm.

As the mech countinued to drive it's blade into the monsters flesh, staining the Atlas snow red. Out of desperation to get the blade off, the dragon tried to slam it's tail at the mech, only for it to use its boosters to jump over the attack, landing further away from the monster. Kiryu roars towards the dragon as it suddenly unleashed a barrage of missiles from its back

The missiles suddenly struck the dragon, blasting portions of it's flesh off as it's armoured carapace began to crack from the barrage of attacks, making it roar out in pain. As the dragon tried to stand up, the mech suddenly lifted both of it's arms up as it began to fire lasers from the rail-guns on it's arms, striking the dragon and making it fall flat on it's back

Moments passed until the dragon slowly got up from the ice, smoke pouring of of it's body. It knew that it was outclassed, but the number one thing that kept it going, was pride. But it also knew that pride was going to get himself killed one day. The dragon snorted as it turned around and suddenly began to claw at the ice, burrowing into he ground, disapperring from sight

"SKKKREEEEEEEEENK" The mech roared in victory as the hologram turned back towards Ironwood

"As you saw, Kiryu is exceptionally skilled in combat, however even with it's new arsenal, it is far better suited for long range strikes. Like it's ultimate weapon..." Ironwood trailed off, the hologram showing a screen of the mech in action once more. This time however, it was facing a large building

The mech spread its arms apart as it's chest panels began to open into three parts, revealing some sort of weapon. The wires in Kiryu's chest began to glow, converging into the middle, eventually forming a large, blue orb that was pulsating with energy.

After a few seconds of charging, the mech fired the orb from it's chest. But as it struck the target, to everyones surprise...the building froze. The mech lifted it's tail of the ground, before slamming it, the impact causing the entire structure to crumble in a matter of seconds "The Absolute Zero Cannon!" He shouted, earning yet another round of applause, louder than the ones before

"Now we couldn't have them here for you today. But these mechanized battle suits will be seen defending the borders of our kingdoms within the year!" Ironwood said.

"Whoa..." Ruby said in awe

"Ruby...I think we should go someplace else" Penny warned, as she saw two Atelsian guards staring towards her, prompting the girl to run

"Wait! Where are you going!?" Ruby shouted, as she the two guards running towards them

"Over here! She went this way!" One of the guards said.

"Penny! Hold up!" She called out, though Penny showed no signs of stopping.

Ruby looked behind her to see that the guards were gaining on looked around to see if there was anything she could use as a eyes eventually settled on a pile of crates being held up by a wooden stand. Ruby took out Crescent Rose as she cut the woon boared with her blade, causing the crates to fall to the ground.

Ruby jumped onto the wall and used her speed semblance to grab Penny "This way!" She yelled as she sped down the alleyway. The huntress-in-training was able to hold this momentum for a good few seconds before tiring out and falling to the ground and rolling onto the road.

She slowly got off the ground, as she suddenly heard a truck horn, one that was coming towards her. She tried to use her semblance to move out of the way, but her legs wouldn't move from the ground.

"Ruby!" She heard Penny cry out.

Penny quickly pushed Ruby out of the way and held her hands out in front of her, causing the truck to stop in its tracks.

"Are you okay?!" She asked the driver.

The driver simply nodded, marveled on how a mere child could stop a truck in its path with just her bare hands. Everyone stared at the scene in awe, clearly impressed that the girl stopped a truck with her bare hands

was it her semblance?

"Whoa." She said.

Penny didn't say anything, she just continued to run down the alleyway.

"Penny! Wait!" Ruby called out. "Penny! Please, what is going on?! Why are you running?! How did you do that?!"

"I-I can't! Everything is fine!" Penny said, only to hiccup immediately after.

"I-I don't want to talk about it!" She said, only to let out another hiccup.

"Penny, if you can just tell me what's wrong I can help you!" She said.

"No! No, you wouldn't understand!" She said.

"Let me try! You can trust me!" Ruby said.

"You're my friend right! You promise you're my friend?!" She asked.

"I promise!" She said.

"Ruby-" Penny began as she opened her palms to reveal metal.

"I'm not a real girl." Penny admitted.

"Oh." She said.

.

"Well?" Penny asked.

"Penny, I-I don't understand." Ruby asked, clearly confused.

"Most girls are born, Ruby. I wasn't... I was made. I'm the world's first synthetic person who is capable of generating an aura." She said.

"What?" She asked.

"I'm what you call humans call an android." Penny said.

"Oh! That makes sense." Ruby said.

"Yeah... I'm not a real human, aren't I?" She asked.

"Of course you are!" She said as she grabbed Penny by the shoulders.

"What?" She asked.

"You think that just because you have nuts and bolts instead of squishy guts makes you any less real than me?" Ruby asked.

"You're taking this extraordinarily well." Penny realized.

"You're not like those things we saw back there. You've got a heart, and a soul I can feel it." Ruby said.

"Oh! Ruby! You're the best friend anyone could have!" Penny yelled as she brought Ruby into a literal bone-crushing hug.

"I can see why your father would protect such a delicate flower" Ruby said as Penny brought her out of the bone-crushing hug

"Wait...then does that mean-" Ruby tried to say

Penny cut her off "My best friend J, is an android as well!. However...he does go by Jet now"

"Oh, where is he?" Ruby asked

"He undergoing repairs in one of Atlas' ships!" Penny said "But you should meet the father, he's a really nice man. He's the one who built me"

"Really?" Ruby asked

"Well...he had some help from Mr. Ironwood" Penny said

"You mean the general?" Ruby asked "Wait...is that why those guys were chasing you?"

"They like to protect me too." Penny said.

"They don't think you can protect yourself?" Ruby asked with a smirk.

"Their not sure if I'm ready yet." She said.

"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.

"One day, it will be my, and Jet's job to save the world. But I still have a lot left to learn. That's why my father let me come to the Vytal Festival. I want to see what the rest of the world is like and test myself in the tournament." Penny said.

"What are you talking about? Save the world from what? We're in a time of peace!" Ruby exclaimed

"That's not what Mr. Ironwood said..." Penny said.

"Wait...are you talking about th-" Ruby tried to say

Though before Ruby could finish, they were cut off by the sound of the soldiers coming their way. "She's over here!" They heard them say.

"You have to hide!" Penny said as she picked Ruby up.

"What are you-! Penny wait! You don't have to go with them I can help you!" Ruby said as Penny threw her in a dumpster.

"It's okay Ruby, they're not bad people. I just don't want you to get in trouble." Penny said.

"Just promise me you won't tell anyone about my secret!" She said.

"Okay, I promise." Ruby said.

"Good, other wise I would have to eliminate you." Penny said.

"W-what?!" Ruby asked.

"That was a joke, according to Jeffery, playing with people's emotions and mind qualifies as comedy." Penny giggled.

"Yeah that does sound like Jeffery." Ruby grumbled as she hid in the dumpster.

"There you are!" Ruby heard one of the officers say.

"Salutations, officer!" Penny said.

"Why were you running? What happened to the other girl?!" They asked.

"What other girl? I've been by myself this whole time!" Penny said, hiccuping once.

"You shouldn't cause such a scene." The officer said.

"Are you okay?" The other one asked.

"Just a scratch." She said, showing her scratched palms.

"Penny, your father isn't going to be happy about this." The officer said.

"Please, just come with us." The other one said.

Ruby was about to climb out of the dumpster, only for the sight of a rat to startle her.

"Gah!" She yelled.

City of Vale (3rd Person POV)

"Can I take off the blindfold now?" Chris asked

Currently, Team CJA_ was currently sitting in the middle of traffic. Jeffery was currently sitting in the drivers seat, Alice was riding shotgun, while Chris was sitting in the back

"Not yet" Jeffery said

"You sad that it would take us ten minutes...it's been thirty!" Chris said

"Well, unless you want to yell at traffic to somehow go faster...go for it" Jeffery said

"Wait...how are you driving...if you don't have a license?" Chris asked

.

"Uh...The...wonderful wizard of Oz...gave me one..." Jeffery said

"Wizard of Oz?" Alice asked

"It's an old story I used to read as a kid" Jeffery said, as the traffic light suddenly turned green "FINALLY!" He said as he pressed his foot on the gas pedal and drove towards Southern Vale, turned the corner and parked the car "And the Lord said, let their be light!" He said as he took the blindfold off of Chris

As he opened his eyes, he shook his head as he adjusted to the sudden light. As he got out, he turned around to see two men in black uniforms with red ties and glasses, and above them was a sign that read "JUNIOR'S BAR"

"Uh, Jeffery why are we at a bar?" Alice asked

"We're too young to drink" Chris added

"Oh, it's because I work here" Jeffery said

"Wait...you work here!?" Alice asked in surprise

"Yeah" Jeffery said

.

.

.

"When!? And you're seventeen! So how did you get a job!?" Chris slightly shouted "And at a bar of all places!"

"Junior had problems with his equipment, and maintenance was taking a long time to get here. So I stepped up to the plate, and I fixed his whole system in under an hour" Jeffery said "When I was done, he offered me a job here for maintenance and as you can tell, I accepted"

"Oh...then...how long have you been working here?" Chris asked

"About a week now" Jeffery said "And I'm allowed to bring in as many people as I want...as long as they don't make a mess...like the last one"

"Who's the last one?" Alice asked

Jeffery shrugged "I don't know"

Chris chuckled "I think I know who" He said as all three of them began to walk towards the entrance, only to be stopped by the two guards

"Aren't you...too young to be here?"

"Uh-" Chris tried to say

Jeffery cut him off "Bob, Jeffery, they're with me"

"O-Oh! S-Sorry maintenance guy!" The newly named Bob said as the two stepped backwards and opened the door

"And for God sake! I have a name!" Jeffery shouted as all three of them walked into the bar. As they got in, the dance floor was almost filled with people and Junior was currently at hims bar cleaning glasses and stocking up on alcohol and other drinks

As Jeffery was looking for a place to sit, he saw someone out of the ordinary on-top of the stage. He wore out of the ordinary pink, funky-like clothing and. He was confused as he never saw him here before, until he realized what today was "Oh, it's karaoke night!" Jeffery said "I almost forgot! Anyone can walk up on the stage and perform"

Alice turned to Chris "Hey Chris, why don't you do it?"

"Excuse me?" Chris asked, confused

"Hey, that's a good idea" Jeffery said "Hey Chris, can you sing a few songs?"

Chris eyes widened, knowing what both of them meant "Oh no, no, no, no, no!" Chris said "I get nervous when singing in public"

"But you sung in the library" Alice said

"That's because I thought that I was alone" Chris said "Besides...I don't know any of the songs here"

"Then why don't you sing one of our songs, back at home" Jeffery said

"Um...what the hell? It's all a bit of fun, right?" Chris asked

"That's what I like to hear" Jeffery said as he pointed towards a small stand "You can plug in your phone over there to the DJ's system"

Chris nodded as he gotup and began to walk towards the small stand

(Timeskip) Alleyway/Junior's Club (3rd Person POV)

The streets of Vale were silent...that is until the silence disappeared, being replaced with the roar of an engine. Just outside of the club, Yang and Neptune had just pulled up outside Junior's Club, parking Bumblebee to the side

Yang took her helmet off as she waved her hair "Come on, my friend's right in here" Yang said, gesturing with her thumb.

She soon got off her bike, leaving a scared Neptune in it's place, his hair and goggles messed up "Cool..." He then shook his head and got off of the bike "And where exactly is...here?" He said, as they could hear the faintly hear the voice of someone singing inside the club

"A club" Yang said

"Really?' Neptune asked "Because I don't think I ever heard a song like that before?"

But as Yang was about to respond, she noticed a black sports car at the side, causing her to smile, remembering who it belonged to "At least we'll see some friendly faces in here"

"Wait...what?" Neptune asked

Junior's Club (3rd Person POV)

With the last of the lyrics, everybody in the club roared in applause clapping and cheering. Chris too a bow and smiled "Thank you, thank you very much"

"Elvis...seriously?" Jeffery asked

"A little culture wouldn't kill anyone" Chris said "Anyways...how did I do?"

"Good as always" Jeffery said

"I thought it was gret!" ALice said

Chris chuckled "Well, thank you Alice"

Suddenly, two of Junior's Club men rushed into the club and started shouting as loud as he could "Close the door she's coming!"

"Okay...now I remember..." Chris muttered

"What are you two idiots doing!?" Junior asked

As the grunts attempted to explain, the doors suddenly blasted open, revealing Yang at the door "Guess who's back!" She said, as the grunts held guns to her face

Jeffery leaned over to Chris "Uh...they're holding guns at her...and is she the one who..."

"I know" Chris said "And yes"

As Yang smirked, it soon turned into a semi-angry glare, scaring the DJ into turning off the music

"And she now scared the DJ" Jeffery said

Neptune pops up from behind Yang "Yeah, so could you define "friend for me?"

But before the grunts could do anything, they were stopped by their boss "Stop, stop! Nobody shoot! He said as he made his way towards the door "Blondie, you're here...why?"

"You still owe me a drink" Yang said as she dragged Junior over to the bar and pushed him behind it

"Whoa...what a woman" Neptune said, as he turned towards the twins "Sup"

"Hmph. Whatever" Both said in unison, before walking away, leaving a disappointed Neptune

As Junior kept an eye on his..."guest", Yang and Chris exchanged glance for a moment

"Hey, Yang" Chris said

"How ya doing?" She asked

"Not too bad. How about you?" Chris asked

"Oh, you know, questioning people of the underground of Vale to get information about a crime boss. You know, the usual" Yang said

"Do you...need some help?" Chris asked

"Hmm...sure. I could use the extra company" Yang said "Y'know, besides..." She trailed off, pointing towards Neptune who was still flirting with the twins

"Wow...that's kinda sad" Jeffery said

(Timeskip) Junior's Club (3rd Person POV)

Yang and Neptune were still questioning Junior, as for Chris he was just watching the whole thing unfold, only interfering when he needed too. Jeffery and Alice were sitting close by, just incase anything went wrong

Junior slammed a glass on the table "I don't know"

"How could you not know?" Yang asked

"I haven't talked to him! I haven't even seen him since the night you first came in here" Junior said "He paid up front, I lent him my men, and non of them ever. Came. Back!"

Neptune zoomed up to the counter "SO where did they go?"

"...Have you been paying attention...at all?" Chris questioned

"Yeah! Who is this guy?" Junior asked

Yang pushed Neptune out of the way, leaving him to straighten himself out "Don't worry out him; worry about me if I don't find out what I want!"

The tension between the two was about to burst. Chris sighed as he stood up and walked over "Whoa, whoa, who! Hold on a minute. Take in a deep breath and calm down. Yang you don't always have to...pummel someone to get what you need. Let me handle this...'kay? And this is coming from me!"

Yang took in a deep breath, then sighed "Okay then, if you think you can do better"

"Great!" Chris said "Besides, I always wanted to play detective"

Yang and Neptune walked off, joining up with Alice and Jeffery, leaving Chris to interrogate Junior.

"So...how are you doing?" Alice asked

"Good" Yang said

"Hello, beautiful" Neptune said, trying to get with Alice

"She's taken" Jeffery said, causing Neptune to slam his head on the table

"Two times...in one night" Neptune murmured

(Meanwhile) Juniors Club (3rd Person POV)

As Yang left, Chris pulled up a char and sat in front of Junior "Hello, Junior. I don't think we've met. My name s Chris, and you may know my friend, Jeffery"

"Who? Oh wait...yeah, the tech kid right? Bit of a brat, but he does one helluva job" Junior said

"THIS BRAT SAVED YOUR ASS!" Jeffery yelled from afar

"Yeah...Anyways, I just want to ask a few questions" Chris said

Junior scoffed "You think playing the good cop is somehow going to get you more information!? I've already told your friend over there everything!"

"I'm not talking about that" Chris said "I just want to know about before and druing"

Junior closed his eyes and pondered his thoughts before sighing "Alright, I'll play along for now. What do you want to know?"

"Before Roman showed up, what happened here?" Chris asked

"Not couldn't have been better. Every seat was filled, people were dancing and drinking, and he whole dance floor was full of people" Junior said

"Okay, then what did Roman do when he came in?" Chris asked

"He didn't say much when he arrived. He walked into by my bar, lit a cigar, bought a drink and we started to talk" Junior said

"What did you talk about?" Chris asked, in faked arrogance

"He wished to hire some of my men. I asked for the money, cash on delivery. But then he told me that he would give "cash upon liking". I suppose he wasn't happy with them, which is something I can relate to!" Junior said, earning multiple murmurs from his men

"Did he exactly tell you what his intentions were?" Chris asked

"No, all he did was place his order and told me where to send them" Junior said

('If this Juniors is the...king of this place, he must have some sort of record for his subjects Ask him about that')

'Good idea' Chris said, mentally "Do you have any records or receipts of that order?"

"What!? Do I look like that I keep a log book!?" He said as his eyes were then fixed on something on the bar for a few seconds.

Chris turned to see where his eyes were pointing and noticed a large, black book. But before he could slide it away, Chris swiped it, opened it up and examined the papers inside

It was full of times, names, locations, even payments.

"No offence, but you definitely need a new hobby" Chris suggested "But it looks like you make a living with this kind of work"

"Is helping people out a crime, even if there's a little money involved?" Junior asked "Besides, business has been bombing with these monsters popping up"

"Not really" Chris said "But that does depend on who you're helping" He said, continuing to read the log book. He suddenly felt a small pull of air, along wth something soft on his back. He turned around over his should to see Yang was looking over him...and was uncomfortably close, clearly being interested of what was in his hand

Chris sighed "Do you have any concept of personal space?"

"Nope" Yang said

Chris sighed as he shook his head playfully, eventually coming to the page that housed Torchwick's order

"Ah here it is! March the sixteenth, about seventeen men hired and cash upon liking" Chris said, then noticed a small address that read "Lower Glenn", along with another name...Jason. But what was more interesting was tat only one of his men came back

"Hey, did you say that none of you mean came back?" Chris asked

"Yeah, what of it?' Junior asked

"Well...according to this, it says that only one of them came back" Chris said, earning a pale look from Junior

Yang leaned in forwards, her eyes starting to change colour "Is that a lie I detect?"

"Oh-uh-Of course! An error on my part" Junior stumbled

YAng leaned even closer, grabbing his red tie "You know I hate when you lie"

As Junior tried to process his words, Chris gently guided Yang back down to her seat with his arm "Junior, you're not in trouble because Torchwick hired them, therefore he will held responsible for all of you men's actions. However, deliberately obstructing an investigation is. So you can talk to me...or...my temperamental partner here" He said, his aura slightly spiking, slightly startling Junior

Both Junior and Chris stared at one another, not breaking eye contact with one another as sweat continued to pour from his forehead from both Yang and Chris's aura "O-O-OKAY! OKAY! I ADMIT! One of them did come back, but left the very next day. Said he didn't want to do with anything with this place anymore. Last I heard, he took a train to Mistral and I haven't seen or herd from him since!"

"Wow, for a man with such power, you break very easily" Chris said "And for my last question, where is this...Lower Glenn?"

Junior sighed "It's in the far-east, of Vale...right next to Mountain Glenn"

Chris sighed "I should've known by the name...Thank you for your cooperation" Chris said "Let's go guys, we're done here" He said as everyone got up and walked towards the exit

"Chris, now's your chance" Jeffery said

"Uh...what chance?" Chris asked

Jeffery gave him a deadpanned expression, causing Chris to remember

"Yeah...no thank you...I...might actually die" Chris said

"Do it, or I'll do for you" Jeffery said

Chris sighed as he walked towards Yang who was currently getting her helmet on

"Hey, Yang" Chris said, catching her attention

"Yes?" She asked

"Well, I was wondering...if I can ask a favour of you...for...helping you out?" Chris said

"Awww, are you asking little old me on a date~" Yang said in a playful tone

"What!? No! Wait-no! -I'm-not-saying-that-because-you're-ugly-which-you're-not-I-mean-you-are-very-beautiful...ARGH! You know what I mean!" Chris stumbled

Yang chuckled "Calm down, I know what you mean, big guy"

"Big guy?" Neptune questioned "But isn't he smaller than you?"

"Anyways!" Yang said, ignoring Neptune's question "What kind of favour did you want?"

"Well, I was wondering...if you are able to...teach me...hand-to-hand...combat?" Chris asked nervously

Yang cocked an eyebrow "Sure, but why?"

"Well...my combat grades aren't exactly-" He tried to say

Yang cut him off "I know, we saw"

"Not only that, when were...fighting monsters, we can't use our weapons. So I thought it would be a good idea...if I learned how to...punch stuff like you do" Chris tried to say "And...that came out wrong"

Yang chuckled once more "Sure thing. How does tomorrow sound?"

"That's sounds good" Chris said

"Good. Because I won't be going easy on you!" Yang said "Seriously...you may end up in a cast"

'And now I'm scared for my life...' Chris thought

Northern Vale (3rd Person POV)

"So are we close?" He asked.

"Yeah, I remember this place when I had to do recruiting." Blake said.

"And you're SURE that this is the right place?" Sun asked.

"You know what? I'm just gonna take your word for it." He said.

Blake nodded and handed Sun a mask, all while taking off her bow.

"I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right then why hide who you are?" Sun asked.

"The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters." Blake said.

"Grimm masks. That's kinda dark." Sun said.

"So was the guy who started it." She snarled, walking off.

"Always sunshine and rainbows with you." He said as he put on the mask.

They proceeded to make their way through the crowd after they managed to get in.

"Thank you all for coming!" The White Fang member said.

"For those of you who are joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours." He said.

"I can assure you, he is the key to obtaining what we have fought for, for so long." The White Fang member said as Roman Torchwick walked onto the stage.

Everyone started to yell and scream at this unusual and slightly hypocritical ally.

"Thank you, thank you! Please, hold your applause." Roman said.

"What's a human doing here?" A girl from within the crowd asked.

"I'm glad you asked, Deerie!" Roman said.

"Now I'll be the first to admit, humans are the WORST." He said.

"Case in point. So I understand why you would love to see us all locked away, or better yet: killed!" Roman said.

"So is he going somewhere with this or... ?" Sun asked.

"You and I all have a common enemy. The ones in control, the people pulling the strings, the dirty rotten humans that run our kingdoms." He said.

"Government. Military. Even the schools, they're all to blame for your lot in life!" Roman said.

"And they're all pests that need to be dealt with." He said.

"Fortunately for you, I'm the best exterminator there is. No offense to any rodents in the room." Roman said as the curtain was pulled, and a giant robot was revealed.

"Uh, that's a big robot." Sun said.

"How did he get it?" Blake asked.

"Now as some of you may have heard, this right here is Atlas' newest line of defense against the scary things in the world." Roman said. "And thanks to my employer, we've managed to snag a few before they, uh, hit the shelves." He said "Now, I know that this is not as impressive as Mechagodzilla, it still packs a lot of , many of your brothers have already moved down to our new operation in the south eastIf you'd rather stay within the city, that's fine. But if you're truly ready to fight for what you believe in, this is the arsenal I can provide you." He said. "Any questions?"

"We should get out of here." Blake said.

"Will all new recruits please come forward!" They heard someone say.

"Welp!" Sun said as everyone moved past them.

"What are we going to do?" He asked.

"I'm thinking." Blake said.

Roman quickly glanced over to his right and glared at the duo.

"He sees us!" Sun said.

Blake's eyes eventually laid on the power box behind him.

"He can't see in the dark." She said as she pulled out Gamble Shroud and shot the power box, causing the lights to go out.

"Don't let them get away! Urgh!" Roman grunted as me made his way inside of the Paladin.

"Sun! The window!" Blake called.

"Stop 'em!" Roman yelled.

Blake and Sun ran outside of the window and onto the streets, the Paladin tailing them.

They jumped onto a series of buildings in attempts to lose the massive machine, though from the looks of it, they were having no such luck.

"So you wouldn't happen to have, oh I don't know, some form of backup?" Sun asked.

"On it!" Blake said as she pulled her scroll.

Juniors Club (3rd Person POV)

Yang felt her scroll rumble as she took it out, revealing Blake's number.

"Everyone! If you can hear me we need back up!" Blake said.

"They got a robot, and it's big, really big!" Sun panicked. "That Torchwick guy is in it! But not, like, it didn't eat him; he's controlling it or something!"

"Where are you guys?" Yang asked

"HURRY!" Sun yelled, as if on cue, Blake and Sun ran past the alley way where Yang, Neptune along with Team CJA_ were...and were being chased by a giant robot

"Uh, I think that was them" Neptune said

"Yeah, I got it" yang said, as her motorcycles engined roared "You guys coming?

"Nope" Chris said "We'll check that address Junior mentioned. You two go on ahead"

"Are you sure? We could use some help"

"Yang, if you can punch a four-hundred foot war-machine with ease, then you should have no problem with this" Chris said

Yang nodded as she circled her bike around, much to Neptune's dismay and drove away to catch up to Blake and Sun

"Speaking of..." Chris trailed off as he turned towards Jeffery "How did she punch a four-hundred foot mech with ease?"

"Uh..." Jeffery stumbled

"Jeffery! I need you to slap me!" Yang yelled

"Wait...what!?" Jeffery shouted

"Just do it!" Yang shouted, her eyes turning red

"O-OKAY!" Jeffery shouted as she suddenly slapped Yang across the face

"HARDER!" Yang shouted

Jeffery slapped her with more force

"HARDER!" Yang shouted

Jeffery slapped her with even more force

"I SAID HARDER!" Yang shouted

"I NEED AN ADULT!" Jeffery shouted

(Present Day) Juniors Club (3rd Person POV)

"Uh..." Jeffery said, trying to find the right words

"You know what, never-mind" Chris said "For now, let's get to the address"

Lower Glenn (3rd Person POV)

Lower Glenn was also apart of the expansion of Mountain Glenn. However, instead the town was far from Mountain Glenn itself, meaning the small town was unaffected by the wrath of the Grimm that turned the once city into a ghost town. However, to this day...Lower Glenn was left abandoened for unknown reasons.

And the citizens were never found...not even their remains were even found...almost as if they disappeared off of the face of Remnant. There were multiple theories about this, maybe they were consumed by some sort of underground Grimm? Were they abducted by aliens...or did something else more terrifying happen?

The sound of an engine roared interrupted the silence of the abandoned city, scaring off any nearby wildlife. As the car stopped, a smiling Jeffery hopped out of his car...as Alice and Chris were still holding on for dear life

"That...is going to be...the last time...you're ever gonna drive!" Chris said, slightly shaken "You broke...over thirty speed limits!"

Jeffery tuned towards him "Come on, you know that we had to get here as soon as you can"

"That doesn't make it better..." Chris said "I'm just surprised you didn't get five stared by now" He said as he turned towards Alice 'Are you good? Or do you need some time to..."

"No...I'm good..." Alice said, straightening herself out

Team CJA_ began to take their surroundingS. Most of the buildings were already destroyed, some were crushed, as others had traces of scorch marks on the walls

"What happened here?" Jeffery asked "Do you think they abandoned this place?"

Chris shook his head "Considering where we are...probably" He turned to his teammates "I know we are nowhere near Mountain Glenn, but we should stay quiet...just in case we want to attract some...unwanted attention"

"Like what?" Alice asked "Grimm?"

"Yes...and Skullcralwers" Chris said as he looked around the small, ruined town. After a few minutes of searching, they came across a ruined building. But what stood out was that this one was one of the only buildings that wasn't damaged

It was a nearly, two-story building with most of the windows broken, and it's walls were nearly covered in scorch marks

"I...think I'm just gonna stay out here" Chris said

"Uh...why?" Jeffery asked

"Uh...just incase a sleep demon with a gloved claw pops out, grabs and pulls us into his haunted house" Chris said

"Don't say scary stuff like that!" Alice said

Jeffery sighed "That only happens in movies"

"Yet you told me to stand still when Zilla hatched for the first time" Chris said

"Touché" Jeffery said

"So...how do we get in?" Chris asked

"Like this" Jeffery said as his fist ignited with plasma. But before he was able to strike the door down, Chris stopped him

"Wait! This place could be booby trapped!" Chris warned "Maybe we should try going in through one of the windows"

Jeffery and Alice nodded as all three of them approached the window "I'll go in first" Chis said as he squeezed his way through. As he made his way insides, he crouched down, making sure to make less noise...just to be sure that there was no one else inside

He began to look through every room, but nothing stood out, just a worn bed along with other worn furniture. However, he came across one room with a giant framed picture on the wall. But what stood out the most was that there was a draft in the room

Chris approached the painting "Please be a secret door. Please be a secret door" He muttered. he then moved the painting out of the way, revealing a large hole in the wall "Yay!" He cheered

He then crawled into the small hole, crawling even deeper underground...that is until he approached a pair of steel doors on the other end of the tunnel.

"Probably should've gotten our weapons" Chris muttered, as he pulled out his scroll and called Jeffery

"Did you find something?" Jeffery asked

"I did" Chris said "But...can you call our weapons over?" He said as he walked towards the steel doors "Meet me in the last room by your right, and crawl through the tunnel" Chris said as he ended the call

City of Vale (3rd Person POV)

Blake and Sun jump onto a busy road, and began jumping across the cars like lily pads, causing the people inside them to honk in annoyance. Unfortunately, Roman who was piloting the mech also jumps onto the road and quickly started chasing after the two, flinging cars into the air as he swatted them out of the way with each stomp

Yang and Neptune arrive on Bumblebee with the intent to slow the mech down

"We have got to slow it down" Yang said

"Got it" Neptune yelled, as he was pulling out his weapon

But before Neptune could pull it out, Roman is alerted to their presence by an alarm. He used the mech's arm to smack cars up in the air, heading straight towards the two

"Hold on!" Yang yelled, as she

"Uh-oh..WHOA!" Neptune yelled as Yang began to increase Bumblebee's speed, managing to evade the falling cars left and right

Using that opportunity, Neptune unfolds his gun into a rifle, firing electric dust bullets into the mech's back, then unfolds the weapon into a trident. He then jumps off of Yang's bike, much to his relief, and stab's the mech in the cockpit area

Roman then attempts to shake the hunter off. Neptune's grip was lessoning with every shake.

As Blake and Sun landed on-top of the roofs of nearby vehicles, Sun turned to help his fried who was still hanging for dear life "Neptune, hang on!" Sun yelled as he used his semblance to summon two golden clones of himself. The clones then leap across the cars, where upon reaching the mech, the exploded, not doing much damage to even halt it

Sun jumps off of a truck and pulls out his staff, leaping across the mech, as Neptune is suddenly thrown off with his weapon. The two members of Team SSSN collide mid-air as both of them were thrown off of the runway, disappearing from sight

As Blake looked at wherever Sun and Neptune were, she turned her attention towards her scroll "Blake! I'm in position!" A voice yelled

Right in front of them, Weiss jumps down from another raised motorway. As she landed, she drove her Myrtenaster into the ground, covering the road in a layer of ice. As the Paladin got closer, it suddenly slips and falls off of the motorway

The Paladin then flips mid-air, causing it to land back on ts feet. Below, Ruby was waiting, only for her team to show up soon after As the mech made its ways towards the Huntresses-in-training

"Freezerburn!" Ruby shouted as she and Blake used their weapons to propel themselves backwards

Weiss drives Myrtenaster into the ground once more, creating another circle of ice onto the ground. Yang uses her Ember Celica to propel herself up in the air, suddenly propelling herself back down onto the ice, creating a mist that surrounded the area

Annoyed, Roman activates te mech's laser targeting system, in an effort to locate the Huntresses. As Roman, scoured the area, he began to fire his cannons left and right at the slightest movement the mist made, eventually almost hitting Yang and Blake

Using that distraction, Ruby uses Crescent Rose to propel herself towards the Paladin, hitting the mech with her blade

Ruby reloads her weapon "Checkmate!" Ruby yelled, sending Weiss and Blake forward towards the mech, attacking it's legs with a barrage of slashes. Roman had had enough and tried to crush Blake with the mechs foot. In response, he began to fire a series of rockets from the Paladins shoulders, but Blake and Weiss had successfully dodge the oncoming attack

However, Roman fires the mech's main arm cannons after Weiss and sends her backwards. As she falls, Weiss uses Myrtenaster to fire yellow energy toward Blake, a mixture of yellow Dust and her Semblance creating a haste glyph beneath the Faunus. As Roman fires missiles at her, Blake glows yellow and rapidly swings Gambol Shroud through the air, creating countless purple strikes with her swings that slice the incoming missiles in half.

With the rockets destroyed, Ruby reenters the battle "Ladybug!" She called out, as she used Cresecent Rose to off the mech to send herself behind it. Blake began to do the same, passing through the mech at it's legs with a series of slashes from both of their weapons

Roman tries to shoot Ruby, but she jumps upwards and dodges the shot. She and Blake strike down, slicing off the mech's left arm.

Roman growled "This is getting annoying! He shouted, he then looked towards his scroll, he quickly grabbed it but hesitated . Should he call him? He hated his guts, but he knew that if he doesn't do something, he going to get a lot more than just a slap on the wrist from his boss

Roman sighed as he sent an emergency to his contact as he then refocused his attention back towards the fight

Yang then jumps onto the mech and punches it repeatedly on the back, but Roman quickly launches it backwards, slamming her through two pillars and into a third. As she falls, the mech's right arm shifts to form a fist and punches her through the weakened second pillar.

'Hmm...guess I didn't need to call him after all" Roman thought

"Yang!" Blake yelled with concern

"Don't worry!" Ruby said "With each hit she gets stronger, and she uses that energy to fight back! That's what makes her special"

"You mean...that's the reason why she wanted Jeffery t-" Blake tried to say

Ruby cut her off "Yes"

Roman attempts to punch Yang again as she slowly gets to her feet, but she catches it, creating a shock wave that broke the ground. As her eyes changed to a blood red colour and hair glowing brightly, Yang punches the mech's fist, shattering its arm in one blow

Roman responds by kicking Yang away, past Ruby and Blake

"Bumblebee!" Ruby called, as Blake threw Gambol Shroud to Yang in its chain-sickle form and then forcefully yank back on the ribbon, righting Yang to her feet. This enables Yang to orbit around Blake, using her as a pivot, and she speeds up by firing backwards with Ember Celica. With another pull from Blake, Yang lifts off the ground and swings towards the mech at high speed, but it leaps backwards, avoiding her strike.

"We have to slow it down!" Ruby shouted

'And how do you propose we do that?" Weiss asked

"Ice Flower!' Ruby cried out As Ruby sets Crescent Rose parallel with the ground and Weiss charges her Semblance, a white flare edged with dark blue streaming through the air with Myrtenaster. Weiss creates three white glyphs in front of Crescent Rose's barrel

Ruby fires a bullet incased in ice Dust, producing a large amout of ice that froze the mech into place . Blake helps Yang swing around again, and Yang fires a shot, once again lifting off. A trail of gold light following her hair, Yang speeds toward the mech and punches the cockpit, visibly deforming the metal and sending the mech crashing to the ground. When it hits the ground, the mech shatters into pieces with Roman somehow still unscathed

"Just got this thing cleaned!" Roman muttered

Yang prepared to fire another shot towards Roman, only for another figure to jump down, using an umbrella to block the oncoming attack

The figure was a girl with her hair a half pink resmebling strawberry and half brown which resembled chocolate, with white streaks on the pink side. Her left eye is a brown colour while her right eye is a pink colojur

She wore a white cropped wide, broad tailed jacket with a pink interior, collar, a single gold button and large pink cuffs. She wears brown pants with a dark belt that has a gray buckle and an additional narrow belt under it. Under her jacket is a brown corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wears a multitude of black beaded necklaces, which hang haphazardly around her neck. She also wears black and white spat styled under the knee boots alongside black gloves.

This was Neopolitan

"Really, Roman?" A voice said in disappointment

Team RWBY shot their heads towards the source of the voice, revealing a man.

He wore a dark green jacket, with small traces of yellow in the zippers. He sports a gun-metal colour mask with red slits fro eyes, and wielded two dual hook swords

"This is what you needed help with? A bunch of kids!" He shouted

"These kids look a lot tougher than they look!" Roman defended

Jason sighed as he jumped down, making a small crater in the ground below "So you must these the brats Roman was talking about" He said as he looked towards the now-shattered Atleisan Paladin "Wow, they did that!?" He said as he turned towards RWBY "Call me impressed"

Yang bashed her knuckles together "And you are...?"

"Let's just say...I'm a business man" Jason said "One that really hates when people interfere in my business" He turns towards Roman "Get out of here"

Roman nodded "Ladies. Ice Queen"

"Hey!" Weiss shouted

"Neo, if you would" Roman said

Neo took a bow as Yang suddenly lunged towards the two criminals. But as she made contact...they instantly shattered. Almost as if they were made out of glass

Team RWBY looked towards the skies as they saw Neo and Roman in a Bullhead as they took off towards the night sky

"Well...with that out of the way" He said as he start to twirl his swords, unsheathing them "Who wants to go first?"

Yang smirked as she used her Ember Celica to propel herself towards Jason, who then used his hook swords to block the oncoming attack. But to her surprise as her attack landed, Jason actually managed to hold his own, despite her power-up

Jason smirked under his mask as he pushed forwards, pushing Yang back, surprising her even more. Yang quickly shook out of her daze as he brought one of her fists down towards his gut, making him bend over as she punched him in the face, sending him flying

'How is he that strong!?' Yang mentally screamed

"Yang! Are you alright?" Ruby shouted as she ran towards her sister, along with the rest of her team

"Y-Yeah" Yang stumbled "Be careful, whoever this guy is, he's crazy strong"

"How so?" Weiss asked

"He held back one of my punches" Yang responded

Jason got off of the ground, shaking his head as dust flew off of his head from the impact. He stared down towards the team of huntresses. He knew that he was outnumbered, but he didn't care. Jason suddenly tucked his swords back, as he did...he started to channel some sort of red energy from his blades

His blade began to spark red electricity all the way to it's hilt. Blake's eyes widened after realizing what he was about to do "EVERYONE! TAKE COVER!" She warned, as he fired a giant slash projectile, pulsating with crimson energy towards the group of Huntresses

RWBY each jumped towards different directions, each trying to get out of it way. It barely missed Blake as it continued towards the remains of the Atlesian Paladin where it exploded on impact, leaving nothing behind

Team RWBY did managed to take it down together. But him...he destroyed whatever remained of it in just one attack. The girls eyes widened in horror towards the figure. He managed to block Yang's strongest attack while also holding his own, and managed to incinerate whatever remained of the mech almost as if it was made of paper

'Well...she did say to make as much chaos as possible...just enough to provoke him' Jason thought to himself

Jason laughed "Seeing those looks on your faces...it makes me want to..." He trailed off as his eyes began to ignite with a red colour until traces of it started to trail from his eyes "KEEP PLAYING WITH YOU UNTIL YOU BREAK!" He shouted as the green embers then blazed into emerald flames...as he suddenly began to grow

The first to form were giant, scythe like claws began to form in the place of his hands. His face suddenly started to crack and grow, forming a small beak laced with razor sharp teeth

Next, a pair of three large fins erupted from his back, along with a long, green/golden tail. As the emerald flames diminished, Jason was gone, and in his place was the monster "Gigan"

"SKREUURNT!"

With just a sudden slash of its tail, he smashed the pillars supporting the bridges above them. The bridges suddenly began to crack under the combined weight of the cars, until the bridged suddenly caved in, as cars suddenly started to fall through, sending multiple civilians falling

Team RWBY could only stared wide-eyed at the sudden appearance of the monster. Jason/Gigan then turned it's attention towards the Huntresses-in-training as his eyes started to glow red

Yang's eyes widened as she immediately recognized on what he was about to do "MOVE!" She shouted

But before Jason/Gigan was able to fire it's attack, Weiss drove her sword into the ground, forming glyphs under her teamates as she suddenly flung them towards the opposite sides of the area.

A Jason/Gigan fired it's attack, it ignited the area in crimson light as it began to incinerate the area in-front of it. It suddenly shipped it's head towards the fleeing civilians. It's eyes began to glow once more as it fired it's laser once more, reducing the once panicked street, into nothing but ash

Lower Glenn (3rd Person POV)

After a few minutes, Jeffery and Alice met up with Chris by the end of the tunnel. Jeffery punched the door down off of it's hinged as Team CJA_ walked inside the room, revealing a small room with various files, tools and even weapons which mostly consisted of swords

"I guess we found top-hat's hideout" Jeffery said

"Nah, Torchwick isn't a sword kind of guy" Chris said "This is someone else"

"What are these?" Alice asked, pointing at a pile of files on a worn-down table

"They look like documents...dating back...almost eighteen years" Chris said, picking up one of the folders titled "Lucky Dragon" and opened it. The folder contained various photographs of coordinates, dates, times, but what stood out the most, was the photo of a giant mushroom cloud "Jesus..." Chris said

Jeffery and Alice walked over to Chris, their eyes widened at the sight of the photograph

"What...is it?" Alice asked nervously

"It's...some sort of bomb" Jeffery said

"No...it's something much worse" Chris said

"What can be worse than a fucking bomb!?" Jeffery slightly shouted

"Well..." Chris trailed off "If the records are accurate. Lucky Dragon is a highly-reactive bomb...but...with some sort of unknown chemical compound. It was supposed to kill all living things within a two-mile radius. And it did it's job"

"Well...that's good...I mean I-" Alice tried to say

Chris cut him off "But, Atlas underestimated the true power of Lucky Dragon"

"Wait...it's true power!?" Jeffery asked in surprise

Chris nodded "Yeah, they got the results they wanted...but they didn't take the aftermath into consideration until it was too late"

"Until what was too late?" Jeffery asked

Chris turned the page in the document "Shortly after the detonation, the chemical compound that was in the bomb began to spread across South-Eastern Sanus like a plague within a five-mile radius...way beyond Mountain Glenn"

"Wait...why did they choose Mountain Glenn of all places?" Jeffery asked

"Mountain Glenn was abandoned years ago, being overrun by the Grimm" Chris said "So it would be the perfect testing site for something like this. Villages like the one were standing in were unaffected...that is...until this Lucky Dragon happened"

"Wait, this chemical, can you identify what it is?" Jeffery asked

Chris began to read the page from top to bottom before flipping that page. After a few minutes of reading, he sighed in defeat and sorrow. Not that he couldn't find it, but what the compound did. His eyes widened as the next page showed various photos, some of which would scar any person for life

"It not listed here..." Chris trailed off "But it does describe what the compound did"

"What...did it do?" Alice asked

Chris slammed the file shut "I...think its best that you don't find out what it did" He said as he began to walk off with the file in tow

Jeffery sighed as he suddenly swiped the file from Chris's hands "WAIT! DON'T!" Chris yelled

But it was too late, Jeffery had opened the last page of the file. His eyes widened as he suddenly froze

"J-Jeffery?" Alice asked, as she went to his side "I-Is something w-*gasps*" Alice gasped as she looked over Jeffery's shoulder to see what Chris was trying to warn them about

Inside the files were various photos of the aftermath of the bomb. The first photos showed that of destroyed homes and villages. Tiles were blown off, as some sort of green smoke was pouring from the buildings. But what stood out the most were the mostly liquified remains of Humans and Faunus, some of which were reaching out towards the sky in their final moments, almost as if they were trying to reach for help...only for it to never come

A skeleton of a mother embracing a smaller skeleton on the ground. The skeletal remains of cattle, positioned in a way that almost looked like they were trying to gasp for air. Jeffery began to flip more and more pages, each one more horrifying than the last.

Alice looked like she was about to develop tears. But before Jeffery could flip the final page, Chris immediately snatched the file from Jeffery's hands

Jeffery turned to him with a shocked expression "I-I-Is t-that t-" Jeffery tried to say

Chris cut him off "Yes...what you saw was the aftermath of the bomb. The chemical in the bomb...targets...and destroys oxygen molecules...while also...liquifying most living tissue. An...Oxygen Destroyer"

"W-Why w-would they m-make s-something l-like t-this!?" Alice asked, stumbling in fear

"I...don't know" Chris said "Every living thing...in a five-mile radius...was killed, liquified..."

"No" Jeffery said, catching both of their attention "For some reason...I forced my self to read every single god damn word in that file. One person did survive"

"W-Who?" Chris asked

"Someone named, Jason" Jeffery said, causing Chris to look back into the file "They found him a few days after the bomb. He was severely dehydrated and could barely breathe, it was honestly a miracle that he lived. They kept him in quarantine against his will, running all kinds of tests on him"

"Does it list a last name?" Chris asked "I can't find one in here"

"No" Jeffery said "But...what kind of weapon needs that much power!? Aren't Dust weapons enough?"

everyone stood in silence as they began to pounder those words. Why does Atlas need something as devastating as this, even though they had enough advanced weaponry to take nearly any kind of Grimm down...unless, it wasn't for a Grimm

"Hmm?" Jeffery hummed as he felt a tingle in his pocket, he reached in his pocket and pulled out his scroll "Hey guys, we need to call this quits"

"Why?" Chris asked

"A monster just appeared" Jeffery said "Literally, in the intersection of Vale"

Chris nodded "Alright, grab as many of these files as you can" He said as Team CJA_ began to grab as much as they can and ran towards the exit of the building "I swear, these things are like taxi cabs. You look for one, they're no where to be found. But when you're not looking, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!"

City of Vale (3rd Person POV)

The once busy streets of Vale, filled to the brim with various vehicles. Ranging from trucks making delivery's, cars making their way back home...was now in ruins

The unknown figure that suddenly appeared to confront the Huntresses-in-training, turned into the giant monster Gigan and began to reduce everything around it into a pile of rubble. Cars were crushed as people began to crawl away from the scene.

Normally a car falling from that height would ill someone immediately. If it wasn't for their aura, they would be dead...but others weren't as fortunate

The Huntresses-in-training, were defeated. Ruby and Weiss laid unconscious as Yang started to stirr. Blake on the other hand, was fully awake and was witnessing the carnage that the monster brought

Gigan was brought one of it's massive claws towards another bridges, cutting it in half as it collapsed, cutting another escape route. But before it could fire another attack, a trail of Stone-Dust bullets struck it's head, catching it's attention

Jason/Gigan whipped it's head around, to see Blake, holding her side in pain as she mustered all of her strength just to hold Gambol Shroud

Jason/Gigan turned towards Blake "Ah, you must be this Belladonna I've been hearing so much about throughout the White Fang" he said as he slowly made his way towards the Huntress-in-training, shaking the ground with every step, causing Blake to tremble. He leaned down, until they were at eye level

"But I gotta ask, how's playing the hero working out for you?" He asked as Blake tried to get up, only for Jason/Gigan to slam one of his massive scythe-like claw into the ground, sending her back down to the ground. "Why do you hide your Faunus features, are you ashamed of your own heritage?"

"T-That's not true!" Blake shouted

"Oh really? Then why do you run? You're nothing but a girl who betrayed her old allies just to assuage her own guilt. Did you truly believe what you only had to do, what it took to stop us and your brethern? You set aside the mask of the White Fang...and you stained it when you donned the mask of a huntress" Jason/Gigan said as he gestured around him "Take a look around. Your actions have once again gotten your allies, your friends hurt, along with everyone else in the area. If you only had butted out, everyone up on that bridge would still be alive. Allow me to be very clear, no matter what you do, it will never erase your past sins. No matter what happens, you will always, always be as guilty as we are"

Blake could only stare wide-eyed at the monster's statement. In a way, he was right. All she did was run from her problems, her semblance was a testament to that. Allowing a former shadow of herself to take the hit as she flees

Jason/Gigan laughed "With that on your mind...allow me to put an end to your misery" He said as he brought one of his gigantic claws up.

"LIKE HELL YOU WILL!" A voice shouted

Jason/Gigan turned around, only to met with with a sudden force to his face, knocking him slightly. The sudden force was Yang, her hair was burning lie a wildfire, and her eyes were a bloodshot red. She wasn't just mad, she was pissed

Yang turned back towards her fallen teammate and ran towards her "Are you okay!?" Yang asked with concern, but was left with no response. Blake only stared widened at the ground at what he said "BLAKE! SNAP OUT OF IT!" She yelled, shaking her

Yang was suddenly cut off when Jason/Gian picked his head off of the ground "I must admit...that hurt. Especially for someone your size"

"What the hell did you do to her you bastard!?" Yang asked, her hair glowing even brighter

Jason/Gigan laughed, earning chills down Yang's spine "I've been known to have...a way with words. All I did was just remind her place. Also...did your mom tell you it's not nice to get into anyone's business?"

Yang clenched her fist at the mention of that word

"Struck a nerve didn't I?" Jason/Gigan asked "Is she gone? Did she die...her corpse rotting in some unknown land? Or perhaps...she...left you...like an animal"

"SHUT UP!" Yang shouted "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME!"

"On the contrary...I do" Jason/Gigan said, surprising Yang "As I told Roman, in my line of work...I make as many connections as I can"

This surprised Yang...does that mean...he knows where she is?

"All I see is a scared little girl...one that only solves her problems with two fists...rather than confronting them yourself. Now then...think I'll get some payback for my t-" He tried to say, but he suddenly whipped his whole body around and blocked an oncoming Atomic Breath attack with his massive claws "Huh...I'm surprised it took him this long"

Yang stared up in shock as she whipped her head towards the source of the attack. What she saw was Chris/Godzilla in the distance, still firing his Atomic Breath a tJason/Gigan who was skidding backwards due to the breath's force

Yang was immediately brought out of her daze when she felt something on her shoulder. She whipped her head around to see Jeffery, with Alice in the distance, dragging Ruby and Weiss "Are you alright? Can you walk?"

"Y-Yeah" Yang stumbled

"Good" Jeffery said "Because we need to get these people outta here, and fast!"

Yang nodded as she got to knees and carried her fallen teammate with her, as Jeffery ran towards a plume of fire. Jeffery then drove his gauntlets into the fire and began to absorb it. The Flames spired towards Jeffery's weapon, and in only a matter of moments, not even embers remained

"One down..." Jeffery trailed off as he saw more of the fire spreading across the ground, with the combustion dust igniting and exploding every five seconds "...and one hundred more to go! Perfect!" He muttered

As Jeffery ran towards the rest of the fires, the ground shook as the two Titans began to fight right over his head. The reptile/bird hybrid brought one of his claws down, only to be caught by Chris/Godzilla's claws. Jason/Gigan then did a slight flip, kicking the Leviathan in the face, forcing him to take a step back

The Leviathan clenched his jaw before suddenly swinging his massive tail in an attempt to knock the reptile/bird monster away. Jason/Gigan smirked as he jumped over the Leviathan's tail, causing the attack to create a strong gust of wind that cause the fire to spread even more as more cars got flipped over due to the sheer force of the wind

"CAN YOU TWO DO THAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!?" Jeffery yelled

However, as the bird/reptile monster leapt, the Leviathan brought one of his claws up and grabbed the bird/reptile monsters neck. ("Why do you do this? You're one of us after all!")

("No, I'm not like you, and I'll never be") The Leviathan snarled

("That's not how the world works! Despite everything you've done, all the people you save, they still label you as a monster! And in due time...all of them will hate you for it")

("I don't see how that's my problem") The Leviathan said

("...Then perish") Jason/Gian said

Before the Leviathan could respond further, Jason/Gigan brought his bladed tip tail and slashed it across the Leviathan's chest, forcing him to let go of his opponent.

Not giving his opponent a chance to recover, Jason/Gigan rushed forwards and delivered a barrage of slashes towards the Monster King, making him stumble back even more. Jason/Gigan scoffs ("I thought you'd be more of a challenge! But I guess all of that is just talk!") He shouted as he grabbed the Leviathan's head and slammed it against his knee, the force of the impact, causing the Leviathan to topple over

The Leviathan shook his head, he casted and anrgy glare as he rushed towards Jason/Gigan, only for him to duck underneath and head-butted the Leviathan's chin, continuing his assault with a slash to the chest and slam of his tail ("All the souls that you've lost. The "innocent victims" you couldn't save!") He shouted as his eyes started to glow a crimson energy. Within moments, he unleashed beams from his eyes, scorching the Leviathan's flesh

As Jeffery began lifting and blasting pieces of rumble. Most of the people still here had their limbs crushed from the rubble, while others were simply pinned under he rocks. Thankfully, due to the fire around him, he was able to quickly reenergize himself. He could possibly do this for several hours, as long as he had a consistant source of energy.

As Jeffery began to leap across the rubble, he spotted two people, pinned down under a single piece of the road

"OVER HERE!" One of the yelled

Just as Jeffery was about to fire plasma, HiKame stopped him ('Stop! You'll scorch them!') He said, causing Jeffrey to stop

"I guess were doing this the old fashioned way" He muttered as he pried his hands under the rubble "If you can walk, help the injured!" Jeffery said, causing the two to nod in response

Jeffery locked his legs and began to lift the piece of rubble that was pinning them down, with some effort, he lifted it a few inches off of the ground. However, more pieces of the bridges began to fall and land on top of the piece that Jeffery was lifting

As more began to fall, two projectiles flew over him and blasted the falling rubble to smithereens. He turned his head slightly to see Yang, reloading her gauntlets as she rushed over to help him, pring her hands underneath as well. Both hunters began to lift with all of their might until it was enough for both of them to crawl out

Jeffery and Yang then let go of the rubble, dropping it to the ground. As Jeffery took a breather, he glanced towards Yang "So...how's you're night so far?"

"...Peachy" Yang said

Jeffery nodded "Jokes aside...is that all?"

Yang took a look around, while also carefully listening for any cry for help "I think that's all. Where's-" She tried to say. Yang was cut off by the sound of the ground shaking violently. Both Hunters whipped their head to see Chris/Godzilla being pummelled to the ground by Jason/Gigan as he roared

However to Jeffery, he was able to understand the bird/reptile monster clearly

("All of that...is your fault!") Jason/Gigan yelled

Jeffery immediately understood what he was trying to do. He was trying to get Chris to lash out in rage, not actually thinking. He quickly rushed off, only for Yang to grab ahold of his wrists "Where are you going!?" She asked

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm going to help him!" Jeffery shouted

"But we need you here!" Yang shouted

"It'll be quick!" Jeffery said as he got out of Yang's grip and ran off towards the two monsters. As Jeffery began to ignite his gauntlets, using the plasma to cut through the rubble like it was butter until he was only a few meters away from the Leviathan, who was struggling to pick himself back up from the ground.

Behind him was Jason/Gigan, who brought his claws up and slammed it back down. The Leviathan quickly rolled away at the last moment and slammed his tail into the monster's head, sending him stumbling backwards ("GGGGRRRRRAAAAAHHHHH!")The reptile/bird monster grabbed a hold of what remained of the road to stabilize himself

As he got up, he stared down the Leviathan, whose dorsal plates and cracks in between his scales began to glow a darker shade of blue...almost as if something else was going to happen ("You selfish, cocky, impure piece of trash! If there's anyone who's at fault, it's you! I won't let a psychotic maniac like you go and hurt people!")

Jason/Gigan began to rub his face from the impact...but his glare soon turned into one of curiosity ("Struck a nerve didn't I? I wonder...what has you so worked up about this? Maybe...you experienced something similar to this?")

("Shut up") The Leviathan growled, a wash of dread washed over him

Jason/Gigan smirked ("Maybe...someone you cared about...perished in the rubble...and left there, to be pecked by the birds")

The Leviathan's blood began to boil intense level as his fists tightened so hard that his knuckles cracked and blood was drawing from his hands

("And in a way...you think that by doing this, by using your power...you think you could have everything back. As I told you...that's not how this works...you save...yet...people die...and they label you for it!") Jason/Gigan yelled

("Shut up!") The Leviathan snarled. He could feel his heart rate begin to increase slowly and dramatically with his rising fury.

"HEY, CHRIS!" Jeffery shouted "I SEE WHAT HE'S TRYING TO DO! HE'S TRYING TO GET YOU ANGRY, DON'T FALL FOR-" He tried to say...only to Jason/Gigan to slam one of his claws near him, sending Jeffery flying across the night sky. Luckily, he recovered and tried to fly back towards his friend. Only for him to notice that their wee still other people in the crossfire...some of which had their phones out

Jeffery sighed "Clearly followers are more important than you" He muttered as he flew towards them.

The two behemoths clashed back and forth, wit Jason/Gigan gaining the upper hand due to his speed. Unlike Godzilla, who is more like a tank, Jason/Gigan is more flexible in combat. Allowing him to do a series of flips, kicks and other attacks just like how a human does them

("That is what drives you! Not because you want save these people...but because you want to be accepted for what you are, as your actions show! So much for the nobility of Saurians. The tRuth is…you're weak, pathetic...and you don't deserve this title!") Jason/Gigan yelled as he charged towards his opponent...who was standing still. He brought his claw up and was about to slam it back down...only for the Leviathan to catch it

("I SAID SHUT UP!") The Leviathan roared. The blue colour that was illuminating most of his body...suddenly turned darker...until it was a bloodshot red colour. His dorsal fins began to pulsate with pure crimson energy, with traces of red lightning cackling across his body.

This surprised Jason/Gigan who tried to pull away, only for the Leviathan to grip even tighter. The Leviathan then opened his jaws, as pure, crimson energy began to build up from inside his mouth. Jason/Gigan began to panic, realizing that he may have gone too far. He began to yank with all of his might, but to no avail.

Jason's eyes glowed red as he fire a beam from his eyes and struck the Leviathan...only for him to be unaffected. All that Jason/Gigan in his eyes was pury, destructive fury. Pain wasn't on the Leviathan's mind...all that mattered was that he had to take him down

The Leviathan then fired a pure, crimson beam from his mouth. The reptile/bird monster reacted quickly, ducking in an attempt to doge the oncoming attack. However, the beam struck Jason/Gigan's fins...incinerating them as the beam struck what remained of the highway behind him, exploding upon impact

The monster roared out in pain as he collapsed on the ground in pain. As the two monsters were still fighting, Yang, Jeffery, Blake and Alice got everyone as far away as possible from the oncoming fight. The four hunters noticed the change in temperature, and whipped their heads around to see Chris/Godzilla whose dorsal plates began to glow with pure, destructive crimson energy.

This crimson energy Chris/Godzilla was emitting began to melt the nearby structures until they were nothing more than just molten rock. He fired another beam from his mouth, incinerating everything in the beams path. Despite them being as far from the monsters as possible, they could still feel the pure, intense heat from afar

"I-It burns!" Yang shouted, as she, Jeffery, Alice and Blake began to cover their eyes from the intense heat produced by the beam. They could feel their skin starting to burn, in-fact they could feel that their blood was starting to boil

'Jesus...I can even feel the heat from all the way over here' Jeffery thought "Guys! We need to pickup the pace! Otherwise everyone here will get more than just a sunburn!"

"But what about Chris?" Alice asked, looking at the two Titans fighting. Jason/Gigan began backing up as the Leviathan stumbled closer and closer, each step shaking the earth

"I think he'll be fine" Jeffery said "He made the fatal mistake of pissing him off! And that is something you shouldn't do if you do truly value your life!" He said as he stared towards the two monsters

As Jason/Gigan regained his footing, Chris/Godzilla grabs onto him, digging his claws deep into him. He then slams the reptile/bird monster into a colony of pillars, with the first punch damaging them and the second knocking it over. Not giving him the opportunity to recover, the Leviathan grapples Jason/Gigans arm, flipping him over his shoulder, falling stomach first onto a pile of rubble

The Leviathan lifted his massive foot of the ground, pieces of rubble falling off. But just as he slammed it down, Jason/Gigan quickly rolled out of the way and drove one of his massive claws into Chris/Godzillas foot. The Leviathan roared out in pain as his arm shot towards on of Jason/Gigans head crests and slammed his head against the ground.

The Leviathan continued to slam his head into the ground several more times, with each strike getting more bloodier than the last. Each slam shook the ground itself as Jason/Gigan's beak began to crack with blood starting to pour out of his head

The Leviathan noticed that he was losing conscious. Still grabbing a hold of his head crest, he hurled the monster several feet. Jason/Gigan struggled to get up, he turned towards the Leviathan whose was coming closer and closer, his eyes the same colour as the crimson colour that was emitting from his dorsal fins. Whatever this power was, it was only a small fraction

What he does now that this is far stronger than any source of energy from Remnant. Not even Energy Dust can wield such destructive power. Whatever this was, it was pure, primal energy.

Jason/Gigan quickly shook out of his daze and lashed towards the Leviathan...only for him to catch one of his arm before it made contact. Jason/Gigan struggled to get free, only for the Leviahtan's grip to tighten and he slwoyl twisted his arm. realizing what the Leviathan was trying to do, Jason/Gigan began to fire his beam rapidly, attempting to at least loosen the Leviathans grip

Despite the laser striking his scales, cutting various pieces off...the Leviathan didn't even flinch. Chris/Godzilla has enough and with one final twist...he broke Jason/Gigan's arm, making a sound that echoed across the night sky. The monster released a roar of pain that echoed throughout the night sky as he stumbled backwards, holding his limped arm

Not giving him another chance, the Leviathan fired another crimson beam, striking Jason/Gigan in the chest that immediately burned away at his scales, revealing muscle from underneath

By the time the hunters managed to evacuate everyone, Yang, Blake, Jeffery and Alice quickly ran back towards where the two monsters were fighting. Their eyes widened in horror as they saw the Leviathan started to continuously pummel the monster with a series of melee and beam attacks

Blake stared into the Leviathan's eyes...only to see the same crimson colour that he was emitting. Whatever he was doing, she knew that if he didn't snap out of it, he wasn't just going to kill Jason/Gigan, there was a possible chance that the whole area could be destroyed

Jeffery could see it too, whatever Chris was doing, he wasn't himself. And all of this fighting has made things from bad to worse. They had to stop this fight right now. However...none of them couldn't move. The amount of aura and power the Leviathan was producing was almost unbearable. The hunters began to tremble at the sight, if they came closer they would surely pass out

Alice on the other hand shook out of her daze. What she saw wasn't the same person that saved her a few months back. She had heard what the Titan shifter had said to make her friend to go berserk, she had to do something. He was there for her when no one else was...so she had to be there for him

As Yang, Blake and Jeffery stood by and watched the scene unfold, Alice ran past them. Yang quickly noticed and tried to stop her, only for Jeffery to hold her back

"What are you doing!? We need to-" Yang tried to say

Jeffery cut her off "I know! But she wouldn't rush ahead without some sort of plan!"

Yang was about to respond, that is until she began to ponder his words. Alice was always a shy person, even when attending Beacon she is known to stumble sometimes. But during her time there, she has learned to open up to people, building healthy relationships and in a way, gaining more confidence in herself

Yang shook her head and stopped herself, turning around to face Jeffery and nodded. The three hunters then began to run towards the opposite direction.

The Leviathan began to strike the monster at a rapid pace with a series of swipes, stomps and a slam of his tail. The reptile/bird monster began to crawl away from the fight. However, instead of begging for his life...he was...smiling...almost as if he wanted the Leviathan to go berserk.

As he turned around, the Leviathan slammed his foot in the reptile/bird monster chest, earning a loud crack, breaking the monster's ribs. The Leviathan finally had enough as crimson energy began to build up in his mouth...preparing to fire another beam, one to end this fight

But before the Leviathan could strike the finishing blow...he felt something...warm on this back. Out of the corner of his eye he saw balls of light, each one have their own various shape and sizes.

Some were as big as the Leviathan's eyes while others were no bigger than a beach ball. These orbs began to land on the Leviathans scales, popping on impact, releasing golden particles that began to spread throughout his scales

It wasn't harmful, but it was almost...soothing. In-fact, he began to calm down significantly. He turned his head towards the night sky, towards the source of these orbs. He saw a gargantuan shape in the form of Mothra, whose wings expelled a soft golden colour

The Queen flapped her massive wings over and over again, covering the Leviathan in a swarm of golden orbs until the crimson colour from his dorsal fins turned in a soft blue colour...until it faded. The Leviathan let out a deep sigh as he began to calm down, de-powering his beam as he lifted his foot off of his opponent

Alice/Mothra then flew down to the Leviathan's side and landed on his shoulder. She placed one of her mantis-like claws on top of his head and rubbed his scales ("A-Are you...alright?")

The Leviathan took in a deep breath ("Y-Yeah...thank you for that. We...shou-*BOOM*") The Leviathan tried to say, but suddenly stopped with a series of explosions on his scales, making him roar out in pain.

He whipped his head to see an armada of Atlesian aircrafts, flying towards them all the while firing a barrage of missiles towards the Titans. The Leviathan quickly ducked down, the missiles only managing to hit his dorsal fins as the aircrafts passed overhead

The Leviathan roared out as the aircrafts did a quick U-turn and continued their assault. Using this opportunity, Jason/Gigan slowly got up from the ground, one of him arms still limp and quickly took to the skies as the aircrafts tried to shoot him down

Alice/Mothra began to spread her wing out as her wings began to glow, releasing a series of God Rays that illuminated the area in a white light. The pilots in the aircrafts shielded their eyes from the intense light, barely managing to crash into one another. But as they uncovered their eyes...both monsters had disappeared, much to their confusion

(Timeskip) City Of Vale (3rd Person POV)

Shortly after the attack, General Ironwood turned all of his attention towards locating the three monsters. Gigan had disappeared over a small storm, while Godzilla and Mothra...had disappeared into thin air. Others thought that the Monster King had somehow burrowed into the ground in order to escape

But theycouldn't find any monster-sized holes in the area. SO that was off the list. Maybe...somehow Godzilla managed to fly...yeah, that idea was shot down immediately. It was possible for Mothra to fly, but Godzilla...

This had prompted General Ironwood to authorize the relocation of Kiryu towards the city of Vale, rather than Atlas, and had to rush repairs on Jet Jaguar after being severely damaged from the White Fang's Mechagodzilla a few weeks back

However, unknown to most, the Monster King was nearby leaning on a truck. Shortly after the surprise attack from the Atelsian Jets, Chris and Alice quickly reverted back to human and left the area.

Everyone else was taken to a nearby hospital, some only received minor injuries like cuts and bruises, while others had severe injuries such as crushed, or even lost limbs. Then again, I guess that's better than death...unlike a few others

Team RWBY were currently walking back towards Beacon. Blake was more...distracted than usual, and Yang seemed to be muttering something. Ruby and Weiss looked at their teammates with concern.

Team CJA_ were just sitting a a nearby building. Jeffery went to go and get drinks as Alice had to use a washroom. He sighed as he leaned back. There were multiple thoughts in his head

Normally, words don't get to him lie that. However, it seemed like this Gigan somehow managed to read his mind. He knew exactly what to say in order to piss him off. But...he knew that would've killed him...why did he do it? What was his goal?

But the one question that stood above all else...what was that power he emitted. Whatever it was...it felt...Primal. Pure destructive energy with a power that hasn't been seen since beyond time

'The power that you released was the result of negative emotions you felt because of Gigan's words' He said And as a result, your...destructive side took complete control over rational thinking. However, that wasn't the full extent of your power

Chris's eyes widened "Wait...are you saying that was even my full power!?

'That is correct'

"Then...what will happen if I use the full extent of our power?" Chris asked

'That is for both me and you to find out'

"Wait...not even you know!?" Chris asked in shock

'We are beings of pure destruction. The possibilities are endless, but when is all said and done, life will spring forth'

"But...doesn't destruction mean that there will be nothing left?" Chris asked

'Destruction and creation are...two sides of the same coin' He laughed 'I believe that's how you phrase it. Where ever there is destruction, there will always be creation and vice versa. Just like how volcanoes erupt, they may burn the land, but they also replenish the soil while also creating new land. What you are referring to is annihilation. Something that the Ghidorah's are familiar with'

"And here was I hoping I would forget about that name...but...I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't curious" Chris said

'Curious about what?'

"Like...where they actually came from...and...if there are possibly more out there" Chris said

'Hmm...all that we do know about them is that they came from the stars, and nothing more. What I do know is that one day your'e going to have face this evil'

"Any idea when?" Chris asked

'Considering your luck...sooner than later'

Chris sighed as he suddenly laid back "And...I don't think I'll ever be ready for it...that...and well...that"

"Who are you talking too?" A voice asked

Chris turned around to see Ruby wrapped in bandages "Oh, hey Ruby. I was just...talking to myself that's all"

"I don't think that's a good habit" Ruby said

"Well...old habits die hard, I guess" Chris said "How are you holding up?"

"Fine" Ruby said "Wasn't expecting that to happen"

"Honestly, it's becoming like a Thursday now" Chris said, earning a chuckle from Ruby. However, just as she was about to respond, she caught Yang out of the corner of her eye. She seemed...stressed about something while also muttering something "Don't let it control me. Don't let is control me" Yang muttered

"Is...something wrong with her?" Chris asked

"I...don't know" RUby said "The last time she acted like was when..." She trailed off

"When...?" Chris asked in faked arrogance

"Well...it's not my place to say. So you have to ask Yang about that!" Ruby said as she got up

"...I'm getting a sense of irony here" Chris said

"More than you think" A voice said

Chris turned to see Jeffery walking towards him with a drink in bot of his hands/ He hands one to Chris who accepted the drink "Thanks"

"No problem" Jeffery said "Looked like you needed to cool down a little"

Chris chuckled "Yeah...can I...ask you something?"

"You just did" jeffery said

"Alright...can I ask you another question?" Chris asked

"You just did" jeffery said

"Okay...can I ask two questions?" Chris asked

"You just asked your first one, and now the second" jeffery said

"Really?...When?" he asked

Jeffery smirked "Just now"

"...I should've seen that one coming" Chris deadpanned

Jeffery laughed "Alright, alright. What did you want to ask me?"

"How...do you do it?" Chris asked

"Huh?" Jeffery asked

"Ever since...getting these powers...I feel like we've also been given a tremendous responsibility...almost as if we had to hold the whole world on our shoulders" Chris said "And that includes it's people"

"Why do you feel that way?" Jeffery asked

"Well, we're pretty much the only thing preventing human annihilation" Chris said "But...ever since coming here...I've always noticed that you're mostly calm. So...how do you deal with it?"

"Well...I know as Guardians we have a duty to protect others, but that was our choice" he said as he ignited a small flame in his palm "But I also know that there is a limit to our reach...no matter how far you reach out. So...I've sworn to do what I can to those that are within our reach" He said as he got up "Don't think so much about it" He said as he walked off

I've also decided to do another retcon! So...yay. This time, I have Chris remember the future events up to Volume 3. So after Volume 3, there will be no more assistance from his knowledge

And I am hoping to introduce more gadgets based on other monsters in the future.

The web-shooters were inspired by Spider-Man, but are base don Mothra's abilities. Maybe some cloaking tech inspired by Kamacuras ability

Also, please leave constructive criticisms. It's a way for me to improve my wriritng while also making sure I don't repeat the same mistakes. I was hoping to get this chapter released during Christmas Break and before the New Year, but...life happens
